ABOUT THIS EPISODE

This week's episode features a program on the rise in the New England Wolves, the defending champions in the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP).

Just like last week's guests, the New Jersey 87s, the Wolves are run by a pair of co-owners/co-coaches in Andrew Trimble and Tim Kunes. Since taking over the program in 2017, the Wolves have made steady progress in both the EHL and the EHLP, each and every season. This year, their goals are big at the EHL level, and even bigger in the EHLP, as they look to repeat as champions.

As for the player on the podcast this week, Rob Haak chose the Wolves and the EHL for his final year of junior hockey and it paid off immediately. The '99 native of Spencerport, NY made his commitment to Morrisville State back in October, and just like the coaches, he wants to see both programs advance all the way to the 2020 EHL Frozen Finals in Providence, RI.

Whether both teams advance all the way or not, the Wolves have become one of the top programs in the #Eshow through a steady progression. One step at a time through one season at a time, and Laconia, NH is a community that has fully embraced their team.

Welcome to the e show with Neil Ravn. With over onezero NCAA commitments, the ehl is the proven path to college. Turn it up and learn more about the college place bent leader at the division two and three levels. Welcome to the east show. My name is Neil Raven. This is episode number three, brought to you by Shell six, the official training aid of the east show. Will Bring in Jeff and Brittany, now a few days removed from the showcase. Guys, Brittany, are you all recovered? Yes, definite recovered. P showcase and I don't know how many days for maybe three. Jeff has the voice. Odds sounds a little better today. I got another broadcast to get back to. One o'clock face off today. So and we got the HLP. I finally got my schedule confirmed for this weekend, so I get another seven games this weekend. You know, Britny, did you get a picture of Jeff when he was like inches away from Anthony Collin that last game? But looks a little little tight. I'M NOT gonna lie, hired I we needed to get pictures of that. That was an unbelievable set up. First Time I've ever done something like that we made it work. One of the best games of the showcase too. Yes, very I was an unbelievable game. Eighty seven's losing overtime to Vermont and Vermont actually winning both their games this weekend at the showcase in overtime. The first one was a shootout winner and second one. Looken to Scannyo top shelf to one win for the Jacks. Yeah, so it was really a great showcase all around. A lot of parody. It was really pretty even to between the two conferences and that's actually a good transition. The sevens were last week's guests on the podcast and will begin our around the east show segment with this week's guest. It's time for this week segment of around the east show. So this week's guests on the east show are the New England waves. As we mentioned, we're going back and forth between the North Teams in the cell team. So first I want to welcome in the CO owner the GM and the EH L PEA coach. I think those are all your titles, right, Andrew? Yeah, thank you. D having meal and then we'll welcome in the head coach of the EHL team, timkenes. How's it going? Hey, doing well. Thanks for having us. And then they have one player joining them this week. That's Rob Hake, the first player to commit for the wolves this season. How's it going, rob, good? Thanks for having us. And then, and you will started off with you. Obviously we had a little bit of a Hiccup yesterday trying to record this, but after we talked for a little bit, I went back and I looked across the league and your organization's actually one of two organizations where there are co owners and Co coaches, the other one being the eighty seven with Matt hearn and and Adam hoolie. How do you think that helps you guys help being co owners and Co coaches? With Tim? I think that's a really good point. We Tim and I we make our decisions. We make them based upon the hockey first. We're not making this visions with any other interest in my other than getting our kids prepared for college, getting them have successful seasons on the ice and and have the bad most successful program we possibly can. So our decision making, in our thought process is very different than some organizations where there may be a little bit different or ownership structure and Tim. You guys are clearly having the best ehl season so far to date. What do you think has been the difference between this year's team compared to previous year's team? Yeah, thanks, I think I think this year, you know, I think we have a little more depth, where last year we had some really good and individual talent, like last year we had Tom Marsh and cabbage led the league and goals, but this year we have a bunch of players that are over a point per game and really we're we're much better at every position this season. And Rob, question for you as far as how have you seen this team change since Andrew and Tim switch things up and took things over up...

...there in Laconia around two thousand and seventeen? Just the whole program has gotten better. Like they said, the decisions towards the kids. It's about moving us on the college the it's just the facilities have gotten better just all around. They've done a really good job and they've made it easier for kids to come here and move on to that level and that's a great transition. Because, rob this is your final year of junior hockey. My question is more for Tim, but tim the steady progression that you've had over the years. How have you seen that impact your recruiting? Yeah, I think that only helps you know what kids want to play for, for good teams and good programs. But I think really, like Andrew said, what we're focused on is the development of the kids as as players and people. Like we want to move them on to college. At the same time want to have those the players in our program to be prepared for that next level. So, like when we're when we're on the ice, we do skills every day. We do a team practice every day or in the gym every day. So we're really focused on kind of maximizing the potential of every player in our program and helping them not just get to college but to make an impact when they step on campus. And Rob you made the switch from the USPHL to the EHL. Out of the nineteen teams in the EHL, what made you decide to go with the New England wolves? The family atmosphere they have up here. It's all about buying into a system and being close as a group and they go out and helping the community and I really like to go out and help out where I kn and Andrew, as far as you used to coach the Big Ehl team and then obviously, last year you coach the Ahl Premier Team to a championship, or the changes that you've seen yourself and what went into that decision process as far as switching things up with Tim, being that you guys are co owners, and how did that all come about? Well, when they started the program here in Lakonian two thousand and fourteen, I was the peak coach. I coached at that level for a number of years and that really that level fits my personality and works to my personal strength, I think, really well. When Tim retired from professional hockey and joined the program, was around the time we made that ownership change and and tim kind of got his you know, did this first year at the p level and then, you know, the transition was really seamless to have him be the head guy at the hl t and he's done a tremendous job in that role and I think he's taken the program, in my opinion, to a new level. You know, it was just kind of like when we made that decision it was, like I said, to our own personal strengths and in my opinion, you know, we wouldn't be out where we're at with that team if we had kept me in that position. So it's been. It's been really a tremendous benefit to the organization and you've already set a franchise record for wins in the year. Your commitment's already done. Rob You know, one of the goals from here on now, it's only the middle of January, just to do as much as I can help the team move forward. You know, yeah, I got the commitment down, but in the long run it's about winning a championship with the wolves first, because I'm still in season one them get as many as my teammates on the college helped them out a a team first mentality. And Andrew, I'm assuming that you know one of your goals is to go back to back in the premiere. What does it like to have the premier kids returning from last year's championship team to your team this year? That's a really good question. We were able to bring back like leave seven players who weren't quite ready to make the jump to the EHL. We actually had a premier level in two thousand and one thousand eight hundred and nineteen. We were actually a really young team with a ton of kids who were two thousand. I mean for the most part we could have been a u a teen team, even though it was a nineteen age classification. So we brought a ton of players back. We moved a number of players on too, coach Qings as Ehl team, and we know we started...

...the season off pretty slow, but I think that leadership group, having kids who were a little bit battle tested, made a big difference in writing the ship. So we started one, three and two, but since November I think we've been one of the best teams in the league and it really set them up for this success later in the year, having that kind of that leadership corps and having early on it was missteps. So you know, we're playing our best hockey this time of the year and it's exciting and tim how does it feel to be one of those quieter teams? I mean it's you guys are starting to not become such a secreting more, being that you're on a game winning streak. You're eating too. In your last ten, you guys are really starting to take down some of the high reschal on teams in the League. What is it like being that kind of team under the radar, and how do you go in the locker room daytoday and talk to you guys about that and try to, you know, keep their mindsets in the underdog type frame, especially you coming from you played for a big program and Boston College, who were far from underdogs. You guys used to being at the top. How do you embrace that, being the underdog? Yeah, I don't know. As far as like being an underdog, I don't. I don't think that myself. For the guys in that room feel like underdogs. Like I think what now? We're like twelve and two in the last fourteen games. You know, if you know, people underestimate us. You know, I think we've we've beaten all a bunch of teams that are at the top of this league, you know. So I know that, like the guys we have, believe, believe in the team and we're playing really well with a lot of confidence right now. So, like, I don't know, like you know, if other people see us as underdogs, but you know, we don't feel that way. We feel we can compete at any night with any team in this league. I think that's a great transition, because you just mentioned the guys you have. Why don't they go around the Horn here and if you want to start first sub players that you each think you should watch for on the wolves. So and you can talk about premier players, Tim talk about some ehl guys, and then row maybe talk about some of your teammates that you think have commitments coming soon. And I really impressed you in practice well, with our HLP guy when we took over the program. To any we we always said our import players have to be some of our best players, that you can't have import players who aren't impact players and are certainly on the P team. We have three impact players who are coming from overseas, Herbie's IBOTS for cards jolenski's and Dmitri no Horney from Belarus, and those kids are fantastic kids in our lot whom there are some of our hardest workers and they've been some of our best players on the ice up front. Now on the back end, Andreas Mitika, he's also was born in Czech Republic. He moved here when he was nine. He speaks like four different languages and that kids in Afo awesome student athlete, but also he's a he's a great leadership part of our team. And then in Net's course, and Gates as a returner to the program. He's from Buffalo New York and he's a great kid in the lock and we provide leadership and he's also been really solid for us and nets. So we think we got a good core with that group and a couple other pieces, certainly on that roster. And then Tams. Some hl guys to watch. Yeah's some guys to watch. I think you know when we said we're better at every position. One of those is on the back end. There you guys, obviously Robbie, who's WHO's here with us today, but we also have Julius Kondal, WHO's only a two thousand and one who's close to a point per game. From the back end. We have another young player, is Kevin Bite, who's only been playing defense for about the past eight or nine games, which is also coincide with a lot of wins for our team. So he'll be an interesting guy to watch here going forward. And then, rob is anybody stood out to you and practice some of your teammates that you think the fans at homes to keep an eye on? Yeah, a couple guys have,...

...like Jack Laran. He's really turned it up this season. Him being a point per game. He's always working hard, always talk on pox, always strong a lot the guys. Matamante, he's always doing the right things, always in the gym, always push himself on the ice. Is always trying to find ways to get the fucking in that or trying to make that extra move to get the opportunity. The last one's Tommy Condon. He's unbelievable skater. People don't think how doesn't think he's fast, but in reality you just give them that extra second and he's gone around and he's has the scoring opportunity at the cage and then Ange will bring it back around to you again. We touched on it a little bit throughout the podcast so far. Obviously, you guys are up on Laconia. You have a huge community backing and you're also backtoback humanitarians of the year in the EHL. How does you know the impact that you guys have on the community and their impact on you impact the overall program? Well, I think that's one of the things that the coach cones and I realize I could separate our program from other programs. Know, we know where we are. We're here in Lakonia, New Hampshire. It's the smallest community in the entire league and if we try to, you know, pretend like we're something we're not and if we're in a you know, two or three sheet facility and a big metropolitan market, that's just not us. So what we embrace being in Laconia and we embrace our community and I think there our community pays it back to us by attending our games and being being rapid fans for our organization. So we do, like you said, we do have the JABT game that's coming up from the twenty five and you know, for that game, for the kids who are new to the organization, they're going to see five hundred people in the building, they're going to see a pretty rowdy fan base, they're going to see some of the you know, prominent people in the community out here supporting that great cause and that's a big part of our identity here with the wolves and something both Tim and I are really, really proud of. So, Andrew, how did jbt night become one of the biggest events for you guys as an organization and who do you think will be the shootout winner this upcoming year? Well, the events started in two thousand and fifteen sixteen season. I just become a new dad for the first time and and I had known that I had known John Bradley Thompson Pretty well in his family, and then seeing him pass away was really, really a tough thing. So we want to do something as a team to get behind that cause and we created the event which occurred in January that year in the first game we ever played for the JABT game. We beat the Vermont lumberjacks. Hundred and twenty six was an unbelievable event and they continue to grow, but last three four years. This is the fifth year of the event and it's the fourth year of the shootout, and the shoot up makes a big difference in terms of how we raise money and each person gets a group of supporters to raise money for their individual shooter. And last year is champion with Jeff Dorcy. He works for John, for Jesse Thompson, and he's kind of the favorite going back, going back to return as the the shooter. We've had other guys like Bart Compel, you know, NHL veterans like Derek Becker and Steve leech shooting that but that they just can't beat Jeff Darcy and he's a local, he's a local guy and he he goes out there and crushes it. So I think he might. He might win again. And actually this question is kind of for all of you guys. So we talk to the eight sevens last week. It seems to be the theme of the Ehl this year is these hashtags that people are using on social media. They use Hashtag two teams, one city. You guys have a hashtags that says wolf bike. Can you guys just go into how did that come about, what exactly doesn't mean, and just give us a little bit of the origin of how that came to be? I'm a pretty novice and social media. I've gotten better at it over the years. Brittany told me to use the stop using any wolves, to use Hashtag Wolf Bite, and, being that I don't know any better, I chose them to that. Is that a win only Hashtag, because I see it mostly when you...

...win, though. Right, yes, I don't know. I'M NOT gonna I don't know. I guess I've right if we lost and I would have Hashtag of be Hashtag like bitten, bitten by the fold. So, but a lot of organizations that we've talked to you so far and some that are coming up as well. They really just emphasize the whole program that they have, ehl and EHLP. Their goal is to get both teams to Providence. Has that been something that you guys have talked about throughout the year as well? Yeah, I think. Yeah, that's definitely a goal of Andrew's and mine. You know, we want to have to really strong teams and and, like I said before, with with an eye on development for the players just number one. It's not like win at all costs. You know, operation here. I think you know. I I tell like my guys before the season and we want it. We want to win games, want to move on to college and prepare you, you know, maximize your potential and make your better player. And like we're not going to sacrifice one of those for the other. I think we can do all three at the same time. So with that, you know, we obviously that's all timan goal whenever you start a hockey season is to win a championship. So you know, we definitely want at both levels have a strong team. Well, they had the folks. They are the New England wolves, both on the ice and off the ice. They're turning heads throughout the EHL and the EH LP. For the EHL team, they hit the ice with the warriors today at noon. Then they have a big match up with the seahawks on on Sunday at fifteen we'll see Andrew and his eh L P team and Worcester for that showcase, for they face off against the little flyers, revolution and Bridgeman. Thank you, guys, for your time and good luck this week. Thank you, guys, thanks for having us. Thank you, thank you. Thanks again to the wolves for joining us on the third episode of the PODCAST. So we'll continue our away back around the east show not a really busy weekend this past weekend the the EH LP Brittany, but it was the final weekend before this weekends upcoming showcase. Yes, there was eleven games throughout the weekend. I'd say the game that was probably the most interesting to watch was the series the avalanche had with the Rangers. The avalanche took game one in overtime, but then the junior rangers came out the second day and shut out the avalanche five to nothing. So I'd say that was probably the best series of the weekend. And then I think just one thing to note is that the eighty seven's premier team, I think, the run in eleven game win streak with their shootout when over the revolution on Sunday. So I would say those were the two main things to discuss in the PA and with that win on Sunday against the revolution they actually become the fourth longest winning streak in EH LP history. So they could as a record to watch. I know they've had a number of close games in their winning in a shootout on Sunday night, but you never know, maybe maybe they keep things going. I know definitely they want to stay as the one seed as we head towards the postseason. And then transitioning Jeff, maybe you want to start at the eighty seven EHL team. Yes, it didn't win both games, but they were in probably two of the most exciting games for you over the weekend. Yes, they were coach Uli in the bunch getting a tough shake there. They got called for a high sticking miner at the end of that second game. That, luckily, was the hockey TV game of the week. It was had the pleasure of having the sevens, played by play man Anthony to Polo, on with me and as you mentioned earlier. We made it work on our tight little station that we had built by Dave the Raul and, but it was it really was bet in all honesty, probably the best hockey game of the...

...weekend. Logan to scadio ended up scoring on the power play after the sevens got called for that high sticking minor. But as coach Uli and coach Karen talked to us, you know, they said that showcase play is an area that they've been trying to improve on and they did end up getting a split. They won that late game, so it was kind of a tough turn around. They played that last game on that first night. It was eight hundred and twenty was our face off. I believe it was actually closer to thirty and New Jersey and up winning three, two, one, so they at least get that. Also the extra point for losing an overtime. So you come away with three out of a possible for points and we'll have to see down the stretch if coach Woli and the bunch can keep things moving along. And Brittany, I know Jeff just mentioned his name. Logan to scanny. Oh, do you know how many points he's away now from breaking the record. What? Oh, no, I knew this answer like three days ago. He's good. I just I think it's six. Wait, wait, he's definitely at like one fifty, eight or nine. We have gold assist this weekend. He had two points, so I think he's six. Well, okay, said that means he's at one hundred and fifty nine, one hundred and sixty. So exactly, I'm not as right like I would you that doing basic math. Okay, yeah, so we're getting close. Hopefully it happens next Friday, the twenty four big till Bjr be all bic. He's got two games this weekend against the sea coast spartans at home and then, like you just said, that I've already submitted that one to hockey TV. I think that was a pretty easy submission for me to make. That one next week's game of the week. Maybe it's that night, maybe that, maybe this isn't. We'll see. He's getting he's definitely getting close, though. Be in the building. Break Away. I center real fun player, watter. He's him and him and Buffalo r our of thing of beauty when it comes to watch those two on the power play in the coach Mosso's power play unit, with the way they move the puck around is it's really fun to watch as a broadcaster and I'm sure all the fans of homer enjoying it too. And they are tied for first in the League in power play percentage at twenty seven point eight. I'll quiz you guys in that one of the second I think they have like fifty five powerplay goals. I know who the first team is. Are you know who? They're tied with? Walls, Jerni readers, the Seahawks, seahawks hockey club. See how'm talking? Called blows at a bone. How are you? Knows the toilet. Let us yeah. Well then, who has the top PK in the League? Brittany, if you are wall pull, Wall pull by, you're wrong by point one hundred and eight. It's so Rude Jersey Kavan. Who is the best? I have no idea. Seahawks again, so specialty, ablowny specially. That's a that's a big thing with Coachanna Bony. Well, other takeaways did you guys have from the showcase? I mean myself personally. Going into it, we had had sixty four cross conference games already before this showcase started in the advantage pointed pretty heavily in front of the Ingham Conference. Forty four. It's twenty. Day One, though, pretty much, and even Split Day too. Pretty much, and even split. Did you guys notice that as well? Yes, the south, they showed up, especially the revolution. The Revolution had fantastic weekend. I think that's very important to know that. They're I think they're in like a five game win streakers x or something like that. It's five. It's five now, and they have climbed up the number two in the standings, and I just talking their coaches like that. Is that's going to be a fun race them in the rough riders, like based solely off the distance to that you'd have to go to face them in a playoff series, like they're going to be hosting every game. Whoever is the t see? That is something else. I know it. Oh yeah, because it's over a hundred miles. That's right, the a hundred miles, under an hundred and twenty five to be exact. Sorry, twenty five, but something else. I know you correct you correctly the last...

...week's get the correct to this week for Oh yeah, Youtube still swinging in. We're all friends here's a good well, yeah, before I hit start recording, the first thing today was fighting. Well, no, itsually not from kind of art. Sorry for this far away. Sorry to cut you a who are you gonna say you to? Okay, so I one of the take was. I took at least for my games and, as you guys know, the at the sea coast. First of all, that's ECOST rink is awesome. Props to bridge rider and the SECO spartans. Thank you again to them for the warm hospitality they gave us. They put on some great food. We had some CROC pot food for the first time in a showcase ever, at least I've we had Mac and cheese, unbelievable food and they just they did a great job and, as you guys know, that's a great thing. You got to take care of the scouts, keep them coming and keep them happy and the facilities were great, but the rings were kind of far apart and we don't have a lot of time for the Games. But all the Games on my sheet I don't think we had a team score over five goals in a game. Some of these showcase games, as you guys both know, they get all to be a little high scoring affairs, but I pretty much all tight games both Sunday and Monday, and so that was something that I noticed that I talked to one of my broadcasts and it makes sense because now you're reaching that home stretch of the season, so teams are starting to play a little more tight, a little more defensively, not trying to take as many chances, try not to be that first team to make the mistake in those type battles. You saw that with the eighty sevens a lumberjacks for a while. Play got stuck in the neutral zone for a long time there in the second period, and that's one. It was one to one and all the teams were just kind of kind of seeing each other and playing a little bit of a chess match and it really was just an awesome week in a hockey and another team that really was exciting to watch was team Marilyn. Team Marilyn almost took down coach DiCaprio and his Boston junior rangers. With that, they now have a fourteen game winning streak. Went Team Marilyn was facing off against them. It was at thirteen games and they end up losing by just a five for margin. But they were up late and that game. But then coach DiCaprio drew up a very fancy play with young came off the bench. She snuck them behind the defense and went in our breakaway and he sunk it. Yeah, younger's goal was groostable and Dave, or Doozy, played a unbelieable game. How exactly x, but he was just you just can't see. got a credit the shooter there. It was just an unbelievable move. Yeah, and that was actually just going to ask you about that as you took the time. In my head, like we've all these close games and even a team like the Rangers, who we've talked about, you know a lot on this podcast throughout the year so far. You know, I'll lost in October, I'll loss in November. You know that's been it. But three nothing against the chiefs, five for late against team Maryland like that just shows you the parody in the League right now. It does, it really doesn't. Team Maryland's a team that's right at that. You know, five hundred mark they've been, but they play a lot better than the record shown in they're sixteen, seventeen and three officially in the standings which they're battling with coach Cattron on the little flyers for that Ford spot. They're both team Maryland three points behind little fires currently, so they're trying to, you know, Jockey back and forth for moving up in position. But they play a lot better than their record chosen. I think I did mention that. They seem to be hitting a tough skin right now. They're two and eight in the last ten, but coach Fusco really does have good control that bench and you can see all the guys listening to him. That was actually another fun point of being in my vantage point for this broadcasting was getting a little different look. For those of you that did a tune in any of the Games, I was right behind the home penalty box, so I was being able to listen to the coaches, see the players come off and you can see their demeanors and whatnot, which, honestly, was kind of a cool thing and I was trying to add that element into my broadcast. And he just touched on the little flyers. Before last week's podcast we touched on their game with the avalanche. Brittany was there. was there...

...was there any talk afterwards about a little bit of revenge gained back by the little flyers. Oh Gosh, the little fires. What a what a group? What a group? Yeah, they're a three. Yes, they loved it. They left it. Yeah, we know those two teams hate each other, to be great honest. Yeah, you don't like each other. Yeah, Tyler Marvel's goal was also grows well, and that it's four big points. I mean, like Jeff just said, like that's the F five matchup right now in the mid Atlantic conference and it may come down to the last weekend as to who be who gets the host games one and, if necessary, three in that series. Yeah, the little flyers. Did they play Maryland again? Yes, they do. It's their third to last game of the year. They only have one more and it's at Maryland. Maybe it comes down to that match show. But transition back to the Rangers for a second. I mean, I know we've talked about them a lot. It's tough not to at twenty seven for now. It's tough not to, though, right. I pulled rich aside over the weekend and I kind of put them on the spot, so I'll put you guys in the spot too. They are three. I keep updating our EHL record books throughout the season. And then there's three active records right now. And I said rich which which one of these three is realistic? So all time wins, Billy Gerard has thirty six all time, meaning, you know, going back. How are many years for in the league, regular season plus postseason? So he has thirty six total. The records fifty one. Wow, running probably Philadelphia, Phil Philadelphia Little Flyers. Can he get the fifteen wins? Is One question. Billy Gerard, for shutouts, has six shutouts. The record. Same Guy, Brendan Brawli, little flyers, thirteen shut ups. The last record, the last records. The fourteen straight wins. This one probably is the hardest one to get. Winning Street record is there is thirty games. Yeah, but like those three. I love. That's a risk, because rich was like he was like sweating responding to it. He's like, I don't know, man like, like those are all like. I mean, it's billy and I win sixteen more games. Will he get eight? Or let's see, eight more shutouts and then we win. That to be seventeen straight games to set the record. Look, I don't know, maybe I can see each shut out. See, no, no, if I look at the rest of their schedule, there's like, I would say, like two or three games he could probably get a shutout in. If you look at the rest of their schedule. And this is this fascinating debate about that we've touched on. We didn't talk about as much with the wolves. I mean they're still in line for possibly the four see which would give them a buy from the playin round. Like, how are these teams gonna manage their rosters and get other guys in and get backup goalies in to be healthy when it gets time for March? Because, yes, you want to earn a first round by but like, if you don't, are you're going to be worn out if you do, or you going to be rusty. This is going to be fascinating to watch. Well, Richard told us that to neil he had said that. That was part of our conversation in the first episode. That everyone can go catch on spotify if you missed it, spotify, apple, itunes, Sound Youtube, pretty much anyway you can find it deals put it. But that was one thing that he said to us right was he told billy, listen, you can, you're not going to lose your job. This year and you're going to have to play the majority of these Games. And then I'm pretty sure that he had said that in the interview that they're going to ride billy throughout the stretch. But that is a fascinating question, knowing all these records are on the line and and checking those off. The shutouts. There's no way they have to play lumberjacks four times. You get the ABS a couple of times whipple express. Those are just too good at teams. There's no way that as good as billy is. Love the kid and he's fun to watch, but I would be shocked, and I'm sure maybe he'll use that as some motivation maybe to try and prove US wrong, but eight shutouts against all those teams would be that's going to be...

...tough. The wins, possibly because coach DiCaprio said he's going to ride them throughout, so that could probably be the one out of the three that I think he might get. But yeah, that's it is a tough that's a really tough question to answer. Certain that's why those coaches get paid the big bucks and we'll just sit here behind the microphones and do our broadcasting think, because that is not something I would want to be involved in, and so the people at home can know, as I mentioned, it's Brinnan Brawley with the record fifty one wins all time. Playoff puts regular season. So for Billy, look at it like this. Obviously you can have the win games down the stretch and then if you if you were to assume they win the championship right, that would mean a Max of six wins in the playoffs, which would then mean he have to win twelve games in the regular season. It's just it's possible. But the question is, when does there become a target on the rangers back, like someone wants to take these guys down? Marylyn almost did. Oh, there's already a target. The target is there. The target is present. Show so, okay, Brittany, who has put the target on their back? Ver Mont, Oh God, it's why you gotta play those two games first. Yeah, you do, but Oh, B Jr, Vermont lumberjacks, there's a whole lot of tenships weekend to a double set that you're gonna have a call of correct meal the twenty four time all. I got the call Friday. I don't have the call Saturday. Saturday's a the twenty five. We can't get too far ahead, but like that's a crazy day in the leak. I think we have like eight EHL Games, another five or six HLP games. Is jbt night for the wolves, going back to them. It's a military night for the APALANCHE. I'm calling one game. I think I had a chance to maybe call to but I'd be doing what you do, Jeff, and pulling on two wheels and run up, got up and plug in. So but like that's just a crazy game. But I think that's all a great transition because now we can go over what to watch for this upcoming week and the EHL and the NHLP before we wrap things up. Here's what to watch board this week in the east show. All right, so who wants to kick things off? May You, Brittany does, with the premiere showcase this weekend, the premiere showcase. I can't wait. I'm excited for the Peach Showcase Watch for because, well, we have we have a whole bunch of things here. So we have little flyers play the avalanche first time, their meeting in the premier game of the Waton. That's the freaking that's the that's the game of the week. That's the last game on Saturday. But then rewind a little bit. Here we have little flyers wolves also on Saturday at one hundred and forty, which is the Premiere Championship rematch. That's going to be a good one. I don't know how many kids, though, the little flyers have back from last year. I don't know. They have like, they have like, they have Bouchard and they have like headman and I think Sebastian Room and I can played last year, had been was the one to open the scoring in that championship game last year. I remember the ad they had that night. Interviewed Him and I interviewed him after. I was crazy am last year time that wolves little flyers rematch, a talking about Britt that was number. How many people were down there. So I was louder than our like ehl championship. I following there's so many people down the world's tremble. Well, the cody of following the wolves, the wolves mafia, is wrong. It makes the call so much better as a broadcast or you're getting chills and excitement and try not to lose your voice and it's just it's really exciting and that should unfortunately, I don't have the call that game. I was actually just looking at my skied will see if I have that one. I did not. You know what's funny Toi I actually look back at that box where there a day and I still think of that game as a two hockey game.

The final tendity look forward to because Alex Garpett, it was for to because Tenley, Alex Carper discording happy that goal with eighty seconds left, like pointing like it was the game was over right the like it's still win and of the back of the goal. We all happened so fast that you know what I mean. It's really such a crime, though, too, because that really was more of a three two game on a for two games. So it's kind of a crime. You look back the box sports see it was a you know, to goal, even though you can look and see was an empty netter. But well, not people will do that. Well, other Games should we watch for at the Premiere Showcase Brittany there's the avalanche railers and the railers beat the avalanche a few weeks ago, so that will be a good one. They could Posi we both being in that could be a champion, not championship. What am I saying? That could be a playoff match. Um, what else? I'm curious to see how the eighty seven's wall pole game goes, because wall poles like what polls the sneaky team in the P too low key, and we know I love the eighty seven so well, in the sevens. The eighty sevens run a heater. Yes, they're on eleven game winning streak. Number One. Their record is twenty one, three and two for the year. In the Premier Division there showcase records, though, to to old. So bad. Yeah, it's knock sorry, so badn't go block herring back about that one. Give with that one. I know. Hi wrying, Ryan Crane and squad. I don't want to hear anything. We really don't know. They're nineteen and one and that one was the opening game of the season for them. So now would have a little fires. They've won nineteen straight regular season games outside of showcase play. But showcases, man, they'll trip you off. That's reas. It's tough because, for you know, the Premier Division we we only have three as opposed to the five showcases in the EH shels. So we have to stack the Games a little bit tighter, so you're playing two games in one day. Maybe you leave that morning crack at dawn. They didn't get enough sleep. On the pause. It's tough. Like it's tough and and and. For the Sevens, I'm sure they'd like to close out this one with a little bit of a statement. I think their schedule, let's go to it now. On the eighteen they have just they have to the first day twenty five and three hundred and fifty five and then just one. The second day, twelve forty. So maybe we could have asked them this, like would you rather play one game day one and then two games stay too like do you want to get up there faster or do you want to get get home fasters? It's a tough question. I feel like I would rather play two games a second day so you can like get built up into it a little bit, kind of get warmed up right so you can like not just get off the bus and Scot points to the first day is tough. That's like getting off the bus playing to that kind of and it's day once. Then you're kind of exhausted. Day Two you come back and maybe lay an egg because you just gasped. Well, it is is one period less, right, if for the for the room for the two games on Saturday, you it's fifty minutes and fifty minutes. So collectively you save twenty minutes, if we want to call it that. But Hey, you know what press pressures on then, because it just like in the EHL division, the battle for playoff positioning. It's huge that. You know, it goes without saying the higher up you are, the better match. If you get you get the play at home. You know, for the eighty sevens it's all about staying as that one seed. And we can talk about it. I mean the two three match up. Someone's going to get the revolution and Brittany touched on the little bit. Their premier team is retooled and they're dangerous. Well, goes without saying. You rather face the four, see then the three seat. Yeah, it's the sevens barely won. It's a shootout. Yeah, one in the shootout. God, the kids are going to be so mad at me. I'm so sorry. We're anyways. See, I roasted the little flyers. Now I'm rosing them. So sorry I'm at this.

And then, Jeff, what do you got to watch from the EHL. So what to watch for the UHL? Neal? I'm just going to go through some matchups. We got the Thursday seahawks avalanche, which I think you'll be on the call for. Pill you only and I'm heading there yet. I'll be there. Okay, so that's I will be on those seahawks Bush. Well, usually work for the avalage to Brid so you're what are you doing on coach sand about? He's Seahawks, but behind the scenes, a day in the life of the Seahawks, a day in the life of Britt I go on the bus with the sea high after the seahawks. That's step. It's Japer go pro a lot on on one of their heads. Oh Gosh, I don't even know who I'd pick. John Murphy, kid handling Dan life of Kate Hamley. What a day that would be. But that matchup neal is huge because that's the three four positions. Seahawks currently sitting at forty eight points, two thousand four hundred and ten and Oh, and the avalanche two thousand and eight and three ABS. Do have two games in hand, but just three points separating those two. So that's a huge matchup. To Watch out for and I'm sure it's going to be a Greek game for you to also grant to you. And let's see the other matchups. I was looking at express avalanche. That's another tough game on Saturday, the Saturday coming up, because the express are trying to continue their push up the standings and what do you know, they're two points behind the avalanche. But again in Hampshire, has two games in hand on Walpole, just like they do with seat with the seahawks. So that's another good matchup to watch out for. Than the final one, I think, was Sunday's game. That was again the seahawks and they're playing the the Winglem Wolves, coach Ques and rob hate we just had on the program they're going to be locking heads to finish off the wheat there on Sunday and the wolves again, they're sitting there forty two points, sitting currently in that sixth spot. They're trying to move up the standing. So that's another huge game and watch out four. So looks like we got a week full of really good tilts for everyone to tune in on hockey TV and listen to. Do Neil Raven and the bunch and everybody calling those games and should be good. And I think the most important number to watch for with the wolves is they've only played thirty one games. They have games in hand on a lot of teams above them. So well, at one point in the year it kind of just thought of that it was a first four teams in the in the north, and then there was the next four and then there was the guys that were trying to crack in the that bottom group and making in the playoffs. It's really tough to say who will be avoiding that playing around up north, and I think that's a great final transition. I was not going to tell you guys when this is coming next. I'm not the show case last weekend. Have your frozen file picks changed at all? Oh don't. Did I have again? You had up? No, no, I remember. Yeah, I recall, I recall. No, your's lumberjacks and now it's not changing. And then you had eighty seven's revolution. Yeah, no, I'm keeping it. Premier had avalanche railers, eighty seven little flyers. I don't know, nothing's changed. I'm just gonna keep I'm just gonna remain with my picks. I'm keeping them I'm keeping Jeff, especially after the revolution weekend. They had so okay. And then, Jeff, I think you had the same for Rangers lumberjacks. No, sorry, you had rented express. Yes. So here's the idiot. There's the kind of crummy thing I was so when I made that pick, I fresh. I told you guys, I watched that special on Nesson about cody Campbell in the express'd really liked what I saw. Sad thing is I haven't called. I don't. I've called like probably one express game all season. So pretty much just following through the box scores and the games that Jimmy Cabes called. Just kind of watch them from our Yain. So kind of hard to realize, I don't know. And then seeing the teams that I've seen. I really liked what I saw from the lumberjacks this weekend. I might have to bump them into my second pick. Make It ragers lumberjacks from the New England. And Then, looking at minute wink, I picked eighty seven's rough riders at seven UN's definitely going to stick with. Still like what...

I'm seeing down there in New Jersey from them. Revolution or started to get a little hot saw them this weekend come up with a couple of wins. They got to showcase sweep their nine and one in the last ten. And their team we seen in providence last few years and it was able to call couple rough or at least one of those rough riders games. They're still eating too in the last ten. Why don't we shake it up there too? will go eighty seven revolution and then up top Rangers Jacks. It's okay. Do I what do I have to update? Nine, Brittany? Yeah, Nelie had to update. You don't get away with this just because he has this isn't me. You get away with it. Yeah, meal, I'll stick with Rangers seahawks. In the New England conference, I will stick with what I had down south. Eighty seven's rough riders and the Premiere. I'm going to stay with I don't remember exactly what I had there. I think I had avalanche and Rangers. I want. I think that one's going to be is going to happen there, and then seven and little flyers on that and and hey, we keep getting closer and closer to the Providence. I think we're under seventy days now. And yes, I asked Alexa last night. So did you ask Alexa how many days until Providence? Did you say how many days until March? Twenty five? Well, I said the twenty nine because that's the final days. We're skipped. We're skipping the first four days. Yeah, this does still exist. I mean there's a full rolland Robin, there's a banquet and then there's semi finals, but those days don't exist. All the players that we're gonna all the players, but we're gonna all those players that we're going to announce on the broadcast and cheasing to interview, and then you're going to do the PA out for those days don't exist. We're just going to skip the championship Sunday. All right, yeah, right, are you talking about? I thought, Oh yeah, I got that on my calendar to I thought I was just showing up on Sunday. Colin, he's what's wrong with you? Okay, so pritty. I mean if, for it is skipping man, who wins championship Sunday? Okay, now we won't. We want you, all right, Rangers. Okay, anyway, did you hear that, Jeff? No, I did it in very quietly. It was the Boston junior rangers. That would do it for this week's podcast. All right. Thank you, guys, for your time.
