On this week's episode we recap one of the best showcases in the history of the League. The weekly run down features a look back at all the tremendous matchups that took place and highlights the impact on the EHL and eh l peep power rakings. Continuing on with the e crew fantasy challenge, and it was a productive weekend for everyone, as the gaps in the standings continue to contract. Last but not least, we preview the upcoming schedule and circle a number of games to tune into on hockey TV what's up e crew? Are we all caught up on sleep from the showcase? Absolutely not, Neil, everyone else, I think. I definitely am thanking her about that. Monday I definitely kind of my sleep and it was a fun showcase, but I'm right back in it. Let's go, like I just totally forgot what it was like to walk out of a rink like literally in the middle of at night. Basically. I think we walked out of there a few nights close to thirty eleven o'clock, and then stay to yourself. I have to be back inside this building in less than twelve hours, like I'm three years since we've all done this. Guy, I forgot that feeling. This is American days. My alarm went off. I my body was just like no, this is not it. I bought it felt like I was crying for me, like what are you doing to yourself? But we have to have the same big smile on our face from the first game of the day to the last game of the day. For forty plus games that took place, it wasn't unreal weekend. I mean we're going to get into it the week weekly run down here in a second, but can we just talk for a second about how close the Games where. All of them. Oh my God, yeah, the amount of Ote's and shootouts we saw, it was just like nuts for the games games. Some of them like some of a blowouts. Sorry, they're not to tell you off. We're we're close like a time. So like you book at the box score, like I know I had some games that I called that were six two finals, five, three finals, but if you watched the entirety of the broadcast of the game, they were close for the majority of it. anythink what we're going to say for the EHL Premier Division. I think they had their ten games in the first two days. Six in the ten games went beyond regulation, either to overtime. We're shootout. Wow, I think that's a perfect transition. In the week they run down. It's time for the e cruise weekly run down. Each show weekly run down brought to you by the junior hockey podcast, your old the junior hockey use knowledge and nonsense. Check them out a tjj podcastcom. It's a perfect transition because we're going to start with the EHLP power akings this week because of what Anthony just said, like we were like I was so cut up in the first couple of days with us. How many schools were there? Like it was like overwhelming. And then you look up and you notice what Anthony just pointed out. Like here's the first set of games that took place right five, four, overtime, two, one, shootout for three overtime. One nothing. Three, two, shoot out, three, two overtime, like it was intends right from the get go of the EH LP. So let's flashback so everyone knows where where we were at going into the showcase. Going into the showcase, number one was the sevens, number two with the railers, number three with the lumberjacks, number four with a seahawks. Of course we had all the Games took place in the showcase and we had the railers shutting out the seahawks yesterday. Five nothing. Who is the number one team in the EH LP? Who? I mean? The railers are unblemished, still right live and know they just hosted on the five game bender. And look at the goals. Four goals against. That's always a big stat. We always like fourteen goals for three goals against in five games. So if we want to do quick math real quick, what's the starting goal to a schools against under one starting goaltenders to they've used a couple. They've used a couple right. Davy or lap Pierre is no, with a point seven one goes against average, the nine hundred and seventy four SAF percentage. Cam Wickens is no, but they point five six goals against average and hundred and seventy six SAF percentage. Like the numbers are out of this world. They haven't get up a goal in three games. They haven't scored a lot. Right, five less there was their highest goal total of the year because going into that it was three two two two. Write. So...

...three two two, one, two, nothing, two, nothing, five nothing. That, without a doubt, their number one right now. Interesting team. Very interesting team, though, for sure, but I feel like that's why I would give them more credit to kneels. They're getting it done by the perfect coaching formula, the perfect hockey formula. Right, don't give up a lot. You're not scoring a lot, but you're not giving up a lot. So yes, you win those tight games, especially early on when everything is tight and guys are trying to figure out, you know, chemistry, with lines and coaches testing out certain players see and how their stamina is. Who can you ride harder, who do you have to ride a little less? So I would give the railers more credit for this five and a start because they're doing it on in all three areas forwards, defense and goaltending. And I'm not sure if this is homework for you at the name, but I'm going to give you an assignment. I want to know what the railers record is like dating back to the end of last year, like going into the playoffs right, because I don't think. I think going into the postseason we thought that the Rangers are going to win that division go to the finals and then the railers the one that made the run. When all the way to the championship game against the eighty seven's. They're probably as hot as any team has been dating back to last March. So there's a small if you out, we can go at a homework assignment for you, Anthony. Number two. Well, the seven lost a couple times at the showcase. I think that they're this is where it gets tough because we're going to have this same issue at the ehl level. How high up in the ranking is going to team jump if they weren't in the rankings the week before? Anthony you're the eighty sevens man, I think we can give you the I'm not for here. I'm talking about the warriors, though. The warriors are five and one. Are they number two? Just who say they need to be talked about in this I remember I watched them. One of my like favorite games watching was the one that they had the last date of the first thing to play, and they were disgusting, to say at least, and that's like a compliment, like an absolute compliment. They were disgusting. Well, that's right, they were going to so good, good, yeah, breakfast, like watching them out the wind, when I was like this is just nuts, and I was like, granted, they were playing the renegade, who, I think, I think it was the night before they had played the ABS if Kly, so they could have been a little bit tired, but at the same time valley was just on top of it. It looked great, like they were just doing all the right things, and I'm like this is an exciting team to watch them, like for the pe like that's an exciting team to watch. Well, here's the thing too, like yes, you could say that it was against the running gads, but they also went up against Joey Jamison and gold. I sit it on the broadcast because I was on the call for that game. That like you have to work hard to score on Joey Jamison. You put them on any other team, he leads you to the championship. That's how good I think he is and I think the valley junior wars have some really good players. Mcaliser ward the goal of the showcase. That was that game, right, yes, yes, okay, yeah, that was the number one play. I think right, let we do that. It wor there were so many. They were actually too many top goals. So they're like picking up. Yeah, but we're all six beautiful. You Got macalcer Ward, you got luke denny, you got Noah Ludman. All three of them are exceptional offensive players. They can move the puck really well, they can dangle the park, they can shoot, they can score. So valley is a very good offensive team. I think, kind of the opposite of the railers junior hockey club, and I was going to make the comparison to the railers P team, to the wizards EHL team, where they might not be scoring a lot of goals but they're very strong in the back end ending goal where they can when those low scoring games. I like it. So I think that looked anyone of like the top players this week too. So that's YEP, that's hands something about the team as well. So September, start of a month. We'll definitely talk about the wizards when we go back to the HL, because I got the pleasure calling two out of their three games and they look good. So here's here's The p power things. Question is we we all agree the warriors are in a five and one. They're only loss was to the eighty sevens, but the e sevens lost three total games in the showcase, so I think that means valley has to be two. Do you agree? But the ASS wasn't a big one either. For the scores. They were great. Score to three. They sold behind. They all three. Nothing in that really came back. Exactly. They didn't. They didn't just sit down. What it happen? They came back and fought for it. So, like I wouldn't call that a huge loss. Yeah, it's a big team to lose to, but a four and twenty three like final is not a huge loss. Don't say we're a consensus vote. Then sounds like so railers one, warriors to who is three, formont number Jackson Five. Yeah, so I'm saying that same time they did. I will say, though, they didd go one, one in two at the showcase. So it wasn't...

...like they were the best team. They weren't the worst team by any means. They they lost to wall pole in overtime. That was probably we keep talking about crazy games. That was the first night and Wall Pole scored was Evan seconds left to tie the game and then wanted in overtime. That thats. Then they lost the little flyers in a shootout the next morning. Bounce back with a win against the chiefs and they got shut out, like everybody else does, by the railers. So also we gotta bring up to is the new seahawks, the brand new team. Yeah, they went too and one, maybe the seven five one, and then three, two of the little flyers, and that was that was what we had last week for three and four right, three with the lumberjacks for with the seahawks. Are we sticking with that? I'm okay if you stick with that. I don't I think there's teams that a team like the little flyers could could be receiving votes because they did have a very strong weekend. I think they won their first two games and the shootout like they were, like, Yep, like. I think almost every game went to overtime to like they they both the flyers seams look pretty solid. Like they yeah, there's like they lost it one or two games, but like as a whole, both teams are looking pretty good. Yeah. So listen, listen to the five games so far played by the little flyers P team. They lost on opening night. Anthony, you called this one at the eighty seven. So a wild seven to six game. They beat the Rangers one, nothing in the showcase. They beat the lumberjacks three, two and a shootout. They beat the wolves to one of the shoot out and they lost the seahawks three to talk about tight games every single time, I think. I think we go railers one, warriors to lumberjacks, three seahawks. For receiving votes, little flyers. Okay, the silence is the silence is confirming it. Silence is definitely in a good way. Of both those in favors say I I I think our executive producer behind the curtain has some disagreements. I'll just some means do chive in if you like to say something for votes. Not even a mention for the express going three and O, beating the sevens and lumberjacks. I did just take a look. They went over to the start. Yeah, for three, one, five, one wins. HMM. We we do need a point out. They did come back and beat those lumberjacks, right. So, so I would even then maybe say Walpole is in the top four. WHO SNEAKING IN? But the quacks were pretty good, true. At the same time too, they were at the mercy of having a morning game and then a night game. So like they kind of you could say they got a little bit screwed there. But here we go here. Now we're all going to come out. My throwes a showcase because it is their street episode of these Gay Hey, that's Laura, not me. I'm not sorry. I talked to a lot of people, as we can. Some people said that like that plays a factor in the way that teams play. If they have a night game in the morning game immediately the next day, like that is a huge like that can really like mess with them. The deaf point close. I'm not gonna discount that. Some teams had to go the other way. Well, when we talk about the HL, I'll talk about one game, but I thought it was a good like that and it didn't. Well, it's this is where it gets tough, but it gets fun right. Like you know, Wallpoole had a perfect three and all weekend. They probably need to go in at that point. It's a good point. By just the seahawks are foreign too, and they're all the losses are against the railers. Twice they've been shut out so far. I let's battrack. Let's go. Eighty seven warriors, express seahawks receiving votes. Little Flyers. I like that, and we could say lumberjacks to so now we're now we've given six teams a little bit of lot. All right, we're moving more places and then, terms you votes, that's perfect. Now get your sea Bluel, because the ehl is going to be a lot tougher. Yeah, Ace, I mentioned this probably I didn up do a twelve broadcast all the hl and I said this is going to be a lot of hard work for myself and the rest of you crew when it comes to these power rankings. All five teams did some interesting things this weekend. Hey, in Jefferson, at least you didn't have to stand in the penalty box for any games. I did it. Unfortunately I was on the Blue Rink the whole time you're on the great womber rink. The Great Rink is freezing. Well, at any and in contrast to that, I will say we love the Fidelity Bank was rice center. Don't want to be smirch anything. Well, my angle was you saw. It was kind of tough. I do not like being at that long you're at the other end of the ice. Then when it goes all the way the other end, and that that, I found out is made of Kevlar, so that's a little hard to see. There'll never get a puck to go through. Yeah. Well, well, that's something I'm used to because of Jersey shore arena, where they have the black netting. Sometimes it can be tough to see through. I did call the renegades junior warriors...

...game in the Blue Rink and it was a little hard for me to I was getting mixed up with Luke Denny and no Lutman because they're both lefthanded shots and one one player has the number forty six, the other player has a number forty eight. So just going by the Jersey numbers, it was tough to to tell who is who, but once they were playing on the the near side, closer to where our vantage point was, it was easier. Goscha so Ehl, I think what stands out to me about the showcase is that in years past, and this is coming from college coaches to the gap, if you will, between the top tier in the Middle Tier has been bigger than it was this year. Like I have never seen a showcase this competitive from start to finish and like I have no idea which some of these teams are. I Know Justin wants me to ask the question right, so I'll just segment. I'll just quickly say who are the lumberjacks? Who are the spark of the League? Who are the wolf? Who are the WHO are the warriors for the seahawks? Who are the Apple Corps? I it's literally everybody. Felt it's literally everything is. It's crazy and like, going back to what the rankings were before the showcase got started, we were we had rangers, one, seven S, two, wizards, three, railers for Maryland, five and the two points. They have to bring up. Up until yesterday's game when the seahawks beat the railers. I felt pretty good about why I wanted to go right and even though with the Seahawks, man the least the wizards were a perfect five. And now the wizards were the last team in this league to lose a game on Sunday and of course they lost it to the railers, who got them in the playoffs last year. They weren't able to get revenge there. So the question is, who? WHO's the number one team in the ehow? I don't want to answer this first because I don't really know. Also, take this. This is where I kind of brought it up in the EHLP side and it's going to sound weird because they were outside the top five, weren't even receiving votes, but I think it has to be the Wallpole Express. Yeah, they look pretty good. Josh Holpson likes what they have over there. I did get to do and actually, speaking of that perfect time deal, I did the express railers game and what a comeback that was. Wooster, Josh will tell you, was putting into him. They were up to not them for majority that game and then they scored three and answer goals. Worcester took a major penalty. With a couple of minutes left, Josh Grunt made a pay rip. The ristertop Elph was the thing of beauty and the excite. Thought that game was going to go to ot and I honestly wanted that to go overtime. That was one of the better games I have fun player to watch. Was the first game of sleep. bossure was like a solid in that. Yes, posher, it was very good, larn that's right. Yeah, that was the first game of the showcase. The first game of the showcase, like let's just started out, let's just jump right into it. And they were only one in one going into the showcase. Only it played two games. They played more games in the showcase than they had played the entire season leading up to it. Yeah, that means seahawks both came in a two games, so we really didn't know who we either team was. And after this wall pole starting to figure out a little bit. Seahawks, I don't know, like you said, when if it's rooms after the showcase they struggle the top. That was the Apple Corep game that I did that they lost six to two. Kobe walters at a hat trick and Lauren got to interview him after he was all jacked up and excited. Wallpole as an organization went a perfect six and ill in the showcase, ehl ehlp combined. Who Do they get a plaque for? That? They should, right. It's just it's just manner, clean sweet. It's just gonna look weird when our number one ranked team in the league and we're going with it. I'm going to say I think they have to, because they went a perfect three and I'll only team to do that. Let's Go red trade who they they are in fourth place and their division, as we said here, you deal. It's nice. It's so weird. I mean they've played, they've played the fewest number of games, right. So when the game count, when the game count, even to self out, of course so it will. It will make it. It will make more sense. But at this point they lost the opener one nothing to seahawks. They won four straight. Sense, they're the number one ranked team. They have to be. They were the only team to win three games at the showcase, the h level and again, like we talked about with the railers P team, they're doing it the same way to they have twelve goals scored and seven goals again. So they're not put a whole heck of a lot of parks in the net, but they're not seeing a lot go past them either. So tough way to way, but they're getting done. Honestly, Neil, I think you could just put the entire east division in the power ranking. I would not disagree with that because I mentioned it in the recap. This division is stacked. You have the East Coast Wizards right now they're five and one. You got the wall pole express. They're moving off with the the form one record. They had...

...a perfect showcase. Any of the valley junior warriors didn't have the best showcase, but they're still very good team. I still think they're for real. And they got the Boston Engineer Rangers where they have that op, that overpowered goalie tandem in Christ action, Theythan you were so it's a gauntlet in there. There's so many good teams in that division and it's tough to kind of parse them apart, and that's it's a good point, because the rangers were one and the wizards were three and all right, we got wallpole locked in at number one, the new number one team. The question is where, where do we go next with number two. Write the Rangers two losses are against the railers, which was outside of the showcase, and against the little flowers, which was in the showcase. The wizards only loss is against the railers also. So do you put more stock in that extra loss at the that the rangers have against the little fires, which is one less game technically played, then the wizards the railers? I think there's one team that we haven't mentioned yet which I think some people might some people might think their record wouldn't be worth mentioning, but team Maryland was pretty hot going into it. They only had one loss and it was against the eighty sevens, which has been one of the top teams, and they only lost by one goal. And they ended up losing to the SEAHAWKS, which we have seen are kind of making a name for themselves, and they only both those games. They only lost. They want it's another one those ones where, like their losses aren't huge, they're only losing by one goal in both of those games. So I think they need to be talked about for sure, like I don't left out of this, and the wizards. The wizards too are, like as we just mentioned, are looking solid. They were totally undefeated coming into this. They only lost to they lost to wooster and worsters making name for themselves too. So it's I think the wizards in the Maryland definitely need to be contenders for the top five. This is Anthony's transitive property. It is because the Aga, the seahawks beat Marwin seahawks loss of the apple core right. That's so I'm saying. It's a beat. They beat the railers, but the railers beat the rangers and the wizards and the game that that's the thing. The seahawks gem against the apple cored. They did not look for you. Good. Now they did have griffin are in that he was his first start. You end up getting pulled for Nathaniel Hawkins, who seems to be taken over as the starter from from here on out. We'll see no cocy in a bony likes him a lot. But yeah, the Apple Corps were the apple cored are going to score a lot of goals this year and, as we saw, Calin count and Colbe Walters. So they made the seahawks look bad, but they made the Rangers look interesting to it. But I was a five three win for the Rangers, Apple core had them on their keels for a while too. So when you look at the wizards, like if you look at their like their record so far this season, they're not letting an autigals. Their goal selling is solid. Their defense is helping them out to like that's literally every guys to their record so far in what four, five or six games is three and two win, three and one win, three and one win, two and one win, three and to win and to want loss like that. goaltending is solid, like rock solid, and I got to see like two of their goals play this weekend because they had alto and for a couple games, but then they also had I believe it was either who's you look over or since they had that in that loss, and like these are played all three, that's not a big loss. They're only like they don't let a lot of goals in, so that it's definitely like a team to look at because like, for sure your goaltending, his dad slid. You shouldn't have much story about. Yeah, I agree with the wizards, but, Lauren, I also want to go back with team Marilyn. I think my only reservation is when you look at the teams that they did beat. They played the Connecticut chiefs and then the seak coat spartans, so I think have to take the strength of schedule to account. Their one loss came against the SEAHAWKS and while they're in last place, they're playing in the Thunderdome that is known as the East Division, the Thunderdome the Connecticut chiefs. And now the team, though. Who are they? They won five, four of a valley. The last game we had is the chip. They won overtime. You saw the wheer. They're from to Dad Suky effecting me either that because they lost some tough games. They got shut out a couple of times and I was like, okay, looks like bally might walk all over them, and then Nope, yeah, Valley's been pretty hot. And then when talking to the chiefs at the end of that game, they're like you gotta Talk to divine. He's The dustiest player on the team. So good a, sure you good? I was? Oh yeah, I was on I was on the bus watching that shootout and when I saw him pull the debt Sukie Deek, I just shouted you. It was it was so unexpected, it was gross. It was silky it was...

...so mischievous of him to pull off at such an unexpected I'm and I mean that, that that alone should should earn props that that was a terrific shootout goal. Ye was. Honestly, when you can come off the turn like the showcase saying you'd be a team like that, that's probably going a light of fire under them. So they may be someone we need to pay attention to coming up. Yeah, good. So we go back, though. We go back that we have walpole one. Who is number two? It's gotta be the wizards, okay, I think. Okay, we all say wizards. WHO's number three? I think it kind of Rangers slip that long intention. How far to the Rangers Fall? They want two of their thebree games. We're going to talk about these seven's old. Yes, to talk about like the strength of the schedule for the Maryland, but like at the same time too, like these are, quote unquote, like easy teams, some people might say, but like they still did well. And some of these like teams that some people are kind of discounting. They've come back and beat some of the top teams in the showcase. So there nobody to shake a stick at so you can like, you could try to say, oh, they had kind of an easier schedule, but the same time, if you watch the showcase, anything could happen and these like teams that are kind of lower in those standings, they can come back to be one of the first place teams. So I wouldn't discount Lauren Watts Marilyn at three. Yeah, she's like pushing for a heart. Push, Push, push, anthony shaking his head, and I think they looked pretty solid. Amthony, who do you want it three? I would out keep them. USTON junior rangers at three, either them or maybe valley. All right, so one vote for the Rangers, one vote for Maryland. Jeff me or you then me. If we have to go to a Tiber here, we will. Okay, that's that's what I'm having a tough time going back and forth right now is. I did I do all the Rangers Games? Let's see, Valley. No, I did two out of the three. So I did a win and a loss. Didn't do the one winning. Its warriors. I don't know if they played. They did not play poor enough to drop them from one to four. I don't think so. I'M gonna GO Rangers Three. Well, the vote has been submitted by Justin and our chat. So even if I say Maryland, if even if I say Maryland, it looks like we're going rangers three. But but that's good fly lard. So that gives us express one wizards to rangers three. Sure, east division, Maryland for move over, North Division. Here comes the east. In Two thousand and twenty one, there's a new division. Seriously, though, so Maryland for and then five. Everyone pick. Here we go like it could be the absolutely, because it could be the lumberjacks, it could be it could be the railers, it could be the ducks, eighty sevens. I WHO's number five? Like I have no idea. If I had, if I had to to you know of episode over, episode over. It's so tough, it's so deadly. It changes week to week. We mentioned maybe not the toughest schedule for Maryland beating a team like seacoast, but sea coast swept the lumberjacks to a two weeks ago right like it's it's so hard to figure out who is who early on in this year. I think that any team we put into this fifth spot we really can't go wrong. I would say for this week, I'm going to say railers. Okay, I'm well, I'm with rails. I can get behind that, but I think at the very least ducks need to receive some boats there. Yeah, I think there's Yin I would. I think they're starting to make a name for themselves. They don't care. Their wins are pretty solid and their losses aren't terrible. They could be better, which is saying something, but their wines are pretty good in their losses are in that that so I think they at least need to receive some votes, for sure. Okay, receiving most name Spencer Quinn play of the month. Did we so? Yes, that's so. Receiving votes ducks and six others. Is that? We're going to say docks in the rest of the League. You're all right there. Well, we'll say receiving votes ducks and man, this is like you could say any seven the province. The proted ducks only played two games. One was against it, one was against the New England wolves and the other one was, hang on, I have the schedule right here, and the other one was a five two lost to wall pole. So I still think the protect junior ducks need to. And just for the record, I'm not going to say the eighty sevens deserve to receive votes either, because I know that they lost to the New England wolves right say. They need to prove themselves to get back into the power rankings or to receive votes. But the protect junior ducks and no, I'm sorry, Lauren, I disagree with you. I don't think that...

...they're wins were too impressive just yet and think they have and they just hastily. It's we are we are arguing over who is receiving votes right now. That's the HASHTAG. Our way battle. You tell the eighty sevens and protect of a little bit of animosity between the two. It organized so so jeff it comes out to us again, or the protect docks. This is where arguing for number six right now. Are they receiving votes? I say yes, I watch, but I did push me in the spot. I did there, I did there eat three, I did their e three victory and they did look pretty damn good for the first time. That was actually the first time I'd ever seen the protect you your ducks live right crazy. Got To go see them. That's how weird was to all wee can long kept saying this. The first time that PROTEC is playing the wing of wolves is the first time that the rangers are playing the Albacore in two years. Like yeah, we think this is hard. Talk about being a coach when I mean some of these coaches of all state and the League. You know I mean Michael Zazarus do with the apple cores. So like years ago, those teams are still coach by the same people. So systems are somewhat similar but players are different. So yeah, that's that. I think that's why I was so tight. All these teams had no clue what the heck the other side was going to do. I will say that they are also receiving votes, just to protect ourselves a little bit. When a week from now, more craziness has happened and we need we need to move teams out and move teams it. Okay, I'm pro schedule. This week they're going to play team earland twice and then the eighty seventh Wednesday. So I guess we'll see what they are after the end of this week. Right. Yes, so I knew that the powering is would dominate the week to run down this week, but they should have right just take a whole episode. We already in an hour, so with that will get you. If you want me to find my voice, I found it. I was I was fighting for some of these teams. It's time I was paying attention to those games. I wasn't just wandering around, I was paying attention. The best part about it was that, I guess said earlier in this podcast, and maybe this change is over the course of the year, when we went into every game this weekend you could have said you could have made a case for either side to win. And the game swung that quickly. We saw it. I mean, just to recap a few more games, we saw seacas go up three nothing on the little flyers and then lose five three. We saw the apple core leading against the warriors and then they lose in the second half of that game. These games swung so quickly and the gaps from where the top is in the middle is and so on. It it don't exist, that there is there is no top right now. There really isn't. The top consists of giant metal. I'm really that the top middle is combined together with, like you know, thirteen or so teams, with a few teams kind of struggling behind them. But I just to touch on a few of those teams just to make it a point. Like you could say the wolves are a team that's like struggling. That's not a team I want to face in the playoffs right now, when when they have richer's up front like he is as dynamic a forward in this league. And we I saw that chiefs play. You guys talked about the chiefs warriors game. The chiefs have four losses, right, but their goal differentials only five. So it's like one another. One of those teams that has lost so many close games that I bounced here are there and then maybe they're above five hund so again, as Jeff pointed out, there are teams that have some gauntlet schedules this week, so one week from now will clear out all five and do it all over again. Somehow things a little easier for us. Play some more games, play some tougher opponents. Everyone's getting a little more comfortable into the season, and I mean that's something I saw a lot to this week. Was In my games. was a decent amount of penalties, which you'd expect. We said a lot of these guys are familiar with the systems of the two. I A lot of these guys were really jacked up to see the twenty plus scouts at a time they were watching each game. So yeah, well, I think the Games will start to clean themselves up. Teams will really start to figure things out as we keep going. And we got more games, a lot less. Seems like a lot of teams were playing like three or four games this week. Two, you know, which is just great, which is awesome, and it's a big reason why a lot of us went in different directions with our fantasy picks. So let's get to the e grew fantasy challenge. It's time for the e grew fantasy challenge. The group Fantasy Chalcter is presented by biosteel and the sport string of PHL. Use the Promo Codey show. That's es how for twenty five percent off when you check out at biostealcom. So I think we all had productive weeks at the show. Nice to see you all. From the top. Oh my God, Oh my God, you're play there. Your literally so I had to throw it back. True, I if there was a number in front of the decimal. Now you were ahead of me because you're ahead of me by point six. I would be more rattled, but it's only point six and these standing the same...

...argument from last week. You're only, like, let like, what, less than two points ahead? So through tree, Margaret. True, fair. We all had productive weeks, though, and just to recap the overall totals that were at, Lauren is at seventy point two, I am at sixty nine point six, anthony is at fifty five point four and Jeff is at fifty. So, Jeff, you it's the s are good. I'm here. Well, you started to try to catch up a little bit in order of what what we finished last week. Lauren had the best week, which is why helped her jump in the first, then myself, then Jeff, then Anthony. So to recap Anthony's points and then get his picks. I didn't mind your selections of Jerry Duckett and Tyler pennry. They just decided they didn't want to get your points during the showcase this week. So that means that was a very anthony. Everyone else and Vermont put a buckets of points and I was feeling for you, Buddy, when Henry, we just had Schmidt, went off making us all over great not picking him every going on this every goal. was like no, no, no, Oh, yeah, I talked to you about that. I was like, were you just trying to give us all hard time for not picking you? And he goes, see, I feel bad, I didn't do anything last week. Yeah, there for that response. I was funny. So Ge Luis Joseph Girl on to was kind of quiet. At least league points. So Bryan brow got anthony a goal to assist in the power play point and then Jeff kind of touched on this earlier. He only got one start out of at all to which was a win, with six point eight fantasy points. But what's interesting about the wizards and something to watch, even at five and one, they've had six games and three goalie start two games apiece. So it's tough, right, because you got we've seen although pick twice. He's gotten wins, but it's up because you know he may only get one star because there he wasn't every guy. So Anthony Overall brought in fourteen point eight points last week and he got to pick first this week. Who did you go with this week? Anthony? Okay, so here are my fantasy picks, I think. To start things off, I'm going to go with two newcomers. Starting off at forward, Maryland dated newcomer for team Maryland, Farrell Din and he went off in the showcase total for four goals, three assists for seven points in the three games and he picked up the hat trick against the seahawks Hockey Club. They lost that game, but it looks really impressive offensively. I want to see what he's got for the divisional games coming up next. For Defense, I'm going with Ryan Davies, another newcomer. Has Played Three Games on the showcase and he picked up a goal and two assists. So I think he's another player that will really help out with Ryan mcgrats squad. And for for goal, I have to go with the returner Nathan Mueler, to and over Record D and twenty three safercentage in his first two games and I think that number is only going to go up as he gets to play more games. For the utility pick, this one's a little this one could be considered a reach, but I have a reason for it. I'm going to go with every Schneider and in his first seven games he has only four points, two goals to assist, but as someone who's watched their game. This is a player who was fast. This is a player who is generating scoring chances by the bucket loads. He's getting a lot of chances. He's using his speed in the transition and ink to some college coaches and they were talking about him, talking about pots who they want to see for the college showcase, and one of the coaches said, Oh, you know, I hope he allows to write in option because I'm going to write in ever Schneider and for him. I think he's going to break out. I think the points are going to come and I'm hedging my bet that it's happening this week and that's why he's my utility pick. I was gonna ask you about that anything, because he is a depth guy and I was interested when I saw that, but I knew that you would tell us why you did and well and caught. We told every team to submit nominations for the All Star team against the college programs and the eighty seven didn't put him in the initial nominations, but that college coach did say that same thing to me. The Anthony just brought up that maybe he should be the guy. And then another thing to watch and I know this is the second time that Mueler has been selected this year. He's only played. This is only a second year. It feels like he's been with the Rangers for a while. He's already at twenty three career wins. I don't know if he has it. There's enough and the pair of doesn't help. I don't know if there's a way that he could catch Brendan Brown. He's fifty one but thirteen wins away from from cracking his way into the top ten. Maybe it's too early in the year to start a little bit of a milestone tracker, but I think he's that type of guy that, especially when it comes to fantasy, you just lock him in and if the team has multiple games, you know that he's going...

...to win at least one for the Rangers. So those are Anthony's picks. To recap the week that Jeff had, he had Cole Scott. I have not confirmed or denied. I don't I don't know where where Cold Scott was the second two days Jeff. He may have been injured. Was As yeah, he got an assist. Tyler Anas saucy got you a goal. To assist in the power play point John Warber got you a victory by way of a Shutout, and he lost the game as well. So we still got you ten points, and then Matt pimental got you three points to give you nineteen overall. That's correct. And actually comental one out late with that injury to so I actually lost him for a chunk of time, but still happy to get some points up there, even with some injuries and absences. So yeah, the week, new team. Let's go. All right, let's hurt it. So murderers row ready for this thing. I mean I'd be pretty dumb if I didn't pick our player of the month, since he didn't get picked by Auntie in front of me. So, Spencer Quinn, come on, damn protecting your ducks. Sorry at the I know they played then s next Wednesday, but going to need a Haddie from Spencer at least, maybe more in the game. We will see. And I know someone else picked Jeremy Conner. I think those Neil. So sorry, but we're going to need the Spencer Quinn show to have a couple episodes this week. But Quinn, fourteen points in six games, eight goals, six assists for power play goals, one power play assist and a game winners. That good, correct answer is only yes, so let's see. And then Victor Mels Z on. Believe this or not, because the Rangers second leading points getter. PICKTOR mells on, a defenceman, is the second leading points Gud. I know that. Right now Jake Murphy is the leading points getter with eight points and then mills on right behind him with seven points, two goals, five assists and he looked pretty sturdy. I had the call of two of their three games and I like what I see from him, so we'll go with them. On the back end and goal another I was Toya between Connor and Jackson Bernard. I want with Jackson Bernard because this kid is just an absolute machine. I know he's only three and three on the season, don't look at his goals against the three hundred and forty one. The Apple Corp play a very running gun style, similar kind of like the lumberjacks did last year, where they like to put up a lot of goals and they know Bernard's going to see a lot of shots and he's going to make a lot of save. So they like to win those big, high scoring affairs. But take a look at his saper Centag right now, hundred and forty. So He's saving almost ninety five percent of the pucks that are coming his way and we get a lot of points for save. So gotta go with Jackson Barnards this week. Hopefully he gets me makes to a game and then I'll be right, hopefully up in the Lauren Smith territory. And then last would certainly not least, Mr Colin Callenan, who had his four goals, eight assists, twelve points, two goals on the power play, one power play assist. Gamers yet, but you did have the Hattie over the weekend. He had a big weekend. He had three goals against valley and assist against the SEAHAWKS and assist against the Rangers. So expect the big things. And onto the next victim of the that was me. I finished second last week thanks to Kyle Patten, had a goal, three assists and a shorthanded point, James Metler with two assists. Both were on the power play. Stefan Cool Hannick picked up the first bonus point of the year. Crew just making this knowledge, but this out there. I got the first bonus point of the year. As he won. I game against my wizards, as Lauren likes to say, which is on Sunday. Your team, come on. Well, I didn't war of the Jersey this week, first time in three weeks, and will rosen, who was great going into the showcase, but clearly I picked the wrong Maryland forward. Should have picked Farrell instead, but I still have my pis for this week. One player that really stood out, and you've heard his name mentioned a few times so far on this podcast, was Josh Grunt. In each of the first two showcase games he had a goal and an assist. The first game, both of this points when the power play, including one game winner. Jeff pointed that out. The second game he had a power play assists included in his totals. The third game they only beat seacoast one nothing in a shootout, so no stats came from that game, but he had the shootout winner. So I'm going to lead on Grun this week. I was told by a few college coaches that he looked at the best player at the entire showcase, which is which is some pretty high praise. On defense. Awesome on defense. Anthony has picked him once, so I'm hoping that I get better results than Anthony, that I guess you could say, and that's Dominic metstro on the point for the valley junior warriors. They have a busy schedule as welcoming up this week. And,...

Jeff, if you didn't pick Jackson Bernard, I would have. So I got Jeremy Conner instead. Said, and I think it's funny, right, because the and talking with Adam Joe at the showcase, he's mentioning how the team is in kind of a tough spot right now and it's like, okay, yes, you have an overall record of four two and one, but your losses are two to one to the docks, two to one to the wizards, two to one in overtime to the world, like like these again's air bounce here are there and they're not lost. As their wins. And right, Jeremy Connor's got a seven five goes against avage and thirty eight. Say Person It's like he's been excellent. This is of the figure it out. Don't forget the score. Yeah, this is this is the first year, I think, with the seven s where goaltending has not been a weak point but rather their strongest point. And pointed that there there is one thing I do want to bring up was another thing that Adam wholly said. That something not just for the sns brauls, to something that he's noticed around the league. There are a lot of players who can play a really good two hundred foot game, not a lot of finishers, and I think that's a big reason why we're seeing a lot of teams that are winning games even though they're not putting up goals by the bunches. Yeah, that's totally fair. That's a really good point to it. Then he copack was very solid last couple of years and stuff, but with the Jack Lanez a tim two boards, I mean they put a lot of pucks in the net and so they're just having a little bit of a switch. But you know, coach Holie, coach cannon there very smart men have been the game of hockey for a long time. I think they'll figure it out down in New Jersey, for sure. For scoring, and my utility is the captain of the Seahawks, Austin pick. Speaking of scoring, the seahawks kind of I like this every year with a kind of grind out goals. But I'm hoping that for for pick, the four games that they have scheduled, not an easy schedule. Warriors, wolves, avalanche, Rangers. I'm hoping he is the guy that sets the pace offensively for his team so I can make up my point, six point deficit and take over the League again. Brown, Oh, Lauren. So let's talk about how you got into the lead. As Jeff kind of mentioned earlier, Louis Joseph going on, got you a goal and an assist for five points. Thomas Dempsey a power play assist for three points. Nathan Mueler, probably a big reason why Anthony's picking him this week, picked up two victories and got you thirteen point, six points. Yes, and Nick Raziana, who's just having a tremendous season for a team Marilyn, had a two goals, including one power play, and one of them was a game winner. So he got you eight points. So Up big twenty, nine points. Six swing for you has you in first place. And who do you got this week? I'm bringing back a couple familiar pieces in terms of people. I picked our people like leave all picks, and I'm bringing back Brett Hanley from the warriors for my forward. I had him before. He's been a bit quiet as of late, but I think with the next three games they have coming up in the SEAHAWKS and spartans in the Rangers, I think it'll be fun to see him kind of get back out there. I'm looking to see him do some good things again and get back on the score sheet. And on Defense, I'm taking Ryan Brown ducks. I think Anthony had him like this past week, so I'm hoping he can put up some points for me, especially since we're just talking about the ducks in the power rankings for quite a while. And then Jack Floshart from Walpole. I got to interview him after the game and he's looking solid in net. So I'm hoping that continue and use it I open they can stay on top with him in there and get me some solid points from him. And then for my utility, I chose Kobe watchers. That's another guy got to talk to at the certain case and he was looking super solid and I know a bunch of the coaches were pulling him after the game the kind of talk to him, trying to swim them over their school. So clearly he's one to watch for sure. And I just want to point out with boss sure he was the goal they net minder in net for all three games, that Wallpole one so touched on it earlier. They were the only team to win all three of their games of the showcase. I sure was using that for all of them. So maybe we're all done and we let that goalie go to the area end. So we'll see. I could be my big Cooley better. There's a platform pick from. So that will get us down to the what to watch for, a segment which we're going to highlight some games to watch this weekend before we wrap things up. Here's what to watch more this week in the east. Show what the watch for is presented by hockey TV, the official streaming platform for your ehl and ehlpashing through the two thousand and twenty one, two thousand and twenty two season. There are so many games said that take place at both levels that we could all, you know, all four of US could pick different games and I even come close to each...

...other. So I'M gonna start with Friday, which is tomorrow, October eighth. Up at the EIST end, Tyler Arago has the call for avalanche home against the Express. I know the avalanche have been kind of even kind of Choiet right they like they I say that, but they won both games that they had to play at the showcase, right. They beat the chiefs, they beat the rough riders and they're still at the top of the Vision Right, and Wall Paul's the new number one. How does WALPOLE RESPOND TO BEING NUMBER ONE? And I think that that's their first game of the week. That's a huge task for them right, right, right after this. Somebody else want to go? I think the words have great like in general. Their next three games are like going to be some fun ones to watch, because we just put them like pretty decent in the power rankings. And their next three games is the SEAHAWKS. Can Talk To. Are like somehow mayking a name for themselves and like make this kind of rething a lot of things. And then they have the game right like day after that against the SPARTANS. Both those their next three games are all at home, but I think spartans have been not nobody to discount either, so that's going to be interesting. And then they cap it off with the Rangers. So I think that's three pretty tough teams to kind of take on, but I'm I'm I'm hold not hope for them. I think I think they've looked pretty good, I think. I think rhymcgraff knows what he's doing over there and he's got a solid group, both like his each Al Team, and then the P teas look pretty good too, so I'm sure they'll do pretty well. But I think very jelt definitely has some tough games ahead, but I'm I'm looking to see them do well. I think they'll. I think they'll be okay. That's actually gonna be one of my first filling games for the weak for the year. And you know, Friday Valley Versus Sea coast, so I'll be there on the call for that and looking forward to it. Was that was that your game, to watch your game, but honestly, I want to see what we're just talking about. Earlier protect versus team Maryland. Let's see if protech. We talked about both teams a lot, having some good weekends and some in top five. So I'm not in top five. Very heavily talked about both side. So let's smash heads. Let's see who's the best of the best time. So protect, let's go. Let's see it. Worry, you took yeah, you took the words right out of my mouth, Jefferson. That should be a great divisional matchup. And Yeah, well, we'll get to see if team Maryland or PROTEC or for Real, Z he's this year or and yeah, we'll get a real good idea of what these seems are made up. But I anticipate but terrific and I think it's a backtoback. They play today and they play again tomorrow. So again that should be a real fun backtoback to watch. So that's your games to watch as while Anthony. Yes, okay, so there's twenty one total games in the EH shell between now in the next podcast. It's kind of interesting how the schedule, as I was telling Lauren when we brought her in beginning of the get the schedule every week is so so weird. It's different. And then we have all these games sitting up to next Wednesday. There is a game next Thursday, the fourteen, which is the next release date for the podcast. But then after that every team's next game is part of the next showcase. I know there's a weekend in between, but it really does feel like we're going back to back week as with backtoback showcases. Trigger bottle steal, gang drebo steal. Hey, I got it right again. This last one. I think I was jokingly referred to by someone as Doctor SEU's for saying red train of blue train so much during the showcases. But they're I think. I think they're looking pretty good. So I think those are some teams to watch as well. So were you saying that because the first showcase was hosted by the Blue Train and the second showcase closed by the red train, you could hold you could be the host in the showcase and end up being really terrible. So it just kind of happened that they end up being pretty good. So we'll see if wall pole hold up to that when the host. Yes, well, and I'm going to say this again on next we's podcast, but for those that are listening closely now and they're planning to come to that wall pole showcase and are planning to come in particular on that Sunday the seventeen, the Patriots play that day also, you will need to remember that it's tough to get to Robin Arena when the Patriots play. But I'll say it again next week. What Ad Justin to say, yes, I have that. You know I have a new decoration behind me and no one noticed it till now. Did you see it now over my shoulder? That's the beautiful that's the jail for got to hang out with. It's great. It was taken away from one Bjr, one rich diccaprio and yes, well, that's funny because I asked the coaches multiple times to bring the trophies and I only had to ask two guys. I had to ask rich to bring the EH l championship trophy and the EH LP regular season Musher. Why you still have that one? The avalence actually won that last year and I...

...asked. I asked Adam Hoollie to bring the EHL regular season championship and the EH LP champion playoff champions of trophy. But I got two of the four behind me. So I need to put some new walk to the hotel and they're like, Oh, you want a trophy. I'm like, God, did if my name? My name is on it already, so I got to put the new names on it. That's why I put them back. But that will do it for this this week's podcast. Obviously a lot of big games coming up at both levels and, as you mentioned a few times, one week from now will probably be resetting the power an things completely again, and both the EHL and the EHLP. So enjoy the games this week. Of Guys, that's goods everyone there. Thanks for listening to the e show.
