On this week's episode of kick things off with an interview featuring Alec Theda from Next College Student Athlete, as we discussed the new partnership that will benefit all of the coaches in the league, plus both current and future players. We take our weekly trip around the east show and talk about the first ever Thanksgiving showdown and, of course, we wrap things up with the e crew fantasy challenge, which now has a tie at the very top of the standings. I'm enjoyed now by Alec Theda. They senior ice hockey recruiting coach for NCSA. How's it going? Alec, it's going well. The ol thanks for having thanks for coming on. Of course, we're announcing our NCSA partnership with this interview. And for the folks at home, what is and CSA? And CSA, next college student athlete is the largest recruiting service, online recruiting service offered for student athletes looking to gain exposure, gain opportunities, help with the recruiting process for multiple different sports, not just with ice hockey. And how did you personally get involved with the organization? Yeah, so I I came from coaching division three NCABA hockey and I wanted to come home to the the Midwest where I originally grew up, and NCSA. It was a job offering opening up in online actually, and I applied for it. I have some very good credentials and a good background with, you know, playing junior hockey and playing youth hockey in the Detroit, Michigan area, playing collegiately over in Vermont and then I got the chance to coach afterwards. So I went through the interview process and it was just a great fit because the the opportunities that I had when I was growing up and going through the recruiting process myself, I just wasn't familiar with everything that's out there and now, with so many opportunities for student athletes, I wanted to get back and help them to have a net navigate the student athlete recruiting process and I really enjoy it. And that's something that I actually notice on your profile. You wrote right and beating of your profile on the NCSA website, you you thought that you had the Division One talent, that you just didn't know enough about the process. What things that you know now do you wish you knew then about the process that may have changed your path? Yeah, great questions. So when I was growing up, we didn't have these online recruiting services, we didn't have advisors that a lot of student athletes have now. I personally wish that. It's simple putting more effort, emphasis on the craft, and craft in itself was my skill set. The work that it takes to be a division one hockey player. I just did not know that. So I needed somebody to give me a little bit more of a push, and that's what I try to help student athletes that I speak with on a daily basis. That extra push that, you know, the emails and phone conversations are all well and good, but they're there to watch you play, get to know you as a potential student at for their program and how you make fit in. And I was right there at the tipping point. However, I just did not take advantage of the opportunities, and when I mean opportunities, the playing time and the tournaments and showcases that I attended and I'm going to say didn't take it seriously. But I could have done more with my play and that's a huge factor. Two. But I you know, the role that I could play for student athletes. It's it's not just, you know, helping them figure out a team that's going to be best for them. It's about navigating the whole process. You know, it's educating them on, you know, what tier three junior hockey is in the eastern hockey league like that is something that tier three hockey was not even predominant when I was going through it and now it's a huge driver for NCAA commitments. So a lot of families they see all of the the higher level opportunities that may not be as realistic as they think. So we have to have backup plans and, you know, being a recruiting coach, that's what I stride myself on and and I bring that up because, of course, growing up, every kids dreams are division one on NHL in the driveway, game seven, you name, and everyone feels like that's where they're going to be. But when I'm on the road I like to point out to everyone that I come in contact with there's actually more division two and divine...

...division three schools than there are division one school so you actually have more of an opportunity to play division two or division three college hockey, which for yourself, you and did so at Norwich University, a school that you also coached at that you could make the case they could probably give a number of DNE schools a game nowadays. How was it? How is your experience at norhis both as a player in as a coach? It was a fantastic experience in so many different ways, you know, going through the grind of junior and having the Division One opportunity and in the goal of Playing Division One hockey there. That was that was what I was striving for, you know. But I didn't know much about Norwich University as a school or as a hockey program. You do a little research and you see they made the national championship and the frozen fours and all the success that they had. I was excited coach McShane and coach to Matts and they recruited me when I was playing up in Ontario and then in the Ojhl and I got the chance to play in North American League my third and final year and I got the chance to go to Norwich as a twenty one year old freshman. So I turned twenty one when I started in the fall of two thousand and eleven and I played right away. You know, I was the rookie starting Defenseman, had the most points as a d on the team and really started to make a name for myself, not just that Norwich but also in division three hockey, which kind of led the the the next three years as a player, then becoming an all American defenseman my senior year, senior captain. So you know, the confidence that I was able to have while playing at Norwich I truly believe stem from playing in the right fit program. You know, as I mentioned, maybe a Division One player but might not have played. How much of an experience with that event, you know, for all kids that want to try to strive for that, versus playing at a division three perennial powerhouse who can compete with division one programs and playing and and then having your name remembered on the wall as a player and now as a as a picture with the national championship in two thousand and seventeen as a coach. So all great experiences there in Norwich. And I bring it up because we had a kind of similar situation one of my first years in this league. I was the two thousand and fifteen sixteen season. There was a player named Todd Jackson who spend three years in our league and went to Norwich and scored the game winning goal as a freshman in the national championship game. Now, could he have played on a Division One team? He most likely could have, but not had that same ice time, that same experience that he's gotten from Norwich. In your conversations with players, how do you go about the ice time conversation, finding that right fit, understanding that maybe it's not your lifelong dream to play division two or division three ice hockey, but this is the right fit for you because of what you'll get from the athletics side of thing, but also the academic side of things spot on. So it's also not just navigating the hockey part of it but also the academics in the right fit the majors, the school size, the location. And I got to admit Norwich was not the ideal location for me. I mean in the middle of Northfield Vermont with a Student Body around twenty five hundred students. So it's you know, it's a smaller atmosphere. So not everybody wants that and I will admit, a lot of division three schools have that smaller, tight fit campus. Besides, you know a few that might have five, six, seven, Eightzero student athlete are students on the campus. But when talking to potential student athletes you have to really get their side of things and what their expectations are and see if you or your program or you know your thought as them as potential student athlete for your team fits. You know a lot of kids they you know, we here and when I was at Norwich we had a lot of recruits that could have played division one. You know that really could have. However, we we like to kind of attack the playing opportunity, the experience, the rink on campus. So picking a lot of the pros of your program is very important when trying to, I'm it's going to use the word, sell your program potential student athletes because they have to realize what's out there, the competitiveness, the opportunity to compete for a championship, whether it's in your league or nationally. How many all Americans you've produced as a as a program potential Ahl you mentioned the NHL. There have been an ike was able to play and coach a player, William Pellettier, who went on to play immediately the game after the national championship in two thousand and seventeen with the Rockford ICEHAG center the AHL. So from division three to the AHL, you put you perfect your craft and you put the time and effort into it, it could be a very will possibility. So a lot of those selling points, but you really have to understand and get on the same wavelength as that student athlete who was interested in the program and be real, be honest with them, be upfront, because you do don't let them down. And I think that it's great that you touched on where in Norwich is located because in some sense of this...

...kind of the middle of nowhere, right. But when you look back on on your career as a coach or as a player from Michigan, you spend time in Texas, you spend some junior time in Alaska. You said you're in Canada, then you end up in Vermont. When you're talking with, you know, players that are looking at juniors and then junior players are looking at college, how much of the conversation do you spend on the willingness to be able to relocate and understand that you may have to go away from home to learn more about yourself as who you are as an individual? Hundred percent? So I use this terminology. Hockey's a grind. It is. It is a grind and so many ways. But I'll kind of go back to my personal experience. I'll tell you what neal. I learned a heck of a lot by playing junior hockey and you know, and having a year in Michigan and staying, being a little bit closer to home, and then going up to Ontario and playing by yourself as the only American player on a Canadian team like now. It's a tough adjustment. However, you know you have to go through the experience and make the most of it. So I realized that I was going to play in Canada and it was a new surrounding area for me. So I took that opportunity and made the most of it. And then, ironically, coming back in the United States and playing junior hockey and Texas. I mean at that time not too many ice ranks, not too many teams were in Texas. Those, you know, Christmas time at seventy five degrees. I didn't mind that at all. But then going through an unfortunately having the trade when I was traded to a team in Alaska, and then the climate change and, you know, going through that process as a twenty year old and understanding that, hey, this team doesn't want you that much, but this team does Kadia handle that. So I learned a heck of a lot, not just through the location, but dealing with all the INS and outs of juniors, that being set for games, preparing for practices and all type of stuff, which helped lead me into going to Norwich and really making the most of that opportunity. And at that time it would felt like nothing another great experience and going to meet more friends and see where this hockey process takes me next and you work your way through your playing days and then you become a coach. At what point along this journey did you say to yourself? You know, maybe it's when you found out about this NCSA job, but what point along the journey did you say to yourself, I want to be able to share my story, in my experience and future players so that they can learn things that I didn't know at this step in the process. Yeah, so it really happened after I came back to the Midwest My Final Year of coaching at Norwich, where I was looking at potential job opportunities and seeing what maybe a good fit for me and I wanted to stay in hockey and I was looking at other coaching opportunities at the collegiate maybe even the junior level. But the value of understanding what's the right fit for you and there's so many student athletes that are out there that don't really know their path or need some help with that really kind of gave me an idea that I wanted to do something to give back to hockey, to give back to players that needed that additional help. So it really after I was accepted as the as a recruiting coach at the time for NCSA. That's when I really fell in love with helping student athletes navigate this pross and, more importantly, just educating them on the opportunities that they have in front of them that they just might not have known about. And when you talk about the educating for players, whether they're interested in the EHL or already in the EHL, you can kind of split it off into two, two parts of your answer. Where do you begin the conversation about what that next step is? Do you try and start slow, with one phone conversation at a time, or how does that process work? So I try to get to know the student athlete first, you know, I ask them questions on, you know, where they're playing, the athletic history questions, get to know them as the as an athlete, but then also the student questions. How are you as a student? You know college coaches aren't going to be looking at you if you don't have the grades. So I try to get to know them a little bit more than just a student athlete, but also off the ice, to I do call coach references to get to know players a little bit more in depth, but I try to get on the same level and build that connection, build that trust between families that I'm speaking with and you know, I tell them up front. I I want to be honest with you guys. I want you know student athletes take ownership with the process. I won't be doing everything for them, but I will be doing whatever I possibly can to help navigate that process for them. But it's in the beginning. It's a lot of the introductions, it's a lot of the potential. You know, here's the maybe a path for you. I watch a lot of video, I do a lot of coach reference calling and a little bit of background checking on student athletes to kind of see what maybe a best fit for them and then from there the tough conversations may have and and I know for myself personally, I was excited when I connected with John About this partnership because there's...

...not a lot bigger than NCSA, but there are a number of other different companies out there that you can go make your own different profiles on. What is it about NCSA that could help benefit the players that much more? Yeah, great questions. So there are a lot of recruiting services that are out there and as I mentioned, the advisors that do take place and help student athletes. Well, with NCSA itself, there are tons of coaches that are utilizing the network to try to provide opportunities for players. We have a different match analysis system which, you know, does the best that it possibly can, its computer generated to help realistically provide opportunities for student athletes. And then they have the chance to speak with the recruiting coach, and there are currently three other recruiting coaches at NCSA, including myself, that help navigate or help provide the inside the education in regards to what might be next, how to attack the recruiting process for individual student athletes. So it's a lot of hands on but it's also you have this online portal which you can upload video, you have a profile that is treated like an academic and athletic resume and coaches utilize this to help recruit for their teams. We're getting a lot more junior coaches interested in the network and utilizing it. We're getting a lot of college coaches, acch a college coaches as well. I mean that's a level that not a lot of families or student athletes know about and play it what that level is getting a lot more competitive. So there's just tons of opportunities and unlimited connection with the recruiting coach and the value that you're getting from from all the exposure and the education and what you're going to learn from this is second to none in my opinion. So with the other recruiting coaches, how do you, guys, divide up all the players? How many players do you do you talk to on a personal level each week? Do you feel like? Yeah, so it's divided up amongst, you know, those that are joining the network on a consistent basis and weren't the back end of things. So the sales team does a great job of kind of giving up the memberships and what they potentially could get through their process at NCSA, and then we're in the back end. So it's divided up really automatically based on, you know, the number of student athletes that we currently have as a client list. So it's really done that way. And then we have the same proactive outreach with the introductions and the sessions and classes that we teach to help navigate the process for the student athletes. But it's really just automatically divided amongst the three of us. We have a women's recruiting coach as well, so she takes a front of the women's hockey players that are in the network, but I will say there's a majority of the men's that are looking to navigate the junior process and all that. And on a weekly basis, I mean I try to connect with as many student a leats that possibly can. I kind of let it out in the beginning saying hey, if you need help at any point in time, please reach out, but I will connect with as many student athletes as I can, and that number roughly goes anywhere between hundred to two hundred student athletes, even if it's just a quick little text email blast, just, you know, updating them on what's changing in this wonderful world of hockey with the pandemic. So it's do the best we can to try to keep as many student athletes in the loop, especially those that need additional help at this time. It's been a hell of a year, like I've been telling everyone, and the partnership really doesn't just benefit for us, the players in the future players, but it also benefits are coaches. What can they get out of this New Partnership? To help them improve their programs, free access to thousands of student athletes. I mean thousands of student athletes. They it's no cost for coaches to utilize the network. They can have one profile for let's say their whole organization. Each individual coach can have access separately and they can do as much outreach through the email chains that they'd like. They can help promote opportunities to maybe some upcoming camps that they have to give kids a chance to prove themselves if they can be a good fit for their team or not. Also, the profile, as I mentioned, the resume. They can look at their transcripts, the academic information, the athletic history, contact information. They can contact student athletes directly. So you know, it's a no brainer. The free part of it is a huge factor as well, with coaches have unlimited access for free to thousands of student athletes that, you know, say they want to play Division One hockey, but they may not be a good fit for that and it might find some diamonds in the rough in the platform. And they also have access to recruited coaches such as myself to ask and say hey, we're looking for players, do you have any that might be a good fit hundred percent. So it's also another avenue where they can reach out to recruited coaches or myself directly and we can help connected with players that are good fit. Well, I'm excited. I know our players will be excited about it. A future players will be excited about it, same with the coaches. Before I let you go on this podcast have had a number of different guests from all different areas over the history of the podcast and one thing that weally to talk about my crew in...

...the podcast is all the different ranks that we have, you know, especially in this league, but I crossed the country because there's every rank is different and when I come in contact with individuals like yourself that have spent time in thousands of different ranks, I like to hear which one's really stuck out to them. What's what I like about this question is that there's never a lot of consistency to the answers because there's so many different great ranks out there. But for you personally, is there one that has just really stood out over the years that you know you can't wait to get back to at some point in the future? That's a good, really good question. You know what on Lee I, like you said, I've been two thousands of Ice Rinks, different tournaments all over the place. Now, when I was playing, I would have to say the Dr Pepper Center in Frisco, Texas was by far the best rank that I played at. I might have been the weather, might have been our locker room that we had down in Texas, but the Dr Pepper Center was probably my favorite playing in. But coaching with Victory Honda, now fortunate to be a coach at you eighteen level. Who? I'll tell you what. We went out to Massachusetts and played at that. I forgot what it has, like twelve or thirteen, fourteen rains? That's whatever that one's called. Is absolutely insane. So you know. And then we've played at numerous prep schools as well. Like I'll tell you that Mount Saint Charles Rink like it's an old time building. And I don't know, I mean I love playing in those when I was growing up. So there's just so many fantastic ranks. But yeah, I would say as a player with Dr Pepper Center, well, that keeps the consistency, I guess you could say, of the inconsistency with the answer. Everyone's got something different, which is what makes it fun. So I appreciate you come on a podcast. Like I said, we're all excited about this new partnership. We can't with for things to get started and I know that our players and future players and our coaches will all definitely take advantage of this. So thank you again. Thanks Neil. Last thing, I love you guys. As League guys do a fantastic job of helping players at that next level. So keep it up. We appreciate it. Thanks again to Alex theedith coming on the podcast this week. Obviously, we're excited announce another new partnership with Next College Student Athlete, a organization that will benefit both the players and the coaches in our league, as our commitment totals discontinue to rise, and I think they'll rise even higher because of this partnership. But with that, let's bring in the e crew now, and guys, I say this every week we come on this podcast and even though between now and when to recorded last week, we only played fourteen total games, it's still better than zero. So we're still moving forward, which is great. I mean, as everyone knows, the pandemic is hurting us around the country right now. But the HL were keeping on chugging. Everything's compliant. Every team staying compliant. We had some games we snuck in under curfews this week. We did a good job. They're Hashtag respectful citizens, as was man once said. And Yeah, we're just we're going to keep on hugging and playing the Games. Neil or in the league's looking good, and that's Jeff Mills, a broadcaster in our league. Jeff, while you're calling that game on Sunday night it was the express versus Seahawks, a SE hundred and ten puck chop. We did a showcase style with the twenty five minute halves. Are you looking at your watch and saying to yourself, are we going to get out of here on time? Kind of and I actually mentioned it probably at least once or twice a period. I said, remember, folks at home, we're in the first of two halves. Were playing showcase style. The reason we have to do this is because we have to comply with Massachusetts curfew hours, which is thirty right now, and we were out of the bill. We were done by eight hundred and fifty six, I think so. You said by nine, and the boys and everyone complied. So always will break. I know covid no joke, but it's not like covid wait until thirty one to attack right like that's everyone says he only come right after thirty. It's the door at Rodman. But it wasn't the only game on Sunday night. It wasn't the only game on Sunday night. You're pretty hard. I did not actually call that game. I call the afternoon game, the afternoon games. So, Brittany Hart, are ranks are reported. Did the score keeping on Sunday night? Up and took spurry. Remember, I pronounced that wrong, whokes Berry. I've pronounced that wrong all year, in the podcast last year or when you live there. For like our it was close to their close. But, like every time I pronounced the wrong, bretty would like scream at me. It's like listen, like surpens where you're from. Some people I still called to spurry. I mean we were said Tux spurry, tell you that game, that game. They were actually like. The difference with your game, Jeff, is your the players on Sunday night for the express seahawks could not hit the ice until time on the DOT. So with that, with that Rangers Wizards Game. They could do the regular warm up a half hour before seven o'clock. But, Brittany, I have to ask because Cory Felidi asked me. The game is three two for the longest time, yes, with not...

...a lot of penalties, and then all of a sudden the team that's up three two gets a five on three with like two and a half minutes left to go, and we'd all the rangers how good, how good they are scoring goals. It was like automatic. You knew it was coming. And then you look at the clock. Nine hundred and twenty two. We're out on time. We are out on time. We didn't rolled right out of there. You know what he and I even you know. Some day I said, I have said this is Neil nine hundred times. As Sunday was like a grand old time. I exited the bick with a Djar backpack and a beanie. So I was the mom looking at her and now I was content. I had a grand old time. We left before anyone got arrested for being outscre if you it was great. Better Sunday. To be honest. It's so Britt Didju Kyle appreciate this, because he's our resident nicknamer and master of puns. So you broke away from breakaway. I did. That's cool. That's lap. Damn, Kyle. What do you think? All right, I like that. I like that. That little that's like custom gift worthy. Oh that's right, the custom gifts coming up from good. I actually had a question for Britney heart from a Echel Fan who actually for the show, who did not want to be named. Totally meet. The question is I wasn't familiar with you guys might have been familiar with it. You know is actually you're right too. Was surprised. Is Kyle very little, like something my sleeve at the show. He finds the question. This is Kyle McKenna, are e, show beat writer and protect ducks number one fan. All right, the question the protect McKenna's Kyle. We can't hear anything. You're shaking now, Kyle. How many times if people refer to Bertie as the hit woman, it has something to do with like wrestling in from Calgary, Alberta, and I was like, Oh, Bret Hart, I yeah, I don't see, I don't I don't know. I don't get it, but it isn'tnoyting. Get it either, but apparently, like I was like the only one who's like didn't get it. I was like, yeah, there's an old man Wright a sent hits out for people's Dub I'm a little confused. Pleased watch rusty, as they don't need to be really any bounties on their league right now. So Pretty Heart Pretty Hart Bret Harping, because there might be some mental oriens out there in the league. But yeah, I don't know. That's why I'm guessing, like I'm sure, honestly, I wouldn't be surprised. I bring up because, like maybe some parents are all our audience out there, and it was something about things. No, mom, squad, do you know anything about this? Like you're start taking Moro calls. Know about this? Like we can, we phone a friend. Let's take a phone call. But and Kyle, you called two games between the ducks and the little fires, and on this podcast we have touched on save by Fata Dad. We've talked a little bit about night and but then maybe I feel like I look at the rosters every day, so I should know who most of these guys are. Did Dakota Myer just get here and where did that forty seven save pers performance come from Dakota Myer. Has Been on the roster since I remember. He was in goal when I was on CAPE COD and experienced earthquake and they put the Connecticut rough riders. That's right, and it was. It was. It was a tough outing for just the ducks in general, and he had n't played since then. So you're looking at around November, seventh, three eight. So now it's December first and he had n't played. His record his own one. We don't really know anything about him. You know it had been saved by Fatta Dad and and Dylan Knighton, who has like one of the coolest medicine league, but very impressed by Dakota Meyer. I mean he was a big reason why they want if you look the stat sheet, I think that's as it all hit. Forty seven saves. They routch out forty to like twenty five and they won the game two to one. So from the junior ducks, you know, it's an interesting situation right now at the roster. But if they do have one thing going from him that set in stone, it's the goaltending. So you can ever have, you can never have, you can never not have enough gold tending rates like pitching, and will be, in my opinion, if you have the goaltending of a chance to win. Stow Dakota Meyer was fifteen. Yeah, and with that let start making our way around the show. It's time for this week segment of around the e show. Around the show is brought to you by the junior hockey podcast you hold for junior hockey news, knowledge and nonsense. Check them out at tjh podcastcom. Are Your Mike's on like flat ground or flat surface? Right...

...now there's really there's a ghost. Here's a ghost on this podcast. Right now there's our those Oh my God, guys, we have a bounty hunter, we have a good Glorian do. We gotta get to episode fifty, like we can't just kill this on forty years. Come on, forty eight, this is weird. We gotta get at least its peoplefore they take us out. It isn't odd number. And I mentioned when we started there weren't a lot of games, obviously this past week in either division, more in the EHL than the HLP, and typically we kind of work our way down the standings. But I was trying to come up with some debate questions to spark the conversation between the three of us. And the first thing I can think of just looking at the standings, the first thing that pops out to me. All right, the Boston junior rangers are fifteen one and one, and the New Jersey Seven S, or Fi oh and two. And the words of Christarella, both teams are fifteen and two because the loss is a loss, not the debate, but waste fifty. Which fifteen team win is better? He's I are. That was quick. So if we look at number, my God, way, that kind of feel fake right now for answering that fast. And Heresy, it's you too, though. Again, like we said last week, we don't have any showcases this year because good old uncle covid thanks buddy. Hey Chick, can you please leave now? Thank you. And so we haven't seen he lost three. Haven't seen the eighty seven. Kyle has, but then Kyle hasn't seen the Rangers as much as all three of us have. Me and you. We both called the number of Rangers Games already. Brittany, you score keep the number of games for the Rangers are ready and we see them a lot. So I mean they both given up the same amount of goals against, thirty six. Jersey's got a few more goals for. They've ninety two, bj ours got eighty three. It seems like the ranges of scored like a hundred and twenty goals. Everything. Seriously, one hundred and forty two, six eight, sixty eight, sixty three. Yeah, six eight, you can't win that. That's not a correct score. We'll learn how to do proper math while we're already going off the rail. That's another debate. That's another debate that we'd have to have. Justin on the podcast for the backward scoring. Oh, just when I can go. We don't. We don't argue a lot, but there's one thing that will never see out of eye on and he believes when you're saying that your team lost five to two, you should say we lost two to five. And my now that's a European test. Every air my back stands up and it's just like no, like that's not the Oh, we're on your team, kyles. You See, in North America we don't say that. Every other place on the continent they do. They do. Yes, I just had about idea used to it. That's how they said this course be my girl Christina, just had a debate about this not too long ago to she goes why? But they she just said what justice? But they lost. They are the losing team. So they why did they lose? Five to two? They're the two, not the five. And I'm like, I'm telling you, just doesn't sound correct. Feel that low key. It just doesn't sound right. This is gonna have to be problematic. I thought, whatever is, whatever you do. The whole episode on his started out East and we were we were second right out here. So they're probably right, we're probably wrong, but it's our perspective an it's our podcasts. Right, WE'RE gonna keep saying it wrong file. That's right. We're gonna die on this, on this throne. We just confirmed Justin and Christina coming on this podcast and reason on the other side. So we literally have a three on three debate. Just shoots that the stage is set to for the first finally recount on this election. Right after an election. As podcast later, I think the public is now finally seeing that we voted for the wrong people. Are you trying to say that the bring up the eighty elect having times of the Raven Heart political party is is corrupt. Yes, yeah, okay, kind will have to bring it up at least once an episodes where there we keep getting those people. A way to go. I'm paying to go until until anywhere. Let me all on a good we put on a good face in the public eye. Of behind the scenes we don't get along. Okay, Kyle's doing what we call a drip campaign. So it's a drip campaign. So the more we drip, drip, trip, the more people here it after week after week after week, the more votes will end up Gett at the other day. Yeah, approved, Pek, yes, kill it next. But we got one vote so far because Britty wasted no time saying that the Rangers are better than the eighty seven. Oh my God, wait, I'm actually I will. I will prove of I will prove Kyle's point about how corrupt the heart rabbit political party has not say eighty sevens, and I'll throw it on youtube to pick from there. Can we say push change? That's OK, that's a week. You both. You have to pick one. You have to pick. This is a come on. Well, like I said, honestly I think the arts would have bashed my skull open if I said wow, sevens be ahead contact penalty. My opinion game is conduct. Wanted. Go see Ken Hodge. He'll...

...discipline you, Kyle. Kyle's going to lean towards eighty seven sits the team that he's seen more and I think jeff will go. So here's what I think will happen, and I don't want to motivate either team, but it's the eighty seven's in the Boston junior rangers man and best of three. I'm taking Boston in game one. I think they're going to offer something that New Jersey just hasn't seen. They're going to have to adjust to. But I'm often in that Adam who whoo, whoo, whooo, Hoo Hooi because that's look I look. I love watching eighty Stevens. I'm not as much. It's maybe is that scalp that people could say our about. I'm gone the other you know, people get sorry about it. Whatever. I can only report what I heard, but all the way it was sevens. There are times where they're putting situations like a no one goal game and that's when they lost. But they rebounded and they responded. So my guess is the sevens are really good hockey. Team that are right up there at the Boston junior rangers, and there are a team that almost needs to lose once, not a few times, not a whole season, just once and then they learn. I'm taking the s two out of three, but they lose game one. I want us. Those two deserve a seven game series. Yeah, they do. Twenty two. Never had that hl in the hittorally. You have a thinking taking boss singing game one, but I'm taking the sevens in the series. If that makes sense. Okay, and you want your bubble for that series, Jeff, were going to Hawaii. Will find the one rank in Hawaii. I will have a killer time's kind of let's do it. I am ready. Why will go there? Yeah, so those are those are only two of the teams. Wait, Jeff didn't even answer the question. Well, he's picking. Well, the Kyle who to college. Just pick pretty she not listen. Okay, said I said plus fuel. Right, like he's everyone game. You are already in Hawaii for the conversation. Any who is photo friends? Good. I said us, but that's weak. So I guess don't be a loser. Make It. Make it even music. Make it even, Jeff, I gotta go rangers, because that's why I've seen. I've called Poop, I've called piece. It will set a bad word, but we're trying to keep this a family show. But I mean I've already called at least like most five of their games this year, three, four, five games, so I've seen them a lot. I mean they're both built Sim really to they're both both have a lot of veterans. The multeachers just massive. Yeah, I would say. I would think there's a little more physical right. So I think that's why they win game one. But that's the things really like. They're not like a pelf. was that they trying to be like tough tuff. I think the Rangers can play both styles. So they can kind of play speed in they can. They can play the physical game too, right in case sevens are much anyone further on in this season. Yeah, okay, too, too fair. I took it. It's a good spot to be for now, while we're on this and your Tuff, Brittany, have you ever punched someone in your entire life? How she definitely has not. Like yeah, I'm definitely like Punch Shana, my fresh sides of Oh my God, if you could have witnessed shaw eyes like fights as children. Holy Christ should beat the absolute Christ out of me and I'm just I'm scared of Harley the way. If I feel like always, she's gonna Punch me. For All of our fans of home, you have to somehow see this tick tock, the prettiest family made of a Brittain. Yeah, it was my account by Tick Tock. Account is private for a reason and that is why. Well, sorry, guys, my tick pride. You know what? I think some people do follow my chick dock kound. You did see it, but it's very good. Rest of you stay out. was that fifty five seconds of that was just juicy. Yeah, for anyone that wants to know, the first thing that was said as my sister is sitting on the couch with my laptop and my pho controller and she goes, have you seen this eaho roster? It's trash, and I was like who, Shawna really did that? Like the KS for controller and all. I'm like, all right, this is like lockdown Brittany, that you're replicating, but I sha, I see you. And then we got there. We got mom getting angry. Let's Seanam you know my mom laundry out of the Wash Shana, because she that's all she does. That's all. God it. Okay. So these are the these are these are different debates now, but but anyway, is the next of next questions that we can go down. While we don't like this segment.

Yeah, this is good, but we went down when we recorded last week when I was in Maine. I have to reference that and cons and pants best episode ever because it wasn't me. We were just coming off of a second victory for the wolves over the avalanche in a shootout on Tuesday. But then the avalanche like they flip a switch and they take care of both games against the wolves on Saturday and Sunday, five to, five to. And it's an Avalianche team that doesn't score a lot of goals, as as Chris says pointed out. But did those like defect defensively? Like the goals they've get they've given up? It feels like it's either a power play goal or it's this like crazy given go odd man rush. You're not gonna get many gifts from that team and I think that's what makes them so different from the avalancher saying new from yes yet from the alley that many, many guess, but it makes them so different from the Rangers. Right, they're not going to beat you in a running gun shoot out down the ice, but make Michael made some just stupid saves on Saturday and then only unreal and then maybe they're sure word. And then Molby did the same on Sunday and it's like you get a good chance and these guys just put the paddle behind them and like the puck wants to cross the goal line. It's like a force field is right there. So I'm just really have this way different than last year and every year it feels like. It feels like it's different from every never had this kind of shutdown goaltender before. No, but it was so different. I have to reference. Okay, if anyone uses spotify and they gives you like your talk songs of Two Thousand and twenty, mine was the national anthem because I was the scordkeeper for the avalanche last year. So the natural and love the top song. I Love America. So I mean I can say I saw my fair share of avalanche last year. God whatever the stars Bangled Banner, whatever they I don't know, was playing throughout my Speaker Way Twenty Times. But this yeah, this year's Aveline team is way different. I just love watching rubber. It's like we're good. Robert Martinello, the owner's son, assistant, go to Susa. That will the only only three defense only oh three totally in total. That was named any HL Allstar. Everyone else was out to oh one or or the Britain or older. There was this. Did you guys go back and watch that one? Make Michael sequence that Brittie and I were talking about from Saturday? He like gets the puck behind, like literally the PUCK is on the goal out of the snags it and the the the whole scrum, because it like whatever whatever someone like nearly scores. I feel like in this league it just makes you that much more pissed off in the creased afterwards. So there's more pushing because the whole scrum. And then he just emerges and does like the mic Gregor like away and then takes the park and just bats it like I gets. He passes it like it's a baseball and this hits it over towards the face off toime. I'm like, okay, let's do I get swells like creaky whang points for him, the fantasy them. Can we do a new category now? I'M gonna be like rank. I have never that M to earn the swag points, like it's like plus. So I feel so not George, George's yes, he was, but George is so quiet and he's like the nicest kid to walk the fucking Mare we go. That's okay, I want to broadcast once. That's okay, as he's the nicest kids to walk the planet Earth. But just seem like George McMichael him all goalies, Dude. That I was like, wow, dude, I need to go bad deal. George gives the PUNK. You give a big ass hit. Right, yes, exactly, but it was like it was so like it was what pretty thing is, like he's the quietest kid in the world and he's got all these weird goalie tendencies. When the PUCK hits the post, like and the whistle blows, he does this thing with his water bottle. You like squirts it up into the air like you know you're talking about. I don't see which dishes. I think it's what it is and let suit goalie tings like screen holding every tell me, like the goalie like takes off his helmet and like squirts the water and its flow and I like brushes it back, like the very different guys. They're very iman. You gotta be to sit in front of a eighty ninety hundred plus one right, like please, blast puts of my face. Hello, and him and and speaking of blasting pucks at your face, I guess I get a picture sent to me just before. I don't know if this before we recorded last or after. I wanted to bring it up because the wallpole express we're hitting the ice for practice and there was a goalie. There was a goalie dressed up ready to go practice. God carrots to play in college. Many Campbell guy in net, in front of his team. After that's why it been so hot, because coach...

Campbell's out there like come on, guys, come on, let's go. He goes afterwards. I haven't been that sore and like eight years. I was like for sure he sick. Is he the key to Mason? Don't call me Arnold Palmer's success and Eric, don't call me clay buckles the success. Maybe. Maybe. What was it then? Don't call me. What they don't call me is what's the don't call me Joe's got their real name? Yeah, they're not Arnold and they're not I wish I could have seen. I would have paid to sit and watch that wallpole practice, like I'm gonna have paid admission to watch would them. Should you have gone on the ice to shoot? No, do because I know that cody would tear me to shreds. Do we still have the video of you shooting? Shooting Room at the ace tent? Everybody, please be on stand I'man like Bretty. Would never let me put this on the League account for Instagram. But if we did see through text mess, dude, last year, video games, any video we are posted before this would blow them all out of the water, literally every I would get to the ice down like the I here. It is. Our gifts are the I stand like three hours or two hours before the game is if I'm like about to play, and I would just sit in the shooting room for hours wait to hold on. Impressive. If I say to myself, one girl left, it wes that you're shooting. Yeah, let little left the action. See empidextrous. So I think it's I think the phone is backwards with it's reversed. That's what it is you can't see because my brightness is like no I can see it. Just for the real storm. I got the puck off the ground. What could you taunt in the camera to after go? WHOA, yeah, that was my thing. I would. I'd go to the Superman just sit there for literally hours on it. Okay, be wordy. Didn't taunt the camera after but this is me with Shawn Wah, just glasses on. And but, but you know what would be a funny G if we if we did post that video, Brittany, it would be a funny caption to say that you would the league leader in Angus. Oh, that's saying and your vally. Come on, ry mcgrap driving ground, Ryan, we're glad to be your seventhite hockey podcast. Than Dude, that was so frightened. For those that don't read our text, because they are in the great text, Ryan Mc Grass have was happy to point out that we are his seventh favorite podcast. So we're inside the top ten, at least, you could say. But continuing on in the New England conference, another thing that stands out to me, and I think it's partially a combination of who they've played. I hope the express over the ABS yet new. No, I'm not doing that one. That's that's that's that's too much power. AKING as Christmas a Raven's right. Why? Actually, why isn't? Because it's a combination of who you beat, who you've lost to, why you've done lately. And I'll win for the avalanche over the express at the start of the year. I don't know. Teams. See England the wolf. This is been. This is been a quite from last year. On rading. I've been calling a lot of Yel here and you're having just said continue, president, Jefferson Mills, I'm been calling a lot of wobble games lately and, like Kyle said, with the avalanche losing to the wolves who are behind them in the standings, the exist nothing wrong with that, right, there's nothing wrong. It's nothing about that at all. But yeah, wolpos twelve and one and there was thirteen games. So they're just they look almost drop something. I'm I mean Wal Paul had more losses. He's as hot as they can possibly get right now. So just look. It's the weekly power rankings. A Theo to the day power, none, then then the yeah, I mean this is a week sweet thing this is like the monthly power rankings. Is a lost a while with me. That was the beginning of the season. To say. What I have to say is if Justin had appeared on this podcast from the beginning to talk about backwards scoring, he would have stuck on. He would have stuck on for this segment, because he was teas all over me and text saying how are you? How do you still have the avalanche? A Haad of the express so he did not like. That's a big mood. But you know we are, won't? You still going to keep showing? What is it? What I was going to talk about? What I was gonna talk about was you weeks ago when I said that a team to watch out for was the seahaws hockey club, and it doesn't feel like they've lost six strade games now, I said in my video. I talked about it in my video. They have some press blood there to they just add hunter bracket, I believe was. He looked good if he come from, because I know his name but I've no idea where he came from. Sorry, I don't mean to be rude. He's he played on the warriors earlier this year. He actually have the game winning goal for the Warriors, I against the avalanche on that October first game, which is crazy. The sequence.

He played a few games in the NA, get some use. Ghost is back, be gives the NA, you said, new way, a few games in the NA. So they're adding pieces, I mean. And then the golden thing is kind of it's really interesting because I didn't know that Peyton Duran actually went to skidmore last year. Wait, no, that was blame. More was supposed gook blame us to go this year. But go. I'm sorry. I don't creep everyone's EP as much as you people may think. That's all I do in my free check. How crazy that. That's not what I spend on more time doing. But Blaine was supposed to go to skidmore this year. Yes, the three season got canceled, so that's how bill was able to pick him up. So, like, imagine we have a cyclones last year. Yeah, I imagine if there was like some sort of they're both going to skid more after both playing for the seahawks. Like that's weird and they're like competing kind of together, right and right. What's interesting is every time Duran plays, like obviously I talked to a lot of these coaches. You know, pre and post game, every coach points out how good this goalie is and like, like rich DiCaprio said, when the Rangers beat them three to like, like that kid is good. Like that kid, maybe the Ryan Kowalski from the old train team. Go there, goes to skidmore. Yes, dude, get up with the facts, Brit me, like go off. Okay, ready, you're on here more, are you? So it's were, not EP. I'm not on EPH. Nice to hear about Duran. And now that's those are some kind words to right from rich. Yeah, so right. It's you know, and I feel like Ritchie don't dishcompliments of life creates when it's too right. He's a kind of guy who but Daddy. Also, he also loves to point out, like whenever he cost me after a game, he'll bring it up. He'll say, I had, I had another one of those arm up moments when there's a call against. He know that he's don't the arm. He knows he does it right like and he holds it right there. Rich. I need you, my man, rich, I need you. He knows that I'm talking about I need you. I think it's like when you watch so many games zone. You see it because I do it occasionally. You want to do a play, that play I'll do. Just call it. You be like and that would take a trip, and then you're like, oh, yeah, I feel like he did a little Sunday just I'm like, Oh, the Mike wasn't on by a Ford or high sticked and there's no call. But but you'll go back to your point about the seahawks. I got to talk to coach at aboute and coach Campbell for like two seconds before the game of the other day. Well, too many people in the office, you know. I wanted to be compliant everything and they was closer a game time. But Bill said that he's figuring things out, reinventing the wheel a little bit, but he likes the new guys he's brought in. That to say at this kid is another good one. He's a good any other newer bitch brothers look good. They're fast, they got some speed. And then Wi you said to it that with he blamore and Peyton D ran. Yeah, later on the season I think you're really going to see that pay dividends. Having the two veteran goalies, because you can see that the team plays really well in front of both of them. So that's that's a huge plus for him. Down the strips they won't get they won't be able to burn either of those two out, but correctly you can kind of do a cody's doing with with Palmer and buckles every other back and forth right. Yeah, Oh, yeah, that's good. Tools. Look at the other night after he bounced back, after that was his first game since the glad to see I wasn't first exactly realize that was the first game since then. So I'm glad I didn't curse Mr Arquackles. He looked extent when the other night. And but as a note, the wabble plays really well in front of Bolt Buckles and Palmer like that's some group. That's something you're seeing a lot this year with a lot of these teams. Is a lot of to a lot of tandem goaltending. Yep. And and the two last points I want to make sure I pointed out for the seahawks. Number one, you could probably hear Nash squeaking his toy upstairs. Nash is not rattled about picking the seahawks for the Thanksgiving showdown and losing his first ever pick. But they'll have to earn some redemption soon. Obviously came with cody. Cody. Cody did text me after the game finished and said I I think he did. He goes take that Nash, cody and and Nice. The second point, I know Brittany has been. I don't have you get jeff and Kyle. I don't think you've been the Tony Ginnerna yet. Toby, he's now. Actually have not. I've been up that way, obviously because I want to own a team on cap gun, but keeps is electroc so really want no shortcuts. Okay, we'll get there. When you walk in there's like an immediate staircase right there. There you go upstairs and that's for Jim McCabe, cause a game from that little perch up there. and honestly, mckeeb and Molice. My mom did a great job on that Thanksgiving fuel now,...

...but I know we gotta give a one. Hey, how are you, Joe? I know that bill isn't going to get too upset about this, but bill's office is like right on the left under the staircase and it's like where Harry Potter lived when he was with it? Yeah, it's it's he lives in a cupboard at the doubles. It's not a big drive, it's not a big room, Bill for skull and bills, not a small build. A pretty big guy like like like whatever, wanting to his office. He's like come on in. You can't move your chair off it because it's not a lot of room, but you could sit right down. Can we get it some coming? Can we work on I'll get a picture for you. Position on it good? Yeah, Dude, or thing, I don't know. You can. I don't know. You can't wait. I want to go to toby keeps now. There was one time I was running around with Vannikin. Vannock like fell down the staircase on my watch and I was like, AH, people, could be me watching your kidney falls down the stairs. Could not be be. I've never even been there, but this story is just like just sounds funny, doesn't kids? Are you rest continuing on what older rink right, Tony? Kids? A little bit buildings? Yeah, a little bit. Alder Hey, making old doesn't make it bad. Matthew's right, classic, Beautiful Rena. It's like a hundred something. I'm surprised it's still stated, but it's a great dy. The original home of the Boston Brooms, nine hundred and twenty four. They still get the banner up there. Yes, every time. It's great. Well with that. WILL SHIFT DOWN TO THE MIDLANDIC conference. We touched on the eighty seven. Who the better fifteen when team is for the record, if you miss that segment, two of US wind, two of us, two of US staid eighty seven, two of us at Rangers. So it's all even. The one thing I know that team Marilyn, whenever I put them in the top five, they immediately get cursed afterwards, like it's I can't even exaggerate that, like they went on a losing stream of curse last week. Now that Chuston as the play. Yeah, so. But I bring up team Maryland because team Marilyn just brought in all over Quinn Bobby on the class key's played pretty well throughout the year and Quinn had his struggles a little bit with the avalanche. Of course, remember he played for the wolves towards the end of last year. He became Oh yeah, you guys, this year APB game, be game, the guy with the wolves, and well, I know that they're they're kind of a hot and cold team team Maryland, right, MD for life. Yes, that is that is me. But I think if that change of scenery helps Quinn, like we've had this debate and I don't know if we need to like call it out right now who the second best team is in this conference. But I think if, if Quinn, if that transit scenery helps him, I think that team has the chances to climb back up to the second spot in that conference. Well, did I see? Quinn made fifty three saves on fifty six shots the other day too. Is that a stall? Wait, it goes against. was that the three two apple, apple core beat them three two and then mariland bounce back, as we like to say. That's Thomas Walker territory. Fifty three throw back and a half. Kyle, this is pretty your time will twain that different day. Oh my God, that was all. Was it this? I got the froze? Aw, that was was dude, it was. Yeah, it was. It was looks nineteen. Yeah, but that the funny said. Doesn't that say eighteen on it? Or my blind that was the seventeen eighteen season. Correct. The second year is always the the year that the season finished. Latch with your five to do last bullshit. But the one thing that if if those at home don't follow on Instagram, follow prime gold ending. It's Matt Grogan. He is the assistant coach for the apple core and I have to get every team to do this. You guys saw one of the clips with the Jackson Bernard Save against the little fly, whatever that was. He puts a go pro on each end right behind the net and he showed me the mountain stuff that he uses and like just like it's a different angle, but like it's yeah, I was I was curious how you got that angle origin. So cool, like I it's not a bus ness here. It was good for Pildelphia. So he does it for every game. He puts one on each end so that they could you know, offensively, they probably are looking more at the power place set up to see kind of something that's set in stone. Like, offensively, if you're just having a rush come actually going through, what do you what are you gonna totally see? Right? But defensively you can learn a lot about your structure, about your goaltenders angles and stuff like that. I'm not a goalie at all. But go follow prime goaltending. Thank you. Like it's...

...a skater. It's a fun account and like he's posted some clips. It's the ones that the apple core uses when they when they post some stuff on their instagram story. There's some cool angles of goals, some saves and obviously we know Jackson Bernard's made a few just in on your head saves throughout this year. And I was just some top plays last week. Yes, that's what I was the one with the paddle. I mean I'd love for every one of our teams to have a go pro on each end. I think that'd be sweet. Yeah, it would make friends up the orders meetings in the offseason. Yes, made for some fun editing because the audio from our hockey TV broadcast doesn't line up with the camera in the gopro right. So you'd have to kind of time it up a little bit if you were doing some editing. But it could be cool. Because so, anyone else have anything else? Do you want to cover down Southcu? He did touch out. We did touch on Protech, we did touch on protect right before we started. The LASHT PLF. The Sea Wagons are wagon and r their way has PLF has woke up mcgrat Che's, who he's a star Gras, and Kyle Patton, let's not forget him. Till Alo is disappointed in me, between Kas Suda and Scott McGraw for four to the month. Oh yeah, it was pissed. All your suit is doing a is putting up points for my girl, my grand had regret to shorty on Monday when I saw God had one more. Impressive. Yeah, McGraw had one more point. Technically then, yes, Suda, but you shoots points per game were higher and it's just too I think you suit as now only had no points in what like three games all season. I mean, I know it's for the month, though, so I get it's what did you do for me lately? What you do for me this month? Oh, also, show out to Alo Kubik is, my backup goaltender. I could use them, but he got me a shout out on my bed repair. It was a US stubb on on. I was wanted. I'm going to bring it up. I was gonna Strip you, starrd for that. We get fantasy, because that is wild, but it's it's sly worn't it out? We poured it out in this podcast. When we didn't know how good the little fires were, partially because they had lost five times to the eighty seven so far. Not to say that there's any easy opponent in this league. We saw the little flyers go beat Pete procheck. One day five, nothing, lose, the next day two, one, right. We've seen that before. I mean look at eighty seven versus rough riders. There there, season starts. It's like it's like this. It's a roller coaster. Right Button is says President Mills would say. But we pointed out the little flyers in that the base the sevens again. So now their records are in the climb back up towards five hundred and I know kyle say on one podcast this is the best last place team in the league. There they're still in second to last right now, but I think they just don't look like it though, when you watch them play, especially with the new kids they've added in the just all the new pieces they got going down at the IW rice first getting commas and s Pennsylvania. Get up, Tom wilms, I can't wait to gets cheese teake. They're with Kyle. Someday when Covid I'm sorry to leave this planet will do it? Will you give your review, just like Kyle and Jake Frankenfield did? I don't know. I mean you can do me more together, so you have to be met. Kyle and another do player is but kind of cool. I'd enjoy that. Alo already made that gift a couple weeks ago for me and Kyle in like in the car, like cheersing our steak and cheese has. Oh my God, I don't know its real boot. I forget. Was that from like a movie I didn't recognize? Yeah, I don't know. It's kind of funny. Brain think it was funny. No, no, I did. I did. I was mad funny. It's mad. Fine, it was he eat. It actually disappeared lately, kind of just a while, like embarrassed and disappointed, and we're like heat right now, we do kit get edy with it. Bris. Oh my God, wait, wait, I need to send you guys about tick tocks. There's this chick tock account called the yeat baby in this in this little girl, I don't know. She has to be like under three, and like she just pours her juice in the coming goes yate and it's a verbal and I really was I'll tend to the good job after we get off this. Well, I think that since Kyle is on a gift making train, maybe he can make a gift of heat baby and that will use her some big goals or something on twitter. I love the electric before we all this creativity. Guys. Yeah, like it's getting wild it here. As for the EHLP, obviously not a lot of games this past week in the EHL, even less in the EHLP. We only had two games from when we recorded this last us to sweep for the railers over the warriors. But things of course pick right back up this week. But I know Jeff already touched...

...on this, started to kind of hint towards it. Of course. I our our Allstar lineups got underway this past week, so we need to update everyone on where we're at in fantasy because, like I said to you guys, things are going to change really fast here with these full line so with that, let's get to what to watch for. Before we wrap things up. Here's what to watch for this week in the east show. It's time for the EA grew fantasy challenge, brought to you a Biber Tu Cheez Rick. I'MN pizza and Pasta, your home for authentic Italian dishes, catering and group diving. Check out their party pizzas and specials at Fortu cheezcom. So sometimes when I text you guys, like I don't even realize what time it is. But the other night I am doing the updates with the spreadsheet for the fantasy points and I'm and I'm looking at it and I'm looking at it and I'm trying to figure out how the Hell Jeff and I each have two hundred and forty seven point four, and I'm like, I got a text them and I was like, Oh, it's one hundred and fifteen am. I probably can't send that sex right now. You text it all exact man, and times I annoy you, feel free. Play it up, Brolet it up. I don't didn't feel like waking you guys up, but I was like getting tired and I immediately like woke up at us, like God, how do we already get tired? And Jeff, that has to be something with the ghosts. The ghost is on the top, the ghosts of the of the of the east show. It's crazy and I love it. Jeff, who grew is the ghosts like I don't think we don't know. Who is it? Thomas Waker? Maybe someone can create who. He's still live rib yeah, he's doing well. He's playing calls a burst bag this V show. Yeah, he's with Kyle King. Also his like he is like a persona when you're in the AHL and the once you leave you have like a ghost goes. Yes, you still live, like all right, yeah, I mean deep. I mean we'll start, I guess, at the top with Jeff's line up, because he put up forty eight points to this past week and I felt like the highest of the have any of US said s? But we all had red. Once you get I won't tease it, but once you get through all of our points, we all have like record setting even where. Who was the will let you. I don't want to blow it up, will let you. Yeah, I mean, obviously we have the full lineups. So nobody had a bad week. Let's just say like like that highest total up until this point was when Kyle Britin Patricia went off in week one with forty three point six, which is crazy to think about. Right. Like, Jeff, you had a really good week, don't get me wrong, but we have nine forwards and six offensive kinds of them with forty. Sure that's ridiculous. That, like that was wild, but I mean just first week, the very first week, the very first week, it felt like when I was going through the box stores this week, I was like for Jeff Chris Aaron's assist, Justin Sullivan Gold, Donny FELMANIS SIS right. They all chipped in, like and and each of us. We obviously picked our subs. And to clarify for those that were asking what the subs before you, you only can use a sub if a players injured or the team is on some sort of shutdown. That is covid related, which, of course, is very broad right now, because that could I did mean you have corvette covid or means that the state's does not want of you play. So almost gets a saucep no, that's on you. You pick that. You picked the you pick the bad citizen, because that's expension. Yeah, use that word so much. Last year. What happened? We can we got it something. They susp Oh my God, yet baby. All right, anyways, to like Kyle Chat, I have literally left the shot. I feel like what I'm working at. I'M GO GET JEFF'S AT JEFF's point totals in the ones that stand out first are the sub forward that he gets the plug in and we're in the locally. Three goals in two games, Eleven, eleven points, like okay, and then we were like we was, it's that one. Three goals. Both of them are. Two of the three were game winners. Now one of them, I saw. Two of them what I was broadcast. One of them are. Yeah, so what? None of them wasn't an empty net goals. So maybe I'm sure Ryan McGrath would say that those are were worth more. But anyways, your to your two goalies. We didn't record the draft because we did online. It would have taken six hours to record. Oh my God, you got should not entertainment make Michael with a thirty three safe performance, Palmer with a thirty two, eight point six and nine point four points. And, like you said before, you didn't even get to your sub goalie, which there's there's no way for me to allow the sub points to happen for the goalie because the other two guys both played right. So not. But the thirty three save shut out, like are you saying? They're getting dust, getting mock balls every tough. It's tough because would you rather have a get rid of the eight point six he had and take that one? Yes, but you can't do anything because both those goals are...

...playing. But obviously a killer week for Jeff with forty eight points, and another one that we have talked about with Kyle. Kyle had kind of a slow start, but kyle has to be getting his Michael leave a Jersey rather than go. I saw that box score earlier before. Kiss all leave a leaving you. I can't believe that no one picked this guy prior to myself. I he's living. I was extremely lucky. I was like, this guy's still on the board, like I actually feel like a GM in the National Hockey League. I'm like, leave us still on the boarder that we got to pick this guy. He went way to Maddie Marsel, like let's go, two goals, three assists, a power play point, a game winner, fourteen points. Yeah, there's wow. And he's at a lecturer too. If you've ever seen this a young gentleman play, have you guys seen him play the in person? Oh, yeah, can't say. I've. Yeah, watched a lot of core. He's one of the team for the last couple of years. Right now he's this is a second year. Yet second year he's A. He's always involved. The course. There's a lot of names. Britti in the Sey prettysy. He end up on the store leaf I was ago. What are you saying? Oh, he's one of the one standouts to stand uts. He's always involved. He's a he's a he's Hi the card you. He's a speedster. He's even like when he has the puckets, like holy cow, like this kid is good. And even when he doesn't have the pockets like you guys like still seeing, he's like shifty going over the Blue Line. So yeah, I'm surprised he was left available for me. So honor. He got you fourteen Peyton Duran, while it when in the books as two losses, still got to eight point, six points. You flip one of those games, you take away maybe one goal against or two and he add a four point wing a win. That's a that's a six point swing. Set on point swing right there. So it's that's that's the margin of the how close this thing really is? None, of course, one of Kyle's Goalie's. Maybe this would have helped jeff maybe not. Adam Faust is on the rough fires right now and they say the Connecticut that's currently shut down. So Kyle subs in Nathan Mueller, who just wins Games. He just wins Games right and and that's where it gets kind of tough, right, because Nathan Mueller's one win was against Peyton Duran. But but he's still he's still got kyle nine points, you know what I mean. So so it's still a good week. Like I said, Kyle's week got infinitely better on Monday and Tuesday this week when the Apple Corps had that series with Marilanda, two games, and then Tuesday when the Rangers beat the seahawks. Up until those three games, the week hadn't been going as well as it was for kyled and his points went through the roof. But with that will continue on to Brittany. I got last place, guys, that's rattling me. Oh my God, Britney had thirty five points because on what a commissioner, freaking wait, funny text of us all those. Dude, I was I so I was recording my monthly video whilst, like I had that game on and I left the camera recording because I was like too lazy to get up and this goal was scored. So the goal, I don't know the order. The goal was by Joey Shafer, assisted bite younger and lot Valla on the power play. So good, get up, temple points for all. Boom, boom, bre so, ten point gold for me, and I was like my boys, get up, bjr. I was ecstatic. I I agree. I had the same feeling with those textic as. The other day I was sitting at my desk and I was just looking. I'm like, Oh yeah, I had a bunch of guys players today. Walpole played Wow Sullivan and it was just like everyone. Papa, my boss, scored sole the friends. So Palmer was like what? Literally I res I was like this is too much. I couldn't have asked for three better people. That just like, boom, boom, boom. So we're all trying to say is Neil, thank you for this great idea. This was brilliant idea and we're all very excited for creaked on my point. So I can't say I looked at more than like that one. Oh my God. Well, I mean, Nathan Young, seven points was your highest, which shows you how many guys you had contribute to still get you thirty five. It's one assist for sea wagon and assist from an Ashenko, assis for McDonald, go on, an assist for Shafer, on down the list. Of course, we subbed in very out. was just like, yes, we subbed in Joseph, hence, and for you, because Nikita PRIMAC is, I think, still looking for a home to play and now he's not on the main eclipse kind would like to billet the key to private. Can put that up there now. Yes, that they'd be like stepbrothers of the bunk beds. We just become this friends. Yes, and I got, I'll do it to God, last place this past week with thirty two point two points, and it was kind of frustrating. I have to give credits to first Michael car dude, to WHO's on the line...

...with Leva, had a goal and free assist and the power play point for ten points. Zach Simon helped me out a lot with his two goals, one of which was shorthand city paid some money for getting you that much points, and that's get lights it up for you. You need to pay off. You need a real quick, real quick just to come in because I got to talk to Zex Simons. I met his dad and his mom. Dad And dad so nice and I want to say thank you to all the Simon family. They're all from Minnesota. Is Grandparents Watch every game. There Hockey TV, view hockey TV, officionados. They watch every game. They're awesome people. And Zec Simon's got a twin sister just like myself. Met Her in the hallway to so yeah, the Simon Family is a big fans of the HL's really cool. It's awesome. Yeah, that stuff so and he loves playing well for you. Like bridges said that back in way. Do you see that short and of breakaway goal was a filthy backhander and I'm so glad I got to call it. I was like, Oh, it was matthews through a little saucer pass, over a couple of seahawks sticks and then Simon just went in and did the rest. It was. He said goodbye, he said good bye to you his Oh, are thirty four points that he's got me so far this fantasy season lost. There's nearly, nearly, like thirteen fourteen percent of my total. That's like a limany girl uncle for one guy. But weeks worth the points I got team this week we're the points of one guy and I got to sub am luckily clay buckles, Eric, Eric Lay buckles, because because of the two other goals that were in either a shutdown or off off for covid it. So that helped a lot. That made up for the week when I did pick buckles and he got me negative one point four evaps back with the win and overall standings, as I mentioned, Jeff and I are tied at two hundred and forty seven point four. Il At two and twenty four. So that's easy, man. There's twenty seven points behind and then still kind of easy math, thirty four point four points behind his Brittany. But you see just from the totals from the first week of this like it can flip back quickly, like you have enough players that, if they contribute in one or two, maybe even three other games, you're talking somewhere near the forty, two, fifty, maybe even sixty points. And now you go from where you're at in the standing to jump forward. The one thing that we do have to recognize before we close out this podcast is obviously the different state restrictions are constantly changing there's there's so much going on and it's made for some headaches. At the time of this recording of this podcast, we've played a hundred and forty five games in the EHL and that's probably around forty five is percent of the schedule. That's awesome. That's sets the credit. We're getting there. We're truly getting there. But what we're going to have to brainstorm offline and have our own offline, heated debate, I guess you could day, is for these all star lineups. Do we just continue to them through the end of January so that every player gets the chance to actually play for us, in case their state restrictions don't allow them to come back until the beginning of January? I'm in this. Feels like I'm like twelve years old playing NHL, like franchise mode again. We're just it's just, it's so much. They can so on write that down and might be the the quote of the week and you're everything true, but put the quoted and and use the picture of Jeff giving like the thumbs up with a mask, with the gift, and that's it, and that's your quote of the week. Next week I'll say playing NHO franchise mode again. Yeah's true. It's like you're just drafting, like all these kids are awesome. They're picked up all stars for a reason. I did explain the broadcast the other night to kneel about the reason that we pick these sixty eight kids is they were not committed. We're trying to showcase some guys. So there were some Zach Simes the world that didn't get picked, but they have been well for Atlins did that? Nobody asked and I just tried to like get it out there, just let people know. So I we're just trying to let people know the podcast that we're trying to get these guys exposed so they could get committed to and there's some, all the really good guys in this league that didn't get picked, but it's not because they're not all stars, it's because they're doing well. But the spotlights already been on them and they're going to go to the next level played their college arc team. So that's all exactly so. But with that, we're excited for another big week upcoming. Obviously I want to acknowledge that right now the ehl schedule has fourteen games on it. Knock on blood I guess. I guess you could say knock on wood here, but it's something where keep an eye...

...on the ehl website, eastern hockey league dot org, because when you go to the schedule on there, I do my best to try and keep that as up today as possible so that the fans at home, the family is at home, the college scouts know when we are playing. And, like I said, we've played a hundred and forty five and it's slow. It probably feels like it's should be, you know, late January, early February and it's only beginning of December, but we're still taking those small strides forward to where we want to get to. And we touched on it a little bit between the two top teams right now. We don't know who's better. Sevens are interests. We don't know who the best team in this league is right now and WHO's going to win this thing with all of a sudden done. But we know that there's a ton of good hockey players at both levels and we're doing everything that we can for those players. So with that, guys, enjoy your week, Jeff, enjoy calling a wizards game, because never in the history of East Coast Wizards broadcast. Has a broadcaster called a game that's not been named Neal Rapid? It's kind of a weird thought. kind of a weird thought. That's we I know it is. When you told me that the other day I was like, Oh, I don't like that, I don't like breaking Juju like that. That's a but hey, we gotta get it done, because we got that's a good thing, though, Neal, because we have other teams playing. It's a good thing we have conflicts, as that means the whole league is so it's going on. It's all my mom says. Well, it's a good thing that you're calling games because that means you're playing. Thanks for the support, mom. I really, I really am a rabbit. She's alway appreciate. Come on, I'm over rabbit to be she's being positive, sweet lady, which is that are all the biggest thing right now. We're going to remain positive as an e crew and make sure that our players and our families and our coaches do the same, because we are moving forward no matter what this pantemic throws at us. So enjoy the games this week, guys, and we'll talk to you next week. Sounds good. See you guys. See you at the drink to buy thanks for listening to the show.
