On this week's episode we break down a week full of parody and the ehl in the EH L P, a tight race developing and the e crew fantasy challenge and Kyle's upcoming appearance in Aston Pennsylvania. But first we kick things off with one of the best storytellers in the League, Bob d'lessio, the equipment manager for the Connecticut chiefs, joined now by Bob Delescio, the equipment manager for the kineticat chiefs. How's it going, Bob? Great? How are you doing? Thanks for having me. Of course we talked about this for the longest time and I don't want to say I finally k but I knew at some point this season I was going to have you on. And you know, one thing that's very unique about what you do for the chiefs is I think you may be the only equipment manager in the league in the Eh Shell. But for your role it's more than just the junior's. Well, other teams do you work with? So I back you took on a fourth team this year. I have the eat. Obviously the EHL is my main focus. Part I have the chops, the UA teen elite and I'm helping out with the you sixteen national team. So I got my plate full every day, let's put it that way. And for my job, I like to say that yeah, well, I'm I may put in fifty plus hours during the season. The offseason maybe it's, you know, ten or so per week. For Your job, is it the same thing or is it kind of full go as the year goes on? So I get had this question asked to me probably about I know half a dozen times in the last month. Who I work seven days a week? The answer is yes. Last the first couple of weeks of the seasons, eight teams reported early. I think I calculated close to eighty, eighty, two, ninety hours per week. I only live a mile from the rink, soul. I'm here all day. I get here at four, I get up at thirty, I'm here by five and I don't leave on a regular day until about thirty. So I'm putting in a full day and during the season it's the same in the summer time. This past summer, obviously, with the covid and everything and being walked out, I put in more hours in the summer than I ever have before. So we got a lot of complish. I know it was a bad time for a lot of people but gave me a chance to do a whole bunch of stuff that I normally jam in the six or eight weeks. I was able to get a whole bunch of stuff done in in the time that we were down. So it definitely, definitely, it's a full time bringing, no matter what what time in the season it is. So before we get into what you did during the the covid times throughout the summer. But back to my point about you being the only equipment guy, I'd love. I'd love to have every team have an equipment guy like yourself. Obviously it's a little bit different at the tier three pay to play level and you're doing and you're doing more than just the EHL and the EHLP teams. But what you provide to those teams? What would you say is your main you know, your main responsibility? What's the main thing they're trying to accomplish on a daily basis? With our junior teams I'm trying to teach somewhat to expect at the next level. They're going to leave here and hopefully go play college, play major junior may move up from there, and what I've learned over the years is that a lot of kids and I've been at the college level, I've been at the NA level, the nhut all the way up. I've been topped to bottom, and what I my main responsibility here is to be able to obviously provide them the service that I that's my fortake. The Skate sharpeting, we the setup, learning about the different subtle piece of their stick. A lot of them have no idea, saything when it comes to their their skates. Most of them don't know what radius they want to cut at and send out an Acre's an exam. I set out an equipment manager's form to all the players with equipment information on it. One of the questions was what size is your skate play and they all sent back, almost to a person, the size of their skate, not the actual start. I had one kid, one shit on the UT team, send it back and said thirty something, which is I have no idea where he came up at that much. That's just stuff that I'm that I'm trying to teach them at this level keeps them to what to expect at the next level so when they get there. But the number one goal for me each day, especially on a...

...game day or even on a practice day, is when they hit this building that they don't have anything to content, to think about other than getting on the ice and doing what's required of them on a daily basis. I want them they shouldn't have to worry about anything to do with equipment. They have a problem the day before, they've tell me and when they get here the next day it's taken care of or if it's not, we come up with a we come up with the solution. So I guess it's more of a learning and teaching at this level then the actual then the actual hands on stuff. I mean, I stole you every game that's required, skate sharpening, repairs, ordering, laundering. We've just added a new laundry room to the to the locker room area, so they at this level, believe it or not, to getting fresh towels and there their understuff get laundered every day, which, after talking to other people around the league, this is this is unprecedented at this well, what I like about it is I think that maybe over time, you know, one or two scenes per year, starts to add an individual like yourself to provide this service to the players and and every organization does things differently, right, but when I talk about it, when I talk about the Connecticut Chieves, it is a full staff. So you start with Brandon Johnson and ownership, we're talking to you right now, the equipment manager, and then just the number of coaches from from, we agree, to John His sick to Jeremy Gearhart to I corvo. You have so many different guys they're working with. I'm not even touching on the guys with at the midget level. Now. Does that yeah job the easier or does it make it harder? Working with that many coaches. Here's the thing. The coaches are the coaching. It's great to have a large number because you feel like, obviously I've been in the NHL, so you know what it's like get down level in the American Hockey League. But I've would've been with some teams over the years. You know, the teams in Texas where there was three guys and that was yet at the coach, general manager and the medical guy and that's all we had. So to have this many people, it's definitely an asset. Obviously it's at helps with the development of the players and different people, but it it's it's a little hectic for traveling purposes. You get the coaches that go up in different times. You know you're ready to you ready to pack it in or send a team up in the road and it's like hey, can you, can you show up in my skates please? You know what I mean. So it's that type of crazinist but I think it's a benefit. Some people think it to hassle then you that's crazy is when you throw the forty different youth coaches, youth coaches that we have that are coming down looking for a helmet school or can you fix this ribbit? So it definitely is a it's definitely an asset, but sometimes it's definitely more of a hassle sometimes also. So obviously they're going going to listen to this. Yeah, and he's up that you have. They're going to call you out on so let's put you on this. Let's put you on the spot. Is there one coach that's more demanding than any other coach in the organization? Absolutely, I would say. Yes, there is, and he he's a new addition to our team and I'm going to call him out on this. Jason Boniser, a new addition, the associate coach for the teens in the sixteen he he comes over, he's the biggest advocate for the sixteen team, which is in the pecking order. The S or trying to at the bottom of the pile. No disrespect to them, but that's just where the cookie crumbles. And he comes over a lot advocate as an advocate for the sixteen national team. And then when I see him coming holding a couple of pears of skates, I know that he's coming to ask for them, because they're too afraid to come over and ask for themselves. But who a little. It's not demanding. I actually have a great believing a nod in this. This is the first time I could say this in thirty something he has I've been doing this. I have a great relationship with every single one of our coaches. They understand what my responsibility and what my job is. They actually appreciate it and they know that I'm here to help, not to hinder. So it's definitely a good staff and the if you really wanted to have a funny, great time, something that we could win America's funny home videos on, is the staff meetings, because I don't know how much stuff actually get to call posh, but it's definitely a comedy of errors during the staff meetings. So we I look forward to them because here it's time just it's time for me to do some new try out some new material, and it always seems to me it seems to be a great laughs when we have the when we have the staff meets maybe I'll come down from one of those meetings sometime in the future and just sit there and listen. Then brand and brandon. Brandon does the best one. As far as he loves he loves getting everybody together and we have a ball the obviously ike, Ike the...

...quiet when he sits in the background and just shakes the head. So you know that if I shake his head, you know we're doing okay. So that's that's the best time about it. You mentioned that the work that you put it in the offseason with the covid procedures and protocols that we're all trying to follow across the league. One of the big things that we've stressed at the league level is how every state is different, but we have to all be prepared and in overprepared in that. Yeah, obviously Brandon poally leaned on you pretty hard with all the locker room and of renovations as well, that you guys went through. So what was kind of the first order of business and what have you done to make sure that the players are staying safe in that end of the building? First and foremost, one of the benefits that we have of being here is that the building, along with Brandon and the chief staff, we have one of the NHL sanitizing machines. It's a giant sanitizing machine. I know in Boston we have we have what they call a medium size one. I know up in Boston. We have six of the large, large ones. And what it is? It's a machine that guarantees ninety nine point six percent bacteria cleaning and back area free and sanitizing the equipment. You have to buy a solution forward, but it we should fit three sets of equipment, which is everything except the steel in the skate. That does not go in the machine. Everything goes in the machine except the steel in your skates and deloaded in there. It takes eleven minutes. First and foremost, when the players came back, was to sanitize everybody's equipment when they got here and on to keep the rooms as clean as possible. Right now, other than the gaily stuff of the hand sanitizers and the you know, the wiping down the common areas on a you know, five, six, seven times during a p this. So when they go out, go through the room, go off for practice, we go through the room, wiping down all the hand touch areas and all that. But during the summer the number one thing was we were going to utilize that machine as much as possible. We had somebody come in its team clean the machine carpets. We got the special the liquid spray that some of the companies were offering to sanitize the locker, the Walker areas and the storage boxes. A lot of it had to do with just repetitious cleaning of the rooms, which we still are in a schedule today. You mentioned that Brandon look to me for a decent amount of stuff. Obviously one of the things that we demand and he's being followed. You know, very few incidents of a not being followed. Is the masks. We have a special machine in the hallway that Brandon bought that scans each player when he comes in. You step in front of it, it's scans your temperature and makes note of the temperature. Any player goes over ninety nine point nine, it sends an alert. We had an incident last week with one of the players had his coffee up next to his face and it registered. It registered one hundred and one point two. My phone went off. The Lad we have a covid coordinator, Mrs Mckinley, her phone went off in her house. Brand it's phone went off at his house. So the phone calls would just blistering my phone because they thought one of the players that tell you know his temperature was way up. But we we went and called our team protocol so that he had to check in four more times on the thing to make sure the temperature wasn't what I read. So Brandon Ike and the rest of the ownership group and this in the staff are pretty diligent about following the things there's going to be required to make sure that we're able to stay functioning and stay open. A lot of it falls on myself and I just I get here early in the morning and get all the cleaning that things that need to be wiped down. Like I said, we're laundering every day, so we're trying to eliminate or leash margin minimalize the amount of the chances of anything spreading. So I know that was a little long winded, but it's important that we make sure that we you know, we want to stay up and running, as does everybody else, and if it if it means me staying an extra hour or two, are coming in and an hour earlier, that's not a problem. It's all part of over going through this season. I'm sure for you, throughout your career in this side of the business you've never had to deal with anything like this before. I obviously asked you for a resume of sorts to kind of lay out all the different teams and locations that you've been. When you got into this side of things, the equipment manager side of things, did you tell yourself that you were okay moving all over? Did you kind of become my customed to it over time? I got when I got into this, it was it was by chance. Kid that was the equip that was doing, a high school kid was doing equipmment in Seattle. Barry Melrose happened to be the coach of the Seattle...

Thunder roads at the time, with a bunch of former NHL guys on that team. Chris Osgood was was a notable. He was playing on the team. Turner Stevenson was the first round pick for Montreal, some kind of guys, and I was at they were practicing in Tacoma at the time, where I was living in just it just gotten out of the military and the kid gotten a car accident and broke his leg and they were looking for somebody to help out and I happen to be there and I knew how to sharper skates and when I got into it and got got the bike, got, you know, the got bitten by the bog sort of speak. My goal at that time was after about six months I was like this is cool. I went to my first the equipment managers have something that that's called the Society of equipment, professional hockey equipment managers. Along with the trainers, which is called patch, which is professional hockey athletic trainers, they have a we have a convention every year where all the manufacturers for the medical supplies and anything to do with the equipment side came. So I met with the NHL guys there and I knew from that point on that my goal was to to make it to the NHL is an equipment manager, if that was at all physically possible at the time. From this is go back to eight eight hundred and eighty nine, with Seattle equipment managers in the NHL. Full time equipment guys were making seventy five two hundred thousand dollars a year. Yeah, now at this, now this, and now you know, around this time of the year the full time guy in Boston, Keith Robinson, is his salary is probably doubled that by now. So it's a good living at that level. But I just wanted the opportunity to be able to get there and I knew from that point on that was my goal and that's what I wanted to do. And it took a while. I got a taste of it, you know, very early in my career, but then I did I wanted to be able to run my own show, if that makes any sense, and that's why we bounced around as a family for a few years. My kids now are older and grown up and they thank me for, you know, them experiencing all the different parts of the country. But it took a while to get to achieve my goal, which I've, you know, been in the NHL twice with two different teams, and I was able to fulfill the ultimate goal back in two thousand and eleven part of Boston staff when they won the Stanley Cups. All that was an experience in itself. But yeah, I got bit by the Equipment Manager Bug really early and that's why I bounced around the way we did, I thinking that it was going to ultimately pay off, and it did. It took it took about twenty seven years to achieve the ultimate goal of being on a a winner, which a lot of guys have been in the NHL and from all the other teams and leagues never even get closed. So I feel very fortunate that I was able to do that. So you mentioned how that you bounced around. We're not going to list through every single one, but there's obviously there's obviously you mentioned Acoma, Nashville, Kentucky, Asheville, Corpus Christie. Is there a location that you went to? Not Going to say the you hated. Let's go on the other side of the spots. Absolutely hated one. Okay, dextus was the worst. There was two of the same owners, two guys that all the team's and Olpasso and Corpus Christi. Corpus Christy was nice because we were right on the water and it was nice and you know, it was a it was okay situation. They will building a new building the to be able to open like two years after we were there. But they went they had financial problems and by Christmas of the same year I was in I'll pass a rank was in the rink, was on the fairgrounds. So you Dozamboni go would open. All You wouch Mel was count the cows out back in the and fairgrounds. The apartments will literally up on a hill overlooking the border in the Warez Mexico. Yeah, it was a tough time. My kids were older, so they were in school. I wouldn't move back here if they wanted to give me a million dollar house in the hills. No Way, no, how. I don't even want to drive by there. Let a lot of fly over it. So okay, yeah, that one not so. And if you want to go in the opposite then other than the NHL, the Idaho steel has I was a equipment manager the first year they were there. I toured the the first time I toured the building was in a pair of construction overalls and the hard hat had a light on it. There was still under construction. I was there from the very beginning. When, you know, I thought the opportunity to design the stalls in the locker room which are still there today. The equipment room was the exact same soul. A little bit of a legacy, but Idaho was a great situation. It was a small city at the time. Obviously they've gotten bigger, but you know that we...

...had a good situation as if you want to go locker room style, the generals have a great set up situation up in Aliborough, mass providence. Obviously to being part of the NHL, American Hockey League, that type of thing. Being here now in Connecticut with the chiefs, I have done a lot of hard work with the with the help of Brandon and I can the rest of the ownership here, and this is a great situation for this level. But I've had a great time over the years. Like I said, I holy cross was a great experience of great opportunity. Paul Pole was a coach at the time. I mean the last few years that he was at Holy Cross and working at that level in learning about De one hockey and the I mean even though it was the whole you know, even though it's a small school, it's just an unbelievable experience to be around the entire college situation, you know, twenty six varsity teams and one equipment to equipment managers for the whole school. was definitely a challenge, but had a great time. I really don't want to knock knock any of the other teams that I worked law. I mean being in Seattle with Barry Melrose over the I mean just I mean Harry Melrose. I mean, come on, he was when I told people here's the first guy who works on professionally or got a check from it's it's hard to believe. So yeah, I've had a great time, but still can't compare to you know, I was born and raised in Boston, grew up in the north end. I'll bleed black and gold fill the JA. I guess right now it's coming in black and red, but it's definitely a black black and gold is still there for sure, and we'll have it with in red, white and blue when you're doing stuff for the league. Of course. Absolutely. I have a ball and I can't thank you enough. And it was so funny how this came about, because we were sitting in the restaurant the day that Brandon asked you. I jokingly said to him, Hey, they need an all stars they need equipment guy to the Allstar team, and Brandon happen to have his phone on on on speaker and you said sure, and that's how it happened. I tell people that know like, what do you mean? He's not? They didn't have many choices for an equipment manager. Solf I kind of won by the fault and what I like to tell people is, you know, there's so much more that goes into playing the actual games and while you know, Bob Do lessio may not get an assist or a goal or whatnot in the actual game itself, what You provided to our all star team last year you can't even put a value on that, and I think that, as much as the coaches in the players want to take credit for the one and one record that we had against those three college teams, you're just as much a part of that as well, and I think that we won a game in the large part based off what you contributed to the process. So that's why I was so excited the way that it all played out. I'm so excited to have you coming to this year is ehl Allstar classic as well. Obviously you were supposed to come to last year's frozen finals, which we had to cancel two weeks before, so hopefully we can pull off this year's frozen finals. But my whole point of making sure I had you on this podcast is so that people around the league know how valuable you know, an individual like yourself is to an organization, and hopefully it's a position that continues to grow for yourself and can grow for some other teams as well well. I appreciate that I really had a good time during the all star stuff. It was it was it was great to see the guys appreciate what I did. You know, just a little gesture road. Hey, everything's great. The fact that I got to do to all three backtoback in that in a few days, and then I was right in my old backyard where we where we were staying. I got to talk to a lot of friends that I haven't talked to you. So that was a great opportunity. Three, but the one thing that I was more disappointed about was missing the finals my Sotton, my son Rocco, who has been my assistant for me for years, even as a little five year old running around the locker rooms. He was going to come and be an assistant with me for the finals. I was basically moving my entire equipment room from here in Connecticut to Providence. Yeah, I mean we had so much things that we were looking forward to doing. We had we would as far as had a schedule. Me and my son. Okay, we're going to do this between this time, in this time and then set up this in this I mean these kids would have thought they had just, you know, stepped out of an NHL situation with the amount of stuff that we were going to be able to provide them and you and the League and the rest of the owners. We just wanted to put on basically a show to show them what the true meaning of being an equipment manager is or what we what services we've able to provide the player, not only the players but the coaches. I know you mentioned the Allstar Games. The coaches for the Allstar game came up to me and thank me for folding near track suits when they came to speak.

You know, the practice there were shocked that they had a room to themselves, that that was set up. I mean they'd never had anybody set them up, quote unquote, set them up for a practice like we get it. They were very, very appreciative all that. So that just got a little with admiration or a little admowledgement goes a long way. It's not company that we get often, but it's just I love what I do and I told Brandon the only way that I'm leaving here is that they're gonna have to carry me out of here and in a wheel bad. That's a great way to wrap things up. Obviously they excited to have you with the Allstar event this year and the frozen finals, because we're going to pull it off this year. So absolutely I'm glad I had you on the podcast. You always have some great stories to tell and thank you. We'll talk soon and keep killing it all right, noil, thank you very much, and again I want to thank you and the rest of the League and Brandon and night for having me here. Thank you. Thanks again to Bob Dulasia for coming on the podcast this week, one of the only comment managers in the ehl at one of the best. has a million great stories of all the different spots for he stopped across the country, from juniors all the way up to the NH shell. But with that, let's bring back the e crew and it was a good week. Guys. Some frustrations a little bit on my end. It feels like every time you take a step forward, we get knocked two steps back. Aka, they stay to New Jersey opens up and then the state of new hitsher closes. But we are still playing hockey games and that's all we could ask for right now. Yes, it is. Playing hockey is good. New playing hockey is great and let's hope it continues. We're going to keep our fingers cross, but great to see hockey back in Massachusetts, specially for us, me being a mask guy growing up and then obviously still doing a lot of work up a mass that was a very welcome addition and I'm sure our six teams would agree with us on that fact. It's amazing. I look at my broadcast schedule before this past week and it's like ABS, at ABS, at ABS, and then a day later it's Oh, Tuesday you're actually going to the wizards and then you're actually going to the wizards again here and then the wizards again here. So instead of standing on that Nice flat bench that I stand on at the avalanche, Jeff, have you seen what I stand on at the wizards, I have not. It says, oh, he has like a platform less. Well, it's similar. I used an extra last year because I remember you were saying it was. Yeah, like it's all wheels. It's on wheels, it's probably a good like eight feet up and it's like this like stanch and thing and when there's contact all on the glass, who I'm standing, the whole thing kind of just like shakes like this and I'm like holding it and the puck comes like whizzing by your face. You're like, okay, but great news. Whizzing? Yes, with key word. Yeah, I wasn't trying to buy your face, but hey, the wizards play the national anthem in backtoback games this this week, which is something that Freddie my are just never did for some reason. Corey, change is change, that, though, and it was the first time they played the national anthemen in five years. So like Oh deah time, yes, exactory, fully dy. Well done ordering America to have you been to a game there, though, or no? I have. Yes you. Have you met Jim the scorekeeper? I've heard a lot of stories about you in the Cork Jim seem probably in his late s or close to eighty at this point. Great Guy, but I do the live scoring because he just does the paper score sheet and the score board itself. And when, and he always announces the starting line up earlier than they come on. Line up to the national anthem and he announces the starting lineup. It's always like right when warmups end and no one's in the building. MMM, it's literally just like they all went on. They all go into the locker room and like it's just me sitting there and it's like, like we still have a good twelve minutes until they come out for the actual game and there's nobody out here. Some appreciate the passion. Gotta Appreciate The Passion Dedication. Big Time Wizards family. He like I may be a class like you. I mean, no, I'm closet, but he was great. Oh God, all right, left a hot start. So right, three minutes in rob the rails and this segment of off the rails have a weekly off the rails Shin. At this point we don't. You know, we do for that off the real segment. You can go find the sponsor for that one. Britt okay, all right, off the rails, gobviously, Justin. Rob Marletty, you want to sponsor are off theor els, I would say place. The start will be a wooster okay, or the Worcester rose am track. Yeah, some kind of train theme. Kyle, you're picking up and Jay Transit, I mean you let me know. And HMBTA, the run line is just going tonser it. But with that are anyways. Let' start making a way around the show. It's time for...

...this week segment of around the e show. And around the shows brought to you by the junior hockey podcast, your hope for junior hockey news, knowledge and nonsense. Check them out at tjh podcastcom. And we are going to start with the EH LP this week and I have had a great tax conversation going with Vinny Cal Jerry and Chris Rela all week because the power rankings list of the New Jersey Sevens above the New Hampshire avalanche, number one, then number two, and the Avalanche coaching staff does not understand how a undefeated team can be behind a team that has a loss and then in the power rakings, strength of schedule to play in. Tid that or write the schedule. What you've done lately, Chris, is a care it's a college football do these guys watch college football or now? That's what I said, Kyle. I don't know what year it was, but Clemson was undefeated one year but they hadn't played anybody yet and it just pounded all these seems. Sixty three to nothing and an SEC team with one loss got put ahead of them because they had played all sec school something like that. It's a matter of it's matter who you've played. Well, Serella went to Quinnipiac, but so did you, neel, so you understand. Like he goes. Well, you might as well next level hockey. Forget the sponsor. You're just going to start calling them ravens rankings, because you do whatever the hell you want. That's right, that's a fact. I go HASHTAG. Are Our actually kind of like it thing. I kind of like Ravens frankings. It's like a quick boom boom, but I go all right. So as the week progresses, the NFL, someone esp and our NFL, comes out with their power rankings and it's like number one, kandacy chiefs with one loss, undefeated teams and then packers in front of the tail of a buccaneers who just smoked them. And I'm like, Chris, look, here's what I'm trying to say. He's on. I still don't agree with it. The avalide should be number one and, for what it's worth, the avalanche should have been number one on the EHL also, Chris, oh clouds, now we need to pump the brakes for a second. The eighty seven up until today. We'll get to this. In the EHL segment. We're on the maybe crying little. We're undefeated for it. You were not undefeated, like there's. Well, we were into a hot goalie. So I had the factor at a hot goalie. About Chris. It's not the CERELLA hockey rankings, it's not the rabbit hockey rankings, it's the next level and your number two and each. I'm sorry, so plenty of time to climb on. Not Sorry, actually, well, yeah, I'm not sorry. Fine, all right now, I'm sorry. It's what kids? He is six, Oh, oh, his EHLP team with a plus seventeen go differentials. So obviously things going very well for that team. You work down the list from there. The Vermont lumberjacks. They actually got to play two of their three games they had scheduled with the valley junior warriors. This this earlier this week. Was that today? But that was the past two days. I might my days. I'm not sure about you guys like I can't even keep track of what day it is. I'm all jacked up like I just I have to look back at up, look at these references your chat. That wasn't attention. That wasn't intentional, was it? That was not actually, yes, I was thinking just just like Barnis like that was into the luck whizzing by earlier was not intentional either, but right with Philly for the wizards. The Wizards, that's what it was. And then so, therefore, one and one, there are four, one and one, the wolves at two, three and one, and the eclipse at to four and once. So everyone in that division actually has been able to play relatively around the same number of games. You work down to the central and just be recorded the podcast last. Every game in hockey is different. Am My opinion, and that's what I say is great about the sport is that you're never going to have the same exact thing from one night to the next. So when the Rangers show up in Biddeford on Saturday night and Samuel Booze makes forty three saves, that, according to the Rangers Coaching Staff, was like ninety three saves. And they went a one nothing shoot out, which I hope you all saw. I Know Brittany did the shootout winner for the eclipse P team. That was the time to see my if you didn't see my top play for the week, check it out. That K I done again. Game winner was gross. It's just just gross. But girls, good girl all was pretty good. Too Say, yes, great calls, very elevated. Yes, well, you could tell with the let's go home baby, like it was probably around close to midnight, like it's time to go home, like the game. He's but but what I what I find funny is, you know, I have to use the word upset there because it's an expansion, a new franchise against...

...a team that's won, you know, championships, regular season titles. The Rangers of the hlp level are a wagon. So the next day Robbins Wagon. That's you know what. Moving forward, we have to all say sea wagon whenever saying wagon on the PODCAST. We can't say just when black and sea wagon. There see absolute, they are absolute sea wagon. It was gonna love that a load. Both say I. I. Okay, good passes, but the next day the range is come back in one thousand and ninety two. It's like you kind of get for me, like it's nothing against clips, but it just it seemed right, you know what I mean? They were able to hold them off for so long one night the floodgates had to open up the next day. Yeah, absolutely, and when you've seen a team that usually that is the case to do. That's the beautiful thing about hockeys. After you have seen a team one game then the next game, usually you can kind of figure things out a little easier because you just saw them the night before. But the surface always comes into play too. You know, the ice can be good one night bad the next. US, the stanchions, the boards can be lively one night and not so much the next, and as a lot of different elements in the game of hockey. It's what makes it the best sport out there. Well, that makes me think of the Rodman Bounce, the rod men like that long owner and Rodman bound. Yeah, you know what that dounds is real. Have you been? You know that what we're talking about, right, Jeff? Yeah, Yep, like the kissed elate. Right, yeah. So, Kyle, have you been to Walpole? So there's you walk in, there's two ranks. On the right is the NHL side where they play all their games. On the left is the Olympic where we have showcases there. Every team complains I'm not ready to play on the Olympic side. That's why I thrived. I love the Olympic. Size thrived. I thrived and I was begging for Olympic when I was playing guys to turn the wheels on the other side. Some five hundred and ten. I'm not six to so yeah, I needed a ten. He needs it's the space. He'll so on the NHL side in the far corner away from the building, if you wrap it around the right way, it hits the boards and always kicks right out in the slot, Little Chink in the boards. The old man, the old rapper, Rouney Slot, step forth forwards. He's like, I'm ready and we all know that play. Yeah, when John Luser is they're like they won year, I want to say scored like three goals that way, and he was just like it's a step play. We run it. I was like, Oh my God, because you guys just make sure that goal he comes out of the net and it's wide open. When you know, you know. Yes, literally, when you know, you know. I love that. But then continuing on and speaking of top plays, well, I guess it's a little bit of Trivia in a way. I don't know if I even mentioned this yet. Did you see the second shoot out goal, the shootout winner for the chiefs? The chefs? Yes, and did you hear the call? Yes, yes. Do We know anybody besides me know who that is. I was that Alex Herman. It's Alex. so, when you're not, when you're not dressed as a goal weeate, you call the game. I was like let's go. He called a few. I want to get just get an intern chip. Yeah, Kyle, we actually called Games together last year at the showcase, at the piece who case as awesome. He was great. I was like his teacher per se, and he was great. I gave him I gave him the the keys to the Corvet or master Jim y night. He's a Padawan. It was awesome. Maybe feel old as hell, but it was fun. That was like, as Brittany would say, low key. That was low key at great showcase. Yeah, well, like I had a great I had a we had there were a lot of okay, there is a lot, a lot of coming. Like number one moment is like if you go to a hotel and you stay in that hotel for like three consecutive nights, on some point between when you park your car and you leave, when there's a snowstorm in the middle of it, you turn your car back on. HMM, okay, we were never there for shut we knew, though, we knew going into that that the Chevy had no chance that weekend or on the way. He had no chance that weekend. And it comes longer. She still made it. You made up so what a month ago? Yes, I mean, but it like it to use the same reports I've used before. It was pouring snow at one point, Sur Jocas, it was like it was cold. We want to see dinner with like Maddie and Terry. Everyone missed. Yes, he was. He was starting to look at a few potential players to move up from the EH LP to the EHL. Like the car, I couldn't even see in front of me it was selling so hard. Then you look at the actual showcase itself. Bunch of good Games. There was the Ryan Crane grangle, the control. Oh Yes, yes, jeff called...

...us. Jeff called about twenty seven goals for the Rangers in three days because they just kept scoring over and over again. Ryan Bailey, drew close, I'm lage, drew Cloh yes, so that was low key a great showcase. There was, you know, low key. Love that hotel there. I think PJ are average ten goals a game. That every game they won like nine too, for was baseball football scores all over the place for those boys. But we'll will shift up to the EHL. Now, just like their ehlp team, the avalanche, are currently in first place. How long that lasts will be interesting to see because when it comes to scheduling, with how much things are kind of fluctuating week to week. And now do Hampshire rinks closed Christmas, probably ahead of teams the avalence. We're probably ahead of teams and games. And now when you can't play and you have kind of a break here, which isn't at a bad time from because he'd already played seven games, there's a chance that some teams could start to play more games, and it's what's kind of tough to really tell right now, because I think that's what's going to make this year so hard. Unless every team is at the same number of games, we're not going to really know who sits we're until we get too closer towards the very end, because it's such an unbalanced number that you have a team that's in first that seven and one, and not to say that the wizards are going to automatically win their next three games, but if they do, there they're there. They're the same record as the avalanche. So we discussed up before. Might have to go to winning percentage, depending on if we can get everybody will play. We have confirmed as it wouldn't be winning regulation wins, know it. We would be doing the percentage of the points that you've earned out of how many you've could have earned. So winning percentage only factors in the games that you win out right, not the games that you forced to a shootout or overtime, as much as Chris Sorella likes to point out that even if you lose it a shootout or overtime, you still lost. Yes, you did, but you still got a point out of it. It's why I don't know. I don't think there's any junior leagues in our country that do do this, but we have discussed in the past. Three points for a regulation win, to for an overtime of shootout and then one for overtime of shootout loss, which I like. That idea, which what we actually to have in the round robin and Providence, because it if you would in sixty minutes you should get more credit than if you win in sixty four or or you know, I'm off first. Can I play Devil's at let's I want to hear. That was ring for Brittany. You go first, Berny go. No, I just remember the math we were doing the first year and Providence, because everybody was like there was like three people who are the same than everyone's like, oh, I don't know, W A. Two months I played you in your hockey. I have no clue what I'm doing and we're in gree that were to one and Oh, and they all had beat each other and they all be at the Rangers. It was a tough year for the Rangers, which is why I felt bad for the Rangers last year because they were at a really good chance to make it back to providence and make up for the year they went all three in Providence, but it came down into goal differential and since that we've changed it to account for while we've I think we've only had this is a good would have been our third year in Providence. Yes, but the trivia question is how many ehl games in providence in two years, because you've only been there two years, how many have gone to overtime? One? Who? No, one. One. I got right, that the flyer, that little flyers, Rangers. HMM. But but what was weird about that situation is the little flyers should have gotten one last point compared to the teams that won in regulation. But Kaya you said you had a devil's advocate to that system, so let's hear yeah. So I would actually like to see if you win two points, if you lose zero, who doesn't matter? If you lose, you shit out. If you lose zero, if you win, it's too so I think I shouldn't get it a loaded. That makes it a little more black and white. I think WORL will have less confusion and I think there's more on the line for the players to compete. You even if you're going back to back days and you're tired. Hey, you win, you get two points, you lose, sorry, zero. Would you eliminate the shootout at that point then? So would you make overtime longer? If you will, I would consider it. I think that's above my pay grade. Okay, so I don't make sense, so mack it. Ten minutes right, all minutes. Three on start with the statement that I am a true believer and if you went two points, you lose, it's nothing. I mean, look at other sports. In the NFL you don't get points for winning losing or, sorry, yeah, losing your absolute excuse me, just so. That's a hockey I get...

...it to an extent and I think hockey is almost more progressive that makes sense in some of the other sports. So let's we cut out ties already. What's cut out that extra point and let's do hey, two points for winning. You lose, BOO BOO gouts. If you, as we say in New Jersey, gots book if you, if you extended overtime to what I've noticed with three on three. Yes, we've had games go to a shootout, but I would venture to guess if we won season made overtime three on three ten minutes long, there would I would never take any any ten minutes. You'RE gonna player for flyners. You mean you're playing everybody? Yeah, I mean time that point I'm three. How many games go to a shootout? That point? Problem would be a minimal but I mean, like I called a game today that went too three on three and regulation because all these guys wanted to take penalties at the same time. Oh yeah, that's very rare. And I and a goal was scored. A goal was scored fifteen seconds in. HMM, of course. So, yeah, well, I'm trying to enter the penalties into my little ipad on my God God, I hadn't finished yet. Now there's a goal. Who scored that? I'm kind of call to given the same time I had was exploding and then my phone was ringing at the same time. So we're good. We work through it, though, but continuing on down, I said, avalanche at one Vermont. Their week got better, or the the podcasts week, if you will. I was having this conversation with Kyle. There's a difference between the League Week. That kind of goes. That kind of goes from Tuesday to Monday and then the podcast week goes from Thursday to Wednesday. But the League Week Vermont went up to Waterpool Valley. That's when they lost to the avalanche, to to one. George McMichael made fifty C is was terrific. It is that good. Crazy. Yes, Robert Barton Yellow scored his first EHL goal. Mario Son was the game winner and then it was like this, see points get, little brother get, which is why up for Kyle. It was frustrating for Kyle because that was part of this week in the league, but not the podcast week. But then you look at their next game and this bit, this is where I will it makes no sense. I love our lead because of this. So the next day you bring in Walpole, who at the time is o four and one and a justly here the train. I'm sorry if I runkin here at the train that I live next to. The translation that that's it is your mind to as I'm talking talking about the trains going by guy's mind mind alone. But they enter this game against Vermont having already lost in Vermont twice, the Rangers and the avalanche and the spartans and overtime and our shootout. Sorry. And you're like, the day that they lost the Rangers, that was the game that Eric Buckles started. got pulled after four shots and then they fought back in that game and then lost night two three. So you're thinking to yourself, all right, they're all four and one. Now they get Vermont again, a pissed off lumberjact team that just lost the close game to the avalanche. But then they go out and they shut out the lumberjacks five nothing like. Where did that come from? Nobody knows. Now I think I haven't Asut it is good. Kyle's going on perpet not. Nobody knows. Kind of professor. Mickey mckenny here, a wise coach, once told me that we're in a competitive hockey league and he said our league is like the NFL. It's any given Sunday and you're going there. It doesn't matter what your record is, who you are, if you're six and no, talk a big game, Yada, Yada. It's any given Sunday. So I'm a firm reliever in that from being in the League now for about a year and just I don't know. I'm looking at you now, you're like your your your grand I just I was well, I'm watching that score come in and I'm like, if anyone seen the movie any given Sunday were it really is like in the NFL? You just you don't know. So I think that's a compliment towards this league and the compete level. And, like you said, I mean you could be the Mani Quips and beat the Boston Junior ringers one nothing and then losing next day ninety two. Yeah, and, as Neil likes to say, Niel's fee, the amount of times you'll had to have said the word parody last year on this damn podcast was, which is truly and in five do last year was the year parody should last. I heard the word parody one more time, I think I would jump off of the roof of my building. That's a good sign. That Word Jeff. Should I hirt back? Yes, absolutely, all day, every time. Spell parody. Oh, I got anyway. Anyway. Anyways, that answers my what answers my shirt...

...back, but I can't spell it. Spell it right, break, oh, it isn't there. There's no, I don't want. This is like look, she's getting so ready or face. It's not. It's Pa r Oh d something. Why? I don't know. Moving on. So go to coach Bosso tells honey's next text me and says the Eric. But right, you ask, Oh, you fools. I need if I'd have a good beat button for this week's one. Anyways, wait, let this mother correctly. Good bye. Good riddens. So most text me and says this goalie is the goalie of the week. He gave up two goals on four shots yesterday. Jimmy, how do I get? I know he has a shut out today, but I they still count together. See Things Dunkin together. Fifty percent safe clip. That's not what we're looking for and say person and I gave it. I gave it to make my codey goes whatever. You had to give it a someone that faced us. I got what. I'm giving a compliment to your team. I'm telling you that a good a good goalie, stoned your teeth. That, if the goalie of the week played against you, I look at as a compliment. But he did. Did cody complained? No, that of he said that after losing nine hundred and twenty three, he went a little bit into psycho mode and so he bought Burger King instead of check for well, whatever, whatever he did, it worked. So Tim and just cody things so that that's Walpole right now, a one hundred and four no, and still kind of lurking there down at a ninth place. Better than that record. Still you ain't. The Rangers got back to work and since we're on this podcast last day, have won four games and hey, hire you doing? I don't know. There's still figure things out. All my God, and like, well, we be careful saying that, jeff all, that's right, Adam, holy and but, but everybody's favorite things out right now. The first time I see the rangers I look on the defensive out of the bench and they start coming on and off throughout the game. I'm like these guys are monsters. Yeah, I remember was toney that we looked on the wine chart that first time. Six five, six, six, six, four, six three. Saturday at this game. I'm going to be looking up at everybody. And then he's got broken McDonald. He's like sixpot. Both of those goalies one. Yeah, everybody on his team he's like it. Besides Melt Drugolo is everyone else is like over six feet. I'll skip it. I'll skip a few of these heights. But here's the tallest player, six to six, three hundred and six, four, six five, six to six, to six, to sixty, like what? And then you have the say. So rich where hunting for the tall kids and one for would they have was a day for sixty three. He was, though. Another bottom for would they had that was like six six. Kid was a tree, like had a they had a player on the EHLP team. Oh my Gosh, big Z was his eric. Eric's Zilt zelks right or big Z. that's how I got was like it was like hello, but I z. Oh my God, Holy Kiss, there's little but is he littally was probably still in his country because he can't enter. Carlos Reynasiba. I love best names. Love to have him to and now to he was small and and the big variety. This is what I'm telling you. Interesting this year because seeing that team twice now they're really good and there's still kind of like and like I know how good last year's team was, thirty six or thirty five wins, whatever regular season title. This team may be better. They're excited for Saturdy, like this team is really good and they're big and they're strong and everyone can score. I don't know, I guess you're not the goaltendings. Yes, like I was going to say, is that forgives that the question mark? Maybe, maybe, because you don't have billy Girard to go start forty games. Say, isn't that the weird thing too? They that's been the one constant for richest teams, like yes, number of years Egbert, and then you had billy Gerard and then now this is the year where you have the forwards very, very deep. They have more on the second line. Cook on the second one, like eat those first two lines. The guys on the second line could be first. Likely Rich is gonna very deep. There's two mores and he and like anymore a lot, no, no relation. FYE The game I was calling to express cow'm like Bailey's had probably some more chances than Malin, true clele. Maybe he'll kind of be be better at this level. And then Johnny comes down as like scoring chance, scoring chance. I'm like tease, okay, we're good, we're good. Guy. He's on the third line right. It's like third line right and he...

...that's a team that also, you know, they have only played five games to the avalanche has seven. But they win their other two games this week. All things are gone to equal their one losses in the shoot out to the avalanche regulation. Now they're in first place. So it's kind of tough with no games, to sit there after the avalanche and watch teams maybe pass you by. Understand you still have the same number of games left, but the Rangers early takeaways for me are this is a team that has the potential to be a Robbie Sea Wagon. So the going down from there. The East Coast Wizards. I called two of their games this week. The bound today after after the first game, I was like wow, the wizards look awesome. Maybe this is another frozen finals team after today. Maybe not. Oh, there comes back to Marco. Have two goals, yes, and we don't keep the FIG mass. High School get big. You can't keep the face loss with one scorekeeper in this league. There were two railers goals today that were like face off. One shockle was like any of his. One of them was his and they were four for six or four for seven on the power play, like big powerblay guys. And that was up first on win of the year for the railers and they lost to the lumberjacks. Five three Roier. This year they got show up, but the avalanche for nothing. They are I don't know if they have enough to make it a providence, but if the year comes to an end and you tell me they made a little bit of noise in the playoffs, I would not be surprised. They made a huge drive some last year sea coast. We thought about them already a few times on this podcast. They won a game in the playoffs last year before getting knocked up by the lumberjacks, but they're a different team this year. Was Jr and shoot black and Michael O'Brian. I got to see that deep hair in person. Two players are each nominated for the All star classic and they will both be there. They must have played twenty five something minutes during the game I saw against the wizards, but they were really good with the pock. They went D to be a hundred times moved well up ice. I think it's going to good. It's going to sound kind of strange. We knew how deep this conference was last year. I think it's even deeper this year. So it's gonna come down to those hosses. It's gonna come down to those last few points that people are going to look back and be like, I remembering one. I mean when we lost that like one game, like we said in the shootout in September, and they're going to be said the little we needed that one. Remember when Kyles of that we deserve zero points for that loss. We do deserve zero points. I agree. If you lose, get out by we'll see at CNX ten, ten years from now, we're going to laugh about this and we're like wow, we're ever the time. That Kid Kyle from New Jersey said this on a podcast and he was right. Yetta, you gotta like put like a pattern of some stort on it right now. So in ten years you could be just kicking back and saying everyone in the hockey waters using my idea and I'm rich now. Kyle's Kyle's campaign. No points for losing, no points for losing campaign. I'm honestly. I'm on Kyle's side, though, because you think about, think about life gets off the rails again, but you don't get real nick. WHO's your losing? You don't give me what's loser. Meanwhile. That's that's my quote unquote favorite. Sorry, Brittany, I know we always interrupt each other. I'm just a rude person and I don't mean to be. WHO's a rude perfectly, don't mean to be with a bag with a big smile like you go first, you go first. We know we're shifted. WE'RE SHIFTING DOWN TO KYLE's conference. Well, I shouldn't say Kyles hold. I take that back. We all have him. Bring of a Bandy of the seven, Brittany is. We can see jeff shirt tonight and kyle calls game one of the teams in the south. So I would say it's all of your conference. I'll take the north. Okay, right, me, frother Noor, Oh my God, that's what. That's what me and a cause, me and and ft n right, Neil fryce. Texted Neil that the other day. He goes what and then I just go like little from the north and he's like only meal from the north. Isn't that good? It doesn't. It makes a lot of sense being from Maine to hasn't been mentioned on a few podcasts here. So covering that back. But, Kyle, because now as we had back down to the mid Atlantic, let's talk about that game that you brought up in the group text and we knew we had to talk about today. Eighty seven's, the eighty sevens. I don't know how long I thought that when Instrut was going to go. I don't think it would have set. To set a new record would have been hard right. So I'm pulling up the the wit.

That was a special year. That was a unique here. I don't think that could ever be touched. The thirty straight wins the two thousand and sixteen seventeen little fires had but you look after that seventeen for the revolution in two thousand and seventeen eighteen. That was actually to start the season, seventeen straight wins. Avalanche the year after, sixteen, Rangers last year fifteen, and the junior flyers that same year as the little flyers, that was actually the junior flyers championship season. They won fourteen straight. Eighty seven's. Could they have gone that far? They were. They were at eight and we talked about how tough this league is and you look at some of their scores. It wasn't that they were blowing people out of the water. There were a few games in those first eight wins that they could have potentially lost. What's wild and one of you can I don't have the exact scores in front of me, but if you look up the first rough riders game with the Sevens, I want to know. I want to say it was nine to one and they're gone out, and then an overtime win for the sevens next time and then shootout when for the rough riders this time. So I almost look at that first game and just throw it away and say that was just a rarity. That's not coming back again. That's just first game of the year. Hey, hi, let's get it crossed though. That's what I would say, kind of like the bruins seven, nothing smashing. Was that those two thousand the opener against the capitals two years ago? Yeah, and then they went to the cup and lots of game seven. Say not better, not better, not still up. I'll be angry time, old and dead like that. But who are the Connecticut rough riders? Guys? I am no idea boxes saying this. For last two weeks they were off to a tough start. Did I gus all you've been banging on. This is more, buddy. This is a good hockey team. They're going to progress. I'm not taking any anything away from thens, no doubt. I mean you stir off the season six. Now Fu careful. Those things that I was at like, guys, then what's kind of sounded like, kind of spooky, like a Halloween thing. Okay, I like like now my cursed, but I don't know, given the circumstances, the circumstances this season and the schedule, you know, it's going to be tough to beat a team three times, four times in a row in a short time frame, and Connecticut seemed like a team that was on the rise. And timing is everything. Timing is everything in sports. Timing is everything in life and it just seemed like Connecticut again was due for when they have, what, two of the top five scorers in the league right now, Bella and Bonapane. Yeah, let's go. I'm ready. If there was a team that was going to give New Jersey trouble, I'm going to still stick with it. I'm going to say it was going to be Connecticut or with with the Philadelphia little flyers. Well, you're getting let's let's twitter today, Kyle. I was saying twitter today, Kyle, you were saying that Adam Foss got the right. The rough riders do the the helmet right, that's the Oh yeah, big guys. He started figure things out. We all agreed that they can put pucks in the back of the net. It was a matter of can they not allow of sobody pucks out of the back of their net, and I foss keeps doing what he's doing. That's a winning form. You'll watch out. Absolutely I agree. And and they lose the opener against the chief seven, two, three, and then the sevens, that nine to one game. But since then loss of the eight, seven, six, five and over time beat the little flyers for three, beat the ducks six to one, lost the ducks in that Weird Eight hundred and twenty four game and they gave up all of those major power play goals and then the empty neck goals, and then they've beat the apple core nine six little flyers for two and eighty seven's forty three. So in a way they've been kind of quietly to Kyle's police snive, been I didn't say that, for two weeks now. I'm like, Connecticut, keep your eyes, peel along them. Sorry, you know, it's find and and they're they're currently sit in third place with eleven points. This is quick math for me right here, the same number of games as the as team Maryland, who has one more win and one less loss. Kyle, you called those team two games of tween between team Maryland and the protect ducks. Both that are needed log in the regulation to find a winner, and it feels like I'm not going to ask the same question that I had the last few weeks. It kind of feels like the eighty sevens are still the top guy and then it's you say rough riders right now, but it's like Maryland, rough riders, ducks, little flyers, they're all kind of bunch there together. We're still learning a lot about...

...the chiefs because they've only played three games and it's a bit a little bit of a struggle so far this season for the Apple Corps. But maybe the chiefs went a few games here also, and now that bunch is from two to six in that conference and I just want to see if somebody emerges from that group or does it stay tight like that kind of all year along? I mean my first guess is it's going to stay tight like this all year long. I mean, when you think about Maryland, they come in, they win two games on the road backtoback days. You know, technically the first two home games at the pond. Come on, guys, the pond, wholest name in hockey, the book, the darkest place of our set pon the new lights well, because that place comme either way. AVERROL Maryland. I've talked to numerous coaches around the weak and they all say the same thing about team Maryland. They're tough, they're tough to play against. They may not be the most talented team, and I know they have a guy who scored a hundred career goals and his hl career, but den either way, there are a tough team and in my opinion, they almost kind of play like a playoff hockey mentality all year round, if that makes sense. How is the how is the broadcast location there for you? Fine, we'll have to stay on the pedestal like I look a look like us. Yeah, look like a great spot over everything. Yeah, I live a happy life at the pond. Good. The palm just needs to not be so dark on light. That's why one one play about the palm. I mean docks have one of the best logos in the League, Best Jersey's. I mean, I can continue, but a team Maralysos, overtime losses, that's all very, very impressive. And I have to speak about protect to talk about talent on offense. PROTEC is very talented on offense. It's just a matter of figuring out their defense and familiarity. You know, it's a new team. They have depth between it, between the pipes. So keep your eyes build on them. I know I'm not being biased and point my pain at you guys to at the camera. Not being biased, because they do they they have something there. This kid, Spencer quint is a heck of a skater. I mean nothing, nothing. He going is like you call I see. Yeah, we have profane words today. He's one of the best skaters I see the league in a long time. Spencer Quinn, keep your eye out from number forty three, very shifty. What Year it's he? Is He a JR DO Z? I believe it's no one. All right. So he's a average easy youngster. He's not like an old one that was like Yo, that, you're stucky. You have one more. Yeah, any always kneel. Can I progress on this? Yes, so protect you lose backtoback overtime games and you lose those for a reason. So they're going to figure that out. But then give credits to team Maryland and then they go back to Philadelphia and they lose backtoback games to Philadelphia. A little flyers too sure of that. Contest one and five. So five arty interrupt meting of let's go. Five straight losses. A little fires. If you go back to last year's players and it's weird. Do they have their number like? I don't know which. I'm confused about too, because, like I just said, I was just tooting Maryland's horn about how tough they are and they're a good playoff team in the little flyers play a similar style, but both contests were what, one goal games and their divisional foes right when you see that in the pro sports all the time. Look at the Patriots in the AFC east. They once in a while get knocked off by the dolphins of week seventeen and I don't know, maybe the little flyers just have that about them with Maryland. Maybe they do have something figured out with the way coach bus go strategizes his team. I don't know, or could just saw it's I saw resilience from team Maryland and I saw resilience and some sort of relentness factor from the little flyers when they played team Maryland, which made both those matchups very entertaining to watch. Any treaty, I will say hope. I think they're a little flyered up, if I've well, let's let we'll talk flyers now, because it's almost like its own segment of this podcast. Right with with Jeffords. My incidental CHIRP turned into like well, well, it's funny. Is like, obviously I got your address from you just to confirm and then pretty help put the whole package together. Theaters done. They're kind of in a weird spot though here they started playing well lately. They have an upcoming home and home series with the protect junior ducks, and part of that home and home, Kyle, the first game is at the pond. Did you say ponder ponds plural? I called the pond the...

...pond. They above is one. Silly us. Anyway, when the serious ships back to ice works, you're going and you have a special it's almost like a special fast. This week. Yes, I will be their own Wednesday. So I'll be there Monday and Wednesday. Little Flyers, protect ducks, willams, Tom Williams for Dud Tom Williams is electric. I can listen to Tom wilmos on cast all days. Use For we're fortunate. We have a lot of guys who do a great job in this. He has a podcast. Are brought a broadcast, broad broad in front, my favorite word, broad like anyways. But what do you what are you doing at the game at ice or s getting complex and ass don't what do we not want to tip off the crowd of this yet there is a potential video feature where I do a cheese take review from whatever the pub is called. They're actually does they have a name? I pod, yeah, it does. It like worries or something. A cheese steak review. I'm in for this. So Jake with with an ire post game we're going to eat cheese stake. You get together, we're going to review it, because I gave him the nickname was with and all of a sudden, yeah, I appreciate the little flyers very engaging over social media to it does if this is a potential video segment. I expect more invites from other teams to review your staple food, whether it's the wings, that cheese steak, the pizza. Come on, we all know. I know the pizza here in Jersey. Yeah, no, no, no, booble guts with with Jake, with with is Jake Frankenfield? Yes, who make? I found the back. Then a couple times after I picked my fantasy and just yeah, yeah, Frank's on fire. So I'll floor defense. I'll be at the game Monday at the pond and then Wednesday I'm traveling out to Aston Pennsylvania. Can Watch the game, enjoy myself and then do a whiz with review of a cheese steak with one of the little flyers players. So excited for that. We mentioned the great memories of you had at the Worcester showcase last year. The last time we had a showcase at Ashton, Britty decided to spike her phone the ground and and then we got kicked at the ends to war am and then like one of the kids on we're sitting. I don't even think you know the story. I'm sitting in Catchron's off is just like having a day, like there's vibing and this kid on little flowers, whose name I will not expose. He's like barns into the office and he's like my car, gods stolen. In this kid's car straight up just got like stolen. I was texting catron about the other day. It was pretty funny. And the kid got like a way nicer car and I go working the system and catch Ron's like I think that's just a nice way to say committing fraud. But yeah, it's like, oh my but the moment was really her phone, because we actually had just arrived when she's like you pulled in jacket on top of the car and then she pulled the jacket off on the phone just smashed and it's like welcome to the show ca you hate to scme to ast. That is not good for the brain. A horrible I I like illegally download, like snatchat unlike the IPAD, because I was like, I need to communicate with human beings, hell and and with snapchat. We will transition into our what to watch for, which of course, includes the e crew fantasy challenge. Before we wrap things up, here's what to watch more this week in the east show and it's time for the e crew fantasy challenge, brought to you by BERTUCCI's brick up and pizza and pasta, your home for authentic Italian dishes, catering and group dining. Check out their party pizzas and specials. Epper too. GEEZCOM and you can keep talking, pretty because it's still your turn to pick. You had nineteen points this past week with you're all eighty seven's lineup, which really isn't a bad week. It just that Jeff and Kyle had really, really good weeks. So I come a win coming in was sixty nine point four weeks. All you use all he is one of those thirty point weeks to really get back in this thing. Who are your petting? That? This is the week. All right, I have like power play enthusiast Tyler Bona, pay for the Hassas on at forward, and then was yourn shoe, POC TUPAC At d like, come on, kids, I'm the the power play is to be electric. We need to be lighting up the power plays, like let's go, this is what I need, like, kids, come on, please, I could have God to be needs...

...you does. They each play three games and I feel like, out of the available humans, which was everyone in the league, because I picked first, I really like I had to do it. It was those three that each play three games, that was my deciding factor and the more role. I know I had to do it. And then in goal, no eighty seven players this week. It's a it's shocking. I know. I'm so sorry, pils, but we have broken McDonald as a tip from my boy dcaps with Vjr. So thanks, rich for picking my goalie. I appreciate you. A little forty point a week and we're right back in things like come on, the power player, just a little forty plus Yang, like five minute majors, let's go at, not on the chiefs or the sea coast. The team's on the other hand, come on, throw some Malbow's cross checked them. anyways, Yang anyways. Anyways, we're don't get done violence. We're kind of, come on, just gonna be heated. I actually found a way to sneak just ahead of Brittany is passed nineteen point four points for this Manhun. I had to change my forward because I found out that the day before conner ball played for Maryland, he actually broke his finger in practice. So I changed to Vincent Marias, which luckily I did. He still had three assists. Lucas Terran. I didn't get any points for the fight that we do not condone, that he started. And then rattles Alech, who I love it at the wizards game there day was warming up and I was on the Sea coast bench and he comes over and he's like, I got you points with for that win right. I was like yes, you did, like thank you, you can go back to warming up for your game now. But he will you Jack, squirting me with the water bottler. Yeah, but and today and to the get up Jack Johanson. It worked for the wind yesterday, but only nineteen point four points for me this past week. So trying to turn things around this upcoming week. My inside, inside sources said that golf buddy hit, same birthday too. I'm sure you knew that. Zach Simon at forward for the Wallpule Express. Dylan Gudierres at D from the New Jersey seven. Oh, we already talked about Adam fost once on this podcast, playing very well in net right now for the rough riders. Those for me, just saying. I was going to yes, well, Jeff, when, well, when you finish first for the week, which almost was second with a late statue's but regardless, it's Kylos turning to make his picks, starting between the pipes. Go with my main man, not nel Rabin rain. Patricia Plays Gold. What? Yeah, that's crazy. I'm getting sued. Very Kinda PRIMAC he and new man. I mean this guy sees fifty shots a game and he stopped in for hundred and forty nine. And how about can we just talk about means jerseys, by the way, I mean bold. They're growing, but awesome behind a letter. Yeah, they're growing on cloors like the Lime Green, very brahma. Maybe the seahawks hockey clip and take notes. I'm not chirping anyone here. You got bills and a body. Oh, scary man, Bill. We got to talk about. But bill was not a happy man today. Yeah, feel like that's like most days. Bills, just like I do money. Who I need leaf better uniform, so to tell you. Gerard. Mike Tyson, Connecticut, Jie, let's go. New Name to the PODCAST. Dared Mike Tyson. Love it. He's unwell, how does your making phone cut out? What I always say, if you can't laugh at your own joke, nobody can, and Kyle is enjoying that one right now. So Mike Tyson, score some goals for the chiefs this week. All right, Jared Tyson? Yeah, Hey, look at defense, being your few assists and just minimal amount of games. I've confidence that he's going to produce this week. And then up front on offense, back it's back. We're going with Mr Quinn from the PROTECH junior ducks. This is the duck thing. Come to games with you gets a good question. I was going to ask that. If they can have we time or a shootout winner, that has to come out. Kyle. Would the whole team or should they get one of these things? Yes, but when I'm broadcasting the game, you know that you brought you called the goal. You call the goal, you get a good five seconds afterwards and right before we're about to sign off out there. So youff, I know we stole some of your...

...picks, but that's what happens when you finish first for the week. Okay, it cooled up, you know, with the players that you pick. This past week it was really, I think, a combination of Ryan Bailey, who's having an excellent season, and, of course, your boy David Roduzi, winning two games from Vermont, helping you, helping you to the best week of the of all four of us. So who do you have this upcoming week? And don't forget about Curtis Birthright he gave me. Do we ever fix that? Assist, by the way, to coach USCO over some I am still waiting on the statue lading, which has to for all the players listening at home. Has To yeah, listen up to this one, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, it has to come from the coaches. Okay, me and my man, courtesy, start following on instagram. Very very kind young man gave me a nice message, told me he thanked me for picking me and he wouldn't let me down, and he didn't. He get me. If you assist to. So it wasn't all over doozy and it wasn't all right. Bailey Curtis gave me some points to just want to give them that little shoutouts. Thank you, Curtis. But yes, going into this week, so we'll start off with a forward position before I work my way backwards. Just saw this young man this afternoon, Marcus Cook, for the boss of your Rangers. Nine points in the last four games after having just one assists in that opening game, to game winning goals as well. So trying to look for Marcus to stay hot in the score sheet. He had a goal against the seahawks hockey club and that for to victory today. And now to the defenseman and the goal tending. So I know we're probably not using video for the podcast. You won't be able to see it, but thank you to one a low, Aka Anthony Larusso. I got my little flyers verse everybody t shirt that was mailed to me, along with a little flyers logo decal, because those boys got real flyered up after old Jefferson. Meek Mills, my new nickname. Pretty cool. I like it. Actually meet mills, big rapper from the Philadelphia area, and now I guess me and him have something in common. So I'm going some little flyers this week. They get that home and home against the protect ducks. Is Neil talked about earlier. So let's go with Ryan clear as my defenseman. He's already get two goals to assist for points and eight Games got a couple points on the power play, three points actually, so he's got a few points in the powerplay. And then we're going to go in net with I hope should we should ask Alo in that quick facetime we did. No, no, we should ask them if he was definitely going to go with Mr Jacob Kubik. Well, yeah, no, I have a feeling she's are in two wins and their three. That's what I was thinking, Kyle. He's the hotter, hotter of the goaltending bunch that they have there. So we're going to go with the Checker polk native, Yakob Kubik. And then, just to Rehire up, we gat part up the overall standings. I'm still on first, but the lead really has hi lunk. I'm at one hundred and fifteen, one eight, and then right behind me Kyle, one hundred and thirteen, point six, jeff at one to eight point six and just getting hot right now. Alex said at sixty nine point four. Brittany, I guess, said I solid. Forty Point Week this week, thirty next week. You're right back in it. Just need two solid now. Come on, Hawsens, just forty point week to see wagon weeks and you'll be fine. So now to see wagon, Robbie, see you at weeks. Hey, the parody offers room for opportunity. So we're we're there. I'm ready for the hosting fun. You just very it was a very educational podcast this week, Guy, so thank you for that very much. Very big a parody. Correctly, the plays on the the hope, of course, is that by this time next week, fingers crossed, will be able to gain gain back the state of New Hampshire and everything else. Knock on wood there are any other changes, because it does feel like it points this year we've taken a step forward and then two steps back. But regardless of what's going to happen, we're going to keep moving games around to make this season happen. That's the big messages that I have told everyone that has interviewed me on their podcasts or as asked me to. I got asked to give a few quotes for a story for at for a college this week, so that was a little bit different, but regardless, that's the big messages that we're really trying to say is, you know, no matter what's what it takes when to keep pushing, keep driving forward, and while it maybe that we're taking, you know, a smaller step each week towards our goal, and only what a year ago, we're eventually going to get to that final finish line, which, hopefully for all of us, will be in Providence. Fingers Cross. We need that be a Marcharl. That is way far way to think about. Yes, but we're going to start talking a little bit of playoffs stuff here soon, because I think we need to conquer the All star events. Yeah, before any thing it's spoken off. You mentioned that, though. Every point is critical, so we're we want to make...

...sure we have an idea of how things are starting to shape up, because you can see how fast stuff can change. And all four sets the standings are, sorry, five. I got the three divisions in the EHLP and the two conferences in the EHL. So thank you, guys for this, as always, great episode of the e crew other full week coming up in the east.
