This week's episode is brought to you by Hockey Tech, developers for the new e h L app, available now in both Apple and Google stores. And with that, let's bring in this week's E crew. Jeff and Anthony. We are all recording from different spots this week. Are really just Jeff, Really just Jeff, Jeff. This is an incredible office you have going on right now. Can you just from right outside the world historic Matthews Arena. It is a historic artifact. Joe Berton, you will tell you this was Boston Arena some years ago, original home of the Bruins and Celtics. I am in my car right outside cause it's been a little bit of a zoo here today. We have Northeastern women's basketball's home opener, Northeastern men's basketball versus the Harvard Crimson tonight, and That's what I'll be doing after we finished this recording. So I'm recording for my car because the show. I love you and I will do anything for you. Sig you do it all man, I try buddy of course you can imagine Jap if we're on a Northeastern jacket. Um as you also can imagine I'm wearing something about Tom Brady, which is kind of just common both of us. Anthony, can we can you read aloud what your shirt says? Though, since everyone at home can't see it? Okay, I don't always scream at my television, but when I do, it's hockey season. Yeah, so for those who can't see at home, Anthony has like twenty two words on his shirt. Neil's shirt Brady one word. The contrast with your two shirts. It's great buzz, good uniform US today. And I would say with that, let's jump into we play run down. It's time for the eat Cruise Weekly Rundown. The show Weekly Rundown is brought to you by DID Junior Hockey Podcast. You're home for junior hockey news, knowledge and nonsense. Check them out of TJ podcast dot com. So, I really we talked about division races every week, and I think every division is compelling on the ne but after what took place this past week, there's no debate that the North Division is the toughest division right now. There, you can't debate it. Anymore. It's easily the toughest division. They just want eleven and one combined at the Showcase. That's unheard of. Alright, que the que the end of the show sounder, and we'll see you guys next week. That's it. That's all it needs to be said. I mean, sorry, South, I mean, numbers don't lie, right, Anthony and Neil, Numbers don't lie that you just said a eleven and one. Uh, and just look at the race itself. The Avalanche now number one. Chris. We're so sorry that we didn't talk to you about you guys enough. You made your point unnoticed. Eight...

...hot kiss love you, absolutely love you to thank you for all the points that you've got. Me and Commissioner rabbing this week six goals for USS. I think it was the final Showcase total Neil and uh and then six to so they leave Showcase play after having a great Showcase weekend, an unbelievable come from behind victory. Uh. They made me look a little smarter than I really am saying what to watch for? That was my second one to watch four game. First one was Apple Core Wolves, second one was abs Uh Ducks, and I called the entire game that was. I think Chris might agree with me. The first twenty five minutes we all saw him as he came up right neil Um. I can't tell you exactly everything that Chris said after that, but I think that was some of the worst twenty five minutes of hockey that UH. This year's Avalanche team played. Give them credit. They came out storming in the second after giving up three what I would call very shoddy goals that I think Perema would want to have back, and they went four three against the Protect Junior Ducks, the second best team in the entire league. That was the battle for first UH, and the Avs end up taking it for three. That was probably one of my best games I think of the h of the weekend. We had a ton UH and actually that went to overtime too. I forgot that was freaking That was an overtime game because the last day we had five out of our nine games on that last day went to overtime, and I think I had three out of my five costs went tote. So a lot of fun, a lot of fun um. I mean, I guess what stands out to me if we know how strong the Avalanche have been you know, this being their sixth season, right, never before have they been sixteen three and one. This is their best record through Like that is like they've had some good teams soon, right, But sixteen three and one and then the team in second place the Walls of fourteen wins, and the team in third place after the weekend finishes, the Lumberjacks with thirteen wins. Both of those teams would be leading any other division if they weren't in the North Division. About that, About that, it will put in an air quotes that last place team does siccos Spartans eleven four and two. He WoT twenty four points last place. Well, it's interesting too because the Spartans coming into the Showcase where I think they lost four straight. They had two regulation losses I think too in overtime or the shootout, and then they end up sweeping the Showcase. Yeah, I mean is a different it's a different piece. I know you didn't love the the overtime winner, Anthony, and we haven't posted the top place yet, but it's coming. But the goal that Carson Whitman scored, man like there was not a lot of room over the over the shoulder of Klas fan for for that game winner. No, I saw that too. That was I mean, we talked about it in last week's podcasts. I went to a friend's wedding shout out to the newlyweds Andrew and Rebecca Smedbergh. Sure, I'm the only one in the league that knows who they are, but giving the shot that shout out in anyway, but in excited Yeah it was great. But uh, the day before that was when they uh they wanted for the eight seven is lost in overtime. I'm all over the place right now. Yes, that was a very good shot. I thought it was a very hard fought game on both sides. I know the eight sevens had a couple of chances to early in that overtime, but then it was a costly giveaway in their own end. And h was it William Pray who took the puck away? He was the one that got the steel and set up the game winner. I believe so, yes, So, I mean just not a guy that you can turn the puck over to. And Jeff mentioned the overtime games. The data I want to highlight the most is really day two. Um, when you look at just the score is right four to three, one four...

...two, four to one, nothing to wanted to shoot out to nothing three one, three, two and overtime. Every game on Day two was decided by two goals or less and yeah, and day three Jeff mentioned the overtime games, and there was a couple. There was a couple of games they were a little bit further apart. There there was, you know, a three goal win, a couple of three goal wins and whatnot. But for the most part, there wasn't a game with more than you know, a four goal victory, right, which just shows you that, yes, we're gonna leave this podcast by by saying that the North is the North, right, But really, the league, the league is the league right now, like the league is like you have to show up, really, you just have to show up. I mean, like every game had its own different storyline, and like, look at the Maryland Rhode Island game. Maryland's up to nothing, hit the break, things feel, things seem good. They lost that game to Rhode Island in overtime. Every game you have to finish it in showcases fifty minutes, but in regular season sixty you have to finish it from from the moment you dropped the pot to the to the moment you've had because there's important points in the line. And I know we're not talking playoffs too much yet, but little things like that are gonna add up. And the rough Riders are like the best example of that. Neil Right and Anthony Um. I mean two of their games went to overtime. Their first game they lost four too. They put up a good fight against the Wolves, and they are technically again Stevie Brown, Eric linne we love you guys. I'm not saying this in any malicious way. There are you know, worst team tied with the Value Junior Warriors with just thirteen points on the year, but a team that has Dallas to motto here and Shaun guys that are going on the All Star Game, Guys that are difference makers. Um, they pushed hard that they were a couple of bounces away from being two and one. On the Showcase Weekend, the shoot out, I did the game against the Seahawks, Yeah, I did that game that was they had a cross somebody hit a crossbar. I think it was Laski your chunk. Somebody hit a crossbar and O t or the end of regulation. So just that right there. They were just a mere few inches from winning another game. So yeah, I mean when you're quote unquote, I know, we can't see this. This is a radio version your worst teams, the Warriors and the rough Riders. The Warriors pushed the New Jersey seven on the final day to o T you know, so that just shows you right there, like you said, Neil, but it's not it's a very deeply even your bad teams and air quotes are not bad, all right, And you're just saying that based off the fact that they have the fewest number of points. But it's crazy how things can just flip. Because the Seahawks were in that spot where the Warriors are right now and there are a second place team now. They just want to get in today six to taking that showcase winding streak into back to where US season play. There are one point behind the Rangers. It's it's really for first It's funny because there have been some consistencies throughout the season, but I feel like we learn more and more every week above this league. And it's like, keep in mind that when when I bring up how much every point matters, at some point, I know I meant I just said this, We're not like, we're not really talking about playoffs yet, but at some point we're gonna have a division winner in each one of these divisions, and one of those division winners will be the one seed, one will be the four seed, and that's your matchup in Providence best at three series and then the same thing with with two verses three right three again? Oh, Neil, you gave us a gift. You know how that's gonna be a blood bath. Yeah, you know how. You know, all the sports books have like their their odds on on who the super Bowl champion will be and whatnot. Like, imagine if we created odds about what the matchups will be in Providence. But could you even predict with the most likely you know, one four or two three matchup is right now? No, it's so impossible to even predict. Like we said this week, you...

...know, if Providence was today, right, you're you're one four matchup would be Avalanche versus Rangers. Guys have no clue out with the other players. Oh wait, yes, and two and two three is Ducks versus Railers, And it's just kind of like crazy, right, Ducks and Railers came into the league the same exact season and now they're both went leaving their traditions. So I mean the e h L man, it's just it's it's funny how the abbs and flows of the season. Um can just take teams on these wild rides, you know, on the flip side of a team like the Seahawks who have gotten hot here. Um, we were hyping the Apple Corps going into the Showcase, and obviously things didn't go well for them with the Showcase, but it didn't really change where they are in the standings. They're still in the same exact spot. Yeah, yeah, they did. They pushed the Wolves a bit. They gave him a little bit of a run for their money. I got real physical, real chippy is Showcase games usually do guys playing three straight games in three straight days tend to get a little tired and get tired of one and the other. Um, but yeah, I mean they lost three games the Apple Corp did. That was another one to watch. Four game I gave you guys last week. Um and the Chiefs, I mean they lost another Speaking of other teams that UM have kind of flip flop. Sorry coach Haff, we love you. But yeah, I mean they got cold at the best time for the Railers and the worst time for themselves because now they find themselves, um in second and they're now technically tied twenty two points apiece. Railers do have a game in hand against the Chiefs. But um, I mean, look at that Central Division landscape. That's changed quite a bit from the last week or two. So you said, you know, it's it's a matter of it's changed a week to week, but it's changed a day to day. I mean, go head onto our new fancy Eastern Hockey League got oorg website, hit the daily schedule button, and just have yourselves today. Any One of my favorite parts about you is you're always watching right that goal, the Lumberjack score. We haven't posted top place yet, but that that's the number one player, right, it has to be. It has to be. I wish I gave Victor Danielle more credit for the amazing chopped down and still got the pass off. I was more focusing. That's why it was so funny too, because I just tuned in to watch that game on Hockey TV. I'm like, oh, let me see how this Lumberjacks game is going, And of course I see Danielle going up the ice from his knees, he dragged it between his legs to slide it across to Jackson Collins and he just shoveled it right over the glove. I'm and I think I even said the group chat with Neil was like, you, that was a gross goal we had. That's that's saying that his favorite, uh favorite compliment to the nasty slippery moves by our boys. You well, it was funny. It was funny. I think it was a pe game for the eight sevens where Chris Russo was talking about from the bench because he heard the eight seven players saying that when one of our guys made this great play. So I'll reiterate it here. I always choke with the parents around Thanksgiving time. You know, if if you're hockey playing, child says it were gross, referring to the cooking. That's a compliment because he usually refers to something good. Um. So, Anthony, when you when you put that T shirt on and you scream at your television, is it always in a negative way or like do you see a goal like that and then you screaming like in a positive one? I mean the New Jersey Devils have been playing very good way. Now, okay, good for them, Well, yes for broad baby, give me a broad of Yes, there we go, um flipping over to the e h LP. Actually, but before we do, I didn't mention the North Division going eleven.

One also should point out a couple other teams that swept their weekends of the games, the Wizards and the Seahawks, maybe two teams that we at one point said, who are they right? But just making the East even tighter. Um. But then I want to get over to the e h l P as well, because there were teams there that swept the weekend, you know, in the same way. Start with the host team. The Valley Junior Warriors won all three of their games, and I think quietly climb their way into the power rankings. And they kind of said like, hey, you know, the Railers and Rangers are being talked about as the top dogs in this East Division, but we're gonna be there too, and and and it's nothing against the Seahawks are the express that that trail them. But those top three teams, man, like that battle in the in that Boston Division, in the e h l P. Um, it's gonna be fun. To watch the Boston Division. Everybody the Boston Division, not in New England Division will be taking sponsor money in the offseason to see who wants their name on those divisions. All jokes aside. Yeah, that was another game that I got spoiled with. That was the opener on what day was that Saturday open game? Saturday? Yes? Yeah, And that was the first time I got to see uh, coach for Koski's aderan deck Junior Thunder love those jerseys and their fans travel well. I had a whole slew of fans next to me to my right. Uh. They were cheering on the boys from start to finish. And that was yet another overtime game and it was Sean Lane. I believe they had the game winner, which who he was just named one of our players of the week except rats to him Pott in that game winner. That was a good game and coach Heigel has a pretty good bunch with those value Juniorriors. From me, I was the first time I've seen them this year too. That should be Uh, like you just said, you know, that's gonna be a fun race, much like our North Division in the e h L. I think that Boston she called New England Division again. The Boston Division is gonna play out, and uh, I think that's gonna be a race to the end. Um. Yes, Sean Layne was the flour of the Week in the e h l P, scored the game winning goal on the Goalie of the Week in the e h l P. Who we gave? We gave that the Hodgins and I didn't even realize what he has for a record right now. His record is seven one in five. That's a pretty that's a pretty ridiculous record, right because we go get him over the East Coast Wizards, Well, well, there you go, Jeff, the Wizards with the record of of eight seven and four. You want. Adirondacks record is eight eight three and five. So they're kind of like they're they're kind of like they love to play over time. They haven't come out on the right side of the overtimes of the shootouts. But I mean, to Keian Hodgins credit, he's an O five with a record of seven one in five. It's like Kevin Wright was to the Seahawks last year's No. Five our youngest player in the h l an h l P. Good for them. I mean, that's and the thing about Adirondack too, is that, yeah, they have a lot of overtime losses, but they're going head to head, toe to toe with every really good team in the e h L P seven, the Boston Junior Rangers, I mean, they're competing with every one of them, the Pennsylvania Huntsman too. Yeah, And it's just so fascinating that there is the chance that we could see two expansion teams maybe playing in Providence. Could you make the case, Anthony, that what Adirondack has gone through almost makes them quote unquote battle tested mm hmm in what way like so that when we get to the playoffs, and you know, in the playoffs, if you go to overtime, it's not five minutes that goes up, it's twenty minutes, right, And in a way they could they could say, hey, we've been in eight overtimes...

...already, this isn't this isn't new to us. But when their opponent could say this is our first or second overtime game, could being in that situation so many times actually helped them down the stretch shootout. I don't know, you know what I think. I think the bigger factor for Adirondack if or when they make the playoffs. Is the leadership they have, Maybe not so much the amount of overtime games they played, although it could help getting used to playing in crunch time. But I just think having someone like Jack Randall, who went to Providence last season for the Lumberjacks now playing with the Adirondack Junior Thunder, having that kind of experience in the locker room, I think could be the bigger X factor. But you know, March is still always away. But I mean again, though Adirondack, I think they're for real. Same with Pennsylvania. Those are two really good hockey teams. And just agree with that to Anthony real quick Neils that I really like that Drew Blanchard kid. He's uh. He's another kid like Purkowsky that has a nose for the net, pretty good size of forward left shots, always seem to have like a nicer shot. He's got uh. Oh, he was streaking. He lost the streets the Rangers. Dang, and I was trying to get my Wonderful Streaks page in there. But he had six goals in his last five games. He's another one with Murkowski that has depth. Damon Warren, you mentioned Randall Jordan Dickinson had a good power play goal. Um, so they got some players, I mean four guys of double digits. They've got a few guys that are creeping up on double digits. Ryan Harris, I remember his I thought I remembered his name, but I'm not sure. He's a No. Three so it's possible. But I had to go back in the look. But I was just gonna see Anthony's point on you know, Jack Randall with the experience from Providence last year and add on the experience from Westchester the year before. He was on both Lumbergeacks teams. So there's your there's your streaks page, Jeff. We have to add in insecutive Frozen Finals appearances. I don't know. I don't hope we have any of those. I don't think so. I mean d D seven's organization as a whole, going from Premier champions d h L champions. Yes, yes, true individuals. I don't know. That's a good off season project, Jeff. Multiple of nampionships, multiple rings. Yes, we have plenty of off seams and projects. If you're right, you're right for sure. Last week we had a bunch of statistical nerd type things that we're gonna dive into. We got names of division sponsorships up for grabs. Not for free though, folks, please take a take a checkbook and send it along to the league headquarters in Hampstead, New Hampshire. But yeah, we'll get to that later on. You know what's great about showcases that was obviously um being with all the coaches. There's just too many laughs to to even you know, to repeat all them here. I mean, I hope that trying to listening when he were you in the office, Jeff, when he forgot the name of the game that he was talking about, and the game that he was talking about was musical Chairs, like he was he was talking about. He's like, yeah, we were playing that game the one time when they played the music and they had their chairs and they pulled chairs out. I was like, musical chairs, Like, Oh, one of my favorite coaches, Brett Treder. Oh, then we had a Then we had a possible I mean we could tease a little bit. Uh, Coach Chaffernan was maybe teasing a futuristic video game like trade with Brett Schryder. Uh, let me just say this, William Pray, Brett Tryder loves you more than some of his own family. Good many. We'll leave it at that. Coach Chaffert him tried to put out the red card before you and bring you on down to Newington, but it happening. Coach Tryder loves you more than some eis. He added in practice Jersey's pucks like everything you can imagine to everything added to the deal. And then you know, one of my favorite ones too was I think for...

Tony Sean BERTONI goes the Railers came up to the office at one point and said, you know, hey, in the box score, they have down um, not enough penalties against us in that game for power plays against us, And I was like, you want me to put more power plays against you? Was like, I need my page a. Yes, that one did. Couse a power play. Will make sure that it shows that you killed it off. If he wants to get his penalty kill percentage up, maybe work on the tactics instead of trying to And I can actually say that seven have still only given up just one goal on the power play, so that they have just has they've given up power play goals. Yeah, I read that. Felt it felt weird doing your eight seventh game without you or Chris, I'll tell you that, but hopefully I held the torch pretty well for you guys. And yeah, that penalty kill of the New Jersey seven, it was clicking along at the point eight percent. I think the other day it was one power play goal and fifty three chances um three, Yeah, I mean, yes, you're right, temper one one power play goal against. Remember the Lumberjacks were behind them with two. But now they get the Lumberjacks P team. I should say the lumber Jacks P team is now giving up three. So there's a little bit of a cushion there for that for that man and that realist power play still at thirty four point three percent, I called a couple of power play goals for them, twenty four power play goals. You know what else is a sneaky good power play The Seahawks, they had a ton of power play goals this weekend. They're creeping up on There's another fun fact. What was the last time we had two teams in the thirty percent range? I know you always say it, Anthony and Neil, you're retired from the broadcast booth. We're probably set it back in your years of calling games. If you're in the twenty range, you're a pretty damn good power play you're in the thirty range, stupid, that's a sports it's in the game NHL. That's for kidding. That is like, what is going on? Speaking of video game numbers, how about Kate Herrera nine games goals? What is this? That's it? The one game he did not they changed it to an assist. I'm not kidding. They called that a goal initially for him. They changed to assess And I said, hey, kid, you know what your point streaks alive. You need to add a few helpers in there. But can't just keep getting all these tallies. You're gonna have smelpers in for good measure. But yeah, I want to get For coach Santiboi, kater Era, he's been unbelievable coming over from the South Shore Kigs. Coach Santaboi said that he wanted to prove that he needed top six minutes. I think he's proved then. Uh, he wasn't getting top six minutes over with the Kings. He's getting him now and he gets power play penalty kill. He's been unbelievable, and he shuffled that Seahawks line up. I wish I was at that showcase because I would love to see how he plays. Jeff does he just keep ripping him on net like Alexandro Rovetkin or something where I mean, yeah, he's a pretty good sniper. I think, I don't know, he's got like a good blend to his game, but yeah, he can shoot. He's on that first line with McManus and Herstberger and that's been that's a dynamic line. And they have another new goalie to colony Drawlowitz that Uh I finally learned how to say his name, Anthony the last time I saw you, I couldn't say it. I couldn't spit it out. But he was in the net for two out of the three games, and uh, I think I said his name pretty well well. And we were joking with Stephen Brown before that rough ride of Sea Lacks game. Um they played, they played dunkin correct for a moment we almost had Steven make a last second change just for jeffs here we are. You could have changed your name to Miles just I'm Jefferson Mills a witch. That's Daniel La what's it call it? In along? Did did?...

Did? I did I say this on the podcast last last week when I was in the press box for a Devil's game. I was sitting with Matt Laughlin, the radio broadcaster and one of the stats guys, a joking because that that was the year the Devil's had Jordan's two too, And Toomo rout I was like, hey, Matt, you think the devil should sign Jonathan cheat you and then put them on a line together. And Matt was just like, no, close. I would have been something. Well, but I don't think it was the night that you stayed here, Chap. I think it was the night before. Um. Um, we did play some Randy Moeller gold calls the night before. Oh no, I was there. That was Trevor Healey with that lot. Oh my god, some of those. That's what kills you every time, ja Bo Meester, Radic Devorac, Stephen Weiss, the Old Panthers back from the dead. Yeah there too. In speaking of broadcasters, um, you'll see it in the top place. There was a goal scored by Badina from the Wolves in a game that Tyler called. But do you know who had the goal call? Oh? That was that was the bathroom break, Yes, Tyler at one he watched past me and I go, I hear the gaps still going on Tyler. He goes, I really gotta go to the bathroom. I was like, okay, and then James yeah, Jacobs into the halfway It's like, oh, you're just missed an unreal goal. And then I go see they post the top play and I'm like, damn, that's kind of a tough time for Tyl to leave the broadcast because he ment like weaved his way through and then set up Badina for a one timer and Jake like seamlessly just jumps right and it calls it Jake, you caught him on the way in. I call him the way out. Almost got ripped in the teeth by the doors Tyler's fly that was on the other side at the universe of my game, And Jake was so plump, he was like, oh, that was the best bathroom break I've ever filled in for you know what, too much fun. To much Fun proved that we can adjust on the fly and react on our toes, audibles, audible sneel. What do we always say there's a solution for every problem? Exactly? Um, Anthony, I'm sorry, but there's a problem right now that that team H and IB is going through, we have to it's time for the E Crew Fantasy Challenge. The E Crew Fantasy Challenge is presented by Bio Steel, the sports drink of the E h L used to promo code E Show. That's E s h O W off when you check out at bio steel dot com. There's two problems. One's name Neil Revin. The others named Jefferson and josh Um. And I know I say this every week. It makes me sounds so arrogant, right, but the teammates and night Be put up forty three point six points. That is a good week. It is a good week. Well that's like you know what, you know what if that team is gonna put up forty three points, I'm gonna go out there and I'm gonna put up thirty three on my I thank I'm on the air for taunting us with that video of practice. Neil, I said, thank you. That's what we needed. Me and Neil need a little push. Thank you. Aiden I mean from Rendy's, Perette's and Herrera. Teammates and night Be had six goals, six assists, four power play points like they got eleven points from Rendy's, eleven points from Perette's, fifteen from Herrera, a para point Lawyer, three from Docherty, four point six from Jeru. So maybe if that Avalanche overtime game goes a...

...little bit differently a plug in, you know, another six or so points there. But four or three point six points is a good week. It is. That was some of the highighest scoring weeks when we were back to the old days of the individuality uh runs, Oh yeah, we're some of the people were getting close to eighty points in the week. Yeah. So, but Jeff said his name earlier for us calling in sorry you say it again. Three wins right, a hundred and two saves a bonus game one because he knocked off the top five team in the Lumberjacks, right um. Ryan Dutcher was the defense from the week going end of the week, but he was like, you know what, if Hodgkiss is gonna do what he's gonna do, it's okay, team OJ I'll just play defense. So we've had a rough go with the DJ Costa Lucas Salas. The week before, Kayden Connors, I don't know, our dear Maryman got us five points Wsky got us three points, Whyman seven points. So you look at those four guys, Whyman, Watchkey Marriman Dutcher. We really didn't do that much with those four guys. But between Andrew Awits and Aden hog Skiss with five goals, seven assists, power play point, a game winning goal and the first of the season, Jeff Patrick Dinging justin please put that in there. Thank you very much, Executive Prussa appreciate it. This the Dings give us a ding. So between Hodge Kiss and Andrew Owits, quick math here that was sixty point four points. Never do math on the air. Fell groups always teach you that you're saying that two players teach h N I V by almost twenty points. That is correct. I mean, obviously Hodge Kiss is in his third season now with the Avalanche, and I wrote this in in the Stars of the Week post. That truly feels like since he he committed the Plymouth State this past season for for next fall, right, so he committed kind of a year early, but you know it did it in a way where he knew he was coming back to the captain this season. I mean, just to have that weight off of his shoulders. It looks like he just could play. I don't want to say carelessly, because he's not careless, but he's just free of any stress, like you don't have to worry about committing, Like you could just go out and play hockey and develop. And the points are just are just silly. And that first line for the Avalanche with m Daniel mckerroon and Kyle Dan it's that could be could be one of the best top lines we've had in our leaguet history. When the season tex alright, you love all right, love you buddy, I mean Hodgkiss had how many goals? Had I had a hat trick against the Little Flyers? Right? And then you fast forward two games yesterday when they go out of the Showcase and they based the Wolves, who I mentioned have fourteen wins, second best team in the league. Daniel McKernon had four goals. Obviously, Hotskins assisted on I think all of them. Right, It's like that first line when the season is all said and done. I don't know, man, I have this feeling that we could be talking about where they rank, you know, in the history of the league. And literally McKiernan has done all that in the last five games like he wasn't at the top of the leader board all of a sudden four goals one game, one assist a goaling through assists a goal and assist to assists. Um, yeah, so he's doing that all of as of lately he went from nothing to everything, and we we were on the prey train like we should have been at the beginning of the season. I mean, William Pray points in seventeen games, right, without looking it up every single season, I would venture to guess the on November sixt or recording this posting on the seventeen that point total probably leaves the league most years, right, But look at the guys he has...

...in front of him right now, the model with thirty, All of a sudden, Mckerney has thirty. Like Jeff just said, all of a sudden, Hot, this is at thirty six. What did that just happen? Right? Picking up a lot of more goals lately to Hot is always a big atist guy, a lot of big distributor, but starting to find the back of the net too, Angels Combo. I mean, obviously it helped us out because we love it. I mean, thirty three fantasy points is it's pretty ridiculous. So um, and yeah, he's obviously a big reason why I think they're on a thirteen game point streak. You know, Chris wants to correct me. The second I say that, I'm going to check it. You'll get the text as soon as that's supposted Thursday morning around ten. Yeah. I mean their last loss was against the Wolves in overtime, was to say they've got a point that on the six team, right, So the last regulation loss came all the way back there in their mini showcase Sunday October nine against the Chiefs. I haven't lost the game in regulation over a month. Maybe well, maybe we were sleeping on Aidan Hodgkiss and and and the Avalanche. Sorry guys, you know so, Anthony, I have to say that because we do every week. The overall total points uh tm o G is at four hundred and twelve point two. Whoa, and we haven't cheated and we haven't and we haven't cheated yet, Jeff, we have not. I BE is at two fifty seven point eight. So yeah, our our lead is one four point four. So our stat line looks like Connor mct ever right now, forty five goals, seventy assists the power Flight foods. That's the end of an eighty two game season right there. But again, there's a lot of season left, so we won't get ahead of ourselves just yet. But yeah, so Anthony and Tyler ja play this and the end of March, they're like, remember when you guys are up by two tired sucking, it's amazing. But all right, Anthony, how does seem h and I be reset things this week? Okay? Uh yeah, that's he's by himself this week. No Jake, no Tyler. Where's the team? It's come on TV. It's what the heck cat out the dry? All right, So here are the picks for this week. I'm gonna start off with in eighty seven's forward being the homer that I am. I'm gonna go with Chris Abotta. He has four points in his first six games. I thought he had two goals this showcase. I guess they took one of away from him because it says he only had the one goal against the Valley Junior Warriors. But that was the last game in that overtime. When I think that he's going to continue playing well, he's getting used to his teammates, developing some chemistry with his linemates. I think he could have a good game starting ah well as of this recording tomorrow against Team Maryland. By the time it comes out, it'll be today's game. Then I'm gonna go at the e h l P level with Hunter Atkinson. He's been playing really well for the Avalanche as of late. He has two goals to assist in his last two games, so he'll be my peace election also forward. Then I'm gonna look towards the Boston Junior Rangers Luke Morris Set. He's also had some pretty good games. He's had a couple of three point nights earlier in November. He also has points in each of his last two games. I think he'll be a solid edition for Team A Jen I B. Then on...

...defense, I'm going back to the Protect Junior Ducks David Dell. I mean, the Ducks have had a couple of good defensemen so far this season putting up points. He's been one of them. He had three assists in one game against Team Maryland, so I think it'll be a solid edition on the blue line. Then, uh, Neil Jeff, I think you had him last week. Chris Merriman I'm gonna take him on to Team H N I B goal assists against the Vermont Lumberjacks in that showcase. So uh, Merriman, come on down and in goal I'm gonna go with Nicholas Hanson for Philadelphia Hockey Club. I think we don't talk about Philadelphia Hockey Club as much as we probably should. Hanson has a seven and two seven two in one record to ten goals against average, also has a nine safe percentage. He's been real solid for Philadelphia. He won his one start in the showcase against the Valley Junior warrior Is. So I'm gonna bring him on to Team H and Ivy as our goaltender. Beautiful. So again it makes us look arrogant, sound arrogant, and we saw douches after that last thing. But I think, can you see that on you don't. I guess we'll go with it, but it sounds like a bunch of jerks. When we Carolina Hurricanes, I don't talk about that when we um. I guess when we have the lead that we do, we can mess around a little bit. Will be the first to put an e h l P goalie in play, and that's what we did with Aidan Healy. I know he's been splitting time really with dom Um Welka for the For the Railers, I think they have three games coming up here. And it's not only just Healy's goaltending numbers that stand out. There's a few assistant there to Jeff. So, the old Nate Miller, the old Stretch past. Well, I don't think we're gonna get any game, any goals from from Healey, but maybe this is we'll take his one seven six schools against. I'll take that. You want to keep working up from there, Jeff. Start with the Blue Liners, yes, because, um, you know, let me take the let me take the defenseman because obviously Bulligan Golf reference Mulligan from our first time we took Eddie Mulligan, hoping for better results this time around second tour duty. They have a two game series with h c Or Island coming up. And then I'm taking Julian Wayne right or we're taking Julian Wayner, I should say, because there was actually his father who helped us, um kind of fill up the Michigan combine which we chest announced Jeff, so you can start playing plugging the heck out of it. So the Awards show. During the Awards show, you gotta make it part too. It worked well last year, so we got some good players from Michigan, so I gotta toot the horn harder. I'm is tying everything together as best as we can. So there's our goalie and two D. You take the forwards. Jeff, alright, how about Ethan Burn from the Philadelphia Hockey Club. Anthony's right, and haven't talked a lot about Philly this year. One of our newest teams, and they've been a welcomed addition. So Ethan burns one of our top points skaters nine team points. He was I'm pretty sure the first week or so he was the leading pointskater in the entire league. But still at a point per game pace. Yes, that's not as good when you've got guys like hotch Kiss and Kiernan and oh hello, Nash rabbing behind you. Um, it's not as good when you've got guys like that that are averaging two points per game. But Ethan Burn is still a very very good points getter, gets power play time. So hoping that we can continue to get some good things from Jeff brows one of his most popular forwards and Eathan Burns going with Edward Suilier from the Trailers. Had a little late change, wanted someone else about heard there was an injury. So Edward Suilier is gonna come on down us with the Railers up...

...to four goals, four assists. Guy Jake Casile loves, so of course Jake Casile is the enemy. Jake, we're gonna take Edward Julia, you love him so much. We'll take the Montreal Quebec native and hope he can keep getting us some points. Another guy that gets powerplay points, follow along each and IV. That's how you get it done. You gotta get those bonus points, powerplay points, gaming goals, all that different type of stuff. And then we're oh, wow, we're really going after h and ib here with this one, right, New Patrick Demriness three goals, seven assists, New Jersey. I think the scoring is gonna start coming around this week for coach Holy in the eighties seven's, and uh, who better than to start off than to Briness. So we're gonna go pat to Mariness and uh, I think that's it. That's it for Sole year. I do have to plug that coach for Tony calls him the robot because he just plays hockey. Um, he took a potential spear during a game. No, it's it's already done. But um, obviously he's not from the United States, so he's still learning English. And when he got back to the bench, I guess coach for Tony was like, are you all right to the trainer blah blah blah blah, and he just looked at coach and said, hurt, okay, okay, So like, do you need to to miss a shift? No, no, he goes, So you're good for the next shift. Yes, So he went right back out there. He's like, So I was like, you cannot get in this guy's way, like like you could knock him out, and he just gets right back up. Like so everybody needs a little Edward Julier on their teeth. They call him the robot because he just never stops, is what they say. So a little under two pounds from Montreal, that's that's damn big. So yeah, Anthony, I do feel good that it's only in November and a comeback is coming. And I really do feel like the comeback is coming. I don't know, I do wonder if it's time the panic button. No, maybe maybe we'll get you one of those from Staples at some point so that you can while you're on. Yeah, you and John Tortorella both can see that interview last night. What do you not like about your team? We're not board checking, we're not doing anything. What do you want to do better for check back to you? That was glasses off the process? That was That was pretty incredible. I wonder, Anthony, if you guys do use the wireless mike. Have you ever done a coach interview mid game? Yeah? Yeah, when when the team is losing. Now, when the team is losing, that could be entertaining because Anthony and Chris are what we call smart journalists. They know the that's you know. I think No, I mean because I think when you're working with the team and being very honest with my role, I think it's more public relations. And I tell I actually tell the players for the seven's every year in training camp, because usually either the veterans or Adam will introduce me to the all the new players and I'll tell them, like, look my roles to make you guys look good. Anytime you guys score a great goal, great save. I clip it put on social media. Right about it, and it's the same one. We're broadcasting a game, we usually try not to do interviews if the team might be struggling a bit, you know, let them focus a bit more on the game, even if it would make for a good TV like that Tortorella interview. Let's say the difference to you know, ESPN no shame in their games. They're just you know, and it's part of a lot of that stuff related to it's here. They gotta do it. Yeah, they're not working...

...under any team, it's just you know, standing network. Then they have a bit more liberties. I guess who was the interview last year? That interviewee, I guess you could say who swore and you could feel this swear coming? Oh that was Kyle focusing the folk hero. Yes, he told he told me that players are chirping him with that nickname. Now, well you know what he got the last laugh in that showcase game where he set up games at all and then shout out to Jake Basile for doing that interview with both of them. Yes, speaking of speaking of interviews, that was a good one. That was a really good one. And another good one um that I want to mention before we get to what to watch for? Um was the one with Nick Koda because I kind of helped Jake with the questions for that and Nick had no idea that Jake was gonna ask him if he had plans for next weekend, which is this weekend coming up where Nick is getting married. So that was a really back and forth with with Nick on his toes like that. So, um, it's not our what to watch for. I'm sorry Nick, um, but let's get to watch to watch for it now before we wrap things up, here's what to watch for this week in the show What to Watch Force, presented by Hockey TV, the official streaming platform for your e h L and e h L P action throughout the two thousand twenty three season. This weekend. Guess well, yeah, I don't think it's what to watch for for Nick, because I don't think Nick's fiance wants us to broadcast their wedding on Hockey TV. Um, come and special for me on the broadcast. You know, you can commentate and she's wrinking down the aisle. Tyler has very own full broadcaster. You know, I've known Dick for a while those days back to mood Arcs. You know well, but congrats grats to let's uh, let's start talk about this All Star Classic, because yes, there are some games between now and then, um in a couple of games after and then of course we're gonna have one more episode before Thanksgiving, which on Thanksgiving again this season we have the Express taking on the Seahawks. But um, the what to watch for, of course, to speak is about the All Star Classic, um, the second edition of this event. Jeff and Tyler on the broadcast again, are you guys gonna alternate? So one of you just put that play, one does color, then you switch. I think so that's what we did last year. Can I have my free game meeting with Tyler on the phone this week and we're as we always do for before big events, But yeah, I think we're probably gonna do that. That worked out well last year. Yeah. Um, we each picked the team and the three of us and Shake. So the points that Team Read and Team Gray a crew this weekend, Team Read being Jake, Team Team Gray being Anthony's team will go towards teammates and Ibi, and then the points that Team Blue and Team White, Team Blue being Jeff defending champion, Team White being mine we'll go towards Team o G. I don't think Team Blue has any returners though from last year for a defending champion, right, I was real close to getting Bosher again. Anthony took him. God speed Jack. You know what. Boscher ended up on Team Gray. And he pointed out to me at the All Star Week when we faced Nazareth and um Study Brockport that he was on Team Blue for the All Star Classic last year. He wore the blue jerseys again this year. Um when we faced we wear blue against Nazareth. Yes, wow, I'm really a blanket. Do we wear blue against against Rock one...

...day? Were the other day? But now I remember watching the Nazareth game. I thought you guys were blue that jersey. Me and Anthony both alread even there. So we have to cue up. You know when you have to like look back on something just to like confirm in your head before you move on. I'm gonna do that right now, because we were read against Nazareth Blue against uh Sony Brockport. But in the picture that he posted on the front of the website right now, it shows Bosch shirt in the All Star Classic last year, right, and Bosch Shert had those blue and yellow pads, remember that. Ye, Now he has the black and white pads and in a way they're gonna match pretty damn well with Team Gray. Yeah. So so remember we did have this huge debate last year that Um, from a distance, Team Gray looks like their team act. So we'll have to see how it all looks on Hockey TV this season. Our version of the dress is he I forgot about that. Oh, I'm gonna bring it back. How many years ago was that? So I'm not going to read off all seventy names on the podcast here, um, because we're nearing the end of the episode. Plus, I want to tease it in a way to have the fans at home. Go to the website. It's the first store. Right there you see Boscher with the blue pads. Um shows you all the players that are heading the ice this weekend in Worcester. Um. I did not choose Worcester because of the brewery with the nice with the great pizza. Um, that was not the reason. Um. But yes, Team Blue beat Team read last year right, so beat Team White in the consolation game. So I need to I need to make up or with team why this season? Um? Question, who was the m v P guys last season and the All Star Classic? Mm hmm was it? There? You go at the date, Colin, So there you go. We typically say, um, you know a game that we're watching for this weekend, right, and we obviously are saying that we're watching for the All Star Classic. So I'll put you even further on the spot. Each you give me one guy who is going to win the m v P Award of the All Star Classic this season. You can pick from anybody, right, I mean, we have to pick for our own teams. I don't want to pick someone from someone else's team. I don't want you guys. I'm a competitive you know what. So Okay, Okay, So if if we'll start with if if Jake was here with Team Red, Jake would probably pick Matt Gover, right, Yeah, he's a big buddy. The text that they got from Jake today that Mac Gover is gonna put his team go over the hill. So Trevor would go. Trevor would go Jack Widman, Big Jack WindMan guy, Trevor Blackburn. And you know what where did Wyman end up? Okay? So with Schambre, Tony is coach so perfect? Yeah, so all right, we have an idea of who Team Red would pick. I'll go next to give you guys some more time. Um My bold prediction for m v P of the All Star Classic will be Kyle Dan to him, okay, Team Greg Anthony, do you want to go where you want me to go? Yeah, I'll go. I mean Kyle Dan. He really turned it on the playoffs last season, and it's good to see that he's essentially carrying it over. If I were to pick one for Team Gray, I'm gonna go with a bit of a our course, A fellow pison with...

...an affinity for pizza, Joey Lechise. He's had a perfect season so far with Apple Beach. Yeah, he's been New Park Pizza. He just followed me on Instagram. I saw Howard Beach is now falling. I was like what, and then I looked. I was like, oh, Jill the chase. I see. He loves a good kind of pizza, not the hockey slang pizza that refers to giveaways. No, he doesn't do that kind of pizza. We're talking like actual top shelf like a pizza and the even you know, putting box in the back of the net. All Right, I'm kind of torn between two guys on my team, on team Blue. Let maybe how let me see how well I know Jeff right here? It is torn between our Trent King. Yep, that's one Oh oh man, this is like, man, this is like a million dollar question now and the other guy that Jeff is to to. Oh man, I'm torn on what Jeff is thinking. Either Jeff is either thinking of Scott McManus or Dallas the motto, oh I was going Scott McManus. You know, he said, well, we just want a million dollars, but now pick one. Uh try kig kids. The kids speed is just stupid. Um. Talking to a lot of college coaches this weekend, everybody was looking down. I think I had the pleasure of calling two of the three of the Vermont games, and every coach was looking down every time twelve was speeding up the left wing, speeding up the right wing, and they were like, this kid, his speed is unbelievable. Also was a good shot, um and has been a factor either trying had that top player right, wasn't it wasn't it King that dangled the defenseman at the blue line and then kind of kind of like Danioe the other day where dangles a defenseman, slides it across and his teammates scores on a one timer, and his size or lack thereof, hasn't been an issue at the h L level. I was wondering when he got called up from Premier if maybe he's listed to five several. That's that's a slippery fellow there. Uh, you know he'll he'll put some size on. But I saw him throw a couple of hits this week. He got he got hit in the neutral zone and one of those games popped right back up, went to the opposite blue line, laid the hit right back. I didn't even bother m Okay, so there we go. Trent King, Yes, Santhony, it's right. He wrote the group chat. I once coined him the sexy pick last year on the show. Here's what will say if either of are we doing more bonus points? Yea, either of Team Ran or Team Grays picks for the m v P win m v P and points to tie things up. Shut up. If it's Trent King or or Kyle Dan, then we just end fantasy for the rest of the season. You know you know what that means, though, Who's in charge? Of the m v P voting, so he'll probably find some lame excuse. Joey and Chase will score like seven goals, get five assists, you know, just single handedly drag Team Gray to the final. But then Neil is gonna be like, well, you know, Jack Bosher did get a shutout in that five nothing wins, So you know, I mean we bring the coaches into this, are we do like hockeys three stars the game that I do a northestern On time, or like the pros too voted on by the media not being Neil. It could be everyone else but him. We can figure it out. I love you, just the MVP. There you go, Jeff, There we go, just a total outside source of Florida. There we go. I used to do the three Stars to whenever I did public address for the Titans with an all and I'd always with the coaches that, oh, well I am tonight's attending media. You know I'm the right exactly I...

...was gonna say, attending media will be back. It would be me you Tyler, We all have you know, interest in it. So so before we add Anthony, when you wrote in the three stars, do you ever get one to yourself. No, come on, you gotta write yourself. At one time they had a good game. Guys, you actually went skating like last Friday and the Monday before, and if you guys saw it, it would not be pretty. It's been a few it's been a few years to talk about the skates. And you know why I like to broadcasting. Okay, I mean it's like golf Niel's favorites for him. You don't do it enough, You're gonna always have a vicious slice. That's my issue. That's exactly. Unless you go seventy times a year, some of us ken someone as can not next year. But anyway, I'll start Classic coming up this weekend. We do have one more episode before Thanksgiving. It actually will to be like a two week episode because we're gonna take the week after that off, So one more episode after this one before Thanksgiving, but before before we get there, all started Classic second annual version of the event. Jeff and Tyler on the call, Shake doing Jake's thing um at the benches in between periods and whatnot, and Anthony, I'm sure you're gonna be tweeting out highlights um the entire time, So I appreciate that UM and UH enjoy it.
