On this week's episode we kick off our ten anniversary celebration with the twe twenty two EH l champions the New Jersey eighty seven s. The podcast starts with a conversation with the head coach and GM, Adam Hooie, who admits that would in the franchises first ehl title. Truly hasn't set in yet. Further along, we bring the e crew back together and, as will do with every team this summer, we select the top ten players and franchise history. I'm joined now by Adam Woe, the head coach and GM of the Eh Shell champion New Jersey. Even so, how's it going, Adam and a Neil? Good out by yourself? I'm doing well. Thanks for coming back on the PODCAST. And he heard me say it. There ehl champions as it set in. Yet for you now, now it really a truly hasn't it? It's one of those shot things where it hits you every every couple of days and you sit there and say, you know, wow, I'm you know your Ahl champion is it is. It is a crazy feeling. You know, there's times where it really hits and there's times where like, you know, moving on to the next point. So, but we've been a fun offseason in the fun you know, obviously last couple weeks is funny because about a year ago around this time you were defending now eh l p champions, because you won the Ehl p title, then the EHL. Is this the the progression that you always envision or is it just how it played out? I think it's a mix of both. We talked about it last year with you when we won the premiere right. That was special to last because that's where we had started and we're big and talking about starting the right way, doing it the right way, starting in premiere and then elevating ourselves. So we won there. That was super special and none of the next year to follow it up within the Ahl Championship certainly makes us feel very excited, very proud as the organization to take that next step and do it in the Ahl. So obviously it has to work, everything has to come together for that to happen, but definitely, you know, in our mind kind of how we wanted to go after, you know, winning championships in the League. And let's go all the way back now to when you did start at the two thousand and seventeen eighteen season, which feels like forever ago now, five years that you started, as you just mentioned, in the EH L P. How valuable was that time, just kind of dipping your toe in and getting a taste of junior hockey at the EHLP level? Yeah, I mean it was everything. It's always what I always talk about one once someone ask that question, a new team or a new coach. It's everything. You have to learn. You have to learn the basics, you have to learn the complexities of the League, you have to learn everything from I always say it's from travel to to just daytoday in game operations. What to freak out about, what to be confident about? You know all that. So you have to learn and it's the only way to set yourself up with success. And I think you've seen it in our league. You know, the last couple of years, old who have wanted to have come a long way and I've done a lot. So I think it's a real indicator is when you do pay your dues and your organized and and you've done everything the right way, you do get rewarded and then it's a difficult thing to win. But when you do it the right way, it works out for you. And of course that's the two thousand and seventeen eighteen season. Next year you add ehl, and I can now bring this up that you've won in the H L championship. But Eighteen nineteen ends and you can call it heartbreaking fashion. One...

Thousand Nine hundred and twenty. We can even finish the playoffs. Two Thousand and twenty one. You make it to the frozen finals of the EHL team, just like your EHLP team. But you only want at the EHLP level. All of those three years of tough endings it all feel like a huge weight off your shoulders this year when you want it all. Yeah, I mean that was you know. Also, that's always been on your mind and something that's always there. I obviously you know, being upset and on a team that we thought were really confident with and then cold but obviously hit and took away from everybody. And then last year and what we felt was one of our strongest teams we had to date, not getting a chance to even get to Saturday what was heartbreaking. And then, you know, when the Buzzer hits this year and you realize like whole man, you're a champion, it really sets him. But I think it sets in when you're on the eyes and all you know your phone is blowing up from past players being so excited and so happy. That's when you feel like it's it's really kind of the top of the top, right when everyone of the thereyone was watching, everybody was tuned in, following along, and we were able to finish that right and then be all the women and become a champion. That's when it truly hits and that's when it really hit his when you picked up your phone and sort you know, tim the door, attack of down thee terremant attack to Jack Lane, a trevors here, those guys blowing up your phone right away. That's when it really felt, you know, like we did something really spectacular. When he sat in the bus and you look at your phone, how many text did you have? I think I count of a hundred and twenty eight text messages that I had that came in and congratulations from from, like I said, players, coaches, fellow coaches in the League, college coaches, you know, family members, friends of family members. It was just a tremendous support and tremendous out pouring up of congratulations from us. You talk a lot about the learning experiences along the way. You brought a full staff with you to the finals this year. was that based off what you had learned in years past? I think, like we always said, something that we talked about quite a bit, you know, and super being involved in that, and everything is a learning experience. I think that's the one thing we've learned about this league in our time here. You have to learn and you have to grow and adapt. So to us every opportunity to learning experience and even now, being a champion, we have to now learn and adapt from that how to come back out of the year after and I know I asked you this in the post game afterwards, but you use the Hashtag our time throughout the year, including when you had that losing street going on in the middle of the season. Did it always, no matter what, feel like your time? Yeah, I just felt like we went with our time because, as you mentioned earlier, some of our downfalls going into the postseason and I felt really good going into this year. I felt we were very prepared. I felt like as a coach, it's I felt very confident in what we were doing and how we did it from everything and that's why we use the term our time, because I thought we were just it was our time. I thought we did everything the right way off the ice. I thought we did everything the right way on the ice. We really monitored our bodies at the end of the year making sure that our we were healthy. We were, you know, we were just getting our legs going on ice, execution x andos. I just I just felt like it was really everything was coming together and obviously, you know, there were times where it felt like maybe I missed it, but it really was what we talked about as our time of everyone putting in their time and now we have to be the ones that take it to the next level. And then you go through another record setting winning street point streak all the way into the playoffs, which we had a different format this year, where you actually ended up in the wild card game against the chiefs in overtime. Whether enter any nerves that...

...it may have ended at that moment. I mean, I look at that game. We were five minute, we were two and a half minutes away from our season ending. You know, we tied it late there and then one in over time and again just so typical of who we were as a team. And again a game I thought we played really well. We were doing everything possible. We just couldn't put the puck behind the goal line and we were two minutes away from, you know, call in a day in our season and and that being it. And then all of a sudden, you know, in a span of about seven minutes of playing time, you tie, you win it and you're on your way to the frozen final. So you know, there was definitely nerves, but there were confident nerves. Listen, it was it was either going to happen or not. Happen, and that's as a learning experience. You realize you know you're prepared and sometimes you're preparing and doesn't work out, but some buns you're prepared and it worked out as you needed it to. And that's a great transition, because the guy that basically put your team on his back to tie the game and win the game was Kyle Folkersen, a player that can return to you this season. How quickly after you know you lift the trophy, he get back home? Did you sit back down with Kyle and talk about this upcoming year? Well, I think kyle did it on the bus ride coming home. He was a guy that, by the time we got halfway home, was go, drum all in, I'm back, I want to be back. What do I got to do? And and it was more of a hey, enjoyed the moment. Will take a day or two and then we'll get you back off ready to rock and roll. But he's a guy that we expect big things coming from. Is a player that you know, as you can see you can be so dynamic and what he does and that's what we're about. But we have a lot of fresh new faces. We had a lot of players from that premier team now that are two times champions, a premier champion in the H L, champion that are now going to get a full time ready to rock and roll roll on our EHL team. So I'm super excited again. It's got that smirk on my face off. You know, I'm excited to get the year started because I can't wait to see what this team ass off for now and when you talk about this upcoming team, obviously you're recruiting has been able to change over the years. I know it's not easy by any means, but it's probably you know, is it fair to say it's gotten easier as you progressed? I think it's gotten easier in a sense because we know what players we want to go after now right we know what players we like to identify and we know how to word and and really explain the process. And then I think it's easier because the proof continues to be in the pudding, not only for our team but our league, is just we continue to commit guys and say what we're going to do. So for us it's been easy to say, if you want to get somewhere here, we've done it, here's your path. Here's your plan and then add in a championship there. There's no doubt it's made it a little bit easier and conversations to say we've now climbed that Plateau and gotten to the top there with some of the other coaches in this league and teams in the League. So to be able to put ourselves on that has been super helpful as well. And you talk about the condiments as well, they're, you know, eight your first two years in the EHL, fourteen and then twelve so far this year, plus the championship. What's the next goal? What's the next bar that you want to get to? I think it's just continuing to make sure that we hit that rate of being really high with our players that are in their final year. I think that's the one that really excites me. Obviously the number, of the total number excites me, but we've always been a mixed team right, a team that has had probably half of age olt players and half not. So our numbers always going to be hovering in that twelve range and that's the goal every year make sure our players who commit to coming to us in that final year of their eligibility, we make sure they have a chance to be on a fall campus and for college coming in the fall. So for us that's been the biggest thing. I think the next step for us is just continuing the tradition and, and you know, now being able to operate with that in our mind. And they were a champion...

Cante. Now we're able to commit players. Now, where else can we take this thing? Where can we make this now the next step, and can we put ourselves in the market of being a team that consistently does it every year, as some teams, I've done already in our league? We want to now go into that range. Yeah, it's huge and now, as a head into our ten season as a league, will be your fifth year in the Eh Shell. A fun thing that we're going to do this summer throughout, as we go team by team, we're going to highlight the top ten players in each franchisees history. Last year we did the all time teams. This year the narrowing it down just the top ten. So to put you on the spot and make you have to name just one, is there one player in eighty seven history that we have to start our list with? Man, that is a very difficult question. Certainly putting me on the spot. There's a quite a few in the local market that come to my house still. So I don't name man, they may be upset. There's a lot in that question there. But if I had to name one all time I think for me man, that is a very difficult question. I don't even know. I would have to go with probably I go with him to board just because he's an all time games played leader. Right, some one that to us. When you have that stat that's specially to us. I mean you were the Jersey of the most. You feel very confident. So I guess I would start with him as a guy that you know he literally wants, threatened tears for our organization and someone that you know came from outside, didn't know who we were, we had to truly recruit to bring here and you know, hopefully for him he feels like it was the best deficient of his life, and I think the rest of the players will understand that. A lot of them will be on this list as well. So let's put you on the spot one more time then, before I let you go. You use the Hashtag our time last year. What's the Hashtag this year? Ha Ha, that's a good question. You know that I'm a big one of that. To us it's going to be running back, where we are going to be back. Our goal is to be where we were and now we want to just run it back as an organization and that's a team. So we're going to go with that this year as our mantra and as our tagline, and the goal is to run it back and hopefully you'll be asking me that question next year. Is that coach, you finally ran it back. How do you feel? So that's the all right now, I love it. So thank you coming on podcast and kicking off these summer interviews for us. Awesome. Appreciate me. No thanks, but thanks again to Adam, who wee's coming on the podcast this week, kicking off our summer team of the week features with a great interview and already drop the Hashtag for next year as well. So let's bring in the e crew now and guys out of Hoolie, says Anthony. Last year it was our time. This year coming up, get ready to use hashtag running oh, doing a drummal okay, Hashtag, Hashtag, run it back back. I like it. So I mean you had that, you get five hundred points. You didn't. They went next year and trying. One mistake I guess I've made here is not bringing Chris on this podcast, also because myself, Lauren and Jeff could just get off and Chris and Aunty could do this whole podcast for us. You know, that would have been hey, we could all use a little bit of Chris is dry humor in our lives. Are we all quotes? Yes, are we all recovered from the finals? Now? It's been a month, month, a month, exactly right. It was a fly. Did my snappy season in? Yeah, boasts so good for surviving. Yeah, I have. I haven't had the need to touch a cough drop in the last months. I can say that much. How do you...

...want to what's to target? The other day and that he reacts as I go. I'M gonna be new bag after that final street, after I took all of yours. Yes, I always use them to men. I had a bunch of them. I was pound them every day too, who are holding round off drop city. So I'm pretty sure on cast to I needed them. I'm pretty sure on episode one hundred and Sixteen, I said that we were going to take a two week break. It turned out be a four week week. We had a couple of commonbiness there. Took a two two week break. Yes, two week break times too. We had the two combines, Jeff, as you mentioned. And Yeah, just ready now, now that we're in May, to turn things over for this upcoming season, the twenty two twenty three season, which of course is the ten year of the EHL. Release the logo earlier this week that we're going to be putting on the back all the helmets and kind of crazy to think that we're already in season number ten. It's season number eight technically for the EHLP. And what old? Yeah, right. And this is season, I think, number six for the eighty sevens. Now their fifth, their fifth in the EHL. So but as we do every summer, or especially Jeff and I, we've done this the last few summers, we go team by team throughout the summer and last summer, when we went team by team, we put together the all time team. So now, to make things even tougher for us, we're going to take the all time teams we put together last summer and narrow them down to just ten players. So for some organizations this is going to be really hard for others. We only have, you know, two or three years to go off of it and maybe a little bit easier because of that. But as I asked Adam whoeie at the end of the interview, put them on the spot, kind of on I asked them to start with one player, and I'm no, he's going to get a lot of crap for the for not saying other names right, but I think I think he answered it very well by saying that I'll go with the guy who wore the Jersey more times than anybody else, and that's Tim to board right. So, yeah, that's a great story. Seven. That's a great place to start and I have the all time team that Jeff and I put together last last summer for us pulled up. We need nine other guys and we admit right now, first episode of the summer, there are gonna be some upset players that are not happy with us. The suppose last year Mber we clead everything out and post everything on Instagram facebook. I was like hey, immediately the comments. So, guys, is only so many spots, just like there's only, you know, so many spots on the team and only sa and I feel like this episode, this first episode is going to be hard for me too, because I wouldn't be surprised if I've some guys contacting me saying what the hell man being up to the team from game, from from day one, Chrismue, what do out not being on this, because they will reach out for you. This is really I love out because I don't Rene something can't really go on with them too hard yet. You can use that excuse, that's for sure. No more, Laura, though, it's ere too. So we rookie season? Yes, can we addressed the elephant in the Roman at the industry. Going to take this one, but I know the Sevens won the championship this year. On paper, though, you can maybe make the case that the previous year's team was better than this year's team. Yeah, it so. I brought this up with Neil right before we started recording that even though this this year's team just won the championship individually, there's so many players beforehand that we're probably better and deserved to be in that top ten. Like fire power team to board leads all...

...time in points. Dante Taramani, believe, another player who recorded over a hundred points for this eighty sevens team, Zam Tarantino Andrew Maynard. Maynard played a couple of games in the North American Hockey League, as did Jack Lane. And right off the bed you have five for words, you know, the top five scores. None of them played on that championship team this past season, which I can't I think is a credit to that team to write. I mean you have, like you just said, nine guys are averaged over a point per game in their careers. Eighty seven swaying, you suitable in Ski Laiha Lane, Maynard, Tarantino, Armani and to board. And you just said it. None of those guys were all the championship team, and just goes to show you don't always need that massive firepower to win a championship. Sometimes it is the scrappier grinder to guy's the Kyle folger, since you know they're not gonna play you thirty, forty goals a year, but they're going to score when you need it most. Own Haynes and the always are gonna be kind of interesting. I feel like we have what three, four goalies well, and we don't have to. This doesn't have to be by position right. So last year we did this Jeff, we kind of were locked in to a certain number of forwards and D and goalies. We technically could just go out and pick ten forwards if we wanted to, if those are the top ten players in team history. So we have tim two board so far who, as I mentioned, three seasons with the eighty sevens. I mean, I don't know if anyone comes close to a hundred and twenty games that he played plus the one hundred and thirty five four points. I think it's obvious. Then staying, staying right there at the top, Dante Tara Manny, a former rookie of the year and MVP, also in the hundred point club. Gives us two guys so far. Yeah, and Neil. Neil, I just fun to add real quick. Well, you that it could technically be anybody. The mindset that I made a preliminary list last night and my mindset was either maybe five forwards, three defenseman and two goaltenders, or maybe six, six forwards to defenseman in one goalie. Either way it's going to be hard. I feel like we should at least give recognition for each position. Okay, and you could probably for the sevens, you could probably get away with having mostly forwards, because there are such an offensive mndy team still our boy. We've had some really good defenceman to that I think deserves some recognition. The captain, Herrick's got to go in there right, and I don't say it was a leader in the I would definitely put Matt Herrick in there. And then the question is, who else do you put? trevors or maybe who was another captain? I say it's great. I'd have to put in Tim Lazowski. Not only was he a great defenseman, he's probably one of the smartest players that has ever put on a s s uniform, whether it's hockey Iq were also off the ice, Timoth Ay. Yeah, well, let's put herrick in so far, and that gives us three. This is this is hard already. It was. This already a bad idea for the summer. Guys. Now Fun, Neil, you have to have some conflict. Hell, what does that's the start of this podcast is yeah, the scheduling. Oh my God, it's already back episode. You know what? You know what? I think we're almost that. We're almost at scheduling time. Yep, YOU'RE gonna be a part of it this summer. You know that? Yes, yes, because I'm not going out to someone. Also the bus. Yes, I'm not going out of the bus by myself, but when on the bus, under the bus? Yes, I have three four. Are Going to leave me off the bus. If I come up with the schedule, can take the lumber hitch hike with the Rummerjackson. There it is lastic like yeah, I got three...

...four its highlighted here. Next in Zach Tarantino, Andrew Mandard and Jack Lane. I don't think we would be raw to include all three of those on this list. Know there are three of those guys who mention were point for game players in it and as. But but here's the thing too, beffore. We write them all down, like do we better preteal that? Do we do we include all of them, or do we maybe save broom for, I don't know, Jason Atkinson and Matt's a Dana wits and while they did not put up the regular season totals like Maynard, lane and Tarantino, Atkinson was the frozen finals MVP. Matt's Adano wits was a beast in the postseason. I don't have my preliminary list, but ever Schneider is the all time leader and goals in the frozen finals with three. So do you just go by regular season totals or do you also include maybe playoff totals? You brought up kyle focusing before. He only played a half season with the eighty sevens, so unfortunately I don't think he would make the cut, even though he scored that overtime goal or those two goals to beat the Connecticut chiefs. Ash Take Full Kiro. Yeah, any personally, another of you went over last was so good. I mentioned that a few times during our podcast. That was so good. Ay, do you bring up a great point. I absolutely agree with you that it. I mean, because look, you said act, without Atkinson and Schneider, without those guys, you don't get to the you don't get the championship. You know get yes, so regular season stats, are they count for something, but I think it doesn't need to be. I don't think we have to put all these guys that scored eight thousand and ninety hundred plus points, and you guys can tell the otherwise, but I'm totally file putting some guys in there that had some memorable moments and some memorable goals. The playoffs and maybe just didn't put up as many regular season at woods and and then do you also consider how they're doing in college now to be because the EHL's Development League where our goals to get players to the collegiate level? So is that a yeah, I feel like this is something we probably should discuss beforehand. Now the exact criteria, we gonna ask you to so many different angles that we can approach this. Yeah, I think it's best to build the ten and then debate cut down. Yes, no, I don't not really cut down. Build them, Bill, build ten that we think are strong candidates and then, as we work our way maybe down the point totals, we get to those some of those names that Anthony mentioned. We squeeze one end elete one, add one correct. Do we get to do honorable mentions like now? Do receiving votes now? We do know. I've actually deal since at the I just asked, I forget, in the past the last couple of summers. Did we account for like their called at? I think we did just the what they did with the organization right, because it's obviously it's I think we factored it a little bit of college as well. Yeah, but as more what you did the EHLS. It's the EHL all such and such team. Yes, yes, once we love all the colleges, but maybe, maybe the college careers can be a tiebreaker at times. Okay. So, so right now I just have six guys circled right. If you if you want to continue down this path, so we can just fill the final four spots. I would put Trevor Yer here for now, and this ten is including goaltenders, we said. I'm just I think we get to the goal tends in a second right, like like my initial ten, I had trevor year to make seven. I add Ku Suda and maybe eight. I had George Weener to make nine.

George, Georgie's gonna eat my is gonna listen, Georgie's gonna hate me, but I I would put Tim Wazowski there. Well, I think so, because Tim Tim Wazowski was another guy from from day one. He also has a really funny story about how we got onto then s so that let's hear the story. Start Time. Sweet. Done. So this was, I want to say the summer of two thousand and seventeen, when they were first coming up with the team and they hey, I just want to make sure he I'm pretty sure. Yeah, he did play in the premier team that first here. Yes, he did. Okay, see Ya. Summer of two thousand and seventeen, I believe Tim had actually missed the tryouts for the sevens and he was in contact with Matt Kiernan and said, okay, you know, we can still arrange a date for you to skate with us, and I remember Tim telling me, I think the last season he was with us. Who's like yeah, what? My tryout was basically skating just one on one with Matt. Well, like the ten or eleven you team was practicing on the other end of the ice. He's like so I was. I was skating with a bunch of like ten year olds in Middletown Ky. Look pretty good. Yeah, well, I don't think he was like I don't think he's lunning against them. I think the way he said he seemed like it was just him and Matt Kiernan on one side of the ice while the kids are playing on the other end. He's like yeah, that was essentially my try out and from them from then on, like he he was just dominant and he probably didn't put up world beating stats like some other high scoring defenseman in the league, but again, just a smart hockey player, reliable in his own end. He could ramp up the physicality if necessary, and definitely the best two way defense I've seen for then S. okay, who was that? Good? Now quick comment about one trial sorts. Yes, quick coming about one on one. You can do it in basketball. I don't know if I ever seen one on one hockey, but maybe that's maybe that's a good new overtime format that I can propose. That would be a long one. Hang on, when I say one on one, I don't mean scrimmaging against Matt hearning and I just I know I'm just having fount with this. So so hold on before. I want to get to Tim in a second. Then if I was just rounting this thing out right now, I would put Matt's Danimates in here next, right. So now that puts us that the ten ten names right there. Now it's a matter of taking those ten and saying, is there anybody that should be on this list that can replace somebody? So for Anthony He's saying Tim and other names that we can think about. Our Atkinson. We haven't even talked about goalies. Yet right, I was a saying a consid Schneider, who aunty mentioned with the big playoff totals. I have to copy and past, I would I would have spelt that wrong. For schneyder. No, it's Tim, Tim's name. Every Snider, Gret crazy, crazy, stated even realize snyder sixty five total games played, four pims. Who He is for? Who is that? That welcome someone did last year on the from the old oilers, Alex for yes, Alex and Oldan arten. Remember that. You want and you want know what the station is. You want know what the crazy thing to it is with with Schinder only having for penalty minutes, is that he played a fier scheme. He was like Atkinson and Ben Gibbons. I mean those three yards up the fire the firehouse line last season. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, where they hight...

...all? Why? The firehouse line? Well, because they lived together in an apartment in elberon which was right next to a firehouse. Okay, okay, I didn't think's a deeper meeting to that. Yeah, because before Chris came along, sometimes I go to the Elber on Train Station, which is right next to the apartment, and they would take me down to Jersey shore arena where broadcast their games. Got It, okay, but so, yeah, does she not very ru firehouse? That's where that nickname came from. The Schneider have the resume, but in the EHL, to replace somebody on this list, because I've already taken Taylor places. We've already taken Tim Lazowski and put him in place of George Weiner. We have no goalies so far. Right, we have those of the we have. We have seven forwards. D but You don't have to have a goalie, right, really you don't have to. But you know, I feel like we gotta get at least one. Got Klepack, three so backs, three seasons at the eighty seven. Jeremy Conner, four seasons, three seasons. She's the all time leader in wins in the EHL. But I think you had it right. Four Seasons right too, with the pin to the e Shell. Oh hold on, so between Kopeck, conner, JERSAC and Haynes, idiot. Yeah, he's one, you know, to to each anthony is correctly. Jeremy Connor's the all time leader and wins and the EH LP. Right, Haynes, I would say that photo of him raising the trophy. That's awesome. Shadows to Dan Hickling. You haven't bet? Yeah, I've been on on EPD a while than Anthony. Every single guy has a photo like that. Yeah, except for Hudson, who we don't know if you've built an EP for him. Yeah, but maybe a you know lot of his post game press conference, pixt to day when he took when he turns up the Preschool League, look out, we could play him in this list. Right, it's yes, but forget talks with the goalies and the knocks. That goes a long way. We mentioned Kopak, conner, Dalton Jers Act. There was their very first year in the EHL. I Want Haynes could come back, Ian Greife, I mean, as there a goalie that had a career worthy enough of taking somebody off this list. That's why I got out. I wanted to build a ten and then create the controversy by a specialty. I'm not going to include him in this list, but out of all the goaltenders, ten or deals is the one who scored a goal. Oh Cheez, I'm golaying. He's gonna make the list for just scare. I'm blaking on this. When was this an empty net goal? So someone one with Mac here to right. Wait, hang on, hang on, no, I remember. It was a game against the Philadelphia, a little flyers in Aston and it was a delay penalty. Philadelphia pulled their goalten. Oh yeah, it was. It was a on one rush. Tenor beals made a blocker save, but it looked like the shot had gone wide. It ringed around the glass. It went to the flyers bench and player tried to send it back to their defense. Mean but the passes off the mark and went all the way down into the empty net. Now I was watching the game on hockey TV. I pulled that clip aside. I zoomed in on my video editor like I do for the replays I post on social media and I can see the puck changing directions. So I posted on twitter. I said tenor made the save on that he should get the goal, and everyone on social media, the titans coach of the Nolteam, Craig Dream is, even said on twitter. Come on at EHL, give him the goal. I think I convince Justin Friedman, who's doing the stats, to correct it and put that goal in. So fields became the only person to Earth. He's the first goaltender eighty seven history to get credit for a goal. Does that...

...put them in the top ten? No, podcast say you make the show. You made the Bison. Ye, back to names, like every Snider Right, Jason Atkinson, Matt Anastasio, Devil O'Kane, is there? It is? Is there another name on here, Matt Blinsky? Is there another name on here that can replace somebody on this list, or is this our list? So Schneider played, what was the sixty five games, thirty seven points. Like we said, he's more because of his playoff prowess that he had. This is tough. I made the fun picker, so you guys can see it now. Appreciate your goody doing good years. Another one too, for a team man. Yeah, is another big name. I remember the contribute a lot, Neil. If this one goaltender that I think deserves to go, and it would be John Kopack. Okay, well, back over Connor, interesting, but over who on this list? This is what makes it fun. HMM, these are all the all kids that you know have moved on to write. Like a few of these are actually umss Dartmouth commits. Maybe that's a whole separate episode. Eighty seven. You must startmoth pipeline, because there's there's like seven of those guys. Will be the study brockport episode. Weld you next summer. Yes, yes, this next season where it's just all hl goes, we will do this sunny brockport episode leading up to our Allstar game against sunny brockport during the season. Make that notes. It's that's coming in October. Cause a way to what's going on before that. There are too many rounds of golf and he played before that. Jeff, yeah, runs a golf and all some other important things. An October is May. Let's just cruise the summer right by. Yeah, I'm looking. I'm looking at on also right now, and this seems like a real solid top ten. I have a hard time taking out any guys. Just feels weird. You know what's going to be you know what's to be great too, is when we do post this, they're going to read it in this order, they being the players, right, we're just this is like one through ten. Yes, they like someone will head will take exception, even if they're on this list for the first day. It's ten that they're like is seven and not five. You know what I mean. So we have to write in stars. This is not a like chronological order. This is not who's better, who's worse. This is just we wrote it in. Anthony's so torn right now. He hates this. We have to defer it for the final final votes. Do you want to do? You want to call it a life? Fine, calling Chris no the fun. I'll be fine. Well, because one thing I'm thinking about is potential, and this was seem insane. Maybe taking case you to off the list, and my only reason is because he also accomplished a lot with the Connecticut chiefs before coming to HD and eighty seven S. I mean he's sort of Munster numbers. We let with the League and scoring. I know that's the thing, though. Now he was, he's half point like every game last year he was, or two years ago. Wow, or do you think? You Take Out Trevor Seer? But trevorseer was a great leader for this team and he was one of the guys where we're sere would volunteer his time working as the scorekeeper, the cameraman for the EHLP Games. He's a guy that would always love to be, would always want to be at the rink or the one or two guys you're chewed on with replacing him with that thing you think? Are you taking copack? Are You thinking another demon forward? I mean we already have some demon in there, so I think it would have to be a goaltender and weird not putting any of those guys on them.

They're all for holy well, I feel like I'm Tyler Rago. You're never played goalie. Huh, you guys tell me. I like these ten. I think this is the ten and if the Danai was asked why he's listed as number ten, we can just say because it begins with a Z alphabetical order. Even another, evenother rest are clearly not alphabetical order. Why Hook Cooks? You are right about the daily its. Look, it's sniffed out real quick. Kays s does that Kennecticut college now. So just to rip through some of those right. So you got the bored and Taramonic together at Lawrence, Matt Herrick going off to Saint a's Zach Zarantina Tarantino at Ms Dartmouth. I don't that it was a new name change. Exagarantino Andrew Maynard basically went to toughs because of his performance in the Allstar College series. I guess the college seems like he was an absolute man. Actually, you know what I have to do here at Mey, I have to go like this. I have to go see Andrew loose. The have to go moves mean for you in my brain right now. I'm in your brain, that you're in my rings. Yeah, you're Jacqueline at Wilkes trevors. She here at Must Dartmouth K Stud as. I mentioned Ik College. Jim didn't. I don't think he went off to college, but he's back playing in Europe. And then Mazadani, which also Muss Dartmouth. That's right, because Lazowski's from word like bill, roosters, cellar sell the ruth. I thought. I thought he went to a college, just not just not a d three school, because I think his older brother has a PhD, Mit Sam, who engineering. Yeah, that whole family team included, just like so intelligent. I'm gonna with this. Translated to the ICE. Yeah, I'm going with this list. I like it. And and and Jeff earlier mentioned. Did you call him? It? Tim Two board and Mr Seven is I you said now. I thought you. I thought you quoted Adam hoolie on that. Yes, yes, yes, but I think Jack lamittags exception to that as well, right, because he was another guy that was scored the first ever goal. Yes, organization. Who was that? A Gay, but a set of just because he's played the most games eighty seven history, with a hundred and ten games played. Mr World, is that a lot? That's pretty good. It's pretty good. SPRITT, Tim two board scored his fifty goal in his one hundredth career game with the sevens. God, I love I remember that. A tree like that I have. Also, I just can just shoot one one more funny story with death tarnty. Know that the whole point of the summer podcast, and yet they are funny story stories on yeah, my favorite, favor my favorite story regarding Zack Tarantino, and I want to say it's in the two thousand and nineteen, two thousand and twenty season one, the eighty sevens were still playing in Middletown. Now the the scores table was connected to the bench where you could walk between those areas, and for ehlp games he would always work as the scorekeeper. Granted, at the eight seven EHL team wasn't on the road and he became very familiar with the the score keeping. He'd also rough bee ear league games. This sky. This guy can work like so many different jobs in hockey. I would let him be my color commentator if he wanted to. But there was one EHL game where it was I want to say for a for or maybe a four three power play. Somebody scored a goal and they're trying to take the penalties off the clock or I think they want to put the penalty time back on, and the EHLP guys who are volunteering with the score keeping didn't know what to do with the score board. So Zach Tarantino, in full gear,...

...takes off his gloves, walks into the score stable and he's just operating the scoreboard. I was tapping. I was tapping the the shoulder of the guy work in the camera, I think it was Ian Whie. I'm like, let's let's get a close up. There you see Zach Tarantino in full gear operating the score board. He can do it all and I just think it epitomize how much he loves the game, how much he loves being at the rink and just helping out, whether it's a player, a scorekeeper, a ref and that's and it's not just Tarantino. I saw a lot of that from guys like Trevor Seer, Devlin O'Kane, did a lot of work with the camera this tier, Jeffrey Moger from the ehl He team, and that's one of my favorite parts, working with the eighty sevens, guys who are always at the rink and they can just help out in any capacity. And these aren't just guys who are trying to stay relevant because they're like fringe guys on the fourth, blind or third parent. These are your leading scorers, like Zach Tarantino. Is What top three, top for all time in scoring with the team, Yep, in full gear. Yeah, it's great story. Will have. Will have more of those stories as this summer progressive, because we've had gets fut we've had players have to drive the Zamboni. All Right, we've had that's that has happened in the past. Right, we've had coach did we've had we've had coaches have to do that. Will you at that showcase, Jeff when it would when Eric laying the Rock, when eight, when are in PARCO, was this year for the Express Eric Lynn from the rough riders of the Zamboni once to write. That was a wild but I will say this. Will Save those for the future podcast. But yes, I think we're gonna go with this list as is. So let me read it off. So everyone, here's it one more time. The top ten all time for the New Jersey Eighty seven. And I'm going to ask Anthony One more question. Tim To board, Dante Taramani, Matt Hair exact, Tarantino, Andrew Maynard, Jack Lane, trevors or Kus to the Tim Wazowski and Matt Ta, Dana Whit's now anthony, for the final question to wrap up this episode. Who is the first text that you're going to get from when we post this? WHO's the first former player that's going to text you and do like, what the hell, man, who do you think explain? Ever Snyder? Yeah, maybe ever say I I feel like George wheener might say something. Yeah, okay, so more than one. Yeah, but I mean it. there. If there any like former eighty seven's listening, it's gotta say. I like this is. This is not easy and one thing I will say too, I think it really is a testament to the organization to Adam Julie Matt Heernon, all the coaches and the players, the fact that there is so much talent where it is hard to choose. Bob, the team that has been around as long. I mean I know they're starting up. Yeah, AF there now, but wait until we get to the original teams. The teams has been the teams that have been in since the ehl a form, the two thousand and thirteen. Right, the teams like the Rangers, the little flyers, the apple core will express. Those are going to be top episodes because ten is not a big number. You know what? You know what's going to be easier for us as the twenty at anniversary. That'll be a little bit easier at that point. Right. What was that? This is my security system with that my fiances leaving us. Okay, we do probably that. We had a fifth voice there for a second. I didn't know what that was. Right, that's serious security. Security series. I think finds us that too, but I may have that turned off. I'd be fun to listen to. Yeah, certain that one off the next SEP sorry, group, but you know, we're going to do one of these every single week throughout the summer.

Obviously, for some of the new teams that are coming in, we won't be able to pick top ten right but you know for the teams that have existed since the league was formed that I'll make it even tougher for us. So we start off the year with New Jersey seven. Round two, week two, if you will, will feature the East Coast Wizards, who are almost an original team. They'll have, let's see what they are there. They'll have eight of the nine years to go off of. So we'll start, we'll start doing our research for that one. Sounds good. Can't wait. Who was he? Thanks, guys.
