On this week's episode were joined by another guest who will play a role in the upcoming ehl frozen finals. Chris Russel will be inside the glass for all of the EHL Games, as well as providing the color commentary for all of the EHLP Games in Providence. Starting off and the weekly run down, we welcome a familiar face back inside the EH l power rankings and make a small swap in the EH LP. As for the e crew fantasy challenge, we continue to pump jeff's tires with after another fifty point performance and then wrap up the episode with a special what to watch for a segment. All right, guys, another episode of the podcast and guess what it's going to do in a couple days. Five, four, three, two, one regular season. See, you know, it's going to pour snow. Jeffs what I always says. Oh, that's right, I'm all of a place. I'm stressing out. Games are getting moved again. But what's great and PTSD for my last crash in the last no storm. You know what I should have done, Jeff, because today it's so nice. Thought I should have gone golfing today, like it's that it's that Nice Country Club open today. They gotta be right. I wish. But another really busy week has just come to a close in the EHL, leading into our last week of the EHL regular season, and we have another special guest on this week. Welcome to the show podcast with a second time, Chris Russo Hi Leo Anda Brinos Riz. Had to think your time, because we did that episode for the finals last year, probably against covid policy. We sat very close together in one room. I had one shot already, I believe that. But with that, let's get in the we the run down it's time for the e cruise weekly run down the shore. Week we run down is brought to you by the junior hockey podcast. You won't be Junia Hockey News Knowledge in nonsense. Check them out. A TJJ PODCASTCOM will start by saying that this episode is probably going to be named verse everybody, because two of you have this shirt saw. That's a insert team named here. Verse Everyone. I have a done Andrew Tremble. I have a duck's Jersey on. Justin has wallpole stuff on. Anthony. Do you solve the eighty seven ring on? Okay, that works to it, so just does as well. Yes, at least all I had. I try to avoid logos, but this is just pure swack. So we have five different teams represented here. It's a good day for us. Good Day. I don't know if those are the five teams, though, in the EHL power rankings, and I don't even know where to begin with these, because more than one team lost inside the top five. So to recap what it was last week, the little flyers were one hundred eighty seven s were two, lumberjacks were three, avalanche were four and wolves were five. About three hours, two hours after we name the little flyers number one. They were like, you know what, Column Bell, if you want to just go score and score and score again, and actually almost comment came back in that game. But are they? Are they still number one right now? Did somebody do enough to pass them? HMM, some time of year seems to starting to heat up. I mean someone we're going to talk about getting on. They're not going to be number one. But the Rangers just called their game the other day. You're now on a seven game...

...winning streak now, like quietly head up the right, like, yeah, very quietly. They're scoring goals again. They've been not giving up goals all year. Now they're starting to get their offense, Josh runs, really keeping up. There's so I want them in the conversation for in the top five, not for number one. And so everyone knows we have this podcast. This is the last podcast of the regular seat and will be of EHL regular season. I should say it will be dropping one the day to play in Games, a playing game singular has played for the EHL. That would still leave one week of EH LP regular season left. So in a way this is the second to last Eh Shel power rankings, because the next one that we do is the last one that kind of sets the table for the postseason. So they mail look a little bit different because this week I'm kicking the APS out, I think completely out. I think they have to be. Do we put the D Sevens too one? No, because they they smit with the with the Apple Corps. Yeah, they they had a pretty tough loss the Apple Corps six two with a Charles lays one more times. I think a little. Wars still have to stay number one because not anyone enough, teams, that enough behind them right as I say, we can at as I say that the wolves are raising their hands say and they should jump there, but I don't know if they can. To jump them from five to one, I would put seems a little dramatic. No, we gotta move them up so a few spots. The wolves also want a seven game win streak, like the rangers grabs Andrew Tremble and Tim feens and Connor Beats. They've really figured things out. This was like last year, right with the Walpo Express, when they started out slow then they got really hot towards the end of the year. Number one point the wolves had lost at won what one game? Two Games and then they've really figured things out of there. They've switched out some goaltending, added the famous any grid. You it is of the yevs from a previous episode and Laconia. They looked. I was just gonna say William Kilgallen looks so good. I got to watch one of the Games against the number Jacks. He's one what he's less. Hence Pars a love. So did you see last seven game winner by commando the other day? Is the avalanche who stinky game winning assists? Sorry, if if I had said it would have got corrected also, but he made putting, he made the play and then Johnston put it home just every moost. Johnston was on the red team, which was Lauren. Seeing the all star classics comes to they go right both my little red all stars. Unfortunately Motel with that move and then he's someone adds no more points to your fantasy because of that. But back to back on track to reset these rankings. I do think the wolves jump up as you as you guys were alluding to. What I put them at three right now. I'd put little fires still at one, eighty seven to two seven, twolves at three, and then you could maybe kick both Vermont and the ABS out. They didn't win. Have some of them playing some the avalanche of not been playing inspired hockey this last stretch of ten, fifteen games. They didn't win any games this past week. Wait, so neil hang out. WHEREOULD BJRGO? For they gotta go. I think. I think for for B Jars, I would go little flyers, bjr, New England. Then you jersey, whoa hit that he's going rangers out to a number two. That's gonna put a smile over so never, never, seventeen, seventeen winning streak and there so one of the best teams in the League. How can you not put them up to I just don't think that's fair for them. The top differentials in the League as well. We have silence. That's just the way I see it. I can't put Rangers into all right, Jeff, pick a side two or five,...

...because that's what we said for. Okay, this is a for is. Does that mean three, because we have two, four and five already covered. We're just split the difference the road three. I'm voting for for. I say four. To for Bjr, Anthony says to, Lawrence says five. CRIZZY gotta you gotta jump in here. Where do the Rangers go from outside to end? You and Richard Caper, you have that connection with those movie quotes. Buddy, let's true. I. Yeah, I know he's like an adult me at but I'm not. I'm not a child. Let me clarify that. Anyway, that was great. Yet first of all, I just want to say Anthony's objectivity bumping the eighty seven to four. Yeah, put I'm at Chow Rages are too Chris, welcome in now we actually have a split. Some yell over room. I guess we know it's two to do it. Acts Stud two to one. So just take your producer, was it of Ouz coming kick and you think, but five, please, because now we're two to two and we don't have time to bring another guests on. And if you say receiving votes, we're going to reach through the screed. I'm going. I'm going for okay, thank you. I think that would set though, little flyers. Eighty seven, fols one, two, three and then five is the next question Tosso just drop the lumbies, you you keep the lumberjacks in right now. I say we go to the Premier Raiki's. We just make this a for forteen race of this week. Easy way out. Tight number five. Yeah, exactly, it's me. I hate we have one vote to keep the lumberjacks at five. Is there anybody else that has a vote for someone different? I don't think there's really anybody. That's not enough to jump in. So it's like, I don't think so. Yeah, the ABS kind of unfortunately, we're on it like a bit more of a downturn than the lumberjack square. So I think um projection drop down to five. Just kind of leave it at that. The silence tells me keep the ABS of five or the lumberjacks to five. So let's go with that. No receiving votes and we just motivated the avalanche completely. SORTA less shaking his head now, don't okay. Yes, before we get to the EH LP, which we're going to spend more time on this episode, I do want to talk on a few more items in the EHL. First, it's funny how each of the for division races are different. Right so verry the north is done, the ass play the spartans rematch from last year and the wolves play the lumberjacks rematch from last year. Difference Between Wolves and lumberjacks last year and this year is the lumberjacks were playing in Waterville valley last year, so they went back and forth for all three games. This year they're back in Vermont. So the wolves host every game for that series and from what a lot of cal coaches in the League have said, maybe this will fire up Vermont. Those are the two toughest places to play and whoever got home ice is going to win that series. So there's a belief that the walls will win that series. But we get we dim perfect neal to. I get a little step nugget, so look it up. The Wolves series with the lumberjacks this year. Wolves won the series for two. They want two out of the last three matchups. Yeah, and they've won three out of four games. The wolves have at Meryl Fay Arena with the entire three games on the toughest places to play. So right for the East division, the Rangers and express are locked into one, two and from there we touched us a little bit last week. The Wizards and warriors have a huge game coming up soon. There's that fair because it's supposed to be Friday. They wanted to be Friday. The snow is coming Friday, though, and if they don't play Friday will be Tuesday. So ideally, with each team having two games left and even with points, he would think whoever wins that game of voids the playing game in against the seahawks.

But we'll see how it plays out. The central the railers have clinched one and that's all that's done so far. There's a chance for the other teams to jockey around a little bit, but it looks like we'll have a connecticut versus connectican series between the rough riders and chiefs, and then all the little megan the entire world. Yes, but episode, I forget what number that was. It was a great episode before the doing to shoocase. But now, but now, I really want to get Chris more involved as we get to this south division and then the EHLP, because I got to see the south a bunch of last week. I'm a little road trip down there and it just confirmed everything that I thought before. And then some. Whoever shows up like truly shows up in the playoffs is going to win the south. Anyone can win it. Those four teams are so equal standings tell you that to standing season series. But if the seven's broadcasters, Chris and Anthony, speak up here, I'm going to ask you this question. At the seven don't win, which I know that's where your heart starts, are pouring you, who is the next best team in that division? I mean, for a while I think I would have said Maryland, but as of lated probably said a little flyers. Yeah, but he's sticking with that too. It's yeah, I agree with that. I mean I said it last week that the little flyers look like last year's eighty seven team. They're just so loaded offensively and they're scary team to play against. They really are. I had like the P team to. There's a something going on over there in Philadelphia and both programs are just having a terrific season. So we steak. Did you get one of those newly? I did get a cheese steak at the review. Yeah, I had. Okay, so last Thursday was incredibly unhealthy for me. Right, so I had a really look, I had it. I had a I had a big rap breakfast sanus from the hotel. So That's how you start today, right then I get a cheese steak from the rink. Then I ate more crab fries, which I don't even know what crab fries still even are, but it was some sort of seasoning right at my right pres as little bay. Yeah, Old Bay, I could yeah, crab fries. Crab fries are very good and I can tell you that's more of a like Philly Baltimore type thing, even though Rampon and Iron Orth Jersey Crab fries, I'm pretty sure just fries with old bay seasoning, which is fantastic. I've got some Old Bay popcorn in my pantry right now, so fantastic. I had like a thousand at the flyers game last Thursday and then the next morning I was like, I think my heart is about to come through my chest, but that's also probably accurate, like I made it home before that happened, but fun trip. But and that he mentioned this earlier, like with a little fires thing. That game I went to that day was a little flyers rough riders and the rough riders jumped out to this I think it was either three nothing or for nothing leave and then the little fires were like you know what, we're going to score now, and it was just you were you were there when Colum Bella became the all time leading scorer for the EHL. He could have scored eight goals in that game, like every chance, every time he set on the ice, he had chance to score. It was insane. It was absolutely insane. And what it feels like right now, and I'm wearing a ducks Jersey as I say this, right it feels like. I mentioned the rematches before for our North Division. It feels like we're on a crash course for an eighty seven little fires matchup in the South Division finals. Be Good, yeah, be our. Maryland and pro check just repeated that line over and over again in their lockers. Terry Watts smiling. He's a terry, is like, I'll take that Jersey back right now. Yep, he says. Some that's a lauren or jeff or someone else. You don't deserve it. But that does get us over to the EH LP. We had tyler a Rega on last week because Tyler's going to be calling the play byplay for all the EHL Games of...

...the finals. Chris Russo's on this week because he's gonna be doing the color commentary for Anthony's play byplayer for all the EHLP Games and as we broke down all the races last week. Now we get a chance to do it this week in the EHLP. Do we want to talk races first, or do you want to talk power ratings first? Leave the powering. He's out of the way. Yeah, let's out of the way. It those over with. Okay. Well, what was that? They say? Want to get it over with, Jeff, I guess. So over with? Yeah, we didn't. We didn't make any changes last week because we are so stumped about what to do. It was also late at night, probably passed my bedtime, to be totally honest. But for the avalanche, they were number one. They went out and they won the one game that they played this past week. I think it's sad to say, they stay at number one. Yeah, they been consistent. Yeah, and for the Rangers, they split their games and we're going to know, we're going to talk about this east division in a little bit in the racist taken place there, because kind of similar to how tough the south is in the Ehl, I think the same can be said about the east of the EH LP, as this past week the Rangers lost to the warriors and then beat the chiefs. So something to think about there. The railers this past week or they entered the week at twenty three, eight and two. They want all three of their games to get the twenty six, eight and two. I'm quite disappointed because I had hyped this rangers railers game on my birthday Friday for the longest time and it's being moved all the way out to the night and they're tied in the standings. Is this as easy as the railers go to two and the Rangers follow three? I think so sounds good to me. Yeah, theal's birthdays Friday. Didn't know, and birthday twenty fifth of Februar could be the big three. One day it's gonna pour snowbody'RE gonna be stuck inside. Feel what, I guess. So we've all kind of birthdays that day. What what a gift the snow is. So if we're okay with flipping them, that puts the railers at two, rangers at three. And then the little flies went out one both their games. So we're kind of staying the same. whattle fires stay up for about the Vermont Lumberjacks? They picked up a couple ones. Do they deserve to go into? But who, but who, were they take? What spot would they take right? I don't think they would. They might even votes. I think they got. They got votes last week. They can get votes this week. The only team that lost the game was the rangers and they split their games. They lost the warriors, who are good team, and they beat the chiefs. It's kind of the same as last week. Just flip the railers and Rangers. I would agree. Anthony seems like he reluctantly agrees. Keep it easy. So we're going to playoff time. Okay. Well, let's talk about East each division now. So let's start in the north. It's funny how I have to. I do have to make mention of this. We move the warriors to the north and now they get to probably most likely go to Vermont for their playoff series. Is that? Is that an automatic we're going to be a third game series, or is that Vermont homeize advantage as important as it is for the wolves versus them in the EHL. Say every time I've watched the game, because I went to two in January. I've watched Quin few throughout the season. The lumberjacks, emp are really good at home. They use the home ice absolutely as much as possible to their advantage and it like it works for them. I'm not saying make picture and a baby. I'm not saying make picts right now, but no, but I'm but, like you, just it's where you ask them. I think. I think Vermont uses their home, I absolutely to their advantage. They're really good at home and, like we mentioned, the Wolves Ehl team won every single matchup of Meryl Frad versus the lumberjacks this year. Three Games in, three wins for the wolves lumberjacks. Can you do that with a letty arena? Hmm, I...

...guess that. The tough part that I'm that I'm finding is like the lumberjacks going to the wolves ehl and warriors going to the the lumberjacks e hlp. Those are great matchups and maybe if they face somebody else, the team that loses that series wins that series, if that makes sense, like like the warriors had it had had a great year in the EH LP. Yeah, is it just? Is it just a faith though, that they have to go to Vermont, try king show up and up and Vermont, but then the other matchup there is a chance it's not that right. If the lumberjacks lose out in the warriors went out. There is a chance that the warriors can pass them, but that's there's a lot of help that would need to be add but for the wolves and avalanche, it looks like that matchup is destined. We gonna? Are we going to give the wolves any bulletin board, a serial right now? Or do we? Do we feel that we're destined, as I said before, for that little fires eighty sevens match up in the Ahl? Are we destined for another rematch avalanche versus Lumberjackson and North Finals, ehlp, because that was the matchup last year? Are we destined for that same thing? It's save Vermont prevailed being killed. Jerie was pretty sour at the frozen vinals about it. Thought he should have been there. Do they seek revenge this year? Jamber, when he decided to take the trophy out of my hotel room and one for a run with it? Yes, he said this is mine and left, but does it? Does it? Are we doesn't feel like we're destined for that again. I think the avalanche P Yeah, but we've talked about my movie all picked a lot of these pe guys, Nick Passilia's lane brew, Bick or Egner neils exciting lea email went out this week to everybody and all the coaches, putting in there MVP's rookie of the years. All we're starting to see all these different names shuffling. I would say we're probably on that crash course. I think the avalanche offensively maybe a little deeper this year than they were last year at the premier level. So I think that it would be a heck of a series and you might see the avalanche prevail. Sorry, Seth Gust and I know you're a massive ban of the new of the show, one of our new fans. We heard. Well, but I don't know, but I think. I think this avalanche premier team has been lights out and they've been consistent all year and it seems like that might be the crash worst. Neil as lumberjacks P round too, if that, if that is the matchup last year when they faced each other the abs one game one, the lumberjacks won game two and overtime and then they won game three in double overtime to make it to their first ever trip to the EHLP frozen files and the avalanche e h LP have never been to the frozen files. This is their third year in the league. So Yeah, interesting to watch. I mentioned maybe see avalanche pmake it, but not avalanche. When you submit your bracket, Jeff, by all means go right ahead and do that, right. I go off. Go ahead and do that, because your face will get printed out and put on every single salt and the avalanche locker. Hello to see how we get to eat this cancer through Sony. How are you we get to the ease, which I mentioned? Feels like it's as tough as the south is in the EH shel so I'll ask this question. I get. Are we destined for a railers for Rangers? Read us, because that was a matchup last year. Where we listening to the end of that on the ride down to Westchester. MEA who were in the car? The caboose? We were in the car. Yes, you're in the tank, not the car. I so I rented a GMC Yukon. Yeah, and I had a great time driving it. I didn't hit anything until I have the curb in the parking lot of the hotel and we pulled it over that for real. The courls like all right, but a little bit of the tomato saucer left over cal zone in the back, but I remember that. I can clean it up. Well. Remember the shuffle. Member, you guys are all there...

...for that. Why do this, Lauren, Adjustin the shuffle of us out of that thing. You guys are all there. Got Two of the six lasts. Are All there. Quick math to but yeah, those fun shuffling us all, all of us, in and out of but shy, you cold. Does it feel like like we're destined for that, because we're the tough part about the playoffs is, and I've learned this in my time in this league, you're going to have people, teams that get knocked out that had great seasons. Right. So, when we just talked about the warriors, Hlpjas had a great season, the Seahawks, EHLP team, has had a great season. Walks IDN'TS as had a solid years. Is Somebody going to get in the way of that? Railers, rainjurers, potential rematch? Or is that where we're going with this? Is that what we think it's going to be? I was gonna say asking Anthony and Ruce and Chris Russo about the defending champion eighty seven s premier. They've seen to heat up in the second half could they be a team that maybe gives some of these teams an issue? Right, I'll defer. I'll defer to Anthony First. Wait, so are we going to the South Division round? Object to skip the e didn't like you. Sorry, railers. Okay, yeah, yeah, but I asked this question because we're bringing four teams to the EHLP finals this year and if you look at the way they are shaping up right now, if the teams that are in first place in their division all each win in the playoffs and win their division, make their punster take it there. Our fourth team, are at large team on paper right now comes from that east division, unless something crazy happens along the way and somebody gets upset. Somebody could get upset in that division. Are there's are the seahawks prime to upset someone, or are we destined for that Rangers railers series? I think so. I don't think the railers were the absolute unbeatable team that we saw at the start of the season. Where they've cooled off a little bit, teams have been able to beat them. So yeah, I think that a team like the seahawks could pull off an upset or move on a team that you saw a thousand times against the eighty seven. Sorry, you go, Chris. No, it's fine, I don't well, I could tell you this year. Look, Anthony, and I've said this multiple times, that we think that the sevens and probably the railers are two of the I would say the junior rangers are up there to avalanche. Obviously there are a lot of great programs in this league, but eighty sevens and railers top to bottom, from an on ice standpoint, at the hl the HLP, from I mean we take we're proud here, but from the broadcasting standpoint, for for us and for for the the production standpoint from the railers. I was enough to stand next to Trevor Blackburn for for much of those frozen finals last year. Two of the best run organizations top to bottom. And I would have to imagine it's going to be. Look, you guys know my specialties the south, but I would I would have to imagine it's going to be Boston on the jewel and the and the railers again. I but think and and the great point that you brought up, Anthony, is the railers got out to such a hot start that it was almost impossible for them, the main team that pace. Right, we talked about on this podcast for I couldn't tell you how long, how it took them, it felt like forever, to give up double digit goals. Right, they had all those shutouts in a row, in a row. They were one of the last teams too, as far as all actually, no, yeah, it was the double digitals there mind. I was thinking of another step. That was the one child, and part of that was one. Part of that was Davier Lapierre, right, who the and the year of the hlp level, and justifiably so,...

...is with the H L team. Now it's no slots to cam wickens, right, but it's going to be interesting to see if that plays out because just like the avalanche will be looking for revenge over the lumberjacks. That that's the series saying. Can Be said for the Rangers, for the railers. But that gets us to the south. Where not gonna ask the question. Well, I'M gonna. I'm going to be a broken record again, right, like, I've said this, I couldn't tell you how many times in this podcast, but are we destined again for a little fires versus eighty seps? The cheeves going to make some noise with in that division. The chiefs can definitely make some noise that at the EHLP level. They're a big team, they are a very physical team and I think that those two combine with age and experience, this is a team that can use that to their advantage. I think that kind of like what we had always said about team Marilyn last season. There a team that is probably built for play hockey where they have a lot of jam into their game and whoever they face in the first round, yeah, I think they're going to give their opponents a very tough time advancing. So I think for the chiefs they are definitely team that could surprise people and went around and potentially come out in the south. I will say that, at least as we record this, Connecticut had the chiefs of a lot more games in hand the most of these teams. I will say they also have a much tougher schedule, but based on the amount of games they have left, the only one one point back of the sevens. It looks like they very well could end up with the two seed. Actually, as we record this, a theoretically could end up with a one seat, although that's highly unlikely. But they are more than two hundred twenty five miles right the yeah, they could end up with home ice against would be the eighty sevens, because we know the rough riders are the rough riders. The route renegades are definitely ended up with fourth. The chiefs could get home ice for the in higher series. And Look, they've played the eighty sevens well this year. I could see Connecticut making some noise. If you have to go play two or three games on the road, it's not easy. I it's funny the eighty seven's this year where the P team is now, where the EHL team was. It's kind of the opposite of what it was around November, early December before the HL team went on its huge run and then the the P team kind of fell off. But they've won six of nine in the New Year. The other thing is, I didn't even think about it, they've only played yeah, they've only played two games at Jersey shore arena in the New Year and they've only played three since thanksgiving. So you know they've but they've gotten stronger since two thousand and twenty two started. So I don't think it's a I don't think it's a given that it's little flyers. Eighty sevens. I think it's more of a given that it's going to be the little flyers because the renegades are a little easier to face. But eighty seven chiefs might actually end up being the best series out of that division if we it's a fair point and I guess to the to the stat you just brought up, it's going to be tough because the TEF will host every game in that series. Right, but does it help the sevens in that they've been playing so much on the road lately that they're going to be more a custom and ready for it? Well, that help them? Yeah, I think so. Just like a Chris said. I mean what, three Home Games since thanksgiving? That's ridiculous. I mean I wonder who is responsible for yeah, that's who makes the schedule here. After the right. Let's go back to the original episode of this there's an episode of this podcast and and our second favorite segment and they put the other thing about this eighty seven S P team and Chris and I've brought it up numerous suns on the PODCAST, this is a super young team. Like seventy five percent of this team played with the Jersey shore whale or sixteen. You team last season.

So for a lot of them it's their first STAS of junior hockey. A lot of players who were on the championship team for the EHLP for the eighty sevens, they're playing for the eighteen you team right now, but they're playing youth hockey. So the only player currently on the roster who won that championship, as I'm showing my ring off to the the camera, that's it, is Nick molder. Originally originally a Rob Calis. Played a couple of PT Pe Games early this season but he's back with the eighteen you team. So right now is just nick molder. He's the only player that is active from last season's team. So I think on one hand it'll be tough for them, but because they played so many road games, if they do have to face the chiefs in Newington then yeah, they'll be ready for it and I think that they can put up a heck of a fight well. That's why I think the difference also is between the eighty sevens and the railers. We got to see the eighty sevens on the railers in the final last year in the EHLP final, and I think the railers is just developed a little more quickly. But that's also because, again, Anthony's absolutely right, they have eighty sevens of one of the youngest teams in the League and the factor, even as good as they are right now, is something for the development of these guys. For only one guy to come back really with police of the eighteen, you only one guy to come back. I think they have to see this a lot of teams. I think they have a pretty good top six with the O'Brien's will and Anthony, no relation, Olenski, boker, Alexander Harr has a lot of pure talent, ca and then's you know, kind of Kata, Miller, Lucas, burn out con berries, and then they're going to have Ian Lindbergh come down from the EHL roster and and put down on the P team, kind of the way that Owen New House was put on to the P team last year and had a really good run during the postseason and ended up they ended up winning, and I would say that Jason Lorico is really emerged as a fantastic goaltender in its first year with the EHLP program. So before we get to fantasy, Chris, because you're not going to be here for the next time that we do this. You get to do it now, since you're the color guy for all the EHLP Games. What for EHLP teams are we going to see in providence on the spots right now? You are ready, for sure. Deals would do this to us all season. So joy this one, um man. I'm going to make so many people angry. Okay, I mean, I agree the rest of the podcast. I think you realize this is coming in a week. So he prepared. This is a tea's okay. Well, can remember the format in the first place? Well, there's I would the three days, have two winners and then, yeah, he of usure, and then the the best regular season record if you get to the second round. So I would say I think the railers are going to be one of them. Okay, I'd probably say the railers and Djr are going to be two representatives from the east. So once even last year, once even, wasn't the last year like that? And then in need, I need a north champion and a south champion. Yeah, it's really a it really is a toss up between the ABS and the lumberjacks. I'll pry. I'll stick with the ABS. That's probably the safe pick. Okay, to do teams, Rangers as and then and then your division. Who Want you save this south for last? A boy, can I do process of all nation? I'm going to say no chiefs, no renegades. I'll start with that. Okay, and there you go too, left man, who wins a little fires US eighty sevens and the South Division finals. I almost think of it as I mean the eighty sevens took the little flowers to overtime after last the last time, being beaten by them six to one. It's kind of a puric victory. Yep, let's go with New Jersey Day. I'll take the seventh and defending champions get back to the frozen finals, but this time the first time in...

Providence. So they make to do teams in. Two teams from last year was an eighty sero return rages announced to be two new guy. I like that. I'll just point out for Mark Cattron on the locker room, it very well could be either the Heck A. Very well could be Connecticut. I don't know, but it's Oh God, just don't make me a meme in that locker room. That's for the list for the little flyers. The last time we had the finals in Providence, both teams made it. It's remember that, Jeff, I do. And then last year when he had the final us some Philly, neither teammate it. Yeah, can't right there shouts to me anyways. And but that I don't think even came right. We were like, Oh, maybe, are you game? No, he came. He did that. It was brief. But with that, let's get to fantasy. It's time for the e crew fantasy challenge and the ecrew fantasy challenge designed by Bible stealing the sports drink of the pho used to Promo Code e show. That's B s how for twenty five percent off when you check out at Bible steelcom. Jeff, you suck. Guess why? Ha Ha, because I'm almost near first. No, because you put up sixty plus points two weeks in a row and he only got the fifty this week. So on the week I'm so awesome, we can last freaking blows while I was some mid sucks. All have to get the goal horn out there. Executive Brucesqueteriri, drop the F bomb. So you. I still keep telling myself that there's time left, but there's another time there's not the much lessons. So we for version ample watch for the my God, for this week's fantasy picks, we are selecting players for the day that we're dropping this to twenty four through the seventh because of the different games that are being canceled. I'd hate to have someone pick someone based off the game that supposed to be the twenty five, but then it falls outside the windows. So these are our last fantasy pics. That's like the last power rankings for the regular season. Then when we get to the postseason, because the series just don't want up at all, with the ehlp falling later than the EHL, we're going to have two rounds of fantasy left for just ehl picks, first and second round. So I do have a little bit of time left. because there's the bracket also. So if I think of her, if I pick a perfect bracket, I get a knock and fudge the numbers. Ti Yet enough points to jump all the way up by he's gonna Fudge the numbers. So to recap this past week, well, I me because because the fantasy challenge at this one is becoming raving ball. The rules are just changing him. I had one if I had won both years that we've done this, I would agree. And the name of the year one. I did. I did not win, Jeff One. And No, I did not change the rules in the year one. To recap last week's picks, will start with Lauren. He's picking first. This week. She had Jordan Camill. I get Aaron assist, Alex Newton. It was a really nice school but just one goal on in the cyst. Lenny pernell played actually really well in those two losses to the lumber chart, to the knee to the wolves, but didn't win either game. Nothing for Brandy Clark. A goal and assist and a power play point for six fantasy points. For Max Greco. Even in a down week she puts up twenty point four points. Yay. Let's go your new tikes. So I said heavy hitters last week, but like for the responses I got when I turned in my pics, these are some heavy hitters. It is against the rule. Pople are very selsy about this because I make sended to day. So, starting out of front, it should be pretty obvious that he should be one of the first to be selected. Columbella from the rough riders. Kid is gross. He just puts up all kinds of points. Don't leave him a little with the PUCK, because he's gonna do good things with it, whether he gets it in the net...

...or decides to share the wealth and pass it off to somebody else to put it in. He he just all kinds of points all the time. On Defense, this guy has definitely turned his game around in the second half of the season. Mr Dom Charco from the chiefs. He was started a little quiet in the first half, but then towards the end of that first half and at the beginning of the second half and since he is just taken off and doing a lot better for himself, getting some points and getting himself on the score sheet when he needs to. So about it, be good and for goaltending. I'm excited to pick this guy up. I have loved watching him play this season. Mr Stefan Cool Honick. Love Him. He's such a character and he's so good when he's in net. So I'm excited to have him back and, for my utility, pick another big goal score point getter. Callin cawman from the apple core. He is just so good at when he does, just like Columbella, and he's someone you don't you? Also, you don't want to leave him alone with the puck is he does good things with it. He recently hit hundred care points, so congrats for that and I'm excited to pull him in. And for my Hlp Pick, I'm picking a familiar name for team low. I'm bringing back Philip Parker from the wall pole express. He is, I think, right around like a two point per game player for the Pe Heath leads the league. He's just so good and he's one of the ones in the PEA you don't want to leave him a little the fuck to. He's big dude, he's not afraid of throws weight around. His puck almost always ends up in the net or passed off to someone to put in the net if he has it. So I'm excited for this group. Still Cheating. You can't pick both of those guys at once. Just say can't pick thatllen these anal good. I'll take count man. Will you, though, because he's already on my team. Got You like called him. I was like, wait a minute, let's repeat. There column Bella, by the way, thirty six goals. He's getting very close to forty. And in that q Anda had with him. He has a bet going on with these older brother to see it's gonna happy if he can. What idea for each have you just like it's five games. Last he needs five goals to pass. It's a cup of coffee from D Tomal game gitting possible, as say, there's a game. What? A couple weeks ago he had like four five goals. Yeah, not worried. Yeah, I think he gets it. Yes to okay. Well, tore recap my week. I got to pick second, even though I put up thirty two point four points. Connor macdonell, clap for you. Connor macdonelle is my guy this year. Yeah, here's I said catter macddet. I haven't how I had to do there. It is apparently macdanel. I learned the hard way on this. Pocess Chris, trust me, but he had two goals for assists past week. Matt Herrick had an assist. Nathan Miller got to win in his only game that he played for the ranchers. Three assess for Jake Murphy and then assist for Ethan Decker all led to thirty two point four points for me, which I thought thought was a good week. At used to me. Yeah, thanks, Jeff. That was such a like a Oh, that's a good job, you're trying. Good job. Many glad of you. I'm a peach of you, cheeks. Yes, so my picks this week. We're going to start up front because the game I got to see this kid play just now and I'm wearing a Jersey of their team, Tyler Epiley. I watched to put up four points in the game against Maryland. They have four games left, two games against the rough riders to game. It's a it's a little flyers. A simple four points per game is all I ask. It's not too hard to ask anyways. To Defense, Karen Chung is only an old four defenceman. He's a legit candidate for rookie of the year this year. When Colin Bella is scoring, he has assisting. He had five assists this past week. I'm going with Nathan Miller again because he only gave me one start last week and with the way that this thing is trending, the avalanche of opened up the door a little bit to the Rangers for the regular season title and with four games...

...left, rich, just play Miller, simple, just playing all for four wins. I'll take the points. I've wanted to pick this last guy for a while. I think he's quietly one of the best oh two's in the league. Let's just hope that he does what he did for Jeff the week Jeff picked, and that's Jack Lee. I think he put up twenty four fantasy points that week. Jeff picked them. So that was that was. That was disgusting. And then for my p player this week, I'm going with another O two. It's Nathan Guinness. The wolves have a bunch of games between now and the end of this fantasy week. I think they played six times or seven times, so we're gonna go strictly off game count and hope that at least something special. So we'll get to anthony now. Anthony, I put up thirty two, point four point. Thought that was good, and you put up forty seven, point four points. In most weeks to probably pick first, but because Jeff's exists, you don't. Well, the lucky got you. Three goals, three assists, one power play point, declan house, three assists, going in. Mobley a win with nine point four fantasy points, Adam bill as a goal and four assists, and Dylan Zabo, like going an assist, forty, seven point. Four points put you out for the last week of the regular season in the AHL. All right, as I try to make a comeback from the basement of the e show, fancy challenge. Let's go with the Kansas Native on the Connecticut Rough Riders, Dallas the motto. Yes, four points in his last two games. He's been playing well. He will be at my forward position. For Defense. Hopefully he won't get suspended this time now that I paid them. Ryan Bro he had a point out of this sexenden room, Harland and there for three win over them. So he'll be my defensive back on team Anthony going to stick with the protect junior ducks and I'm going to go out there goaltender Trey Millar. He only has one win in his last three starts. However, into those three starts he's face over forty shots. In another start he faced thirty eight shots. That was a two one loss against the little flyers. So he has been playing well, he has been stopping pox and if the offense keep click in front of him, then he'll be able to get back on the wind column. No problem for my utility player. I'm going with Damon DULAC. He has thirty five points and forty one games this season, including a two point game against the Seahawks, two points on Tuesday in their way against the Sundhawks. And I have to go for the big gun, going back to the player who absolutely raked in points for me the first time we picked the hlp players, and that's trunk King. No cheap goals, all highlight, real talks Trun game, with three points in his last two games, including two points in their last one against New England Wolves back off February twenty, and so, trunk king, welcome back to team Athany when you pick them. Last he had two goals, three assists and three power play points for fifteen total points. So that was a good week. And speaking of good weeks, this is just getting ridiculous now, Jeff. The last three weeks you've put up sixty six point four, sixty three point four and fifty one point two. So technically you are trending downwards, but but still in the S as Kalip Colin Gallan and got you a goal and three assists, one shorthanded point. We will really honestly goal and assist and a power play point for Chris Blanco, two wins for Joseph Henson, two goals, three assists in a game winner for Josh Grunt, a goal and assist and too, power play points for Jade Blackburn. And what didn't count for Blackburn was a shootout winner because those don't count right. So...

...it could have been even in that shootout that I'm listen, allowed to include in top plays. Wow, okay. Anyway, it's fifty one point, two points for it. Jeff. Can you put up fifty again? Jeff, I'm six point, four points away from eclipsing or tie Lauren Smith. Six Way. That was like s some how points. As I know, my penthouse until the last week. We go and low is in some trouble. Kids leave. Will see you who have some relation. Yeah, it's up, it's I'm common kid. I'm coming. Love you. But so let's see. Where do we start this week? In the Jeff Zigzag of my picks, we're gonna go would forward. Nick Webber. Picked him many, many moons ago. As we said, the apple core one team that plays a lot this week in Leeve. It's five total games. Webber has been good as of late. Has Been really good all season. Fifty two points and thirty seven games. Really Big power play guys. Got Fourteen points on the power play. Even has a game winner and a shortage of assist in there, but on his last three games he's two goals and six assists. So Hoping Webber can continue to dominate. And then Charles the Voi. I'm surprised you guys didn't pick him after his four goal game. Not surprised, it aunt they didn't pick them because, for the those four goals came against the sevens. But I'M gonna go with the void, go with the hot hand. Scored Four goals and one Gamer ced sevens last week. Is Up to nineteen points in twenty four games, so almost a point per game player. So he is going to be my utility. So I went with those two. First we're following along home becaus around the same team, and then we're going to continue the zigzag to let's see, my defense, Tim Duffy, late pick. I was going to pick here in in Chung and then, I believe, empony, wh would you pick for d because you had someone I pay. I picked Chump, you pick chunk. will go with Duffy. Chiefs play a lot this week. He's had a goal and five assists in his last five games. He's always a guy in the back end that, like Captain Shako, can put in points with the vengeance. Not sure about my goalie pick. And why would Jeremy Conner, eight sevens played twice this week O, when Haynes may start one of those games? I love a lot of confidence right now? Yeah, not a lot of confidence and less coach, holy love you. Can you start Jeremy both games? Then maybe we get some it's just it's that point of the year. While I was trying to look at schedules and I don't know, some teams might be resting players. Then we got that extension because of the snow into the seventh. That kind of screw me up, but we'll go with Jeremy Conner. Hope he plays both games and we'll see what happens there. Jackson Douquette, I've been good at finding these railers guys this year. I found Jack Lee. There's someone else in the rows I think I found too, but gonna go back and remember that. Or maybe it was someone else in the PA, but anither way, Jackson Dukett has been very good of late. Two goals three assists in his last five games. He's up the twenty eight points and thirty six games. Didn't want to go with the sexy conner Mac Aleer. Want to go with the Jackson do Kett, who's kind of the under the radar guy, because we picked Mac a Weir a few times this season. So we're going to go to k because he's been pretty good recently and I got faith we'll get points. Well, get over sixty. I don't know what passed larm. I hope, but no, no, you will not. Lo says, though there's a Dow cat, there's a do set. And one thing that's consistent about Jeff you never know what order he's going to pick his players. Ain't never know. Twenty next week, but not next week and two weeks that. The standings where they stand right now. Lauren is at six seventy three point two points, jeff set six hundred and sixty eight point, six hundred and sixty six point eight points, anthony six seventeen point four and I'm at six h four point eight. So after this week will figure out just exactly how many points to Brackett is worth.

So with that, let's get to what to watch for. Before we wrap things up, here's what to watch for. It this week in the east. Show what to watch forth presented by Hockey TV, the official streaming platform for your EHL and EHLP action through the two thousand and twenty one, two thousand and twenty two season. So I'm going to give each of you the chance to go in two directions here. You can either tell me a game that you're watching or a couple games that you're watching, or because between now and the next time we drop a podcast, all the awards to be voted on and announced, you can tell me so and so is going to win this award. It's up to you. What's direction you want to go. and WHO WANTS TO START? No one raising their hand on a little wrenching A. I mean, I guess I'll go with a little bit of both. I'm like hoping to try to get out to a couple of the last few red train chop games are going to be nearby and hey, roll and I think break. Good. He's the other one. There's like two places slill be within the short driving dissis a mes on like go try to see some of those. Watch my fantasy pick in action. And I would I would be surprised if he wasn't nominated and even one some of the wars. Philip Parker has just been leading the PE this season. So if he doesn't at least get like four of the year, they're like, I don't know what everybody else has been watching, because he's just running away with it this season, even with a few suspensions of here and there and gives get moved around and things like that. He's just he's so good. Like if he doesn't win something at this doesn't make a man. A recount? Recount, yes, they see just covered both. Who wants to go next games to watch or prediction on someone who wins an award. You can't really go through the north. The North's not interesting anymore. That's done. Guess the South would be something that we can get a watch. No, it's just it's just a fact right now with the regular season standings. The North is set. We're set. North, you're boring, according to J yeah, we board right now. So the still sexy. We'll see if the little fires rough riders will see what they can do. And I took my favorite word of the year. There's are there, there's the the name of the podcast. Sexy Aga's is sexy verse. Everybody was the sours. Just some new words. I'll take I'll take this one. Next, chef, because you're thinking about it. So let's go a little. Flyers play the ducks. I like that up here, and may turn into five times in the row if that's the playoff matchup to because it's the last two games of the regular season for each team and if things play out the way that they could, and I'm predicting a three game series, five straight matchups, black orange and white versus each other, to probably want to kill each other. And not only that, if prot if Protech, wins both their games against a little flyers, will jimmy shaddy overtaking Marilyn Right in standings, where team Marilyn's, who was in first place for a good portion of the season and look like a powerhouse, could very well finish in fourth place, and not even like they took the bad no side or anything. It's just that the division is that. I don't I know you're saying. I guess are saying neils picked Marilyn to go to the finals. Neil, own up to it. You picked them to go to the finals and they're not playing. Well. No, no, no, No, who bitch control? But if you want a segue that could also tune in on Friday. A hundred and eighty seven first seen, Marilyn. I'll be on the call for that if we have it. Yeah, so we'll see. You might just got them fall said way, this is gonna come out later. Anybody who cares it's gonna get them. False advertising, yes, but that is interesting, though, to talk about, like Maryland's last four in a row. Your last two games goes the eighty seven little flyers, you can potentially have lost six in a row going to the playoffs. That is something that coach bus go the boys of Maryland do not want. So you got to get off the Schneid when at least one of those games and trying to go into the playoffs season...

...on a little better note. But I would say stay tuned for that one. Absolutely well, Marilynd, you're also trying to play up to I'm trying to remember if I know it's more than a hundred twenty five miles to eighty seven. Scott to be more than a hundred and twenty five to protect and because protect north of yes, yeah, so you really, I would think you're also trying in a waited if you can't get home. I sure at least trying to play a little flyers on the road, hundred percent, because you know that at least you get to host the game, even if you're the lower seat. If you play the other teams, you're not hosting Kylso just said one more thing. What to watch for? Of course. I would also watch out for Michael Gersoni I think that he's in the conversation for folward of the year. Also watching out for any sharp angle shot goals that he might score, because I know that Lauren loves include those in the top plays. He was it was ridiculous. I'm just I'm just saying I've seen a pattern, a lot of sharp angle shots to the top of DS. I mean, I did. That is a fire back for being in the basement all year long, anthony, because I'm in the basement now. I'm a fourth place now right only they. I will say to Jeff's what the he just brought up, because I was thinking back on this last year. Last year at this time, Marylyn played the rough riders their last two games of the regular season and then the rough riders their first two games the playoffs. Maryland last year their last six games of the regular season. Jeff M lost all six and then swept the rough riders. So maybe, according to Fusco, he's got his team every wants to do. Is Very just business is usual. This is what we do. We lose six in a row, we go in, we clap the first round and then I know that that's that's a team that we've said is led the WHO are they segment this year. I feel like they win that award. But that's the that's the best question is like you can make a case that all seventeen ehl and all twelve ehlp teams have their own unique direction that they're taking into the playoffs and when we get to the playoffs as they are, the ability to go on a different direction, right. Can You erace that? Can You? The ABS are are struggling mightily in the ehl right now because they've been clinched at number one for the longest time right. They haven't really had anything to play for for long time. That's an issue. So that years ago to Tampa lightning, perfect time to bring this in. We got swept by the Columbus food jackets. Heyo up, then have anything to play for for a long time and that's an issue. But so, yeah, they're playing point to bring up. They're playing a Secos spartans team at knows they can beat them in the playoffs because they did last year too. Right. Yeah, so that was another thing that that I looked at before the podcast today to is just profile on that matchup after you sent out the email abs and won all four matchups by scores of seven nothing, five, nothing for one and three, two. And they still have one game left this weekend. We'll see what mother nature brings. But there are a lot of returners for the spartans either. So, like Anthony was talking earlier about the eighty sevens from here to the Spartans Cooper board, he was there. But they've got their own issues with goaltending right now. Since Franchi left, it's been Adams Perfacci, that avalanche offense. You can't be having goaltending issues against the Trussoni's hotchkiss is Carlson's of the world. But then look at Filip side. Avalanche of at mobly has not been perfect in the second half either. He's been kind of shaky. So, like you said, to the can they delete the regular season? You know issues the spartans and think back to last year when they were able to pick them off. Word. Does that kind of continue into that series and sea coast has issues and to the ABS get into a quick sweep or I mean, what happens? I don't know. Stay too what we gotta say. Lauren, so I was as he speaking on the spartans has bit off topic, but Tai Franchi recent rookie of the week for his...

...college now, so good on him. He's probable for them this season. You see some French leave. Jeff, I put Chris on the spot earlier, so I'll put you in the spot now. You mentioned mobly, mobly versus Miller, goalie of the year. Who Wins? I got you don't the answer that. I go Miller. Well, I like that because I that was something else I was talking I was thinking of bringing up two nails when you just set about talking about the races. And for MVP for to the year, if you will, tough, Sony, collen and Bella. I feel like our three really popular names for goaltender of the year Mobley Miller. I go miller, just because I feel like Miller's body of work this season he's been, he said, very few blips on the radar, if you will, very few bad games. So I would go miller there. The guy leads the entire league in shutouts and its entire existence is pass a lot of really big names on that list, a lot of guys that came through the very same building that he's in. And the breakaway I center to and yeah, I think that we stopped Miller last year. He was a force and I think he's gonna be the backbone of a rangers team that will see. Are they going to be able to go on another deep run again this year? Josh runs really start to pick it up. Even unbelievable game winning goal of the day, little top she'll special, not an off angle special, but it was a top corner goal. Well, it was a beauty. Between now and the next time that we record this podcast, I'll a lot of answers will be made for a lot of these questions. Final playoff seeds, awards in both divisions and how much snow we're going to get on Friday. So yeah, it's so stay safe during the storm, Anthony and Chris, I know you guys want to call that game Friday, so I hope it happens for you, but if it doesn't, it will happen next week, most likely. Keep an eye on the website and social media for all of the changes here. Let's enjoy the final week of the regular season. Thanks for listening to the e show.
