On this week's episode we begin with another alumni who's earned multiple rookie of the week honors at the next level. Tommy Swart spent three seasons with the rough riders and he's brought his point production with him from Connecticutt to St an some college. Moving along to the weekly rundown, we have some new teams cracking their way into the EHL and EH LP power akings further along. Inside the e crew fantasy challenge, we hype up Jeff's Monster Week and then preview a number of upcoming games to keep an eye on as we wrap things up with what to watch for. I'm joined now by Tommy Schwartz, a Ford A S A's and alumni of the rough riders. How's it going, Tommy? I'm great. Thanks for having me. Thanks for coming on. We had to have you on because you keep winning awards. We're going to get to that in a second, though. I want to go back to your junior career first, because you spent three seasons with the rough riders. Let's first talk what brought you to the rough riders into the EHL. So growing up, I grew up in Ridgefield, Connecticut, which is only about thirty minutes from Norwalk. I've known Stephen Brown Eric Lynn since I was ten eleven years old. I grew a great relationship with them. So it was a pretty easy pick honestly. That I can stay at home, I could just commute rights in Norwalk and see those two guys every day really helped my my development. Let's talk about those two coaches some more, because there's a small group that have been in the EHL for the entirety of the week since it was formed in two thousand and thirteen, but no duo has been together the entire time in the same place. Then lyndy and Brownie. What is it about that coaching duo that makes them so special? I just think there were a great team. I mean Eric, he's probably the one of the best coaches I've ever had, developing skills, analyzing stride and skating and shooting and just giving little tips here and there how to score more goals even or just make better plays. And then Brownie, he's just one of the smartest coaches I've ever met, just to the x's and Os and mentality, everything like that. They just really feed off each other and they did a great job doing that for every one of their players. And you spent three years. They're not every player place three years of juniors, but you wanted to play all three. was there was there a thought to leaving juniors earlier, or you happy looking back and saying, you know, those three years with what was the right decision? For me, I think the three years was the right decision. I mean I had great teammates all three years. No complaints whatsoever. I think for me personally, I just wanted to develop my game just as much as I could with Lyndy and Brownie that way I could just be as successful as I could be at the next level. And you bring up the teammates. I'm going to put you on the spot because we're record watching right now and you played, you were lucky enough to play with both fella brothers. She spent two seasons with Aj just one with Colin, but right now Colin it is chasing after Aja's record. Can I pushed you on the spot to say which one is better? Oh Man, I don't think I can really...

...pick one to be a better player. They're both a little different, for sure. Both have just a crazy knack for scoring goals. I mean it's unbelievable what they're doing now. I honestly just can't pick one, but they're both unbelievable players and it's really cool to see you call and chasing down his older brothers records right now. Are there any like group text or chats that take place with with everyone still like the alumniers? That not a thing here and there. I mean everyone's busy with you either still in juniors or off the college right now, but we try to keep in contact as much as we can. But I mean, well, he needs fret and he's like eleven goals. So we'll see what happens. Maybe with it, maybe the chats will pick up. But you bring up the teammates and you can see the Jersey behind you, your rough riders Jersey. You had the chance to her a seat your last year. What did it mean to be the captain? And then a lot, honestly. For my first year, outs were well, oh or the sea and he was one of the best leaders I've ever played for the my next year, Connor boys both and Hanndvill guys right now. I mean they both taught me so much without physically actually talking to me, but just being around them, in their presence, in the way they carry themselves from day to day. It was something to really look look up to and follow in their footsteps. So I kind of just watch them and then just kind of makes sense. Makes Sense. Yeah, this next question may catch you off guard them, because that year you wore the sea was the two thousand and nineteen twenty season, which of course came to a very abrupt ending, if you will, but your season had ended. You guys actually had a pretty crazy playoff stais with the junior flyers where you had one game one but then lost games two and three, and I asked all the coaches that falling offseason for the ones who had been knocked out was. was that almost like closure for you, or how would you could even possibly felt if you had won that series and had the season end at this tip of a finger without your control? Was it better the way that it ended in a way? No, I honestly don't think so. I mean I myself and I know the guys on that team. We we were really upset with how the season ended. We thought we had a really good group, really deep, that could have made a run to the finals. And you know, we got to give credit to the junior flyers. They played really hard and rallied behind their coach at that time of what was going on with them. It doesn't make it easier, though. I mean definitely thought we had a really good chance to make a push. Unfortunately, that just didn't happen. It happens, but no, I don't think it made it better, though. Okay, okay, and it feels like, honestly, forever goes only a few years ago now, because then you fast forward to become a college freshman and covid persists. What were you able to do this past year and how did you find a way to stay in hockey shape? Yeah, so last year we man we didn't have ice until I think to the beginning of November last year. There's school final put the ice down when we started practicing a few a few times, a few times a week, if not every day. We were still doing team lifts together even before that, two to three times a week. That way we could all just stay together stay in the best hockey shape we could be with just the possibility of having a season. But then any ten canceled. I think it was late December, early January, and then, I mean wasn't fun to hear. The guys were kind of upset about it because we were really looking forward to playing and working like we were going to play, but we we just took what...

...we could get, honestly. Yeah, and then as this season begins, you know you're a sophomore in a quote unquote, rookie, right. So last week I had on a rookie WHO's tearing it up in the Studia. Can now I have a rookie that's staring it up in the end E ten. was there a moment, a first game, a first shift or something where you took a hit and he said to yourself, all right now, now it's back. Now, the Games are back, now I'm ready to go. I don't know if there's like one certain moment. I think just suiting up for my first game at home against revere was was really cool. I mean we were at home, you know the we had tons of students there. It was packed, it was a little loud. I think that was kind of a moment where we're I was like wow, this is unbelievable and and you know, just haven't really looked back since and I've been lucky to play in every game I've played with right now and just what the team that I mean, our team's awesome. I mean I just can't I'm so happy to be here. It's awesome. Yeah, nineteen points so far. Any ten rooky of the week twice. Is there a moment this year where you have said to yourself like man, I really did make it, or did you expect this production right from the get go? Honestly, no, I was just trying to play my game, which is just work hard, be responsible player. That's kind of how I was in juniors too, is just be smart, be is all around the ice responsible. So I wasn't expecting really the points that I have. Honestly. I mean I think that just comes with the hard work. And you know, I'm playing with will Christensen for most of the year and we have some good chemistry and just the guys around us like we have a really skilled, fast and like really creative team. That makes it really easy to not easy to produce, but it makes easier, easier than they would yeah, exactly easy. You mentioned playing with Will Christenson, another rough riders a lum I know, and we had our allstar event up in a hook set. Coach Brown brought the all stars up with him a night early so they can come see you guys play. How did that make you and in the rest of the rough runs alumni feel at st as to have your coach back watching you at that next level? Now, I was really cool. I mean he texted me earlier in that week about the whole allstar event that was going on and you know, we put it side, we set a side tickets for him and I think it was four players that go in, including call and so seeing them after the game. I mean we unfortunately lost that game, but just seeing them afterwards was really cool, really special, honestly, and there's been a lot of great moments for you this year and I don't want to mention these particularly because they were losses, but you did get a chance to play. Li You a pair of Division One Games. What was that experience like for you? That was that was really cool. I mean the scores weren't what they weren't what we wanted, but I mean we played as hard as we could. We I mean there's just such a difference. Any little mistake we made they just capitalized on. But we were really proud of how we played and those two, two three games, I mean there's just a great team. We play as ours we could. Yeah, it was still a really cool experience. We learned a lot and then after those games we felt really good. You know, we set ourselves like hey, I mean they didn't go as we wanted, but we liked how we play. Let's just build off of it, and then we've been on a little bit of a run ever since. It's perfect to the right time of year too, as you guys approached the playoffs right in the thick of things in the NYTEN. What is coach Roka, was saying. Is the next goal from here? Is it just one day at a time, one game at a time, exactly one practice? When game at a time? Just be hungry. No, just one...

...more than the other guys. Just work hard and you know, everything will pall on the players, as it should, and maybe for the for you and the rest of the rough riders alums, you'll have a chance that, a little revenge, if you will, with the way the two thousand and nineteen twenty playoffs ended. So I appreciate you coming on, I love the Jersey behind you and I, like I said, you're killing him in the NYTEN right now. So keep it up and we'll talk soon. Sounds good. Thanks for having me. Thanks again to Tommy Schwortz coming on the podcast this week. A true definition of how I always say every story's different for the players that come into this league. Tommy did play three different, or three separate seasons, I should say, with the rough riders, the captain his last year and now off at saying a's already been named the northeast ten rookie of the week twice. So great to have him on. But now let's bring in the e crew and guys. The roster frieze is less than, yeah, thirty hours away at this point, five full, three to one. I want, you know, adding a player who. Yes, a lot of very interesting decisions were made this week, so some last second editions and some call ups and send downs, if you will, but this is after the roster freedz. This is one things really said to start to take off as we approach the playoffs. Yeah, all our teams that like to move a lot of guys did move a lot of guys out. Well, you're not moving anyone out and you're not moving anyone in. It's called a freak and it's for reasons. Got To start looking at the railers to see what they're gonna do on the back end, because they are stocked up with good goalies. It's is why I have a goalie picked specifically in fantasy this week. That's why I'm angry that I finished with the best fantasy weeks. I H him and I want another goal. It's old pics and I was like, Ahkay, last sucks. Large will get to fantasy will get the fill. Well, let's let's get things started with the weekly run down. It's time for the e cruise weekly run down. You should be run down. What you buy the junior hockey podcast. You're home for junior hockey news, knowledge and nonsense. Check them out of tjg podcastcom. All right, guys. So what do you want to start with here? Frozen finals picks or power rankings? Because I said we're going to talk about this again. You did it suck. Wow. I mean, I'll start because kind of less are you gotta pick the lesser of two weeks. Now see, we I vote like EP. Did I say we do? Raking's first, because it was kind of a strange week that a lot of teams do the one in one play. Two Games went one of one. Only had a couple of teams that actually had over five hundred kids or weeks. I'm going to make the rankings easy. I'm going to make my see that every week. It's just so easy. My same pitches last week, avalanche and then self division, all four teams. Let's do it. Wow, nel, yes, what about the wolves of lumberjacks? No one for the north anymore. They did good this week. It's just gonna say nobody. It is Neil's not been watching the hl this week, because that is not true. You know for the north is no more. He has retired. He's slamming to speaking the south, I am going salves next week for a south road trip, so I'm trying to earn brownie points before I go. So, okay, that's what you're talking about. The North, though, if you're gonna go south next week, that's two weeks of so I want to get at least two cheese steaks at ice works next week. Okay, so o' Kyle love to review. All right. So last week the rankings were avalanche, eighty sevens, ducks, little flyers, slumber checks. Jeff, I jess got what you're saying. It took me about five seconds for me time, but anyways, again Allianche, eighty seven's, ducks, little flyers, lumberjacks. The avalanche. Interesting Week. Like Jeff said, go one and one. What was that avalanche team that showed up in Haveril? I was...

...on the call for them. Did they show up in Harel? Well, I mean there was a team that showed up. I mean the V are, the Warriors, the new dark horse and all this. I was gonna say we got to start watching out for them. Of the East. They are getting real close to the express any of that game, though, is that they have Nico Kerreri, who right sat. Why picktim for a while? So it's like the like the iron is not lost on me there where it's like the APS just kind of I don't know what happened that game. And then the warriors have just been like they just have such a new sense of like self, I guess since adding Carey, and they've just been on the like. Yeah, they've lost a few here and they're be like they're definitely on the uptrend in this three points away from wall pole for the second for second place in the east. Eight points and wall Poles, wall poles only, are still only for back of the of the Rangers for the top spot. Yeah, Corre, interesting, we're going to get to the racist, for sure. Do the avalanche stay wanted? Anyone do enough behind them? The jump them for one? No. Do we keep them run losing eight three, though, then they came out, they come back and beat the railers, who I know are in the top five, but the railers are group. True. That was true. Yeah, so, yeah, let us didn't know, just going to be play contrar area and they, I mean, let's let's face a Jeffy. Even the best scenes have a stinker every once in a while. The avalantag one against the junior warriors. Just want one thing else. Wanted about the warriors that they've looked really good since the turn of the calendar year. Part of it through the CARRERI. I think they'll just have a lot of good players on that team. But and the sevens also had one against the Connecticut rough riders. That's six two lost it, Sono. Yes, well, they bounce back with the three. Nothing went over protech and actually the warriors without hard at that day. They cut, they had to change up the lines and laps in Albertie were on the first line and they were humming laughso got me mini pantasy points. Yeah, that was there was literally three players in that game that were all one goal away from hat tricks. Freeman, laps up and Hanley all like one away from Patricks, like ridiculous. Warriors. Only have five games left, though. This is the other fun thing I want to talk about tonight. We're down to a lot of these teams five games last, six games left in low so I mean your eight points behind, but that's for winds. So your ballet. You're going to win or out of your five and you can expect wall all the drop a bunch. But Yep. So let's keep the avalanche at one. Oh yeah, power right. Hello, I love you, Jeff. Number number two, I'mily. I'm leaning towards the third place, Philadelphia little flyers. I know I have to just played that in because that division is so good. No, who thanks. No, they had a loss this past week. I know they eat. They beat the ducks. Okay, and I think that the ducks were like the ducks were prior to the wee what. But, but the little flyers also be the eighty sevens. Correct, they lost to the team. I want to put them up them. The little flyers beat the eighty seven four hundred and twenty three. Yeah, that's and and and we have a great point with the ducks, Anthony, because we have to figure out what to do with coaches that don't want their teams in the power ranking. So I done with this all. Last year I heard he's Terry, Terry, we're coding. Never wanted them in it. Terry Neil, I don't care what the coaching he already here. If it is, if these here all see's along. He does not care. Look, you can, you can text me, you can mean tweet me all you want, all I don't care. Shout out to the New England wolves. Look, if you want to get in the top five, you gotta Win Some Games. Yep, and and hey, they may get in, but I'm saying right now I think little flyers...

...what we do. I think little flyers go to and I think eighty sevens go three. That's fair. I'm fine with that. Little flyers have been a wagon since twenty hot comer macdonell was so great in that win against the eighty sevens. He was dishing the parking real world. We sure it's not meals pronunciation of McDowell. He combined Carter mccowell and conor macdanelle, I think to how did I know that was coming? Jeff, come on, as a play by player, you know very well that there are tons that we can get tongue tied. Oh, it had to present at the hundred percent. I just said on yesterday the game where puckles trickled through the gully's legs and I was I did. Sometimes you make sounds as you see the pluck like yeah, it's harder than it looks. It really is. Jeff, you never just never forget. Never forget the big ass cheer from the Seahawks Bench. anyways. Anyways, I think we should go avalanche one, little flyers to eighty seven three and then drop the ducks to for then I'm drop on the ducks all the way out, all the way out. Terry, Terry would like them out. So we love Terry on this show. We got to take them out. Yes, he shall received. I know. I don't I don't even think it. I don't even think because I don't even think it's because he asked. I think right now they're, I deserving. That's just kind of it's gonna sound stupid, because there's seven and three in their last ten, but they're going through two and one. Okay, fair, but they're still going it right new they're still going a little bit in the wrong direction. That the right direction. Yeah, I don't really agree with that bout. Okay, you just got shut out. Now whole entire the entire cell division has been unbelievable. He Sevens the South Division like it's yes, it sucks, but like it's the South Division. It's tough. Yeah, I'll tell you right now. I'm thinking a way too far ahead. If the sevens win the whole thing, I see Anthony's eyes letting up. My first question will get it to hooly afterwards. is going to be Hawdd, a team that lost eight straight games, when the whole thing, because it's just nuts how far that team has gone. They figured it out. Yes, perfect coaching is the hardest. Coaching a hockey team is the hardest job, one of the hardest in the world. Yes, I think it's up there the the sport itself. The long season, yes, to uses. Some play as long as pros, but still forty eight game seasons. It's nothing, though, to sniff at. And who he's done an awesome job and we was do an awesome job now getting the guys through everything. But still have the most important season to come to you. Yes, for four five, I want to go lumberjacks wolves. Yeah, I think that's why I was going to put some respect on the lumberjacks and whiles. Okay, I put hold on. First off, lumberjacks. I voted in last week. Yeah, you back is the wolves have one eight of eleven games. What I don't understand, and they've even said themselves, for the three they lost. They don't know what team showed up, that team that was as hot as any team in the League right now, O't you've that lost one nine in a row earlier the ut you gotta say some of the success contributes to Mr Deckla House under career point. Yes, it's right. CONGRATS, deck one. You know your father's breaking up some college commitments there too, so that's yeah, the success pays off. It's all about the Yev's, my boy. Is this? Is this tonally all we all want, agree as is it that easy? Yeah, I was gonna vote. I was going to bring that. That was my Cheez. She gets still much. I was gonna say. See, as they won't one. I certainly think the wolves deserved to be in. The reason why I voted them out last week was because they had that six one lost against the lumberjacks. Couple that with that loss they had against the avalanche. It was what eight one, so you kind of think, okay, what team are they...

...had for one against the sea coast spartans. I think that's enough to get him in the top five for sure. Yeah, they want two out of three games last week. I think that this deserving of it. When, like we said, everyone else in the League was basically one of one. Last weeks the lumberjacks were tow and O, they were two and no. Last week wolves from two and one votes vote. So receiving votes to we just put Protec here as the only team. Then, Terry, he's gonna no, I don't want to any don't don't even want to be. Don't even want to be receiving votes, but he's gonna get something. You ducky's. So yeah, quite quick. But I think receiving votes is like one of the bigger curses, isn't it? Too? or No, that's the five. That was just number five last year. Number five last year, assist was just terrible. That's it was. So just to recap, one ABS, two little flyers, three hundred and eighty seven's for lumberjacks, five wolves, receiving votes, ducks. So it's kind of more north again. I started this whole conversation about the south, but now we're back to the north to say so. So we go over. Is You fig going to be the sub next week? Do that's two straight weeks of you, south, south, south, no, never mind, get back to that. Literally, Eh LP, the avalanche in the EH L P one two games and lost a game. The Rangers won both their games against Vermont. Does that move the Rangers above the ABS? Because the ABS lost the wolves but then beat the wolves and railers. I think the ABS can still stay one. Rangers stay too, but they're like really taking a push with each other's like like that. The ruders have the most wins in the Premiere now, with twenty five. Yes, and Ab sure right behind them. Yeah, HMM, let's called Michael Gray, see what he thinks. Yes, have more port. Grass has a five overtime losses and Justin what do you call those? Loser points or Bruins Point? Points? Loses, our boys, because because them, Boston points growing sports. I would like to keep. I like the happy day for the Bruins. All right too, is God, we'll sorry, Oh man, I would like to keep the avalanche one and rangers to but the Rangers, I do think, are breathing a little bit down the avalanche neck right now. We call the one hundred Andy One be kind of right now. Almost, yes, right, I would be foot the one a would be speaking of the you know, Jeff brought to stop earlier. The teams that went one in one this this this past feet back, everybody did right. That shows you the time to see the season though. The railers. The railers are one of those teams. They lost the APP three, one. They beat the warriors six. Nothing. was there someone that did something behind them to jump them? Or do they stay there as really did anything exciting? They've won for their last they've won for the last seven games. They're kind of in like a it sounds like a sputter, but the three losses are rangers ABS APPs. So I think they stay at three. Super exciting to keep. I think they stay at three and I am circling the game on my birthday, February twenty five, because I'm at the plug that they didn't hear. See You all. Number that one awesome too, and my grandfather. Yeah, forget it now, but that date is the last regular season matchup between the Rangers and the railers and right now the railers have quick bath for games in hand on the Rangers and Rangers are up by only six points. That game could likely decided to division and I guess in this case who's two WHO's three? For for last week...

...it was the lumberjack who got swept at home by the Rangers and they've now lost five streak games. And then we have to find a new number for guys. Who is it going to be? Eighty Sevens? Of One, four straight, little flyers, one, two of three, age, it is said, no, little fires, one, two of three. Up against the chiefs Walpole in the seahawks played one game of five four because there are other one got canceled because weather. So that's not their fault. I'm not saying Sir Fa firm for me, good calling that cancelation. Can this for me, for I want to say is philly right now. Well, flyers to and I don't know if anyone's a giving Muston mean me, and it's little flyers making a push you. You have to put the little flyers in there. If the eighty sevens keep it up and maybe we get back to five hundred, we could put them receiving boots next week. They're on their way. They're warming. It's a great segue category. It's a great segue too. So just to reiterate, we got have valanche one, rangers, two railers, three little flyers. For what's add more motivation? No receiving votes. So that someone gets fired up and it's a great segue because I tease this last week guys, that I wanted to bring back up our files picks, and I guess we'll start with you, Anthony. As of today, the feeling I get is that at in both levels, the seuth division finals are going to be eighty sevens versus little fires. Set out the case. It feels that way today, which will teck right in the yeah, right in their pace. You're hitting them right in the meeting now. But at the same time Maryland has a little bit of new life with the goaltending they have now. So yeah, I was it say Jackson Bernard. I fly ticked Marilyn as a final qualifier. Just saying, but right today it feels like little flyers eighty sevens. Is that not the case? Am I wrong? I would say this is a very good case for that. And even when team Marilyn defeated the little flyers, three nothing the little flyers for thirty seven shots on goal. So Jackson Bernard really had to stand on his head in that game. They're a couple of crossbars. I was watching some of that game. That's some shorthanded breakaways. So the the square might be a little deceiving. I mean team Maryland. So good team. I don't want to disrespect them at all, but he was the only one that picked team Maryland's hell yeah, I was, Jeff. It could certainly be a in eighty seven little flyers matchup. I also picked team Aren to get to lose in the playoffs last year. I never heard the end of it from team Maryland. Rights. Lauren picked a little flyers to win the south. Anthony picked eighty sevens. I picked sevens. Neil, you picks little flyers, but for qualifiers, Anthony Pick PROTECH. I pick protech and Oh, aren't as wizards railers. Lauren still with the wisdom wild. Oh, that's that's why we're is any more doing the same? Yes, is anyone feeling the need to change right now? Chi Itchi, if you will? HMM, thanks. We made these. This was Christmas break. When we did maname Christmas great. For so what? When I when I picked Marilyn to be the final qualifier, which means they would lose the south but then beat the loser of the Central Marilyn had John Werber, then John River went to college and then and then they got Jackson Burnar and I was like this is me. Yes, I believe in that pick, and then I don't believe in that pick. Now I believe in it again. Yeah, but you can't discredit Sullivan and burke because they were able to pretty good well pick up the pieces after we'd left and did pretty good for themselves. And the fact that burke overcame such like a long bout with that injury. Yeah, I was able to like, like I said, pick up the pieces for them is huge. So we can't discredit them either. Yes, Jackson aren't huge pick up. Love that kid, super, super good goalie, but,...

...like the they had two good goalies to they just they made it even better and now they have like a three way of rotation with these guys where they like they have good choices anyway they pick. I think it's what you just said. The lad think it's Jackson burnard takes them to that next level. Right. He gives you that were were like quality were already exactly. I mean look at that. We meet picks and were burn Frenchie were still the HL. Now they're in college. It's not right. So that is let's work our way down. All four of US pick the ABS to win the north. Still, yes, still, go with the ABS. Spell. Yes, okay, all right, easy, all right, Neil hows he it's time there. Three of US picked the range just to win the east. One of US pick the express to when the east. MMM, anyone changing here? I I am so tempted to say valley right now. I know right, that's the sexy pick. That's what I'm saying, and they're kind of they're kind of making me. They're kind of like on like in my ear in the back. They're being like Hey, don't forget that we're here because, like I don't know what it is, because like since starting the new year there's just something about them where they've like finally started to figure things out. They have guys doing the right things. They picked up carriy. That kind of gave the whole team and Tucker like a boost that they for some reason needed, and they've just they've looked so much better. Honestly, I think it's a young team figuring themselves out. That team was in so many one goal games and that first half the season unfortunately a lot on the losing end, and talking to coach of Grath and talking to coach clarity and doing a few of their games in the first half it was like they were up. I remember doing a spartans game back in October. They were up late. Then they gave up for dancer goals in an empty there at the end of lost five three. So I think it's just a team that's kind of young and they've kind of started to jelly, start to believe themselves. They've gone through the trials and tribulations and well, you just said too aren't getting careery. You know, they were kind of shuffling with nor Dorsey and Tucker Hanson, and Hanson still working in there too, but career he's kind of settled it down in the crease and we all know the frozen finals, what we've seen in the last bunch of years. The teams that make up there have good goaltending and so maybe careery is that piece that the warriors were missing. Also on one piece to add, Jeff, those two teams did play each other recently where the where the junior rangers tied the game with forty seconds left and then they want it in overtime. That was yesterday, wasn't it? That was the fort you want. You want to repeat the goal call. Anthony's who is Jim McCabe on? Yes, who's got talk in white? Did Jane's Chicken Party? It's Adams the Khowski. Yes, it's amazing. All right, so now in the game. I love you, man. That was great. So again. Well, Mr Caprio and asked what movie that was from. There's three rangers picks and one express that at Christmas. Is Anybody Changing? They're not playing. Neither of them are playing good hockey right now. I think coach DiCaprio coach Holser would admit that they want changing. I mean I'm like that. Pros Warriors. I think they could make a case for them. So okay, Laura now thinks the war is going to win the east. I think the Rangers still win it. Miller and Jackson, we're just talking about strong goaltending. They got to figure things out. The power or play. I'm going to stay the same to Anthony. Stay in Rangers. Yeah, even though the junior rangers have been in been of a Funk, I think home playoff time, you have a bunch of returning veterans on that team. They know how to compete in the playoffs. Yep, they're built central. We had again. Yeah, we had three to water it. We had three and favorite of the railers and one for the chiefs, the ship's Rindon Johnson. What up anyone? Would anyone want to change here? Nope, staying, railers, blue...

...trade. I have to train. Come on, come on board, to make a name, like try to kind of push for themselves, but I think blue trains kind of well through a little bit. Okay. So for for the railers, down to the self, myself, and they're welcome. Myself and Lauren eat picked at the time. Pick the little flyers to win the south, and Jeff and Anthony Pick the eighty sevens. We hit the very similar picks. Crazy creet, my this is very my play man, this is where I'm torn. Be'st this is so up for grabs. Still going eighty sevens, eight, and Auntie's still going to eighty sevens. Well, that's because I may or may not be contractually applicated. Are you? You don't, might be a little pig next week. Buddy. I will say wait this. This is definitely the hardest division to choose because, like Neil said, anybody can win this one. And actually one quote that I want to Rei because I was talking to mark catcher on the little flyers coach before they play the sevens, and he said honestly there would be no shame in losing in the first round because like that division will just be so hardy and that whoever will exit the division will probably be so battered and tired. True, they would actually have a hard time competing in the frozen final tro very true. Something the watch for sure. So those two are saying the same. Lauren, let's go to on to will say the same too. But I will say I see still don't count the don't count the ducks out because, okay, Mary they're not just like sitting there letting things happen. There's putting up a fight. Yes, the dogs might have gotten shout the other day, but like again, it's eighty seven's is this house. Those are tough games. This is a tough division. When it's a division matchup, it's not easy for the south. Well, you could eastern hockey league this year. Yes, well, you can. You can put them in with the final qualifiers. So so to repeat who he had for the qualifiers. That's where things got different. I had Maryland, I had Marilyn and Walpole. Jeff had walpole and ducks. Lauren had wizards and rail. Or is she just said the rails going to win? And drew I'm gonna win the central now, and Anthony had express and ducks. So I'll start with the changes come. I'll start. I was I was sticky with Marilynd and I was getting away from Maryland. Now I'm back to Maryland and I'm going to, I think, stay with Maryland today. Okay, the express what I'm not staying with. I think I've made that very clear the last few episodes. I'm going to wipe out the express and say that the last qualifier in that game will be the Vermont lumberjacks. Wow, wow, he's to love heart, Lenny pernel. I've they have an Onie and it's changed everything. Good. So so, Jeff, you had express and ducks as your last two qualifiers. So you have an east team beating a north team and a sell team being a central team. I would like to keep the protecting your ducks there. Okay. Oh, Justin could you turn your camera off for a second. Face one. He's why he's Jeff is such a red train fan that this is this is killing him so I've always love the express, but I think I want to change that. The valley junior warriors. Who? Yeah, okay, so he's going to a world charge warriors. He's doing warriors and ducks. Anthony, you want to go first. You had express and ducks. Are you dropping the expresses? Well, be anel, have already done it. Sorry, Josh, sorry, trade of red. It's crazy how the just the ABS and flows of the season, right and out, the oppos and downs and the wind streaking on the losing S.

...drink and maybe you won't have surprises us. Right, it does use. The League has never been this up for craps. So it's true local. I don't know if you would agree on this deal on why you're making the change. They're no scene that has strung goletending. I'm worried about their offense. That's what I feel like that team lacks when it comes to the playoffs. We're gonna be a lot of tight games. Wha, what we made? Those are crisp would clockers. and wasn't grunt Stong the express? No, he had not, he had just, yeah, just got over to the Rangers. I thought he was still there. It was after the showcase, and he wasn't. He was at the showcase with the Rangers in Nernton. That plays a huge part of it. He was there one of their more deadlier scoring threats. Whoever wants to go next water or Anthony, you can say some because I say stay in the same if you are. I'm strong with this lights. This is an appetizer for when you have to actually finalize a bracket in a month. Yep, it's coming, because in a minor everywhere's the short month. Guys, this is this is pencil right, because you're going to erase it and write it again right in a month. We're right, crested and permanent marker. This your rough draft fromber elementary school, rough draft for the final copies. Do I hated rough draft. I skipped off, SKIPP drought drafts. Well, what about a what about a team Marilyn Valley Junior warriors matchup? That's where you're going? Yeah, I like that. So he said. He says team Marilynd's gonna win the final qualifier over the team from the central and then Valley's going to come out over the team from the north. So that leaves just you, Lauren. Think about that. Maryland versus the warriors to the WHO are they leaders and that segment this year. That would be something. All right, Laurena, stalled as long as I could for it. Oh, this is gonna do. How about the wizards to start one of the time. Do you still believe in these coast when you still believe the wizards are going to make it to this east division finals and then beat somebody from the north to go to the frozen file? PULL, Scott, knator, Collins, back Gober, just spitting off names of the WHO are on the team right now. Go, Jeff, just help, just, I don't know, I feel like this is going to be a little crazy. God Bid would add before, but we're gonna go with the lumbies in the ducks. Okay, these all right. Now next, do you guys want to post this or should we leave this? Clearly of this just on the podcast we said rough draft. Okay, fine, well, we won't post this. Get ready in a stickers to pencil drop. Yes, and in a month we're doing the permanent but the actual bracket. Yeah, and next week the warm up and next week, with a special guest coming on during this segment, we're picking. We're picking the EHLP division winners. We don't know that. Special guests is a surprised. Only I do. And what that will go to fantasy super it's time for the e grew fantasy challenge. And e grew fantasy challenge is presented by bio steel. Please, sports drink of the JO. Use the Promo Code e show. That's es how for twenty five percent off when you check out at bio steelcom. Damn it, Jeff, I had I had Jack Lee and I was like Jack Lee, draw a Verry Jack Leech will as as like you know what we're going to go withdrew, what a terrible decision. I think first time that I picked before you. Maybe I know you did. I that is one of the best weeks a player has had in fantasy for anyone. Right, exackly, we're now falling each other on instagram. I might have to buy one of Your Jersey Sir. I texted that to the crew last like we're reviewing LE HAVE TO PURCHASE JERSEY, get autograph Stud Five goals, three assists, three harvey points and a game winning goal for twenty seven points. That's it. That's all twenty seven, but we have ours teams getting. That's all you needed this week. beat me. Oh my God, Poor Laura. So we have to we have to work on the same order that we always do. So to recap Lauren's week, she is still in first place overall for the first time in like months.

Not To toot my own horn, yes, she did finish last in the week. So sorry, I call it forth not last. anyways. That to mental good pick, just like draw all Verry, but no points. Dawn. Jericho got you a goal on in Mobley, came in and relief in that valley game and actually kind of thought it was off into a hole. But then bounce back with that victory over the railers for you. Adam Zookowski got you seven points for that game winning goal that Anthony was talking about. Lucky seven, Yep, and then at and Parker with an assist for you. You still like it's still a down week, but it's still eighteen and point eight points. Like it's still the fact that I picked two players that had gone like five or six games without getting any points and they both got points. I'm okay with that. Yes, so for your new picks for this whipcoming week. Oh, team low this week is like stocked. I'm so good. Girl, is all fire. I hope so. Oh my God, that was so beautiful. Thank you. I'll be on America's instead, starting up front. I'm bringing back in old favor that we all love, and team blow definitely loves Colin Bellow. The rough riders if quite a few games this week, so hoping he continues the just parade of goals he always seems to get when the puck touches his stick, except for when I picked them just how we like this. Mr Curse season, it's say it's the neal curse. On do you rise? I'm so excited to pick this kid up here as one of my red team allstars, Mr Corby Pastor from the lumberjacks. They've been looking a lot better the second half of the season. It's been fun to watch them. I saw them like a week or two ago now and they played the ABS, which was quite a fun game to watch. It was good to see them in town. Robins only got me one of SISLAS group. there. You know what that means. He saved them all for you are good. Yeah, Oh yeah, Hey, you know what they say about defense, defense worse. Championships just sing on getting fantasy goaltending always seems to be my Kryptonite the season. I don't know what it is, but I'm hoping it can turn around this week. Jackson Bernard, new team Maryland Guy. So excited to have him. He's a college commits like. He's been doing good things all season despite whatever situations he's in. Like I'm excited to have them see what he can do. My utility pick, I'm stealing one from Jeff last week. Mr Jack Lee of the railers really doing pretty good. When they score, this team to score a lot a bit. So I'm excited to pick him and hope that success continues. For team low, and this is a fun one. This is my third express pe pick. I am going with a solid, reliable guy. They kid super excited. He was on my all star team and the P all stars, Philip Parker, so excited. He's at like the top of the PA in terms of points and goals and things like that. Like I'm so excited to have him. He's essentially a two point per game player, like, what more could you want out of a guy like he is, someone who always wanted your team four point per game plays everywhere. I love him. I'm so excited. Philip, Philip Parker, Mr shootn't not so God. I my God. Yes, absolutely iconic to Anthony's team. Anthony, you put up over thirty points this week, then you get he get the pick second. Honestly, it's as doesn't tote deal. It does as Justin says. It's you're still putting up point for you get to pick earlier. So for Anthony, Justin, Harsha I had a three assist game. For you, Dominic metstro a power play assists. Stefan Kuhannak had a victory and got you ten point. Six points. A pair of goals from Michael Chersny and a going an assist from Anthony Viola. It gets you thirty point. Six. Who He got four picks this week. Anthony. Okay, so for this week's seen at the forward position, I'm going to bring in ever Schneider. On the stat sheet, for some reason he says he didn't score against PROTECH. I thought he did. I was going to say he has goals in his first three game since coming back from an injury. But also I don't think that game was on hockey TV, so...

I can't go back and check the video, but either way he has. He has four Y has four points in his first three game. Since they're turning from an injury and he's only getting better with each and every game. He's the obvious choice to put it forward. For Defense, I'm going with Dominic Cheriko. I know that he was a pick from Lauren not too long ago. Yes, points in four of his last five games had to go against the rough riders. I'M gonna put him at the Blue Line for this week. In goal, this is an obvious choice. Nathan Miller. He's been just so terrific. He had a tough game against the Vermont lumberjacks. Needless to say, I think he'll bounce back then. For the utility pick, I'M gonna go with a player from the New England wolves and I know there's been a bit of a meat as of late through what would them in defense for truble. One quick thing I do want to say is that if there's one thing I've learned is that there are two kinds of people in this league, those who care about the ehl power rankings and liars. Whole that that that is my takeaway from this past week and for the New England wolves, do you have it? You want some love? Let's see it. I'm going to go with the Bergen County native from Mahwah, New Jersey, Kevin Johnson. I don't think he's got enough love. He has thirty one points in thirty nine games. He had a two will game in that second one against the SPARTANS. So show it to me, show me what you've got. I'M gonna go with he's a rich Jessy's loving for that utility pick. And then for the P I'm going with Connor mcaler. Has Twenty Six points in twenty seven games. Had Two points in their last game against the valley junior warriors. That was the six nothing win today. Yep. So I'm going to put him as the utility player or, no, the HLP slot. And that gets to my picks which, as I mentioned before, what's killing me as I should have picked Jack Lee. I should have paid exactly, because then I re replace Zero points with twenty seven points. I'll make you feel better, buddy, because this happened to be earlier than year when to fly under one of them that like. What do you have? That five point game? You like a gold force. This right for Newington. Same thing. I was just about to pick him. Want to get the splashy pick for the chiefs. We're going to do it. Did NOPE, didn't do it quite I'm quite annoyed. Yeah, bus, but trust your gout deal. To recap my pics from this past week. I picked Colin Bella after he had that six point game. He said Neil, he said Neil, pick me. So here's one assist. Tyler Anna saucy got me four assists. Three of us from on the powerplay. Lenny Perno, a pair of victory is one of the range is one of the wizards. I mentioned draw all very he'll probably light it up this week. Tramp no, I don't want to call it transitive property. It's like reverse transitive property that he'll light it up at Jacklie won't light it up, but Johnny Lee from my utility did light it up. He got me sixteen points. As I'm being served dinner right now, this is I'm unbelievable. He Raven. Ladies and gentlemen, look at this. Is Only a beautiful ladies. You can cook too. Check it out, Broccoli. anyways, to my pis, I would like to say we did get we managed to find a picture of Lenny Perno for Golden Yes, we did. Thank you for taking that picture. Anyways, my picks for this week. Lauren mentioned earlier Decklin House hitting him his one hundred point. Maybe this is lock in, this is lofty, but I'm packing Bobby Guyer. He has three games, needs eight points. Maybe that's a lot to get in three games, but I'd love it on the Deep Carolina native. On defense, I am going with Alex Newton. So in a way I'm going with last week Tyler Natas see Alex Newton this week. Two guys who I think should be candidates for the Defensian of the year award when the season is all sudden done in. In goal,...

...a new goalie the railers, who already were pretty stout, and goal now bringing Camp Carol, who I hope gets at least one or two starts in their three games. I wanna go with as ice baby. So now now I don't. I can't use reverse transits property again, but I ticked Bella last week. Didn't work, so now I'm going to try and pick Dallas to bottle this week and see if I change my luck. In a way. Its back with the rough riders and then no one's wanted to take this risk yet. So I'll do it first. No one's picked a goalie out of the EHLP, so I'm going to go first. Going to say that I literally knew you were going to say that. I notice that I was looking for him. So we'RE gonna go. Oh my God, we're gonna go with jared Packman. He's one of teas. Is One of the coolest. If you guys haven't seen it yet, he has one of the coolest goalie helmets I have ever seen. His last name is PAC man. So we batterly. Could you do man themed? It's pack band themed. Is like so fun. I like you do a googer. got to see it, but it was, oh God, it was amazing, so fun. So there you go. Jersey Brackett, toughest rate the play in bracket, goalie mass branly, mask, racket, Googlie cage. Hey, don't I can't remember which one was. One of the wolves. School is I remember at one of the showcases has a really nice one because it's got the nice like Matt Finish, and it's super like snowy woman. Love it. It's a gill. He be. anyways. I guess now is the time to get to Jeff's week, because this is just this is just silly. Jeff Finanal and wait, we already covered Jackie getting twenty seven points. It's Lauren. You're gonna p powser got me. What of the just want to say you he said it. Cory improved. We powser said his name aren't Tommy. Last week I was saying, well, Cory Powers Corey. The houses said Phune Vermont comes, Cory doesn't come at the right point. Nico Carrey got to that Balonus game victory. I guess yeah, it's I was going Jonathan laps I got you sixteen points through did Wayne Brew Baker Eight there got you another eleven points. Like this is just ridiculous. Jeff, Dude freaking avalage P love you guys, the still yevs and lane brew Baker Agnor. I talked to me CAL Jeria the hallway before I called the Warriors Aves E gree game. That gets good, that gets really good. So sixty next week, sixty six point four. So how do you duplicate that this week? All right, well, we're gonna try. I'm going back to a guy that I put on the fantasy map while ago with the Boston junior rangers still has been almost a point per game, player Nick Cullin, in seventeen points in nineteen games. For him, even though the Rangers specialty teams units have been struggling a little bit, he has eight points, four goals for assists on the power play. On the Rangers play three games this week. So I'm going with the go with the numbers. So we're going to go to culling in at forward and then let's see. Let's try to keep this in some semblance of an order, some on sicking and zagging and keep you guys all over place. Jj Crayton is my defenseman, team Mariland, another team that's got a few games this week and creating up to twenty one points and thirty nine games. Had A goal against anthonies eighty seven's recently, sorry athity. Also had an assist against little flyers, sorry alow. So we're hoping Creton can continue the points from the back end and then let's see another team Marin player I have. This is my utility. All right, told you it was gonna try to keep someone to one order. But let's start singing and sagging. Patrick Doyle. Have we picked Patrick Doyle yet? Now we have? Well, here he comes. Twenty five points in thirty six games for doyle. Had two goals against the Apple Court the other day. So and he also had a goal against the eighty seven anthony again. Sorry, it seems like I'm picking all players that have scored against Anthony's eighty seven's, but there's still won a lot of games. So three goals in...

...the last two games for doyle. We're going to take him at the you tillity spot. And then Neil, you got them on the map, I'm taking them. Lenny Purno, come on down. You were one of our top performers, presented by Vaughan, of course, from last week. And all this kid is done since the first game, his debut against the avalanches, when he lost hinst the ABS and then beat the ABS, beat the wolves, beat the Rangers, beat the wizards for one, which got him that top performer. That's pretty good, I would say. I'm just say he's very so good. Watching against the ABS was so fun. He was amazing, like you know said. I mean that just changes the outlook of the HMAT lumberjacks completely not. The CODETI hasn't been great and bill quay has been okay and in spots, but her no's just been an absolute force and that's what Vermont needed. And then for the PEA, speaking of Vermont, Trn King, sexy, pick right, fast, kicking, burn it. It's a lot of powerplay points, five goals for assist on the on the power play, small but fleet footed winger, if you will. A lot of points and always sound on golf. No cheat goals from Trent King. Oh and we can always count on Jeff to go in whatever or he just picked them. I was going like teams of creating that. I was like, oh, we at to doyle because there a team Marilyn with a lumbies heard of. You gotta think to though. Maybe Pernos, like the careery situation, kind of breathe and Jackson Bernardozi like breathed a little bit of new life into those teams. Right. They were doing I mean lumberjacks were doing pretty well as it was, but like the just kind of gives them an extra little hey, let's take this run with it. He was letting Parnell the next David B Douzy, one of my favorite names to call and froze finals histories. Goalie be there's not as many syllables for you, though, to call at the finals. I don't know how I'm not to ride the O of these who the really right to funny things. I have to point out, Jeff, you've got mentioning guys scoring against the eighty sevens last year. On five occasions I picked the goalie of the week who beat the sevens. That's weird. Every time I did it, holy was like they are you doing this intentionally? I was like, I'm not, I swear it's calling you all at the second point is for a player who wasn't even picked this week. Okay, but I have to put out there that there is clearly a curse when I picked them, because when I picked Julius Cavando from the wolves, he got me nothing right, nothing since I picked him. Yes, he has points in five straight games, right, and he has ten total points in those five games. That's a lot from a demon to get, and too game winning goals. Oh and six of those points are on the powder play. Oh this one. He was our top performing demon last week and one of those points, for short, was shorthand and this is why here in himself a college commitment. I just it's rattling how what good he's been since I picked him. I'm just thinking of myself commit so. So now, when you go to the actual overall standings, right, Lauren is at six hundred and nine. First Place. Jeff is at five sixty nine point six. Second Place, I'm at five forty five point eight. Anthony's at five nineteen point four. It's tight and I will lose sleep thinking about if I had picked Cavandal in the right week and picked Lee, not olive. Ay, do it, Neil. It's this is just like other fantasy sports that we played. Don't play the are going to play that matchup because forty eight points on my bitch. I'm so when the bracket comes around, it all comes down to that. Need you to be rested for the finals, even though you're not calling games anymore. We okay, we're not talking about that anyways. Bring up once an episode. Yes, it's just circling away. And now what? garder? Let's get to work, partner, let's get to what to watch for before we wrap things up.

Here's what to watch for. It this week in the east show what to watch force presented by hockey TV, the official streaming platform for your EHL and EHLP action, did the two thousand and twenty one, two thousand and twenty two season. I am washing for a two game home series for the Vermont Lumber Josh Against New Hampshire. A blanch. That's huge. I know the ABS have clinched number one, but in the current a moment I think the abs want to avoid the lumberjacks in the first round. I think any matchup is tough, right, but if they could get steacoes or the wolves first and then the lumberjacks, they would prefer that and I think, I think this week is going to prove that. I could be wrong. Right the wall. Talk to your neighbor. Go take a walk six minutes east. I think it is the last one. Chris role. Now I'll probably show up here tomorrow morning. But they split. They split the last series. They just had the two game series in hookst. That was when Lenny Perno first arrived. I know, I gu said. I know the ABS already clips number one, but has a lot since two huge games this weekend in Burlington. WHO WANTS TO GO NEXT? I'm excited to see how I'm jumping on the little I'm jumping on the red train in the P I'm excited to see how they play. This weekend they're playing the rangers and the chiefs. I believe I'Vember that quickly and I'm excited to see kind of how that goes because obviously feels a good player. I'm I'm happy to having but like, at the same time, those are too fairly tough opponents and so I'm curious to see how that goes and hopefully, because they're coming off of way against the Seahawks, so hopefully they can kind of build off of that to keep it going trending more in the right direction, because I think they had like three losses previously before they'll game. So hopefully they can continue to keep things going in a positive direction. I was going with Rangers Express in the e Lauren because that's for all the points in the East division. Rangers lead by four points over the express for first fifty two points of the Rangers, Forty eight for Walpole. Rangers win that. You went both games. That's Fort you get to. You Get up to fifty six points. Are Just haead of brave fires start to do quick man, and then your eight points away from the express and then vice versa. Express. With both games you're tied with the Rangers her first place and this as a mass, the warriors too. That is a massive, serious yeah, if it's the express gets swept to the warriors win this week, then they move up even closer. To say hey, hello, how are you a tyler, for calling some red train P games this season, getting us some really exciting calls, getting some love for that team, getting some love for the PEA in general. He's been doing good job of that. Tyler Rigo is a very, very good broadcaster and a good man too. Is Love for took though, expres say sorry, sorry about that today. That's not good. Anthony again to US ally, Boddy, okay, Te Games to watch? Well, the obvious one would be the sevens little flyers, the eighty sevens are on a four game winning in the HLP. The the A seven PEA teams on a four game winning streak, but they all side a couple of games against struggling New Jersey rennegades team and they're going up against the the top team in the south this weekend. So I think this would be a good barometer to see how much they've improved as a fleet, because they have been playing pretty well in the calendar Year of two thousand and twenty two. For the EHL, this is another matchup that'll seem kind of random. I'm going to go with the East Coast Wizards and the sea coast spartans because you have two teams that are fairly low on the standings. But the East Coast Wizards right now there only two points behind the valley junior warriors for third in the East, and the Spartans, while they are fourth in in the North Division, there only two...

...points behind the lumberjacks, there only four points behind the wolves. So I think for both their teams this is really game where they can try to pull themselves back up in the standings. Good pigantly, see you taught us all from random to not right of you just lost all it, and that was well. Then we all highlighted a two game set, if you will, so a bunch of good games to watch. A special guest coming on next week during our weekly rundown, and it's an exciting time right now. We are literally a month away from the postseason, so enjoy all the games as Speken guys will talk next week. Thanks for listening to the east show.
