On this week's episode we preview the FIT and final showcase of the two thousand and twenty one at twenty two season. Kicking things off and the weekly run down, we set the table for the showcase with some slightly shuffling to the EHL and EHLP power rankings further along and the e crew fantasy challenge. We recap the stellar weeks that Anthony and Lauren had to kick off the New Year and make some new picks for this weekend's League Wad event. Finally, we wrap things up by circling some scheduled games to watch and discussing the EH LP all star game and are what to watch for segment. What's up crew? Guess what we have this weekend? Is it another showcase weekend? We've had a chance to breathe, though, Jeff, you've had a chance to breathe since the last showcase, but this is it's the last one. This is the last one of the seasons. Did we take him for granted because we had none last season? They've they feel that they've gone by so fast. This year they always do, and the last she's seven, eight years that I've been doing them. They do. They just fly by, but I don't know if we've taken it for granted. What do you guys think? Auntie, Lauren, just I wish we wouldn't have put the longest one at the beginning. That I feel like you kind of sucked, because for me that's my first one. That was a lot to take in. But at the same time too, I wish that. I feel like it would have hit a little better if we put like something that long somewhere in the middle instead of right at the beginning. Held up to it. HMM. Yeah, the showcases have come by quick. But the one thing that hasn't gone by quick are the bus rides up there. And sure enough, the final showcase is going to be that sticks our ride from Jersey up to Exeter, New Hampshire. I'm looking forward to that. But a you know what you're driving towards. You're driving towards a full weekend of hockey, Anthony, and for you a chance to call the EH LP all star game. So it's going to be a good one. Beyond it to yes, well, I'm saying he that's for his bus thing, because I thought we were about to go down the showcase scheduling there for a second and I was about to end the podcast right away. But with that, let's get into weekly run down before we wrap things up. Here's what to watch for it this week in the east show these show week be run down as brought to you by the junior hockey podcast, your own for junior hockey news, knowledge in nonsense. Check them out. A teach age PODCASTCOM and I want to start by giving anthony another set of stick taps here. Has Hohoy told you how I've answered every one of his phone calls for the last like two weeks? No, yeah, told me that he I answer the phone and without saying hello or anything like anything else, I always answer eighty seven way and I hold out the W, because what you're doing with these tweets is fantastic. I love it. There's multiple W's in there. There's so many that they came even count. What's going on, but under star running out of character's needles, I think. please. Hey, I write the sevens of one. Eleven Straight Games. I mentioned to you guys off the air a second ago that we're doing power raking, so let's jump right into it. Can the sevens go all the way up to number one? Jersey Number One? Right, though. The avalance didn't play, though. Now they've put up for a month, speaking a noodle legs. What are the APPS gonna look? This is how I wanted to disturb the pot. The ABS haven't played right. They're going to go from showcase to showcase. The avalanche and the Rangers only two teams to do so. The eighty sevens have already won four games in twenty two. Yep, they're coming, they're hot. This is their time of here. I think he's still got us. I do. You still have to stick with pressing and leave them where they are because they haven't played, and I will give the a seventh to no doubt, and then if they keep it up this weekend, they can absolutely jump the APPS. I just you got it. You gotta stick to precedent like we have been, and leave them as one and give eighty sevens to it. Will feels like, for I was about to say a year ago, which is no pun intended because I wasn't twenty one, but the avalanche won five Games in seven days. What feels like a year ago, when they'd be Walpole the railers and then went to the showcase and they beat the lumberjacks Maryland. And I'm even blanking on the third team because it was so long ago and I think we're I'm almost forgetting how good that stress was because they haven't done anything yet. Like a weird time of year new is there any concerned about...

...rust for this number one ranked team that's one seven straight games? I think so. Absolutely. I mean you can't, you can't not go play for a month and then come out and I mean prove US wrong, prove US otherwise. But it happens in every level. Right you see at the pros the college levels, as just started. At the Division One level, northeastern was off for a month. Their first game back against Lu they want a squeak or will nothing. Then the Saturday game, what do they do? They scored six goals, one six. I got the rust stop. But well, it's not always like that, because maybe if the avalanche for missing some people who were sick or injured, where it gives players time to come back. And I kind of want segue that's with the sevens, because remember what I said the the previous show where the eighty sevens are winning these games even without some of their top guns. Well, guess why? Matt's Dan Wards came back. Definitely, O'Kane is back and they're not only winning games now they're dominating. You got a note to the eighty sevens just picked up a huge player in Jimmy Metler, because that's like one of the top defenseman in the league and they like we're able to sneak him over there and it took him like, I think, a game or two to finally get on the score sheet for them, but once he did he just sit right in perfectly in the fact that they haven't paired up with Matt Herrick is just ridiculous. Yes, that that. That is just an unfair parent. He's got a really nice well, his first goal against team Maryland was actually a really nice one. Patrick Deane Rina's tow dragged around a defender. Metler scored on a tap in right as he was kind of sliding down to the ice. But I also feel bad for him because he got shaken up twice. He took a knee on knee hit in that game and then he got plaster from behind, like right on the numbers in front of the eighty seven's bench, and I'm just like, Oh man, it's got can't catch a brick right now. Welcome, welcome to New Jersey, when you just began that Jersey. But he just began that stament anti by by saying on a previous episode you mentioned so into this this detail. I thought sure about to say that on a previous episode he pointed out how the sevens could go through the rest of the season without winning a single game. Remember that episode, because you did say that one time, because there was one point when they have lost eight straight games. It's funny how fast, though, things can flip around. But the other thing I said was that a majority of those games were one goal losses. So they've never been bad defensively and now that they're starting to look like last you team guys where they're not just winning games, but they're blowing people out of the water. I think that we're all in consensus that the ABS stay at one, despite being off. I did up to kind of poke at the avalance a little bit, like it's time to get back into action. They stay one. Eighty seven stay two. From there it gets kind of interesting. What do you do with a team like walpoleways come back and played just one game, loss to the warriors. At the time that we did these last rankings, December seventeen, if you remember, we had a big debate over which to south teams. We're going to have spots four and five. We ended up with the duck set for and the little flyers of five. The ducks just swept the little flyers. All be at one game in overtime, one game in the shootout. You'll get that division. That division is just crazy right now because the eighty sevens, as I mentioned, they've won eleven straight games. The other three teams are either six and four, five and five or four and six and their last ten. We have a we're set at one and two. What do we do after that? WHO's three? WHO's the third best team in the League right now? The Express? The Express still yes to to Jeff, Jeff. Jeff's never going to argue red train. No, I mean three of one, four in a row, two. If we want to, they're start run away with that. Central Divisions, which wet as once. We love the shifts. They are now sixteen points behind the railers for first place. Need to see it. I mean to be a little tighter, but I said, it's just been one game for Walpole. They lost one game, three two to valley. WHO has they're still eight and two in their last ten. Yep, still pretty solid and only one point behind the Rangers. But again, the Rangers haven't played yet since we turned the counter to two thousand and twenty two. So what are the Rangers have for Games in hand on the Express? Is that significant for games? Because the Games in hand, we've talked that. It's a been a big topic in the south because we all there was a moment in this season where I think we all, all four of us, thought like the little fires are the best team and it's going to show when the game count starts to even itself out. But now the little fires have lost four straight games. Yeah, like it's that's a way. Cannot put my finger down on that, on that division. I just's a and it's just all and, like we talked about in the...

...last episode two news, a lot of these matchups down the stretch are all in division matchup. So getting used to playing all your southern teams in the south and this past week was like an all south and central week. Besides the wolves of lumberjacks playing two games. And you said it's you're going to keep seeing teams jump up, jumped down and the show this showcase is going to be really interesting. Right. This is going to be the last showcase and we always say how the two hundred and twenty five minute periods changes things up. A lot of teams are traveling. You only get the one error missions, so you really gotta figure out your strategies this weekend. You seen all these teams at this point. Everybody's seen everybody, so it's going to come down to details. I would say details coaching, making adjustments and all the little things that they're going to add up. I will agree wall pole at three and unless anybody else has a different idea for who should go to three. Oh yeah, the power wretings. That's right, just chatting. We're going. We're go with the wall pole at three. I'm going to walk poll three, Laren Anthony, Justin we think upper rollers. The railers are outside. I think the railers get in, but I think they get in at five. Yeah, rocking up twenty six and one. Yeah, but when you look at their most recent record it's not good enough to be ahead of the express right now. I remember they may seven, seven and three, eight and two. It's one game difference. I would say it's they were struggling at exiting the NEWINGTON show to showcase. Yeah, they beat the walls right before the holiday break, which was a nice win for them to have before going on the holidays, and then they've come back and since the break they've beat the warriors, chiefs and spartans. I think that they get themselves back in in the place of the little flyers. I just don't know. I still well I earlier I said the ducks. It took them over time and their shoot up to be the little flyers. They still beat the little flyers and I still think Walpole I, despite his being just one game, they can't fall too far. So I would I would go avalanche at one, dred and eighty seven set to express at three, duck set for railers at five. Looked up. That's a good five, especially, like we said, it's this is a tough week. Like we say, it's only the south and central really played. Nobody really from the East and North played a lot. So it's kind of we're still getting our sea legs back from the Christmas break and I can't believe that does the Rangers and avalanchery. We play the first game in a month coming up this week. Is going to be interesting and I think about that. The Rangers aren't in this, that real rangers are in this, and I think we had last receiving votes, Marilyn, in the chiefs. I think no one's receiving votes. I think we go with those five and we see what happens at the showcase because because this is the last showcase and, as you pointed out to jeff thing crazy things happen at showcases, you know. So just to confirm what we have, we have avalanche one hundred and eighty sevens to express, three ducks for and railers five, no receiving votes, which then flips us over to the EHLP, which is a little bit different because everybody here, I believe, has played at least one game since the return from the holiday break, so there isn't anybody just going from showcase to showcase. But the last time that we had these rankings, the Rangers were one, the railers were to the avalanche for three and the cheese for for. Not really the easiest schedule for the ranchers this week, but they and backtoback days lost of the athletes lost the warriors that they're not number one of the more they can't be. Time to shuffle. WHO's number one now? Blue Train, see, we give the blue train not as much love. In the UTEL UTOP Hey, here we go, poort on, I think it's avalanche right now. And in the in the EH LP, they just knocked off the Rangers, this second time in a row that they've beat them when they face them. But the rail was just beating valley and the chiefs. That do we they I get that there's two wins. If the avalanche had another win. I'm touring because I think that the avalanche of that such a great season in the HLPA. We haven't even talked about it because they haven't played that many Games Justin also just pointed out the chiefs are in the top four and the railers beat them. Just saying so sort of like that gives them a little more credit over the ABS. The ABS beating number one is not as great as the railers beating the number four team and the warriors the I know the warriors...

...and four team. So, like, I just I don't know. I think that holds a little more wait to it. So you would go railers one, avalanche to. Well, it's like you said, to it's like the ABS P team has been good. We just apparently, for some reason, I've been talking about them as much. So it's like you, I feel like it's more expected that they would do well against the team like that, or like you'd kind of think that they would probably do well against team like that. So it just I don't know. I think the railers kind of looked a little better recently. Yeah, I mean I'm fine with it. I think what's tough for me is the ABS P team has played twenty games with me is he si. Means they have twenty two games left over the next two uys and then you're going to go into the playoffs. Have I mean some teams like that right the game of hockey. It's weird. Some teams like to not have as many games world of playoffs because then you, you know, have a little bit of rest. But other teams would say otherwise that they'd like to play a lot of games leading up to the playoffs. So they will see if any Kel Jerry's boys can do here in the Second Hal it's gonna be busy. It's gonna be real busy. So railers one abs to WHO's three? How far are the Rangers Fall for losing two? I know the warriors aren't in this, but if we had five teams, then of the seahawks are probably in it right, like yeah, but we'resable attitudes of wars and had a great season at the EHLP. Yep, I do the Rangers Fall to three? Rangers have to yeah, the Rangers have to go to three. So they're almost like switching spots with the APPS. I shouldn't say that the railers are one. The APPS are to the Rangers are three the cheeps last time we had this or thirteen, seven and two. So they're only loss is that you're saying it was against the railers in over time. So can they fall out of for is there somebody that could take that spot in the warriors with their win over the Rangers, take that spot? Do we leave the chiefs where they're at? They're at, plus the fact that probably lost to the railers to I don't think would put them ahead of the chiefs. Can Valley get receiving votes? I'd say, though, that would be suitable. And a team to watch, I guess you could say. I'm not saying receiving votes, but a team to watch and keep an eye on right now, I think, is Vermont. They've quietly won four straight games. Their coaching king and order. Getting a fantasy yet? Oh God, I like, don't even go me, get me started. I want to skip fantasy honestly. Like it's funny. I was on the phone with Gary Girl earlier today and we were talking about roster stuff and stuff that, because this is where it gets really interesting, right, because with ever every week that passes is a different deadline. Like we've passed the deadline for hockey Canada. Teams still release a player coming up. The transferred or the import deadline is done. Roster freeze. ECCTER and Gary. Look set him on the phone. Yeah, I think we're in a really good spot in our you know, one of our teams is about to make a run. And I'm like, is he talking about ehl or is he talking about Eh LP? Do I want to say anything, because if I say the wrong thing, I'm I gotta insult him there, and I am I going to insult him. And he's like, I'm talking about the EHLPT, but I'll say okay, he said thank you, but he said he's weird. He's like, if you look at the way that the team is constructed now, well, we've done recently. I'm telling you, watch out, we're going to make a run here. And I was like, okay, you have a tough division, but okay, that sounds good. Like I think we've talked a lot about the playoff races in the Ehl for and I think what it's not so much the playoff races and in the HLP, but the battle for seating in those divisions. I think it's going to be even more critical than the EHL, because look at what I'm talking about right now in the north right, if you're any of those three teams that are on a winning streak right now, you're fighting to not face each other in the first round, not have the two three matchup. And we've talked about the east right. We've talked about the east. So we know Walpole is suddenly the fourth place team in the East, while post PC is pretty damn good, like like what if you all stars? You're going to see this weekend, right. So the Parker brothers, the gravels. It's going to be interesting to see how these teams finished off for what seeds they end up with. But just the recap for the EH LP, we've agreed on railers one, the avalanche to the Rangers three, the chiefs for and receiving votes is valley. So that finalizes both sets of power rankings. We'll see if they change at all at the showcase. Piz Make It interesting entertainments.

Do you want to talk about fantasy? Let's go. It's time for the e crew fantasy challenge and the ecrew fantasy challenge is presented by bio steel, the sports drink of the EHO. Use the Promo Code e show that's Es Hrow for twenty five percent off when you check out at biosteelcom. This whole narrative that I change rules to cheat from myself is over. Okay, like it's. I added the EHLP player and it didn't benefit me at all. It benefited anthony the most, not me, because I got last place this week. I'm not in last place overall. I had a better finished the week, but man, I didn't. I need to catch up. You and Anthony Neck connect, though there's every day we're not. We're not racing for third. You're separated by one whole point. The Old Anthony Three, seventy five point two through seventy four wood too. So it's the desk one to recap my picks from from January five to January twelve. Tony Andrews probably will have a great week this week of the showcase, because she just didn't. Six school sace didn't want to do anything when I had them. He occurs. Jj Crayton had had two assists for me. Stephan Kohona did win two games for me, but when you compare, I guess you could say the shot totals to to everybody else. It's nice that the railers don't give up shots, but it hurts me because he only had a made thirty eight saves in those two games. Stop walking shots and Stasi drum and get out of the way. Let the biscuit hit. Kalonic really man and James Tilly and no one. Matthews each had a goal and two assists for me for seven points apiece, and twenty seven point. Six points isn't great, but it's not. It's not that terrible, like it's not that terrible, but you look at what you guys did and it's just like, I'm sorry, can records this year. I'm so I'm so frustrated right now because, like, what do you write? Twenty seven used to be like when we first started this thing a couple of years ago. That used to be a good week. Now we got all these wonderful new beast Laurence Smith, Anthony, the Pollo. I guess more Laura Than Anthony Right now. Lauren, Anthony, still love you, but Lauren's weeks are just like our stupid right now. Sixty points bit like points. Forty points like what the the lock has to run out at some point it has like it what like when we all pick the same people. They can't just choose the turn it on when they're on her team, like but they do. I don't love teamlow. I don't know what to tell you. You know what. All I can say is they're not lifers. Justin can confirm this to my name. My nahl fantasy team is coming. Are you going on a run? You'RE gonna do? If I can get no COMMISS, if I can, if I can get my ehl picks to do a Joe Pavelski did last night for me and literally have two goals and three assists and account have a role in all five goals that they scored, I will feel great about it. Or for night. Their Neil, you gonna Always Jeff, Jeff, watch you, watch them. See. So really, baby. For My ehl picks, as I'm all tree, Lucas, Raymond, more it sutter. I all. I have put a trade together, but I didn't hit send yet. anyways, so we're dropping this podcast on Friday the fourteen, because there's no games today and obviously the showcase starts tomorrow. So this this these picks go from Saturday through next Wednesday. I also be would be remissed to not mention something that I forgot last this week, and that's when we added this EH L P slot. You can pick whatever position you want for that slot, for defense, from our goalie. It is a lot tougher to figure out what goalies are going to play though, in the EHLP. So we can't pick coach. You cannot pick coach. Now coach points. It's like that. Mad Motor, I'm going to do the GM coach mode, but for my picks I'm going to start up front with the wolves, who are the only team in the EH shell that has four games in this window. So I'm trying this strategy that I think Lauren uses is if they play, they have a chance to get points. So I'm going with the fact that they're going to play more games. I'm also going with the fact that ricards Joelenski's has like twenty six points this year and twelve of them have come in showcase, so he's a big showcase guy. Like it should continue. You have three games in the showcase, one game out of the showcase. I have picked you once this year. It was all the way back in a week one, but it's time to go again. Speaking of players that are kind of hot lately, or in showcase, the wizards went to that weird stretch when...

...they couldn't score and now they can't stop scoring right, but get's stuff, just putting all these bucks it's so it's fun. In their last three games, Nicholas de Laire has four points, two goals to assist, so I'm going to have him on the point. I brought up Rost earlier. I have no idea how Ronan mobly feels right now, but they have three games in this window. Hope he gets at least two starts. He was in net for all five of those victors the avalianche had in seven days before the holiday breaks, so he's my picking goal. Back to the eighty sevens, we've talked about a few times so far in this podcast. Anthony mentioned Matt Sas Anna Witz earlier. It doesn't look like he missed a whole bunch of time since November nineteen because he's been at electric like he's been so good for the eighty seven since they returned from the break. He has a point in all four games. He has three goals and four assists, including one game winner. That was the first game back against the little fires and then on from my ehlp selection. My only hesitation with this pick with Michael Scenario is he technically is playing four games and three days when you factor in the EH LP y'All Star game. So I hope he doesn't get tired. But he's an thousand and three, so I feel like the young legs will be fine. He's got twenty five points in twenty three games. So I'm not going to make any guarantees, but I'm hoping. I'm not picking last next week. We will see. Mean Hope you're not picking first. Well, sorry, you know what I mean. Yes, not picking first. I can't. I cannot pick first again. Next up from this past week stretch I mentioned earlier. Twenty seven points, I thought was pretty good for me. Jeff, you had thirty six point two. Whoo, that's a good week. This a very good week. We shouldn't pick second like you shouldn't pick it does. I don't get this. I don't get this year, Jack Divine, I got a gold for you. Matt Herrick got a goal for you. Jeremy Connor had two wins for you, including a bonus win in that victory against the I want to say little fires or ducks, the dock, the Dutchman, and then two goals apiece for Jordan Camilla and Mike the Chatou. So what are your what are your new picks? So the new picks that we have for this week, I'm actually going with a shout out to my friend Terry Watt. Quack quack. We get to protect to your ducks. Coming on down to the team Jefferson ranks and we're going to start with Nick Newman, what almost picked for the NEWINGTON showcase, and then I forget where I went elsewhere. But Newman has been very good. Also just committed to congratulations to him. But since coming back he had a goal in the eighty seven's game. You the day was real hot at that NEWINGTON showcase. Up to thirty six points and twenty eight games. Has Eight helpers on the power play. And then going with a old face that I saw in a different place this year. As far as the protect your ducks are concern, that's Trey Miller. Actually called his games when he was on the Celtirek kings NCDC earlier this year and then he found a better home with Terry and the protect your ducks and he's been playing really well since going down to protect pawns. And it's going to be interesting, though, because him and Batt a dead. He played the two games against a little flyers, got wins and both of those. Please put up another forty five save on forty nine shot effort. That would be very welcome. To thirty two saves. Some thirty five shots will take all those saves. So I'm interested to see what Terry does. They played three times this weekend and we'll see how he shakes it up. But Open Trey gets a few more opportunities than Mr Tristan fat a dead, but we will see. Then next we got Garedale Bertie. If you guys, I'm all caught up on my living the dream. I texted coach for graph and just watching some of that the other day. I forget it was, I don't know it was Tory. IINAN or one of them that that chirped Albertie and said the guys he's he'll get you all the helpers in the world but he can't score goals. That's not true. canty goals on the year. He I was like going at too. He's having a good year quietly. Yeah, a lot of power play points to for those powerplay goals, nine power play assists. Little bit of a Pim Sky to El Bertie. Fifty of PIMS that we don't get the pimps points for fantasy, but that'll be jeff will chains next year. Yeah, play recently to so. Yeah, yes, exactly, and he's been fun to watch on that, living the dream. So make sure you guys could check that out. Sack Hims do an awesome job with that. You can see that on the junior warriors youtube page. And then we're going to finish things up. Actually know it's still got the P to Karen Chung. Anthony picked him a little while ago. I think you're the only one that's picked him this year, Anthony. If I remember correctly, he's been a point per game player for coach Lad and coach Brown. Nineteen points nineteen games. Big powerplay guy, powerplay goal and eight power play assists. And then we're going to...

...go chalk with the EHLP pick and we're going with Philip Parker, who is leading the HLP in points and he's going to be on team low and team Jepperson this weekend with the great all stars, Twenty one goals, twenty one assists for Phil and he's got six goals on the power play. Two of those are two power play assists. A forty two points and twenty three games for Philip Parker. When he say Anthony, as long as Jefferson's finished. Good. What one thing on to talk about Karen Chong. Two things. First off, he's only two thousand and three, so the fact that he's a point per game with the rough riders as a no three is fantastic. And the other thing too, is that he will be representing Great Britain's national team for an upcoming you eighteen tournament. So he'll be playing on the international stage. That is I think. Is He gonna Miss Time with the rough riders because of that? I'm not sure. I will find out this weekend of the showcase. Yeah, because that's easy on our top pair. Also Great Guy, by the way. I got to talk to him before the game against the eighty seven's and we're talking about British hockey in the United Kingdom and they called the Wheat League over there and I think it's the notting him panthers that he's a fan of. It's every awesome. Not a him panthers game before. Maybe it's coming on us at'll put it on NBCAE like they have the premier league soccer, right. But Jeff, that this is this is random too, but justin gave us a really good stat nuggets and same thing just finished. Two on the sevens domination in this winning streak that we have to mention. Do we mention the forty eight hundred and twenty two outscoring that they've done of their opponents over the streak? Anthony Use the word dominant a few times. He didn't say the number. The number is pretty it's pretty scace for and twenty two against. They're not giving up a lot and they're scored a lot. And now it's actually turn it to kind of a tandem to between Haynes and Connor. Yes, kind of like kind of heard me last week. I thought Jeremy was going to get three or out of the four and then he got two and too. Well, Jeff, the the one number I did bring up was the the last three games because those have been more, I guess, like one side games where they've outscored two thousand sixteen twenty four, because in the the early stages of the winning Shriek. They're still winning one goal games to goal games. But you're also right where Owen Haynes has been terrific. I don't know if you remember, but Jeremy Connor started the first six or seven games in goal for the eighty seven. So it looked like they were going to be riding him very often this season. But they bought Haines, who played a little bit for the Titans, North American Hockey League team. He came back down and he's been up so in addition for the titans and goal and it gives connors the chance to breathe, yea and actually share the workloade. But they have both been on top of their team right now. And there's our opening to Anthony's fantasy week. Well, no, I can't go yet. I can't go yet because it came down in the last game and he jumped floor. And by a point. Because, Jeff, I thought twenty seven points was good for me. I thought you're thirty plus is good for you ros but they are like well, this role on and get forty seven and forty eight, like what? What? Sorry to recap Lauren's week because I picked Rossy once he got her six points. Ryan Bro ended up getting her just two points, so she can be mad about that. But getting in, Sullivan got twenty one because he made a hundred and ten saves. So Lot my two wins for cohottic with thirty eight saves. Replace that with a hundred and ten. Right. It's just unbelievable. Colin Callan, and I guess we should just start picking him before Lauren does, starting next week, right, because he got hurt. How you guys let him? I have had him twice. I was like, Oh my God, I've definitely had him at least twice. I'm trying to spread the love. He had thirteen points for her. And then is this all? Then Swizz is that how he said? We pronounced it because Swiss, I guess. Actually the teeth at it. Yes, and he said it is Swiss. Okay, he got you five points and forty seven should have won the week, but, as we will get to, Anthony had the better week. Yeah, thank you, Billy. Oh God. All right. Well, I still I'm picking some heavy hitters this week and picking one face I think is new to fantasy for us. Up Front with the full words. I'm taking Michael Tersoni from the avalanche. He's been a huge impact guy for them. He's got forty one points over twenty seven games this season, which is pretty solid. I think that's just shy of like two points per game, which is pretty good. He's got a couple game winners, quite a few power play points going on, so I'm excited to pull him up there and following along at defense. This is a fun name. We were talking about him earlier. He's a new face for the eighty seven, Mr Jimmy metler. It took him, I think, like two games to finally get on the square she like I was saying, and that was pretty good for him and he's like didn't take him too long to Mesh with them. In the fact that he's with Matt Hair, I...

...think that'll be a good fit for him. Clearly it's been paying awf lately, so that'll be fun. We'll see how long they can ride that wind streak. That's been cool thing to watch in goal. I think he's a new face for fantasy. For us. I haven't remembered seeing anyone picking the yet. I'm taking it William Bill Aquy from the lumberjacks. He's been holding it down in net for them recently, so I'm excited to see what else he can do for them. I think one of his last Games was well, you played ball games against the walls, right. I think he had a shutout. Yeah, the last one he had was a shutout, which is pretty solid. He had a three four loss the first time, but honestly it's pretty pretty solid considering the fact that they hadn't played since. He hadn't played in the game since the showcase, I believe, or maybe right after. So that's pretty good for him on excited to see what he can do for my team, see how he can help the lumberjacks climb back up the standings. For my utility pick, I'm picking from my Ehl all stars, Mr Kevin Johnston from the New England wolves. He's been a fun one for them. He's been getting them quite a few points. He's got twenty two and twenty seven games played. He's a pretty good guy. He's definitely not a fan of the penalty box, which is going only a penalty minutes. I'm excited to keep him keep him out on the ice. So that'll be good. And for my hlp pick, this one I'm super excited picking another one from Jeff and I is All Star Team, Mr Evan Gravel from the Wallpole Express. That kid is between him and Phil like those two are gross for that team. He has thirty seven points in twenty five games played. Also another kid that's not a fan of the penalty box, only twelve penalty minutes so far. He's got four game winners this season, quite a few power play points shorthanded. This kid just he does it all. He's just he's really great all around. So I'm excited to pullman for my team and see what he can do this weekend. So week one of the EH L P, addition, he both pays for Rangers. Week two, you both pick express. Is this this is going to be a trend? Like I was just gonna work? Did you talk about this? Is this just because you're you're on the same EH L P allstar staff, if you will? Last week we were the Smart Ones who picked pee kids from the teams that had the most games. So this week I just kind of did the same, but there was a there's a few teams that had like similar amount of games. But I decided to go with him because he's one of the top players in the piece but looking good lately, big point getter, so I figured I give him a try. Okay, well, we're friends. You know that. We're not helping is shot. I'm just shot a figures. Weird. If there is some conversations behind the scenes, we'll just will address a later. So, Lauren, I will be trying to apply collusion. Never never, but we'll get to Anthony's picks and what I want to point out first for you, Anthony, because as we know now, our lineups have five players on them. But really take out Duffy for Anthony, because aunt Duffy got him three points. That the spartans and Cooper Board only played one game. He didn't score a port in that game. So Anthony's best week of all four of us came from three guys. D Like oppressive and like. They only came from three guys. Billy Harden, who, if we end up doing some sort of like fantasy all star team at end of the year, has probably scored the most points. And this right because I think if we could do something where it's when the guys were picked, he's probably accumuled in more fantasy points for one of us than anybody any other play in the league. He got fourteen points. For Anthony, I'm going to use another line I've already used. I have thirty eight saves. Lauren had a hundred and ten anthea had a hundred and thirty saves and Bernard, Jackson, Bernard, we're not I didn't win a game for him. I think had one a game Abat. We be in the s right now. But that got him sixteen points and, as I said earlier when I added the ehlp player in, it proves I'm not cheating because Trent King went out and got unt to make fifteen points himself. He Bernard, may not have gotten any wins, but he did earn himself college commitments. So claps the dread. Yes, I want to get to that as second but let's first get to Anthony's fantasy picks to try and go back to back forty eight point weeks. Well, first I just TAK to give a shout out to Trent King and, as I mentioned before, it's like what the ehl guys said, no cheek talks, all highlight real goals from him and he can score by the boatload. So thank you, Trent seek, for helping out. So the thing I'm in the basement, though it's pretty dark down here. It's not really going to this week. The holy the dam your and giving you a flash to get out of the basement right. Literally, you got a room it, but you're not a nave is steel. So at the forward position, Lauren Pick Michael Tersoni. I'm going to go with Matt Carlson. He has fifteen goals, thirty four points in twenty eight games and in the the final four games of December he put up seven points. So I think he can carry that over to this into the countary or two thousand and...

...twenty two. Defense, Bingo Blango. Got To go Chris Blindo. I was on the call for his debut with the little flyers. We're talking about guys who like to perform well in the showcases, but he got that over time, one against the sea coast Spartans, and I think he'll prety be a great addition on team Anthony. Thirteen points in twelve games. Then in goal, I'm going with Niko career. He has plays. Look at him and I think that was a good pick. I almost picked him. Yeah, he recently came onto the valley junior warriors and he's played two games for them so far. He's had some pretty good are pretty good games in there. He's posted over a nine hundred safe percentage and one of them. So I think that the more he gets settled in, I think he'll be a good additioning in goal. For Utility, I have to go to my own team here. Definitely Okaine. He has four points in his last two games. When he came back in the game against the protect junior ducks, he didn't put up any points. He was kind of getting his legs back, but he picked up a goal and an assist against the rough riders. He scored twice against team Maryland and I think that now he's really putting it together. Adam Jolie, Matt Kiernan were really excited about bringing him in from Chicago and now I think we're starting to see to see what he's capable of. So I can't wait to see what he can do in the showcase. Then my ehl premier pick going to stick with the eighty seven is. I'M gonna have to go with will O'Brian. He scored two goals against the New Jersey running gades and I mentioned before he has the really good condor true with Jeffrey boker. And one thing outside of hockey I want to mention. They're both from Pittsburgh and they were telling me about the chargers raiders game they were watching and they were going out of their minds because if that game was in a tie, yeah, that was not Pittsburgh out of the playoffs. I want the whole thing. I needed that. I wanted it to happen. So when the I think it was the raiders right they got the field goal, they were so happy they they both told me how crazy they were going inside the house. I was talking to some of the other guys that live with them. They're like, yeah, it was pretty nuts hearing both of them. But O'Brien's gonna go on my andsy team as the premier slot. We're not an if NFL podcast any means, but there is a b there is a bet taking place this weekend. That's where everyone knows. The assistant coach for the sevens is Justin Friedman. He is a big time Buffalo Bills Fan. The bills are facing the Patriots. Yes, I am a Patriots Fan. Everyone likes to give me a hard time, lightly that Oh, no, everyone likes some really what you deal that my daddy. My Dad plays with the buccaneers. Now everyone likes to give that hard time to me. So I do like the Patriots still, but Justin and I have a simple back going that. On Sunday, because the showcase goes Saturday, Sunday, Monday, someone is putting on a Jersey of the other team at the showcase. So we'll have a little fun with that. But with Dad. There's a lot of thought to in our what to watch for segments, and let's go there before we wrap things out. Here's what to watch for it this week in the east show. What to watch force presented by Hockey TV, the official streaming platform for your EHL and EHLP action through the two thousand and twenty one, two thousand and twenty two season. I mentioned earlier one of these past episodes. What are we watching for on the second half, and Lauren kind of just brought this up. I was I'm excited to watch for all the commitments that we're going to get in the second half and the first one that stands out is the one from Jackson Bernard just now. Adrian College is one of the top programs in all of division three hockey. Bernard is the second player in league history to go there and he's the first ever commitment straight from our league. The first kid that ended up at Adrian was discut can named Trevor Coykendell, who played for the little fires. I want to say it was the two thousand and sixteen seventeen season. Then when spend a year in the Cechl then went to Adrian. So Jackson Bernard is the first true commitment to Adrian direct from our league. So huge shout out to him, because every we won this week of the d three right. They are one of the top teams in division to luck they're there. Head coach is Adam Kruge, Tori's brother. Like they are one of the top teams and all division three hockey. So that's like, honestly, that doesn't surprise me. Like, if you've watched Bernard at all this season, like even losses, like he looks great, like he just I don't know what it is about him, but he just he knows what he's doing. He like he reads the game very well. He's just a solid guy in the nest. As Dad's also awesome to I mean having your dad work for the Chango Blackhawks. He knows the thing of two but thing you're two free family. Good for him. And what's great about the Bernard Commitments It's actually not the only...

...goalie commit that we recently have. We also had Nathan Miller, who just committed to Babson. So two of the three goalies that were on the Ehl all star team that faced curry and you mass Boston have got committed. It's always funny the goalie seemed to go a little bit quicker from that team because of what they do against those colleges. Maybe it's their first chance to show what they can do at that next level. I don't think cool Hannick is gonna commit. He's only a outto so he has another year to come back. So we won't go he's do we we won't go three hundred and forty three with that. But there's been a bunch of commitments in the past couple weeks or so. Obviously we've all seen what the avalanche have done with their with their massive list, but I think what's really been interesting to me is almost like this internal competition between Sunny Fre Donia and sunny brockport for who can commit more players from the league. It's awesome. We've a lot going to wolf. It's awesome. And it's funny because Ryan Dickinson, new coaches at Brock Bart, used to coach under Jeff Meredith at Sunny Fre Donia. So the connections are huge there. Jeff Meredith's son played in our league right played for the Wallpule ex best jeff's favorite, red train, now plays at brockports. So two schools that will just always bring our guys that. I posted the Joe Idolson Story. Interesting enough. This is our Nin dyea the EHL. Suffolk has committed at least one player from the ehl in all nine seasons, which is just awesome. So tons of tons of commitments and and I like what you did there, Jeff. There's gonna be susy plenty more coming through. But of course, with it being a showcase weekend, it's a jam pack schedule once again. Not As long as our original showcase, the first one of the year, but it's thirty eight games or so. Are there any matchups that you guys immediately have circle? I'M gonna immediately throw out some pe love and say I think it'll be fun. I think it's Monday morning. The Red Train and the blue trainer taken matchup together that day and I think that's always exciting both in the e and the P, watching the red train the blue train go off together. So I think that'll be definitely a fun one to watch, especially for them coming off of the All Star Game Saturday night. I think that'll be interesting to see what happens. Anthony, this is a perfect time. That is a good matchup lor and I'm excited to watch that one too. Anton, this is the perfect time for you to tell me how many times am I going to schedule the eighty sevens versus seahawks in the HLP this season? I have no idea. I know a lot of call for that one. So I'm getting very familiar with the seahawks, almost like their home broadcaster. But you live in New Jersey. Yeah, giving some competition to Jefferson Mills, I mean now Jimmy Cabe yes, yeah, it's not my jet. Got My JMS nixed up. That's right. Well, boys, show myself and we're we're talking about what to watch for, and I just want to go back outside of the showcase for a second. Kaden PREMU got called up from Laval Rocky back to the Montreal Canadiens. I do think that. Yeah, that's something that I thought it's worth bringing up. New Jersey native ehl Alum Neil vans NA shell fantasy team has been sitting on my bench all year long for this rotting and so ideals take to seems good for date. Just have prevoke it it. It's so all justice sensod Justin rust the League or probably like what is this kid doing putting an a shell goalie on this team? Just taking him a bench spot, like why is he such an idiot? But you know what, that moment is coming. That moment is cutting. Thank you, Anthony. Other side of the bed time and when the Bruins Pound Montreal, I'm like it's time, just give them the chance. Let's go. So thank you. Every brings thank you bring that up and I bring up that age seven seahawks thing because not often do you see a team from the South Division play a team in an east division four times in one regular season, but with my showcase scheduling they do this year. Welcome. Yeah, I think by the time it was the the wall pole or the the new team showcase. I'm looking at the schedule and I'm just thinking it's Deja Vu all over again. These things are really going to hate each other by the end of this showcase, or maybe by the frozen finals. But we won't get too far ahead of ourselves just yet. There any other games that you guys have circle? I like eighty sevens railers two o'clock on it looks to be Sunday. Not sure if I have that game or not. I look back on my schedule, but that's should be a great one. Right. You Get two teams we've argued about where they should be in the power rankings, so that's a power rankings matchup and eighty sevens, the hottest team in the league. railers starting to find their strata, get on this four game winning streak and I'm...

...sure coach for Tony, the Odessa family and the rest of the railers to say, Oh, you only want to put us up five, we won for street. Why don't we just go take down Adam Julie MACIERDON'S NEW JERSEY? Eighty seven's it Justin freebit as well, and they don't shake things out. If you are calling that game or Anthony is calling that game and the other person is off. Can you please do what you did the last time we were in exit there and stand on that platform whatever together behind the beds, together, arm in arm, calling the game. I was like, all right now, you moved the last okay, you won't. I haven't. I haven't been scheduled t any EHL games in this showcase. I have to pee games and then the pollstar game. Boy, I will be more than willing to maybe do an ehl game alongside Jefferson. We've done a couple this year. The showcase is a couple eighty sevens peace, a seven seahoks back again. A game that I have circled is taking place Sunday morning at one thousand and ten in exitter EHL lumberjacks and ducks. I think the way that those two teams play, it could be a touchdown to a touchdown extra point, like it could be running gun. So I'm kind of hoping for that one. There's a lot of good games in the schedule with that one to me looks like one that I have circle from the very beginning. Of course, of all the games that we have on the schedule, ehl and EHLP the biggest one for us is the EHLP All Star game on Saturday night. That's our first time ever having this event. As I as I actually wrote in my quote for the story, we've talked about this for the longest time. We just haven't been able to have it because of covid or no showcases are you name it. So to actually have this EHLP all star game to me is great because it's going to be an awesome showcase of literally almost every single birth year that you can be and junior hockey is represented in this game. Anthony is calling the game, Tyler's doing hisllor, Lauren is inside the glass. So it's gonna be it's going to be a good one and I will for those that are poking at my pats fan hood. Now there is a bar in the restaurant. Do there's a bar in the restaurant. So I have a rose. I already like. I already know exactly what I'm going to stand. There's a perfect spot where I could see everything. I can look to my left, I guess you last there. Yeah, see what was doing, was going on over on the TV, and then looked at our right and here's the game going on to be perfect. So and any thoughts you guys have on the EHLP Allstar you. I'm so excited that. Plus, like getting to hang out on the benches again like I did for the UHL allstars, would be like. I'm definitely looking forward to that. I think these guys are all getting super excited about it. I'm excited about the guys we've picked on both teams. I think it'll be such a fun matchup. Plus, it'd be kind of cool to see the gray in the White Jersey's making other parrots again. We've seen the blues and the reds twice now, so it's time to give a second look to the lights in the grays. So I think it'll be pretty fun. Anthony, it's our time, it's our going down. Like you wish. We're going down the see Laura Ready, baby, as we Orton from afar. But I got Bailey hockey and if well, you know what wanna what when I did when I did the Qa with Colin bellow, because he was in the Allstar game played for team gray, and I thanked him because it looked like my team was going to get shut out for two games in a row and then he scored that hat trick to give team gray the win. Yes, so I was joking with him where I said that when they're getting shot out, that I would never become an armchair gm again because it's much harder than it looks. I'm clearly not good at it. But he was able to pull through and it's great this game for us because it's an additional ten fantasy points right for whoever wins. It's either Anthony and I get ten points each or Jeff and longe the ten points each. This is monument of this is money like this is literally if we don't get these ten points each, Anthony, we're in a race third and they're in a race for you're going to keeping in roommates and so organizament. We're going to have to have some sort of pregame speece that we come up with and we go into the locker room probably about ten minutes for Gamestar assister really get the boys fired up. But, as I mentioned, there's a ton of big games on the schedule, including that EHLP all star Game Games taking place both in exitor and in a hook set. If you can't make it to either rank you can catch all the Games and hockey TV, and let's have a good final fifth and final showcase does thanks for listening to the e show.
