On this week's episode, we kick things off with will Rosen, a forward for team Maryland. Will joins the podcast to discuss his charitable hockey apparel company, called every shift hockey. The e crew then returns for the first time since Thanksgiving, recapping what's taken place in the weekly rundown. As for the fantasy challenge, along with an update on the overall standings, we make new picks that take us up to the holiday break. Finally, with another showcase on tap this upcoming week, we each highlight some games that we have circled on the schedule. I'm enjoyed now by team marilynd forward, will rosen. How's it going? Well, great, thanks for having me on. Thanks for coming on. A Great Story to talk about here. But let's first start talking about what brought you first to the EH shell. Yeah, I did my last year of school at the Northwood School, one like classes. Had a great experience there and after my my senior graduated, started my year with Walpole and then what's your last year? And then this year joined my hometown team back home in Maryland. We have a great group and we're really excited about what's going to go on this year. So there's two falloups and want to ask that. First, you played prep in Northwood. When you play other prep play are your teammates, if you will, in the EHL. What is that experience like for you? It's great. We actually have two other Northwood guys on our team, which is kind of fun, and also our coach, our assistant coach, went to northwoods. We have a lot of connections and so it's fun to see you guys guys around like that. And then you mentioned it. You're playing for your hometown team. Now. You had prior experience. Fourteen, you fifteen, you sixteen, you AAA. With Maryland. Does it all feel like a came full circle for you? Absolutely, you know, I left home early in my youth because I thought that was the best path. So it's funny how things work out when I'm coming back for my last year, back to definitely full circle and I'm I couldn't be happy about the bottom and now and I definitely want to talk more about team Maryland your experience there later on. But the bigger reason why I brought you on this podcast is a company that you started, so let's get to that. What brought like what brought you to create esg? And what is ESG? Yeah, so the company is called every shift hockey. During Covid I started a nonprofit company to help her mind players that you know, we shouldn't take anything for granted. That every shift is a gift, just like our slogan says, and we have two great charities that benefit from it. First, in the national scale, we picked the USA hockey membership relief funds, which AIDS families to help pay for their USA hockey registration peace and then second locally in my hometown, we picked a rink called the Fort Dupont ice arena, which is the rank that I said I grew up playing on. The first time I played just great and they have programs on and off ice for people of all ages and background. So it's really cool. And you know, we have our website, every shift hockeycom, and you know we have a ton of cool new gear. Just put up our new knit hats a holiday season, if you want to gifted to somebody, and as well as other t shirts and pullers like this one we're now. So it's a lot of cool gear for really great cause. And how did you come up with the idea though? This one of those like...

...you thought of it while you're in the shower right before you go to bed. Like, how did you come up with the idea? It's funny, but it's something. It actually came from my mom. It's something my mom used to say to me right before I get out the carp plying youth hockey should say, you know, remember every shift is a gift. So that's really the name comes from. We do. It just kind of started rolling from there. It just became really relevant just to keep it going and not to get thing for granted. And you bring up covid in, which is a topic that we've obviously covered at length on so many episodes on this podcast. How, in particular, was your season disruptive by Covid last year? So last year I was it was difficult. You know, we're wearing masks and mass us on the ice, off the ice and are you know, some games were reschutled, what not. The the the biggest part and one of the main reasons I started this companies. When I was actually at Northwood, which we talked a little bit earlier, we were on our way to the state tournament and in three days before we all had to leave school and Covid Shit everything down. So it's just know it give another example that you just never know what's going to happen and you get another chance. So that's really where it all started from. As a player who goes through something like that, how often do you have to kind of pinch yourself because you want to go back and finish that year, but know that you weren't the only hockey player that went through that? Absolutely like they're you know, everybody has a story similar to that. So that's why I think this is still relatable that guys, guys can can go on and see that. You know, everyone is going through ups and downs of hockey and covid whatnot, things that you can control the things that you can't. So you have to remember that you when you get those opportunities, just to make the most of them and you create this company. You link at the two charities that you just reference. How did you pick those two charities? How do you even go about approaching those charities and describing what you're doing so locally? First, that that rink. I grew up and I played youth hockey there, I played high school there and I know the staff a little bit, so it was not super hard to get in the door there, being a local guy. Send the few emails and Networking and, you know, maybe a little bit difficult for the USA Hockey Fund, but you know, we're looking forward to at the end of a year when we started to send the chapter both of them. So are you looking to add more charities if you want it to kind of start with those two first and see how this grows? Yeah, we're leaving all possibilities open. You just we're just, you know, we started this last March. We're just seeing where things go, what people like, the products they like and what really catches fire. So we're excited to see about. Whatever happens, it's going to stick with this for now. But if other other teams want to get involved and put our stuff on their on their clothing or appareled, and we'd be happy to work with them about charities that they want to benefit as well. So, and that's my next question here, how can the different people around the EHL help contribute, the teams, to coaches, the players? How can they all support esg? Well, first of all, like I said, you can go to our website. I'll drop it again, every ship, hockeycom or. We have tons of apparel, which is pretty cool. I think you know. We designed them, so you can get your stuff there. But also, if you want to reach out to our to our email, every shift, hockey at gmailcom. Like I said, we'd be willing to work with you guys, put in our logo with your stuff if you like our message and and helping the support charities that you find relevant or important to you and your local area. and You keep saying we. I know your spearheading this, but who's the weed that's helping you? Behind the scenes. It's no, it's my family, it's friends, you know, I get ideas from everywhere. So whoever you know wants to jump on board and I say I know. I don't say no in anybody if so. So it's only been a year right, as you are just saying. What are the goals? How Dy do you want this thing to get and where do you want to go? Just I just want to spread this match's message as far as you can go. Obviously it's a pretty niche community with with hockey, but if it spreads farther,...

...so be it. Like I said, like it. We're just we're just going and seeing, running with it and see what happens. And and yeah, how do you balance it while being an agelt player, you know, playing junior hockey? It's it's honestly a great time. It's gives me something to do coming home from the rink, you know, step away from hockey. But it combines, you know, my passion for the sport, you know, as well as given back. So you know, there are times for to work on it and it's really it's no issue because it's ton of fun. I love doing it and I brought up earlier you're with Maryland now. You kind of returned home for your final year. What is that experience and been like? And when did you know in this season that you made the right decision? I knew right away, even in the summer. I'd worked a little bit with both of our coaches. We have a great, great coaching staff and we have a really great group of guys. So I just knew kind of from training camp and our first couple games that wow, like we we really have a good group here and we can do some great things and along run. How many games though into the year, because Maryland this is obviously far and away the best season that the program has ever had. I at least started with how many games end of the year. Did maybe you are even coach Fusco say, Hey, guys, I told you so. This is a pretty special group. We had meetings about it from the very start and coach Busco and I know we guys have talked about how this this this is a great group. So I don't know exactly how many games. We were just on a roll and we just kept going. We you know, we we trust them and he knows a lot about the game and what works. So we're just we're just falling a lead and doing everything we can. It's awesome. Well, for one file question before I bring in my crew for the rest of the podcast. I have to defend myself a little bit here because I said to podcast to go. I'm to have you give me this answer because I know you're going to say is the self division the toughest division in the EHL? Absolutely it is. We have the the best all around teams. That's going to be a tight race of the very ends and hopefully wind up on the top of it, and that's what we expect about we have no three other great teams in the conference, so it'll be a bottle all the way through it. Well, the website. Once again, folks, it's every shift hockey. It's absolutely awesome cause and you're doing it all well. You're aging on a in your hockey, so keep killing it. However we can help. We're all in and gone rest of the season. Thanks so much. Thanks for having me own thanks again to will rosen's come on the podcast this week talking about every shift is a gift to the website. Every shift hockey and awesome charity foundation that he created. So if you have the chance to go on and purchase a shirt pull over. Had anything, it goes to the two charities that he mentioned. But with that, let's bring the e crew back in. And guys, I know it's only been ten only two weeks, but it feels like a month. And who who are you, guys really rather anthony, the Paulo, Lawrence Smith, justice, Materia. High friends to see you all. We I didn't have you on last week. I apologize for that. It was the hundred episode. I hope you had a chance to listen, because Mick was awesome and mark was pretty awesome also. So it was a pretty cool final, or hundredth episode, I should say. I think it was perfect, though we have the know not. Can we call him the creator of the H L? You will mark couple kind of right. Yeah, right, so that he was perfect to have. And then, yeah, I mean mixed Nick Dievre. Story kind of tells itself. But well, you said, if you haven't listened to it at a reason hockey league done ord still on the website. Episode Number One hundred and good. Check it out. It's a great one. COPS is awesome. Miss less heard his voice. Is Graves, you back two years ago, right now, we first started together to some of the stories, man like the frozen finals when John Roguer poned up at mark sitting in the press box. I remember that copall get down here. These rafts are drop every expedition. Yeah,...

...it's like, well, we created an event that they want to win, so we got that right. But it was a comes back. He's like it was a pretty special episode. I was also going to start by saying nothing's happened between the last two times. They we've both all been on together. Actually, a lot has happened. Let's let's get to it. In the way to rundown, it's time for the e cruise weekly run down. He sure week we run down is brought to you by the junior hockey podcast. You over drinking hockey news, knowledge and nonsense chipping on a tjj podcastcom I'll start with a comment that I saw that there's no more fasinating position in sports, and the emergency backup goaltender is in the hockey we took, which is what Kyle Conan got to do. A former lumberjack and avalanche. Did you all see the warm up lap without the helmet on? Why are you around the icon, absolute rock star like that is awesome. It's just non stop. The next day we were all text each other with twitter. Was Just Kyle Con Kyle con it just like you said, first man out. He's just like Hey, I'm going to Jordan. Bennington's my baby. Let's go that. The rookie lap is like special to like there's a defense been for the avalanche, Fritz, who played his first game of the year Sunday against the wolves and they made him to a rookie lap. Not really the same, but like seeing Conan out there, I was like, Kyle Conan isn't a NHL player for like saw it. Was it three years ago? Yeah, two thousand, two thousand and nineteen. I was just talking to Zach Needham about it, to Zach Edom from he does the video for valid. He was telling me that they were actually teammates for a little allow when they were both on the Abas and the lumberjacks together. So I thought that was kind of funny to hear him talk about that. He was like yeah, we live together for a little bit were teammates, and I was like, Oh, that's pretty neat. How many texts did you guys get asking what Ebug stood for. Surprisingly, though, I got like twenty. I was like this, is it not? Is it not that common? The people not know what this is like? The night not see Scott Foster and David Ayres? They did not see why. I think David Air's put it on the map really right. That then it had to have. That had to be like the moment that were where it became a thing, because every city has one right and I think you're guaranteed to take us to every game and you're just kind of on a page er right if you get paid to sit there every game. Boss of roots are Pretty Tho. This one. Before David Ayres, there was Scott Foster, who came in for the Chicago Blackhawks. Yes, yes, CPA, he was countainted. I just got finished up this ten forty easy, real quick. Hold on, all right, I'm ready. Yeah, it's actually it's actually pretty funny. When I work for the New Jersey Titans in the North American Hockey League, one of the coaches who's also the director scouting for a bit, Gary Biggs. He was actually actually the emergency backup for the predential center for the Devil's and as far as I know, I think he's still might be in that position. And when the Devil's had that game against the Winnipeg jets when Corey Schneider came out mid game due to an injury, he actually had to shoot up. He showed me a picture a couple of days later of him and gear just ready to go. See. He's boring. That Cool Jersey who, on a on air and off Air Jeff is not a fan of the New Jersey Devil's New Jersey's anyone, literally, not her one human. That said, they enjoy that truths. But just justin just brought up a really good point kyle cody being the emergency backup goalie. He's now at the same tier as to caress who is also the current Ebug for the Boston Bruins. Yes, he is. And if Tyler Ingo we have if he's listening, he's just got very excited because he's the biggest Uka fan in the world. But it's...

...just it was just cool to see the whole thing transpire. Of course, like whatever, stuff like that tastes place. Like Steven Browla here this like he texted me was like did you see the news? You textually two days later. Did you see Conan was the it was the Ebug, like yeah, yeah, I obviously I saw not. I not under a rock like it was two days ago, but whatever, it's all in good fun, like I obviously everyone wants to make sure we got it out there. Trying to get kyle on the podcast here soon, because, honestly, the question, the first question is what's it like to be an NHL player for the night? The second question is, in that moment, are you freaking out saying if this, if something happens, I have to go in and I have to stop a victor headman shot, like that's a about that could be a reality and like the snap of a finger. But he didn't. He didn't play. But Hey, you never know what the future holds with that, though. We have to get the power rankings for the EHL, because last time I got had you guys on was literally the Thanksgiving episode right that that was Turkey stuff all like, like so much has happened since then. Who is the number one team in the EHL? A trade nine and one of the last ten they lost. They lost on the day that we dropped the last power rankings, but they want every game after that. Yeah, WHO's who? Is Number One. Golden Trio? Yeah, but I think the railers are up there. See, you think the real stay at one despite losing two? Walpole, like every every team in the top five suffered a loss, except for the avalanche, will only played one game, and one by a goal in the second of what was a backtoback for their opponent, the wolves. So I don't think the avalanche by any means can go all the way up to one because they won one game. that'specially teams are playing like severally in the last ten is barrel's at five, five, roses at a seven, thirty two, one, Clib what's crazy is like there's two teams in particular that are kind of lower and game counts. Wooster, who has six games from the ninth to the twenty two, like here we go, buckle up, and the little flyers, who I want to say have five games and then they have like eleven in January. Right like the by the time I get to end a January, all the game counts will be pretty equal because I think the teams know what they want in February and they're pretty consistent and they kind of seven eight game rangs to kind of get themselves ready for the playoffs, but we have to start somewhere and it's probably between the railers and wall pole. For Number One. I had a year got to pope express up there. They're literally nine and one in the last ten games. They've beat the seahawks twice and only lost them once on Thanksgiving, and they beat the railers four and two. So I think that gives him a bit of an edge. I'll go wall pole one, I'll go wabble. One of us been we don't let me get my wabble express bills at played the Justice Materia bade me out about that and you yeah, Jeff, you are right. You are red trained true with their like. was go through my goals and fixes here and I was like, Scott Bird it, Scot bird checks. But what you think? Go back by. You mentioned this earlier. You mentioned the trio that they've used because Owen Suan Bond Swaman on that Saturday when they were down for one. So if you're the seahawks right, you went on Thanksgiving, you're up for one. After twenty minutes you're like we could sweep walpole and like watch this momentum. Swambon comes in Theys thirty plus saves and two periods. They come back to win that game. Then they come back and beat the railers. They have to be one right now. Worcester. I think we put back at to because the rangers haven't been perfect. The rangers have a loss to the wolves in there...

...and a great performance by Gillerman for the wolves. Forty three saves. Forty three save. That's I mean, the second I saw that I was like, yeah, that's coally the week like he can't top that. Yeah, especially, I guess the Rangers Squad that's quite a few pucks back with it doesn't usually give up many either. And I stopped by that game today just to watch Nathan Miller get his twelfth all time shut out. All right, so he had six for the entire year last year and he has six before Christmas this year. Like we're sending him to eastern he's match it. Devil re bought Easter huskies. It doesn't look speaking of stuff that's taken place since the last podcast, Jeffy, more you Andy Moore, last year's rookie of the year, Commiss the northeastern. He'll be a guest on they'll be a guest on next week's podcast. Yes, let's go so back to like my boy before, nothing took place. Everything took place in the last two weeks, right now, a long I have to here there, kyle coded in the easterns all of the plays. Well, of all the emails that Justin gets from me, I'm sure nothing pisses them off more than the alumni update, because it's every single week, right, Justin. Yes, and I have to dig for the photos every time, but twice last reason the best. Like well, and I have to I have one coming tomorrow, right, because I forgot Auntie and dog Gozzo is still playing at you mass. He's a senior now, right, New Jersey rocket's right years. Yeah, this, the last week, was the second time this season that the EH shell swept all three SUNIAC awards. Ryan Romeo, Nolan Egbert, who's won goalie of the week three times, and Auntie del Tufo, who's won goalie of the week and rookie of the week. Like like walk off track, off track for a second. But yes, so much has happened. One Walpole, two railers, three rangers. No, who. That was very emphatic. No, three, three, avalanche. I got the avalanche for Rangers. Yeah, yeah, Rangers through them. And we're recording this in the middle of a Rangers home and home series with the wizards, who probably are trying to are going to messages me soon and say can we move out of the Rangers Division because we haven't scored against them? And Three Games, I've shout out though wizards to nothing and they beat the wolves three to two, whereas the Rangers lost to the wolves and they're only games since. See Twelve Pole, I'm agreeing with you. I'll put avalanche at three, I'll put rangers at for but if the Rangers get another shut out against the wizards tomorrow, it's four straight games without a goal against your division opponent. That would be insane. That would be simply insane. But if we stick with that Wallpole one, railers to avalanche, three and Rangers for why we just locked in Philly at five. Yes, who's in the Howard fas fought? You say yes quickly, but I know they beat Marylyn for their for their first one of the season against Maryland, but they also had that loss to the seven S. and when you guys have a chance to listen to will Rosen's episode which the interview, I should say, which I've recorded minutes before we all got on. You'll love my last question for will because I had to get it out there. The South Division. He confirmed it is the toughest. Confirmed by will rose move I had added the eighty sevens are proving up in we're gonna get eighty seven's update from you. Do He as? The eighty seven's are writing a four game winning Shriek. Their offense has clicked. They have outscored oponents twenty to twelve in those four games and their power play, which has been their weakest spot, coming into their game against the...

...protect junior ducks, they went for seven on the power play. It was almost automatic. Whatever holy calls for the past week, I don't even say hello or what's up. I answer the phone with don't let the sevens get hot and he's like yeah, we're not higher and you want it then you want to what the most impressive just more hang on. And the most impressive thing about this hot streak they're on right now is that this is still without their leading scorer in Matt Zadanowitz, without Devlin O'Kane and ever Schneider. Those are three huge offensive pieces that they're still missing, and they were able to beat the little flyers eight, five and then the protect junior ducks six, three. So he scored fourteen goals with them, three major contributors. Trouble, though, are you making a push for them to be number five, anthony? The little flyers have been playing well too. I wouldn't mind putting them at five. And maybe the eighty sevens receiving votes. And one of the reasons why I say that too is because the eighty sevens have a test coming up on Friday against team Maryland. So I think that game will certainly be a very a barometer of how they sack up against a very good team like Maryland. Look like. Give a five hundred and eighty seven's receiving votes, Lawrence, I got. I got. Well, I gotta give a coach House Handt he's becoming the me for the eighty sevens and the team. Some of those post game interviews looking pretty solid on twitter. It was a fun yes, good point, very well done, and Chris is your Chris Rousso camera manning the Yes, well, I also had Chris do an interview with Adam hoolie after to see the game against I want to say it was the little flyers. Yeah, we're no, no, it was against apple core. It was that game against apple core. I had Rousseau do the interview there and it was funny. That was actually the third time that day that Chris had interviewed Adam Woolie, because normally we do a pregame interview just a couple of minutes before pup drop in the third period. We did one during the game after the ten minute mark, first whistle. I sent it down to Chris where he climbed over one of the boards onto the bench and didn't interview there and then after the game. Also. One thing I do want to say. I do appreciate the officials in the EHL where they don't give us a problem when it comes to having someone ringside or doing an interview on the bench, and also with Adam, because it really enhances the production for the the fans and the parents who are watching and it's just so cool that it we can do that and for someone like me and Chris Jefferson, I'm sure you know this, as a broadcaster, it makes our job fun and it makes it easier for us. Yeah, it does caught war concept. The better. You know if you can change things. So Chris an awesome job for US last year the frozen finals as our Pierre reguire. If you will be the class you know he'll heal. He's jokes. He's Pierre but with more hair. Yeah, is what's funny is whenever people ask, like we all know rich is hand sing the right because Fritz sticks his arm straight up when he has a penalty, but he wants called right. When Chris Watch the talk, he sticks his arm straight up and started to wave in the mic back and forth right. I'm still picturing the finals's going back and forth and he's like, I got something to say. Guys. It's like hold on, Chris, as soon as we get to a whistle, or coming right over to you. The unplug plug that is. And that's the amazing thing too. I pointed out in the last home game that he doesn't have an earpiece and when I brought a man I just told him. Anything that I probably don't notice. Or if you have something unique to say, just bring it up, give me the hand signal. We did something similar at Seaton Hall University, at our radio station Wso you and I think that's a big reason why. It just works. Yeah, that's a good flow. So you the left side of my screen, Jeff up here. Anthony Down here, has voted for little flyers. Five hundred and eighty seven...

...receiving votes. Lauren, did you vote for them also? You're good with that. I'm down without. I'm always down trip, little fire, some love. Okay, I will reserved body. I will say. I mean, I have no choice. I can't say yes or no. I'm going with it. Are there any other receiving votes throughout the League? Or is that it those sixteens? I'd say that's it, but you for can say it was if you so think so. Going once, going twice over the HLP. So so I gotta find the last H LP. The last EH LP was also dropped on Thanksgiving, which prior to that, we actually we moved the seahawks hockey club up to number one for the very first time. That was a curse. They're not first place of these because they got swept by the Wallpole Express. So they're not number one anymore. The railers, since we had the last set of rankings, won two games, lost the game. There was a split of their series down in Philadelphia. The avalanche enter the last power rankings at nine, two and four. They won a single game over wall pole. I want to say it was an overtime game for them right after Thanksgiving. The Rangers were number four at the time. They won two games since the last power rankings. I'll ask the same question that I started the the ehl rankings with. WHO's number one? Gr Yeah, probably probably the hottest team in the PH LP right now. Five straight. They're in first place. I know that, just like the ehl railers, the EHLP railers have a few games in handed they have to make up, but I'm going with Rangers at number one. They're also nine and one in the yeah, they're nine and one in the last ten, so that's pretty solid. Well, if the nine and one trend is consistent in the EHL, with the Walpole Express asked to be at the hlpace. Or Rangers One? WHO's too? Can I say railers, railers, railers. I think they probably would have gained back one if they had gone down to Philly and swept that series. But while we're kind of on the south there with Rangers one, railers to as competitive as the south in the ehl is Anthony, who the hell is going to win the south? Eh LP, right, I mean right, title three. The the little flyers, look like the favorite in the south. They even playing some pretty good hockey. The seven S P team, I mean, I don't know, guys, they're they're doing whatever the EHL team is doing, and you kind of hope they will because they just lost their eight consecutive game. Maybe they go on a four game winning street can get back to five hundred. It's been a tough ride for the eighty seven's. They've been battered, they've been injured, missing that full lineup, but they've also had some tough games in that a game stretch. So they need to turn around a little. Flyers of look good. The Connecticut team to the chiefs their ten seven in two. They've also been playing some really good hockey is of late. So the only good things you for, coach caddle the boys is the only four points up first. Yeah, it's good. So they're still right. So we got Rangers one, railers too, just like ehl, at three. They won the one game they played. The avalanche have to stay at three. The question is now for the seahawks. Did getting swept kick them all the way down to for or kicked them all the way out. I think you could go one...

...of two ways. I think you'd have to either say the seahawks or say valley, because seahawks have been pretty good, but valley's kind of given a run for their money right now. To It's a good point. Or so you go valley for seahawks. Receiving votes. I think you could go either way. Flip of cold, because the seahawks lost the express twice, putting a shoutout, but valley beat the SNS and beat the express, but they lost to the lumberjacks today. And if you want to go these does that game? Is that game over? Yes, it is over. Okay, so I would go see. I would go seahawks for then valley receiving votes. Yeah, Valley has lost two of the three natchets against the seahawks to so if you want to go there close. But then what's their head to head with like like the Chard seahawks at one two Higal's warriors? Well, I also looked up the schedule for the New Hampshire Avalanche because I'm looking at the standings I'm thinking, wait a minute, why aren't they in the conversation and their last game was November twenty eight. Yeah, well, they're well, they're at three, though, Anthony Right, and we're for the avalanche. The big game that I keep hyping for them is coming up on Wednesday the fifteen. They play the valley for the first time since we push valley up into the or and to the north right. That's as your first place matchup right there, I'm gonna say Rangers won, railers to avalanche, three seahawks for Valley. Receiving votes it. Yeah, and then, as there anybody else that needs to receive votes mom terms, are receiving votes, but the express are definitely trending up a little bit because they had three games in the past and like three days and they went to and one. So they're kind of a little bit on the uptick there. So like not necessarily votes, but kind of keep an eye on them a little bit. Will have to call up with it with a new tone, like Nothun I. Not quite receiving votes, but not off the radar. Eating up, eating up there. You. So that just to recap there, as I mentioned before, railers are sorry, Rangers, railers, avalanche, seahawks receiving votes. Warriors. And now we get to our favorite segment, the ecrew fantasy challenge. It's time for the e crew fantasy challenge and the ecrew fantasy challenge is presented by biosteal. These Ford Shrink of the HL use the Promo Code e show. That's ees how for twenty five percent off when you check out at biostealcom. So I clarify at the end of the one hundred episode easier structure for the points given out for the Allstar Classic, because there was too much math that was trying to be done. I just said I got three, Anthony got six, Lauren got twelve, Jeff got eighteen, and no one can say I cheated because I got three. I got last place. I got three. It's just but I will say having all those points Jeff and Lauren has swung this thing because we were like tightening of the Allstar classic and now it's like we're all on our own little tear. Sure are just sup. This is Smith up top UM. I'm so annoyed. I'm so annoyed. So, to recap, I get to pick first this week because I had the worst stretch since Thanksgiving in La Valley. Got Me a pair of goals, one of the power play for seven points. Tobin winslow a single assists Josh Cotie, five points. I had a little bit of the Anthony Syndrome that I got because when I picked the player he got suspended, so that was Evan donnally, but having to be too first week. So yeah, overall I got sixteen points total from this past stretch, which was December,...

...seventh or second through eight. And if you guys want to with my picks for this week, you may call me a hypocrite because I repair lot to thank you, commissie. Yes, I I repick someone and I have a lineup that's kind of shock, if you will. Right when you're in the basement, that's chock helps you get out. All right, go ahead, a fellow base call me a hypocrite because I picked have forward Damon Dulac for the second time. Do like they have six games, as they mentioned. Oh and just to make sure everyone knows, because of the showcase next week and twenty four games and three days, our fantasy picks go from the ninth through the twenty two. So these are basically our fantasy picks until to the turn of the calendar year. So there's there's a lot of ideas. are going to take points. So Damon Dulac up front with the six games. He's one of the top scores for the railers. When I had them before it paid off to be pretty good for me, so I'm going to try and ride that hot hand. On defense, Chris Blanco won the November defense of the month. They have five games, I want to say so hoping for maybe a December defenseman of the month also in there. In goal, there is a little research that I did here because Chris Jackson is taken kind of want to call it a lead. He's on a loan to loan star. He's going to the NA. He's going to the NA for a few weeks because the NA goalie for the lone stars going to the USA Shell some affiliate there, and then the USA show goalie that he's taking new spot is going to world juniors. So what does that mean for for Neil Ravens fantasy team? That means pick Nathan Miller. Don't get cute. Pick Nathan Miller because he's going to have four starts between now and the holiday break and God I hope this is God. I hope it's the way that things have been going for him. Then its first skin of the year. You, Oh God, you know if I if it hiss you? What? He's a low yes. And then for my utility pick, I've picked him before, also, Austin pick, a captain for the seahawks Hockey Club. They, like the railers, have six total games. So to recap Anthony's picks from this as stretched, he had matt in a Sazio, who had five total fantasy points for him. Karen Shung was a great defenstman for Anthony a few weeks ago, didn't get him any points. This time around. Scott Bird has just been so steady since he's arrived in Walpole. Picked up a winner and and eight point four points, and Michael Tersny two assists for Anthony, giving him seventeen point four. What are your picks Anthony from now until the holiday break? Okay, I have to go with one of the best forwards in the League right now for the avalanche. Eiden hotchkiss is writing a bit of a point street right now. Two of his last three games he had multipoint performances. So He's my pick up the forward for defense, just like you, kneel. I'm looking at the railers. I have to go with Tyler and a Sazi. He picked up an assist in his last game and look at the schedule head I think this is a week for him where he has a potential to really go off and that's why I'm going with him. He's done it before and I think he can have a hot stretch here in December. For Goalie's I'm going with Stepan Kuhanik as, a Ninetu one record, came off and win against the East Coats Wizards, three nothing, shut out, and I'm bringing him on to my team. And for the utility position, I'm going with the Connecticut chiefs. I'm going back to the Nutmeke state with Hun with Hunter Rossy. Yes, quote unquote, only eleven...

...points, but he came into the picture for the chiefs in October and he has four points in his last four games. He picked up an assist in that game against the eighty seven, so I got to see him playing person really electrifying. Always has the puck on his sick kind of similar to Jack Divine. They serve as a really good one to punch and I'm going with him for the utility position. That brings us over to Jeff. I mentioned before. He got the eighteen points from the allstar classic. Followed it up this past week. Jeff, when you pick Cole Scott, it's a good pick, but he just doesn't want to do anything for you. Use big part of the Blue Boys, the chimpions, and I dedicate that championship to Rymo grafts. Exhilar rating speech it was who was really I'm not even being sarcastic, ran like blue them. I got chills and you know some other things, and like was good the Blue Boys Locker Room. They went out there and seal the deal with ship season and brother Jere York quote. Yep, Cold Scott was great for the Blue Boys. It's okay, he's allowed to take so tough. But what's funny is, like you have a player that puts up no points right, you still pick second the last because the other three guys got you thirty. Three assists too on the power player for Cory Pa Powser, eight fantasy points for John Werber, and then this is the second time this season he had a player in one week collect six assists for Victor to know. So all that adds up to thirty points for you, Jeff, and what picks do you have for the showcase and on to the holiday break? Well, we'll start with the the reason I'm where my photof little fires fires vers everybody t shirt, courtesy they thy Russo thank you, Mellow Joseph Henson. Come on down. Like he said, they're the one of the teams that has a lot of games in hand. So they're playing five games this week hands and I'm hoping should get the bulk of the starts. Cassidy will probably filter in there a little bit too, and I think I only have one little fires broadcast my showcase schedule, but it's okay. I don't always want a ton of my fantasy players on my broadcast because it makes things kind of interesting, but and kind of stressful. So Joseph Henson's going to be my goaltender. What with two railers? We're going to start with Mike Demascolo. He's been hot lately. Has Ten goals five assists on the year, almost a point per game. Player for coach for Tony, with fifteen points in eighteen games. Six of those are on the power play. Three and three, nice and symmetrical with the power play, goals and apples. He's raiding that produce line which lauren loves to say, and I know what the same like calor comments. That's one of the best car comments I've heard a long time. Hes Goalo as of reason to thank you very much. Being deven school has of late to lots of points, lots of goals. He's picked up six goals in his last five games, so open for might to be able to continue it. And then this one is kind of fun because I told him he was also on the Hashtag Blue Boys. Tyler Drummond scored a filthy, filthy goal and that all star classic and I'm thinking that that's going to carry into the second half for Tyler Drummond. It's getting nine points and eighteen games. I always said, Tyler, going to pick you in the second half. He was like, all right, Jeff, sounds good, man sounds good. So Tyler, I'm a man of my word here is Tyler Drummons can be my team man again. Play numbers right, because we said rollers are going to play six games. So hoping drum and gets a lot of the only has one goal but has the assis. Hopefully maybe a couple more goals for them. Then this is kind of my sexy under the radar pick. It's another BGR Guy, because I remember I did this a few weeks ago Jack Swift, you when he came back for coach Dicaprio over from the USPHL. Nick Colin, it a new guy in the league that a lot of people don't know about. It's got eight points in seven games. Six of those goals to assists, one on the power play, to power plays assists. So I'm going with Nick Colin is my utility. Rangers only have those four games, but if he keeps...

...it the clip piece been at, I think it's gonna put up some good points. For that's it's all I got. And even though we haven't post of this podcast yet, Rache somehow already texted you and said good pick. He snapped in right now somehow. Yeah, yeah, he may. He may have mentioned him before. I'm using my sources to he may. We may have talked about Colin it before he came to insider. So I had a text that I wanted to send in the group test as when I was updating all the fantasy stats, and this has to do with Lauren's points. When I was update all the fantasy stats, I noticed this like trend. If you look at the last few weeks for Lauren, she was getting all these goals, but they were coming from one person. So October, twenty one to Norom a third. He gets five total goals that week, all scored by Egan Spitt the foot. The next week she gets two goals, both scored by Tyler Penley. The following week she gets four goals, all four goals, but scored by Lucas backsite. The next week she gets five goals, four of the five scored by Ryan Popacelli. So I was like, you know what I'm going to I was going to call her out and say something. Then we get to this past week and I'm like, what the hell, because I shouldn't. I shouldn't have said anything, probably because Nick Newman two goals, three assists, one powerplay point, Ryan brow a goal, to assist, one power play point, billy Hartnett, five goals, to assist, one game winner. And that has even included Marshall mccallup. Yet, who lost today as the rough artist, had a pretty crazy comeback to win five four, but, like say, they hang on to win that game. There's there's four more points. Overall. Her weekly point total was forty two point six. And you at you yourself said a few of these are risky picks, right. Didn't you not say that when he submitted those PAS picks? Or is the but they paid off. I don't. Can't see Lawrence this far right now. He deserved that's fun. Oh my God, you keep falling them out. Forty two points sticks. She's my both for rookie of the year. So how do you? How do you match that next week into the showcase? Okay, a few faces we have seen so far the season. One we might not have seen. I don't remember off top my head, but I'm starting off at forward with Columbella. He was disgusting at the All Star weekend in the best way. I'm pretty sure it was my team he had hat trick against and he'd like he's scared by our bench every time. Just give Brownie and back to they look, which was quite quite a fun time and they were both like, oh, we're going to be hearing about this later. And then on the back end we're picking up Mr Jimmy metler from the apple core. He's been pretty hot for them so far. He's, I think, like thred or's fourth for the team. He currently has twenty one points in twenty two games, which is pretty solid, and he's been pretty good so far for them. They haven't been super successful lately, but even the like, despite not being superccessful, they still score a lot and he's a big part of that, whether he's scoring them himself or given all the assists. He has nineteen assists, so he's definitely a big playmaker kind of guy. And in Net I'm picking up big bird himself, Mr Scott Bird from walpole. I'm excited to pull him in and see how he does for me. I've picked up bosher before and he's done pretty well, so trying to hope that the luck with the Wall Pol Alice continues. And then for by utility pick. I don't know if anybody's picked him yet this season, but I'm pulling in Justin harshaw from the chiefs. They have six games coming up in this next couple weeks and I'm excited to see him continue playing because he was super hot at that all star weekend. He earned that spot and he was just like having a show that weekend. So I'm excited to hopefully see him continue at it with these next couple games. And there were put we're seeing them in NEWINGTON. That's where they that's their home rank, so hopefully that's been of an advantage for them. I got one note about Colin Bellah. First off, I do respect that pick, Lauren. Colin Bella had recently become the all time...

...leading score for the Connecticut rough riders. He surpassed Alex Rouella for a hundred and sixteen points as first all time for Connecticut rough riders history. He's now he's also two goals behind his older brother Andrew Bella for the all time goals lead, but Collins at fifty three Andrews at the record of fifty five. So that's a record that he's closing him out. Will you can beat that for Christmas so that I could have some ragon rides Christmas to the too. Absolutely and the two names that you just mentioned at they are both that Manhattanville College. So one of us can get to this question to Colin on we see him this next week. Are you also going to Manhattanville? No pressure, but we have to ask that question. Overall Pointsis so we can tell everyone where we're at. Lauren is in the lead at three hundred and twenty point eight, Jeff is at three hundred and one point two, I am at two hundred and seventy eight and Anthony's at two hundred and sixty one point four, which, as I mentioned before, we were on top of each other going into the Allstar classic and then then we turn over to December and we're at this right now. But, as Justin will say, I'll change of rules somehow and get them in my favor. I'll just hard on ninety two man roster for the boy. Hey, Jeff, Jeff, when you said that the winner of the Allstar classics you get as many points as it takes to get in the first place, it worked out that you went in the first place. Then Lauren's lot up was like we're going to go out and scored eight goals and eight assists and do this and that. So but those are our became a clutch for me at the end. I watched their gus at their game today versus Wimber Jackson. He was just on fire and that was that was honestly one of the most exciting games I've seen like as a whole this season and from the valley boys, like they were getting pretty chippy and I was talking to Zac, met them about yesterday's game and he said it was. He said it was just the lumber jacks took off at the beginning of that game yesterday and that's how they end up with that when. But he was just like, do they always play like this? He's asking about the UMBI's because they were just like super gritty and just like it got very chippy between those two teams. So it was very exciting to see and fun to see billy just have an absolute, like great time today. And with that let's get to what to watch for before we wrap things up. Here's what to watch more this week in the east show what to watch forth presented by hockey TV, the official streaming platform for your EHL and EHLP action through the two thousand and twenty one, two thousand and twenty two season. Forty two games between now and the holiday break in the EHL. You can right, we are going to drop another podcast next Friday, the seventeen, the day after the showcase ends. We're not going to change our fantasy picks because there's just two. It's too tight between that and the end of the year and honestly, for many players at the showcase, the second the showcase leaves they're going home right say. A lot of teams are done. So really all those forty two games? Like I don't have this math in front of me, but there's a lot of them that take place between now and next Thursday, when the end of the showcase, because they just take off and go home. So it'd be tough to pick fantasy and and have balanced teams where it's all the same teams playing those last few days. So forty two games in the EH Shel. I'll try and count quickly here. Eh LP. What Games do you guys have highlighted? Let's go first I have one the actually that's something to do with mystery Anthony. Eighty seven rangers. I have the call of on day one on the Blue Ring side for PM. Eight sevens are on the way back up. How about a test against post junior rangers? Nathan Billard, sorry, you know these stay hot. That's a big one of you goals and buddy. There's twenty five games between now in the holiday break in the EH LP. So we're just like loves are off. We're just going to go crazy here at but to the holiday than everywhere can exhale and breathe over the holiday. Rng On Neil,...

...did you say ehlp first, and Jefferson, were your friend to the EHL? I think there's been of a mix up over here. I was burned to the HL. Yeah, all right, I thought I thought you were leading with the EH LP. That's why I got oh no, no, I was saying between now and the holiday break there's forty two ehl games and Tih LP. Truthfully, I'd like to have a gate, a game to watch from each of us between now and next week's podcast, which the majority of the Games apple levels are going to take place between now and then. There are some EH LP teams coming to Newington, I want to say, for including the chiefs, to four or five, I think. I think we have a railer C oxy seven. Yeah, I think we have three EH L P games per day, but obviously Ehl we have eight per day with one team, one EHL team, setting out per day because of the odd number. So we have one game to watch so far. Jeff just gave us that. You said you're calling that game, Jeff, he sevens rangers. See you know hockey TV for PA Tuesday. So don't get don't get too excited. I guess when Nathan, you know, gives up a gold you'll take that because we love all your players. We're doing this for you, guys. But Yeah, be mild. I'm highlighting next Wednesday, the fifteen, the fifth time this season at the EH L P level that the railers and little fires have faced off and they've split their first four. They weren't supposed to play five. Let's just make sure everyone knows that. Because we lost the team, we had to move some games around and that's how it worked out. Mark Castrat not a big fan of that because he said how do we play the railers five times? They're so good, mark, you beat them to you beat him two of the first four, so the loves you. Yeah, so they actually the first railers loss of the season was at the wall pole showcase against the little flyers and then we talked about their split of the series down in Philly. So to me this is kind of it could be, I guess, be a frozen finals preview. They both make it right, but this this being the fifth game, and they've each one two of the first four. This is kind of the one that pushes the the needle in one direction. So I'm holding that game. I have kind of I won from you, Joly, and UTILP to watch. I think the chiefs are playing the railers this Friday and I think that's going to be exciting. It's a bit of a rematch of their one to one loss that they end up taking back in November, but I'm excited to see how that plays out because I washed. I remember watching that game and the chiefs were leading for most of that game. It wasn' until like right near the end that the railers kind of found a way to fight back and get the win. So I'm excited to see how that plays out again this weekend. And in terms of the P the express have a couple games this weekend and I'm excited to see them. They're playing up in Laconia on Friday and then they played down in hooks it at the abss on Saturday night and I'm excited to see those. especially the Parker brothers have been just absolutely so hot for that team. They have been just like there. You look at any of the score sheet, one or both of them are always on it for every game. It's insane. Philip Parker is like probably a little over a two point per game player at this point. Is Brothers a point per game. His brother didn't a point per game player. Like two of them are just absolutely running away with that team. So I'm excited to see how they do. They're struggling to stay consistent or a little bit in terms of like the wind column, but I think they're kind of on the uptick. Things to those two guys and it's been showing for both of them with three now, I think three or four ehl call ups now between the two of them, so that's pretty exciting to see. Yeah, Philip leaves the League and points with thirty five. I don't know of aid and leads defenceman. But there's your homework, Lauren. figure out what percentage of the points the Parker brothers have accounted for for Walpole, because they are without way, a...

...lot of them, without a doubt, leading that team. So Oh yeah, Anthony Dare Anthony, do you have a game to watch? Did just? Did Jeff Steal it? No, no, no, I mean they're they're a couple of couple to choose from. For One, I think any Connecticut Rough Riders Games in the the near future. Their first one score against the little flyers, I think. Yeah, just seeing Colin kind of chasing that goals record against his older brother, I think that's a great story. And having watched the the Bella brothers for the last couple of years working with the seven's, yeah, it's it's cool to see. They were both fun players to watch. Him and Collins Casey is a fun player to watch right now in the EHL. So I'm keeping an eye on the rough riders for the EHL. Another matchup coming up the little flyers in the New Hampshire Avalanche. Now, before they played against the eighty seven's, the head coach, Mark Catchron, was telling me that, just like what Rosen said, he believes the South Division is the toughest division in the EHL and he talked about the Times that they've beaten teams in the North Division, the East and the central so I think this would be a good contest for Mr Katchron to back those words up and play against a red hot team in the New Hampshire Avalanche. For the P side. Well, I'm gonna switch on the the homer mode. The sevens and the SEAHAWKS. Last time these two teams played against each other it was in the walpole showcase. I was on the call for that with you on that. Yeah, we're on the call together, and that was the one that wented to overtime. That was a good match up and I think that should be another really fun matchup to watch. The final point, I promised my neighbor, Chris Sorella, I would make he made it a point to say that on the next podcast mail you have to highlight how tough our schedule is. I said, okay, Christ's goes. For All, it really have tough when you're that good. I mean to me, yes, because they've won a lot of one goal games this year. Right. I think that their record is solid. I think they are the favorite stone the north, but I think the parody that exists in our league this season is as strong as as has ever been. Right. And when you look at the schedule, you have to acknowledge that they play Walpole and the railers this weekend, Friday Saturday. That's one and two. You just touched on the little flyers game. That the little fire is. Obviously I have sorr. I've circled on their calendar for Tuesday to start the showcase, and then they have Marilyn and they have Vermont. That's that says. I mean, come on, like a COP, show us that these games. Okay, I'm waving. Yeah, Oh, let me open the door for you, my guess, sir. Thank you. I told him, I I told him I bring it up. So I brought it up. All right, it's a tough systo but, as Laurence says, if they're that good, go on win those games. Honestly, it's like, is it really that tough and you're that good? You Got Carlson, watch Kister, Sony, bobbly, paramus. They're racking up the college commitments too, so I think that's kind of a testament to how well they're doing. They always do, always do, consistent and tenders and and tenders. To announce it. I have like so many stories like in the queue to post so that when I post a story now I got coaches saying like can you post ours next? It's like I have this list, like I have so many stories to get out there. Call a Connor Donovan, Jack slift key, I have Nick Coppola. The tenders this showcase. It's like. All right, I just have a break for a second. Like is this is booming business. The booming right, it is definitely booming. We're going to have another podcast next week, as I mentioned. We're going to drop it the day after, though, that we usually do. We're going to drop it on Friday the seventeen. It's going to feature Andy Moore, last year's rookie of...

...the year. You can make a case he could have even been a candidate for MVP. He was that could in the league this past season. Now is playing for Cedar rapids in the USA Shell and its committed to northeastern, maybe for next fall, most likely the following fall, depending on how many northeastern players chef. You know this. When you go to their line chart, it has NHL Logos next to them right. However? Many guys eight or nine draft picks right now on this year's huskies team. The pleasure for there. They're fun watch. Yeah, so when you go to the next game, Jeff just said, cat encourage them to go to the NHL. Our go pro and then, and any more will be their next fall. So the composity of the box. Hey, I don't know. Be Go back to seat here. He's been drafts sterling are for the Wobble Express Scouts for you know. So. So that's still guys. Would you like those Parker brothers numbers? Did you already figure it out already? I had their stats pulled up. What is it? What is the percentage? So for the Parker brothers together there's fifty five points. The rest of the Express hundred twenty one. So they account for thirty one point two five percent of express points. May's almost a third of the express points. I will put my money down, without doing any research, that that probably is the highest percentage of any team in the EHLPING. I'll I'll risk. I'll risk five dollars and that I'll stay. Hey, that a HLP all star game is right around the corner. So, Oh my God, that mine. You put that on my two lists also, as I mentioned on next week's podcast coming out on Friday, and between now and then will we'll see you guys in Newington Lee. Every buddy in the state looking forward to it. Thanks for listening to the e show. Learn more at Eastern Hockey League Dot Org and follow us on Facebook, twitter, instagram and Youtube.
